Of course. You just see more of it from survivors.
Yeah because maths: 4 survivors per killer
You see way more toxic survivors, even if you take that 1:4 thing into account

Playing doctor is toxic.I have had killers camp me because they had a hard time catching me, while camping me they would continously hit me. I see that as toxic, but if I am in a swf I don't care, I just tell my buddies to rush generators and guide them towards each other so they can do it faster. ^^
Face camping is toxic. Tunneling someone down with 5 gens left to be done is toxic.
After game chat is usually also toxic if the killer completely loses. (Blaming their loss on every perk, every item they can.)
If tunneling a survivor is toxic, is tunneling gens toxic too? Just curious

@meshugganahSo I should teabag every killer because some killers are toxic to me as well. You don't need to be rude to everyone if someone is being rude to you. That will only make dbd worse.
We have passed that line already, it doesnt matter anymore.

Doctors that do nothing but shock and refuse to melee.

Killers who dc the moment they see what offerings were tossed up or just dc the moment the round starts in general.
How is tunneling toxic? If tunneling is toxic then doing gens is toxic.
Apparently doctor with large terrorradius is toxic too

There will be ALWAYS better skills/perks than others in every game, but just because there are (let's say) 8 which you consider are mandatory doesn't mean you should run them all. That is part of the game's fun, making you choose instead of having the same build in every match. I personally think that would be boring as hell.
PS: Mmmm there are high rank killers who don't use ruin because competent survivors can hit great skill checks most of the times and also because it can be removed.Sure there are always better perks etc, but in DBD there are some perks you cant even compare to each other. SC vs dejavu for example, I mean #########? THere is a reason why SC is used in 99% surivor builds.
The only high rank killer that can play without ruin is nurse probably because she can end chases a lot quicker.
if a survivor team is competent enough to hit great skillechecks in chains, then they can make you lose anyway if they want to -

Bloodlust doesn't counter looping though. Every time you break a pallet, it gets reset. The only way it would counter looping is if you intentionally do not break a safe pallet and instead decide to run back and forth for 30/45 seconds. But in that case, you are objectively making the wrong decision and I don't think they game should hold your hand and reward you for playing poorly.Even if we aren't talking about pallet loops specifically, any decent survivor that knows how to run tiles correctly and use windows to their advantage probably knows that all they have to do is throw down one safe pallet, vault back and forth, and then boom, BL is gone.
You start bloodlusting around a pallet spot, thats literally the point of bloodlust. This way you can catch a competent survivor faster than runing after him till he exploited every window loop in the map.
Please explain it to me, how is it a bad decision to waste 30 sec or sth stacking up bloodlust 3 instead of chasing the survivor through the whole map if you know that he is competent enough to keep you occupied even longer?
Sure, if looping wasnt such an insane time waster, then it would be a stupid idea to stack bloodlust at a single pallet, but thats not how the game works currently

But it isn't even hard to catch survivors... 100% of the time the killer spawns next to one survivor basically already 1 free kill . Remember it is more likely SWF so they will not let him die eventually they'll come for him...I still fail to see the insanity .. Are all killers affriad to just stop chasing a Survivor that's going to loop them?
Do you ever play killer?

Yes but the problem is that the game only gives you enough time to catch and kill 1 if survivors play efficient enough

Read the bit above. If you've been on the hook, and he hasn't, even if you're both wounded, I'm going to choose you to chase. Just like in RPGs, focus and kill one enemy at a time.Dude, I get WHY killers do it. I'm saying that it's the easy thing to do. If you are a good killer you shouldn't be taking the easy way. I will let survivors unhook near me and go for the guy that made the save IF I can afford it. That's the difference between a good killer that plays fair and a bad killer that plays unfair. The good killer can do that and kill you, but it's easy, so they don't and STILL end up killing everyone, that is a good killer. It's also a good game for EVERYONE because when killer camps or tunnels someone that forces survivors to gen rush.
This is why my NM build (NM, Resil, Kindred, BT) will beat any tunneling or camping killer. If you camp someone, I will run in for a YOLO save and the ONLY way to stop me is hit me before I get there or they time the grab perfect when I save (if I do it right). If you tunnel, I will show up and eat the hit, now you have to hook me. If you let the other guy go and hook me, gens get rushed. If I'm up and about (and I know you camp/tunnel) I will gen rush until I need to eat another hit. A killer that wants to have fun and a longer game should just constantly slug me.
Its not the easy thing to do, its a clever thing to do. I still dont understand why survivors consider tunneling to be easy. Tunneling is only choosing your target, you still have to catch it.
Yeah yeah I read about your NM build in the other thread already, I still cant see how it would be more efficient to run NM over the usual meta stuff
-
Tunneling is targeting player after he has been unhooked. In reality I will decide on the go, if player a is injured while b is healthy I will go for a if he doesn't have DS. If a and b are both equally healthy then I will always go for b because he is closer to death.
Once survivors get more experience you simply don't have enough time for that luxury of switching targets -
Considering low performance and controller gameplay, I guess that list is quite appropriate

TUNNELING
ISN'T
A
THINGIt's more commonly known as COMMON SENSE! Maybe he's chasing you because all the time because you're terrible at hiding and/or running, huh? You're the injured one, the others aren't, why would he go after them? You're closer to death on the hook! So why, WHY would he go after anyone else? Also, I nicked this example from someone a while back, it's a pretty neat example;
If there were two generators very near each other and one of them was 50% done and regressing, and the other generator is 0% done, which one would you work on?
If you said the 50% generator, congratulations, you "tunneled."Yes, because it's common sense to follow someone for five gens instead of switching targets. Tunneling is a thing whether you want to admit it or not. Killers will often overlook an easy hit and an easy kill to go after what they've been chasing the whole time. I've seen it done even without them being the obsession. What OP was referring to is more of an etiquette related to tunneling, though. You're facing people who are trying to gain points and have fun in the game. Not NPC generators to M1 and occasionally press Space bar on. While you may see it as 1 vs 4, the 4 of them aren't earning points as a unit. While someone farming or camping them affects their score, it isn't necessarily their fault. I've had killers camp and tunnel me, then thank me for not being toxic in the next screen over. You're also picking an easy target, which isn't a show of skill. It isn't impressive. I think killers need a buff to address a team better, but also a penalty for doing lazy behaviors (as it'd be rough to play survivors if there wasn't one; killers would tunnel and camp regardless).

Where is the fairness in that?As obsession, it's super important to not get caught. Especially if you're without an obsession perk. Avoid it if you can. If the killer has dying light or remember me, they'll often camp or tunnel the obsession. If you're not that great in a chase, learn. It's part of the game. Kate has a perk that will help you locate pallets and you can also watch tips and tricks videos. If you have friends in the game who are better at it than you, you can also ask them to help you learn the ropes in KYF. Alternatively, maybe look at your perks. Premonition and Spine Chill help if you're found right away too often. Urban Evasion will help you sneak away fast and sometimes killers don't notice things closer to the ground. Quick and Quiet is good for jumping through something and losing them if they happened to have broken eyesight with you. Iron Will will make you quiet when you're hurt and Bond will let you know where your friends are. I would say experiment until you find what helps you or what fits your play style.
I guess I can see where you're coming from, but I can't stand it when somebody screams about tunneling when all that happened was them getting hit immediately off the hook. You mentioned getting an easy hit/kill, and if you're by the hook or a few yards from the hook as Huntress, the person getting off the hook is the easiest person to hit.
Now, the killer following one person and one person only the whole round, I suppose that would be tunneling, though I've never encountered it myself so it would just be an in-theory thing, though I suppose if people are complaining about it I guess it does happen. It's similar to how I think camping is fine unless they do it when there's 2-5 generators and/or on first few hooks. It's just... dude, what are you doing, you're doing no one a favor, not even yourself. So I can see your point.
I just hate it when people yell at the killer after hitting someone who just got unhooked.
The issue is that the survivor (if hit straight from the hook) isn't really given a chance and a lot of it is in the hands of the person taking them off. If someone decides that their stacks are more important than you living the match, it's unfortunate for you. You're unlikely to get any points unless you were able to do stuff before being caught. I've had someone in a survivor match do that, but I've also had survivors unhook right behind me when I was right nearby. They didn't even have bt. If a survivor is tunneled all game, the most they can get is the points from before they were tunneled and 8k if they get enough pallet stuns and run the killer around enough. I just think killers should be buffed to the point where they don't need to do that, but camping and tunneling shouldn't be rewarded if that's the case. It'd be too easy. I've had too many killers tell me it was the easiest way to get pips and that should be changed imo.
If a survivor only gets point from being chased, then I guess he only pallet looped and didnt manage to lose the killer. (yes thats what the game is about actually)
And you shouldnt blame the killer for tunneling, as you said its mainly the unhookers fault for unhooking you next to the killerTruetalent had a nice idea: He suggested to introduce debuffs on the survivors (gen debuff e.g.) if the killer hooks a new survivor, unfortunately that idea was thrown in the trash by survivor mains, so we will stick to tunneling being the most efficient way to play.
When people farm like that, it's kind of expected. I'm talking about when a killer camps, he often tunnels, too. Him camping is wasting so much of his time and so is his tunneling, but it also keeps the person away from doing gens or going for saves. Oftentimes, the person doesn't get a lot of points, either. I'm typically fine. I'm not toxic, so most of my solo games go well unless I somehow get with a SWF. Honestly, that can be annoying. I've literally had games where I was like "Why'd he camp me?" and went to see everyone else chain blinding the killer. Since I'm solo quite often, I do my best to avoid being caught. You're lucky to get off without going into stage two when you're by yourself. That is if the killer doesn't decide to camp.
There needs to be a buff or reward for hooking different survivors or not going after the unhooked person (tunneling). While some people are empathetic, not everyone is and not every killer dabbles in survivor. It is admittedly quite easy to camp and tunnel and people naturally go towards the easier option if not given a reason not to.
I know it sucks to play with a SWF, sometimes I even lobby dodge them when i play survivor..... kinda sad actually.
There have been several ideas how to reward hooking different survivors, truetalent suggested e.g. to give survivors debuffs (gen debuff e.g.) if the killer gets a fresh hook. But you know how survivor mains react to such ideas.....
It might be easy to camp, but its a really bad strategy that only works against bad survivors.
Tunneling is just the most effective way to play the game and has to do nothing with "easy" because when tunneling you just target a single survivor before the other ones, you have to chase him anyway -

Why waste time, just hit them at the hatch and teach the next survivor team a lesson by making them have a horrible time
And then when you slug the 3rd guy and go after the 4th the 3rd guy will just DC so his buddy gets the hatch.
Yeah why not, DCing isnt punished anyway

TL;DR version - "Killers playing efficiently is boring, and they should be punished for it."
10/10 Survivor logic right there. When can Survivors start being punished for working on generators that have already been partially repaired?
TL;DR - "Killers camping is lazy and you should get additional points for not afking in front of someone or for changing it up"
Didn't know people needed a tl;dr for a paragraph, but there you go. When I play killer, I don't camp or tunnel. It's more fun that way tbh. That way I don't feel like I'm targeting one person.
No, you literally said Killers should be punished for not playing how you believe is fun.
Just for the record, in case you didn't realize, this is a PvP game. The Killer is not there to amuse you; he's the opposing team.
Just for the record, in case you didn't realize, this is a PvP game. Meaning, you're not playing against robots. You cheat, it's wrong, right? Tunneling and camping makes the game an awful experience for everyone but the killer evidently. I personally find it boring, but you seem to like it. It sucks for survivors, though. Have some empathy. Survivors have the right to want to have fun in a game they've payed to play, too. Like I've said in other posts, I would be up for killers getting a massive buff if they could stop the camping and the tunneling. Make it viable to go after the healthy one, rather than the hurt one. Maybe patrol the gens instead of the one on the hook. Make the gens naturally go slower if the killer is nearby or something. This game takes both survivors and killers and just because you find it "fun" doesn't mean it's correct or "fun" for everyone. I'm sure the toxic survivors who say stuff like "EZ" and cuss you out for being bad or make fun of you also finds that fun, but that's not very nice. I'm sure the people who cheat also find that fun, but that isn't right.
I play survivor too. I am fine being camped because I know that my team can escape then
Only tunneling feels bad, but well.As killer I wont tunnel survivors if the survivors dont tunnel gens. Thats only a fair compromise, do you agree?
If survivors tunnel gens however, they dont leave me enough time to 2 hook everyone before I start killing, so I switch my game strategy to tunneling in order to become more time efficientI'm fine with camping on certain conditions. Otherwise, it annoys me. I dislike when it happens at the start of the match or before I get much points. I understand when it happens if someone's being toxic and they're camping for that, that's fine. The issue is that camping is quite easy and even rewarding. You may need to find someone first, but you can basically just afk around them and someone is likely going to try to go for the save. They want their points and their friend off the hook.
I don't mean to be rude, but is English your second language? I believe you mean to say "survivors rush gens" not tunnel. I can understand that sentiment and something should be done to make the process a bit more complex. Like, maybe having to fetch something for the generator, too. Gen rushing typically happens because of a lack of pressure on the field, but there's bound to be some off while you're chasing. If one doesn't camp, they'll switch targets to someone else and that's three people doing something else (assuming someone's going for the save). If you don't tunnel, you'll hopefully just get the current person you're chasing down. If you happen to run into the other person again, I don't really think that's tunneling unless you actually go out looking for them. I think that's kinda hard to say it happened for sure, though.
Yes english isnt my mother tongue, but I dare to say that im quite confident using it

Doesnt matter how you call it, genrush or tunneling gens (what does that have to do with english btw?)Look at it analytically:
As killer it is called tunneling when you proceed completing your objective on a single survivor, after the first hook this survivor is at 33% dead, after 2nd hook 66% dead. It is for some reason considered toxic to tunnel, i.e. playing efficiently by completing your objective in a time efficient way.Now compare that to survivor
If you have repaired a gen to 66%, would you change your gen now or would you complete the 66% gen?
Because if you complete the 66%gen, then you are tunneling gens.Thats literally using the definition of tunneling brought up by survivors.
As I said, non-tunneling survivors give me enough time not to tunnel them too.And I would like to challenge you to explain me how a killer can be more effective by not tunneling, its literall common sense to do that.
And regarding the killers that do well without tunneling/camping, I challenge you to show them to me, and ofc they have to be high ranks, non-nurses and play against a competent team of survivors.
-
As you said, as long as SC is a thing, such a perk is easily countered by the 99% strategy.

Didn't know people needed a tl;dr for a paragraph, but there you go. When I play killer, I don't camp or tunnel. It's more fun that way tbh. That way I don't feel like I'm targeting one person.
When you play killer? You mean once per week for dailies at rank 20?
Yeah at those ranks you can play fine without tunneling -
No, too many other perks have become mandatory due to flawed map/game design

And now what? > @Chrona said:
There's one big assumption here: That I was playing SWF. Nope, solo.
I ended up being the distraction, while others broke it, but either way, my problem is less with the addon and his change, but with how he was completely able to block a large objective with a single trap. There's a reason he can't put traps right next to a generator, you know.
And frankly, working through ruin would be fine if it didn't do the whole "and now your progression is completely stopped for 3 seconds" bit. Really fun when you get 5 skillchecks in a row, and you end up back at 0% from 50%, with two people working on it
If you are too bad in hiting skillchecks you can use the accepable exploit and just tap the gen

I always wonder why people consider 50% kill rate balanced. Such a rate can almost everytime be achieved by hardcamping the first guy and killing a second with NOED.On my opinion it should be rare that survivors escape, but then I am a very special guy that expects to fear the killer in an horror game, I know not everyone thinks like that
50% was just an example. Developers might as well think 75% kills is better ... I can't really tell.
In my personal opinion we can understand the scores in the following fation :
0 Kill : shame on the killer. (4 winner / 1 loser)
1 Kill : the killer loose, shame on him and the dead survivor. (4 winer / 1 loser)
2 Kills : that's a tie. (2 winner / 3 losers including the killer)
3 kills : both the killer and the final survivor wins (2 winner / 3 losers)
4 kills : Killer wins, shame on all his victims. (1 winner / 4 losers)Thats sth I could agree to. Basically the average kill rate should be 2,5 then if BOTH teams are experienced players.
However, if you look at the official tournament that kill rate is way below 2,5, especially if the killer isnt playing nurse. You might find it interesting to look at the excel statistic of the depip squad too

Perfect... So we can all ban Toxic players IP's so they realize that they shouldn't be toxic.... Therefore leading the game towards a better place. PERFECT. I think every1 should use this.I don't think you understand. Blocking some1's IP using a program that comes with your modem/router is not illegal in any way. Sort of like blocking ports.
If all 24,000 players played with a wallhacker just once and blocked him it would take around 6,000 games for him to never get a lobby. In any case, we would be that much closer to making a cheater quit.
By blocking the wallhacker you are not better than the wallhacker himself.
You both exploit a 3rd party programm, in front of the TOS there is no difference and both will get your acc permanently banned. Its the devs job to bann the wallhacker, not urs to block him and in fact MLGA was abused to avoid good players, nurse players, mori users etc etc (you see where this leads to)

@1Handirl said:
I don't see how blocking a persons IP address is bannable. I can't get into trouble for ignoring my neighbor for example or blocking some1's number on my phone, etc. I asked and no it's not MLGA he said. It's something he has been using for games since 2012.It was allowed in the beginning but devs removed it from the whitelist when they introduced the ip blocking thing.

@1Handirl said:
That whenever he runs into a killer that camps, lags, cheats, etc he just blocks that guys IP address so he never has to play with them again. He said that if he joins lobby and gets a error to join the lobby that it's most likely some1 he blocked. Is this a popular tactic survivors use to avoid playing against toxic killers?
The programm is called MLGA and its use is bannable.
Whether it actually is detected is a different question, but we see a "got banned even though didnt do anything" threads from time to time

That is the kind of nerf that takes a must-pick, and turns it into a never-pick. If I remember correctly, even the highest one heals at about half the speed of a common medkit. It's a very good perk, no argument. But I feel it is relatively balanced. I would say, at most, more frequent skillchecks, which would give survivors more of a chance to mess up, and end up notifying the killer.Dont think that SC is balanced just because you are not directly impacted like DS. SC enables the survivor to be insanely time efficient because they dont have to search each other to heal up.
Try palying solo survivor without SC, you will end up playing no mither without its bonus basically
The fact that 99% of survivors use SC should be reason for a decent nerf already

I lost the progression of a day earlier this week, nobody cared and I got no answer in my thead (devs dont read forum anyway btw)

Like rank 8s playing with a rank 20 to get newbie killers. Can anything be done about that? It's hard to get better at killer when all you face is people who think they're good at the game 'cause they bully newbies. I'd honestly be okay if they didn't round it up. Go by the highest rank 'cause they shouldn't expect an easier match when playing with newbie friends. Js.Any other competitive game restricticts the elo area players can play with for obvious elo boosting reasons.
But then DBD can hardly be called competitive, rank doesnt mean anything, DCs not punished etcetcAlso teh fact that the eloboosting SWF can face a low rnak killer is just ridiculous. I still remember the game where I faced 3 rank 1s and a rank 20 and I was at rank 18 (quite some time ago), after that game I started actually learning the game and realizing how bad balance actually is

I play Nurse. No Mither users die very quickly in my games.
Which usually leads to multiple people disconnecting.
So I'm not sure how this build of yours is meta.
Imagine this. You are chasing the obsession and you can definitely get them and make them waste DS right? Now imagine that when you go to swing for the down you hit me instead. Obsession can get away and killer is left with dilemma. Hook me and give the team Kindred (which at high rank I found makes teams play super optimally even if they are all solo), or slug me and let me get up so I can do it again and again. If killer never hooks me I can get up as much as I want and I don't need anyone to help me. If I go down and killer loses me on the ground, I'm gone. Everyone else is on gens. I can make a DS last much MUCH longer. Killer will waste a lot of time with me taking hits for other players and forcing them to only hook me, making the game go faster, or leave me alone and I do gens (also faster). I can make saves right in the killer's face with BT and killer can't stop me, even LF. They have to time the grab, and unhook with Resil is fast. If you see me in your game I'm going to make it my job that your first 3 hooks are on ME, and by the time I'm dead the other 3 are at the door waving. Basically having a NM player with this build ensure the killer gets exactly 1 killer, NM guy.
Think of NM as a time sink for the killer, where she spends all her time only to catch me first 3 times (if I want to make that happen). Every time she hooks me the game goes WAY faster, and every time she doesn't have tabs on me I could be doing gens really fast. The fact you want to die messes with a lot of killers, they want other people not you, the easy to kill guy.
As a killer I will always avoid chasing the DS pleb for obvious reasons. If a no mither guy jumps in front of me, a dream comes true tbh.
That thing with kindred is kinda interesting, as solo survivor its actually an insane benefit for your team, no double safes happen etc, but they plan to built in kindred soon anyway (will break the game if you ask me).
Yes you can make the DS guy not waste his DS, but as a killer I actually never want him to use DS. In fact, I will try to kill the no mither guy ASAP in order to only have 3 survivors anymore and the NM guy can be killed quicker cus 1 hit.
I dont really see how NM makes the killer waste more time for you than if he would chase a DS guy or even a normal 2 hit guy for example.

Why do we lose our items feels like a cruel punishment to survivors. I have been trying more survivor games lately and sucks when lose all your items when they decided to quit at start.
Ehm what? You dont lose your items if the killer DCs, you only lose the offering
In fact the killer loses his addons if the survivors DC.... its exactly the other way round LOL
I have lost 6 toolboxes due to killer dc, so must be a bug in ps4 build. Each time they even state i lost the item in the screen and its addons. I don't see it other way around cause i killer main and this issue never came up cause rare for all four to be quiters.
There is a bug that will make the item dissapear from your suirvivor loadout, but it will jsut be sent back to the inventory. Might have been this bug, dont know.
What do you mean you dont see it other way around? As killer you will always lose everything after a match, and this means also a match where all survivors Dced. If you dont know that killers lose their stuff after a match, how can you call yourself a killer main?

it's a 50/50. If the hag knows what they're doing it's scary as heck but the could also be new, And you can counter just by using a flashlight or crouching (that's were urban invasion comes into play). also when I do activate her trap my heart always skips a beatNice to hear, at least someone still being scared in a horror game
-
@Mister_Holdout said:
Ummmm.Hag is not OP. She just requires a bit of cleverness to combat.
Cleverness is the survivors enemy

There are not enough perk slots if you ask me. Too many perks have become mandatory

Almost every other competetive game does it, for example any players higher than rank 10, that didn't play in 5 days will lose 1 pip everyday until a match is played which resets the timer, Rank Resets happens so often, so either Rank Decay or Longer Seasons.DBD isnt like other competitive games.
- Rank has no meaning
- You can DC anytime without punishment
- game balanced aroudn solo, but SWF possible
- no real balance
But yeah do it, I dont wanna rank up anyway

Ok seriously what is up with being spam blocked like this when I report someone for spam and then try and post something I get spam blocked for 180 seconds? All because I posted 2 times within 60 seconds with 1 of those being a spam report and the spam poster is at it again.Yes its horrible.
Another example for a lazy implementation, but honestly, look at the game itself and tell me that you are surprised
-
By reaching P3 you can already combinate all variants of the bloody skin as you want.
Or do you actually mean items as toolboxes flashlights etc? -
My bet is on a loopable trash killer

-
Just accept that the survivors represent 80% of the community, they effectrively prevented the hatch closing mechanic, so you just have to deal with their free win now.
Why waste time, just hit them at the hatch and teach the next survivor team a lesson by making them have a horrible time
-
This is a horror game, I believe survivor should play 1st person too
