  • Same I play on PS4. I legit hooked two survs to death in McMillian and no progress. Have also done it in Ormond and Dvarka. Seems like an every map problem lol.

  • I think it was easier to counter before. XD

  • I go in different modes. I usually like rock, nu metal, lofi and the occasional celtic music. I also like moody slow music that I have been told is sad sounding, but I am not sure what it would technically be labeled as.

  • If a killer really struggled, I usually give a mercy kill, especially if they didn't kill anyone. Or if they were just fun. =)

  • I HATE that playstyle. It's not that bad if it's one person, but some whole teams will have it. :/ I usually sit in corner waiting for match to end, it's just not a fun match. Or if I'm feeling froggy I'll attempt a merciless streak.

  • Absolutely! There are some days I'm caught on the first gen right out. XD Over and over.

I was once very successful. Let me just say this, make your money and then get yourself setup comfortable and make your life in such a fashion that all things are cheaper. Solar paneling. Water well with filtration if able. Get a good spot for gardening. Setup your certificates of deposit, ira’s, whatever works on your lifestyle, and then find something that will let you put your feet up and enjoy your life.

At the end of your days you will miss those people. You will most likely not miss your job. Most of us won’t abyway.

I agree with this, I'm starting to get to a "comfortable" level. I started buying everything in bulk, for example insurance if you do the yearly plan, I save 100 yearly for doing that, I just have to plan to put back money for that big payment. Same stuff for like phone, I pay Mint Mobile, pay 200 yearly for phone and it saves a lot of money to spend on traveling, which I love, just making swaps like that.

  • The new Scream actually is really good, I really enjoyed how they introduced the new main "survivor girl" and how she is tied in with the original Scream people. Quiet Place is really good. =) So is the Invitation and Unholy, if you like scary.

  • I did within the last month, saying I completed all trophies. It's weird tho, because I technically have two left.... but maybe it's because I got all the base game trophies? I'm still missing 2, one with Huntress and one for Wesker.

The big round things are Yorkshire puddings, a staple of any roast dinner in britain, pigs in blankets (the bacon wrapped sausages) are a must on Christmas, kinda overdid it on stuffing, roast potatoes are there too, and theres a good bit of turkey too

You can never overdue it on stuffing....

  • Carmina!!!!

(And Jeeps for the actual cars. XD)

I'm too soft for my own good, so any tunnel or bleedout instance in my killer games are accidental. If my 5th frenzy hit is the last unhooked, well... it happens ! I'll apologize if the survivors bring it up. They usually don't.

I've done a couple of accidental full bleedouts when I started playing killer, as I was playing Hag with her base kit for a while and didn't realize Third Seal prevents survivors from seeing their downed teammates. I'd down a survivor, someone would set off a trap, and I'd be teleporting on instinct and be too disoriented to remember where I left the slug.

I eventually took the hex out of my builds because I felt bad for how strong it was against solos.

Honestly you can tell when a full bleed out is intentional, they usually slug the whole team. I know it's a "tactic" but it's so unfun to just play a game by laying on the ground the entire round lol. I get it if one person is slugged tho. Most of the bleed outs mean the killer is camping that downed person.

  • I'm having a lot of problems with loadouts too, but it's more like they reset every single time I play a character, or swap characters, or reset my game. :/

I was so happy getting to leave customer service. All of my jobs prior to this one were customer facing (and even in this company, I've had four jobs and I foolishly let one of those jobs be customer service; never again).

Obviously most jobs still have some kind of a customer, even if it's an internal customer like my current job but I am going to do everything in my power to never have to work with the public ever again 😅

Man I feel you SO much! =) Where I work now I am a case manager, so it's more like a case load where I meet with the same 20-40 people, so it's enough not to drive me crazy, but I can know them well enough to make progress. There sheer quantity of different people through fast food was frustrating, but we were expected to be so shiney and happy,

  • @tippy2k2 said:

Satisfied is a strong word. Content might be a better word for it.

I'm 36 years old. I have a house (something many of my peers can't say as the housing market has royally F'ed my generation). I have an established career (I don't love my job but I don't think about driving into incoming traffic on my way to work anymore), and I finally feel like my brain is in a healthy place (I've talked a few times about it but these antianxiety pills have been a life changer for me).

Life could certainly be better and maybe now that my student loans are finally dead along with my happy pills I'll be able to actually focus on improving what I don't like about my life but life is always a work in progress. I know it's cliche but all you can do is take it one day at a time

I feel you on this. I have a career now, and the fact that I have escaped the customer service crap was fantastic. Like, I actually liked working fast food but they wanted WAY too much for you for little pay. Same with my loan service job, and others. :/ At least I get paid more to deal with the BS.

  • I hate how their lunges have been longer. I'll literally vault and be heading away from the window and I'll get hit. T.T It makes me want to stop using Lithe.

  • I was not expecting this to be what I needed in my evening.....

  • @Aurelle said:

Nope. I feel like I can't do anything right and that my life has no meaning. I don't even know what I want to do in life, which is frustrating because I've been thinking about it for years and can't find anything I'm good at or can stick to. Just want to get my life together tbh.

Honestly, I found a lot of meaning in my life when I started focusing on my hobbies again. Like.... as a kid, I liked to draw, and dance, etc. And eventually I got taken up by things like work, school, etc. So, I started scheduling physical exercise for myself, and I had to find a way to make it more fun. So instead of hitting the gym, I now go to dance/Zumba, as well as Yoga and Tai Chi. Like, try to change up some stuff so your not doing the same old stuff, and you are focusing on more fun things. I have a hard time letting go and relaxing because I'm super hyper I HAVE TO GET THINGS DONE. But making myself do things like art, or dancing made me feel better. =)

I also had to reevaluate what it meant to be be me, because I live in Kentucky where you are very gender-roles oriented, and children are a must for women. I'm child free by choice, and plan to eventually marry a woman. So I had to rethink what my future would look like without a husband and child. Think about what you imagine yourself doing if you think of yourself in the future, and its surprisingly enlightening. I didn't realize that I didn't imagine myself with kids until I tried that exercise lol.

  • I think it makes sense. Usually in horror themes, the killer knows before the survs do. I actually wish tho, that survs could see each other's builds before playing a match. So they know for example to save a totem for someone, or that someone hiding in a locker isn't being a coward lol.

    you do, just not Carnifex

it takes 6 seconds to break the gen for Jailor or Assassin, thats 6 seconds that a Survivor cant work on that gen. While its of course very situational, there's still a use for it

I'm still trying to learn about the minions, so I didn't know that....

At least you can injure them with victor and have full control over him. Yes there is a learning curve to it but knights guards are not even on nemesis zombies level.

nemesis zombies give info and appearantly since i had a nemesis who double add on'ed their speed they will chase you off gens as soon as you got on one, cling to them as if its their personal property. And then when you think you found another gen, the same zombie comes at you when you have made it to 20 seconds progression because he followed you. Way better minions than guards.

I feel like if they are used right, you can get some good information. Like, if I don't know where a surv is, I'll just let the minion run through the middle. Or, behind me to go back to a hooked surv to see if someone is returning, or ahead of me to know if they are on a gen, or diagonal to a gen I'm checking so I can corral them into minion.

  • You just gotta wait until the survivor's icon shows green to show "being chased" as active is all. Then hit them.

  • Man, lemme tell ya. I'm not a killer main, but he made me pick killer back up. =) He's really fun to play I think.

  • Dude the amount of time I get caught on these random objects is annoying. XD When you are looping a killer you have to look back alot and it's SO easy to run yourself into a wedge. I do it as killer too, trying to chase people. I notice it happening on pretty much every map, but there is one that particularly gets me. It's in the new map, and theres like.... a dark corpse of an animal or something at the end of a loop, but it's really low and you just are running and then can't run any further.

  • It does suck, it basically makes it so you can't kick a gen with a minion lol. It's like trying to play Twins, Victor doesn't have any perks, just Charlotte. XD

The adept was surprisingly easy ... against beginners.

Against decent players though, shift-W trumps all.

I don't particularly like his abilities, so once I got Adept I switched that up for sure. Although, the stunning with a pallet one might be fun with certain killers.

  • What got me is her "hair" cosmetics. They literally change her earrings. T.T They didn't even bother to like change her hair stripe color. XD *is Haddie main*

  • @Krazzik said:

Apparently when survivors know how to play asgainst him he's pretty weak. If the Knight starts summoning a guard the survivor can just hold W to another tile, and the guards in general are slow and easily outran.

I think like most of the abilities you can't just spam them. I usually use them in chase and aim for the left or right, and then go the opposite way and try to run someone into the guard. I can usually down them by letting the ghost hit and me right after.

  • Also keep in mind that everyone is having really bad glitches issues. I've had to disconnect multiple times with the update because it only shows the cursor circle thing and won't let me play or move. :/ It's a known issue.

  • I'll be honest, I've only ever gotten the map with Killer so far, and I've struggled, BUT I've only really been playing Knight for his Adept so I can't be a fair judge....

  • It is so FUN having to try and get people to go towards a guard. Although I'm struggling with his adept. T.T

  • Honestly, if they keep locker hopping, I'll literally drag them out, drop them, pick them up, drop them. They will eventually automatically break free.....

  • Camping at end of match is only acceptable camping.... *per surv main*

But how does that make it balanced for both survivor and killer. If a survivor unhooks in the killers face thats on the survivor. the killer shouldn't be punished for that (this is a reason im against the base kit BT but thats gonna forever be in the game)

Honestly, I think it's just to protect Solo Q players. Sometimes you get stuck with really inexperienced killers, and I think it TOTALLY makes sense for the killer to attack them if they are stupid enough to do that in front of the killer. But at least it gives the helpless hooked person a chance. XD

I am very sorry to read about that diagnose of yours and wishing you the best fighting it! Don’t be too sad about your past, you accomplished great things with your degree and job I am sure and you can be proud of it! Without that your emotionally aspects could have suffered anyways!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3262252#Comment_3262252

Realizing you have cut off people you were close with is the first step to rekindle your relationships! Try to reach out, explain your situation, real friends will understand and help you! Depending on how severe your trust issues etc are maybe considering therapy or something wouldn’t hurt either?

also -not sure how old you are- but don’t just live for the expectations your parents put on you if it was never actually your personal desire to begin with. You are living your life for yourself not for anyone else.

reading this thread I guess I don’t have anything I can actually complain about. Though I do wish I had a more interesting job and well, health conditions could be better but also way worse

That is true, I'm proud of it. But I like to tell people so they don't forget to nurture the emotional aspects of their life.

But, since I also got that degree, I work with the population that tends to be homeless, struggle with addiction, or people from abusive pasts/households, and it's made me realize I'm very blessed with my parents, so I can't complain besides that. =)

  • I'm telling you what, I'm glad we lose it, cuz as a solo q I've had WAY too many people get me off hook in front of killer and I have no way of getting away.

  • @Phantom_ said:

Sneaking up on survivors as Ghosty and grabbing them off gens 😈 *evil laughter*

Jeeeeezus. I'm telling you what, a good sneaky Ghostie can make my soul leave my body lol.

My favorite thing is flashlighting. It's my new favorite thing, but it makes people so mad. XD

  • As an Oni Main, do it.

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

My squirrel brain forgets who I played with about three seconds after I leave the lobby, so I wouldn't know.

Same. Plus, most people I "befriend" from games don't tend to come back for another game, the invites are very random. T.T Except for a handful.

  • Sooo, this is going to get you a LOT of vindictive survs lol. I legit basically threw the match. I had a key, had the bill perk to get out, self heal, empathy and lightweight so I could get out. I basically used empathy to avoid helping people, threw down pallets so people could be taken out easier. But you also have to be seen occasionally doing gens, and while someone is on a hook you have to move around, "try" to help them, or be seen doing a gen because lemme tell you people got MAD at me. I basically had to get everyone killed, find the hatch, and then hide in a locker near it until the killer closed it and then ran to it.

  • Honestly, I don't find Ruin to be that obnoxious. I honestly find that when people realize that Ruin is a thing they double down and finish gens quick. They rarely bother to even find the totem. XD When I got Ruin, I will automatically use my toolbox, which I usually reserve to get some Sabo points.

  • Honestly, I think some stormy maps would make it really interesting....

  • Lol you got some salty survs. Honestly, I wish we had more Freddies, I really like how his "grayed out dream world" looks.

  • Honestly, I would be excited if Hannibal came to the table, no puns intended.

    For Clarice.....

Call of the Lambs - You are very proactive of those that are hurt. When you unhook someone, you get a token to "Yell" or make a noise, and distract the killer possibly from the hurt person.

Face the Beast. You are not afraid of those people with dark intentions, when on the hook you can reassure yourself if they still within 10 m, and your countdown stops for 30 seconds.

    As for a third, I'm stuck. =)

  • @AverageAshEnjoyer said:

I believe you unlock them once you get all the entries. Don't quote me though

That's true, but usually they have like a video icon showing that you can unlock it when you go the pages to read/listen. :/ Not this time tho.

  • I'm struggling in some areas. In some areas I'm sad. I basically went to school right out of High School, and I focused on my degree. Took a break and worked at McDonald's, realized I couldn't live off of those wages, and went back to school. So I got my Bachelor's in Human Services, and got a fairly good paying job. But, I basically worked/school scheduled myself for about 6 years straight to get it. And prior to that I had been in the hospital alot. So I didn't have a lot of time to be social, date, etc. And just recently have been diagnosed with cancer. So I'm actually sad, I feel like I wasted a lot of time being serious/working/getting a degree and not making room for more emotional aspects of life.

  • @Remedicist said:

I've actually never tried it with mustard before. I personally like it with ketchup. The breakfast corndogs are also pretty good with maple syrup.

Oooo, I totally forgot about those. Yes those are so good. <3

  • I don't mind the killer, but you have to be smart.... like, everyone can't group together or the shocks will have us all screaming. He's much better if people realize that and don't group in one area of the map.

  • It's much easier to run the loop a couple times so he has to commit to the chase and eat the pallet.

  • Hey, I love killers who get two hooks before killing everyone. I honestly think it means your a strong killer because you managed to get EVERYONE twice. They're just salty.

  • I mean, he's like most killers, they tend to have maps they are good at, and maps that are worse. Like Ghostie is better in darker arenas. Triskster/Huntress need some throwing room. Dredge needs lockers. I think he's pretty good overall.
