Ha, if.
if they could detect a 3rd party app that affects gameplay, it makes no sense that it wouldnt be blacklisted like all other hacks aka 3rd party apps that affect gameplay. so the logical explanation is that they know they cant detect it, and thus ignore it.
It's detectable. The issue isn't detection. The whole reason why it was originally whitelisted was because it added features that people wanted, and it wasn't too intrusive. At some point more features were added that got into shady territory (stuff developers wouldn't want to actively support), so it was removed from the whitelist. It's still not cheating, it's just not something that would get a seal of approval.
But it is some soert of cheating - the game is ment for survivors to not know who the killer is, but MLGA can detect if the killer is on your "blacklist", and then you can dodge him.

The fact that devs put it in their whitelist in the beginning shows clearly that they consider it to be in that cheating category, but they said its ok.
Now by removing it from the whitelist, it is 100% clear that using it is a bannable offense. The only question left is whether they can detect it and bann you for it or whether it will be your secret

Both killer dodging and survivor quick switch should be stopped. What I think would work is for killers once they enter a lobby they can't leave. When survivors enter they can't leave either and they are stuck with whatever build they have. The killer doesn't get a build lock as it lets them prepare for what the survivors are bringing in. 4 flashlights? Lightborn, toolboxes? Two anti gen perks. DoneThen we would need to have a ping filter though
Also a SWF filter would be necessary or killer will DC ingame as much as survivor currently do and I am not sure whether you want that -

The problem is that you cant depip if you are below rank 15.
Of course an immediate implication is that anyone who plays the game will be rank 15+ and the ones in the lowest ranks will have noone to play with. I really dont know how devs couldnt see the problem coming, but then I look at the game and see several similar examplesMy suggestion is that you give your best to double pip every game to get out of cancer ranks ASAP. You will have to wait ages for games though, better prepare for that and watch a stream while searching or sth like that^^

The hatch was created to reward survivors failure, your suggestion would contradict this design decision

If I create a lobby as a killer, it takes me over an hour to get survivors.
Anyone know what's up?
What rank are you?
I haven't played in 2 seasons; so I've been reset to Rank 18.
Devs have changed how matchmaking works. You cant depip anymore if you are below rank 15, this means that every player who sometimes plays the game will always stay rank15+, which makes the queue time on the extremely low ranks horrible.
It was an idea to protect beginners from bullying, but obviously devs didnt think that idea through.
Beginners have to face insane queue times now and basically theyy removed 5 ranks which is quite bad for the ranking system of the other players too.My advice is that you tryhard as much as you can, use best addons etc such that you can get a double pip to get out of these cancer ranks ASAP
Oof. That is absolutely awful. Good on paper, but... ugh.

By the TOS, not being on a whitelist means that usage of such a 3rd party programm is bannable.
As a mod you should know that (or did they change the TOS and I am wrong now?) -

Excuse me?
EAC is the cheat engine of the game, it literally tells the devs who to bann etc. -

It is definitely against the rules, even if they cant detect it. In that case you violate the rules, but you cant be punished because the devs dont know. That detection thing is a different story, but usage of MLGA is definitely a bannable offense

Though i like the trapper buffs, in my opinion he was also nerfed massively by the change to his traps hit boxes. Playing him and against him i've come to realise that now you can go round traps at pallets and sometimes survivors can vault windows, land on the traps, but not be affected. Though he still works against newer survivors who haven't yet realised you can get past trapped pallets, in my opinion hes been nerfed for when he's playing against better survivors. 3 times in my most recent game survivors ran round my traps while i was chasing them and it was game changing. I got 0 kills as what would have been 3 hooks for me were none, all i did was waste time setting up useless traps. Is this problem going to be addressed or was this intended, in which case it was a ridiculous idea? Don't get me wrong, i'm happy they gave some love to trappy-boi but his addons weren't the problem, his base power was, and they seem to have made that worse.I stopped playing trapper after it happened twice in a single day that a survivor ran past my trap, but when I take the same pathing, I get stuck in my own trap. It kills trapper for me, which is quite sad because he was my favourite killer when I started playing dbd

Sorry, but it’s true. Killers who camp, which now seems to be all of them, are ruining this game. When it became free on ps4, every killer camps and it’s just not worth it to play anymore. I haven’t played one match this week where the killers didn’t go more than a few steps away from the hook. I said this in another post and I’ll say it here again, if you don’t stop camping people will stop playing as survivors. No survivors, no matches. Less people playing the game means the developers have no reason to continue to support it. I know I’m gonna get the same comments as other posts,” just don’t get caught” or “camping is part of the game”. I’m sure these are people who never play as a survivor. I’m not sure what the solution is but maybe create a game mode where a lobby is 5 people and the killer is chosen at random, and random perks.True lets bann all killers so that we, the survivors, can enjoy the game again.
Sign me up on that list

From a player with 2.500 hrs at playing Dead by Daylight, I'm both Rank 1 Killer & Survivor:
I heard from a recent live stream that the "hit for hit" mechanic will be removed and changed in a sort of new pallet vacuum. The "hit for hit" is referred as the ability of the killers to punish a stupid survivor by hitting him through a pallet when he just mess the correct dropping timing. You can't remove this since the "hit for hit" is actually the only chance for every "walking" killer (Wraith, Hillbilly, Myers, Freddy, Pig and Trapper) to end up a chase in massive loop areas against inexperienced survivors. I don't think that a noob deserves free extra-loops against a good killer. Please devs, don't apply this change to the pallet. The current state of the pallets is fine - just git gud at don't mess the timing. Bloodlust nerf is OK, no one good killer rely on bloodlust to catch the survivors. If you really have 2500 hours playing both sides, have can you believe that the current state is fine? Honest question here

I bet you will be one of those that complains about queue time because they cant find a game anymore
I have no idea about the queue times right now because my laptop has been fixed several times since July the 1st and i'm unable to play, but yeah, it would be annoying to wait for 30 minutes. I remember to go through that a few months ago.
With the current plans for the next patch, their will be a big hype for the new killer in the first week (maybe two), afterwards killers will either switch to survivor or play another game.
Now with that new program, if it really dooes what it promises and assuming that it will become popular, high queue times might come true again. And do you know what's the name of said program? Or where can I check it out?

Idea isn't mine, but i saw it in Elder Scrolls Online forums long ago and thought it could work here (yes, that game has issues with balancing pve and pvp)
Anyway, if game detects there's a 4 SWF group Killers would get a minor buff in every perk and/or speed. I'm not gonna think about the details right now and obviously every buffed perk would need to be customized, but i think this might be a solution for everyone.Has been suggested several times, multiple variations including some very well thought through ideas. Sadly the devs ignore everything, and when I look at the last thing the community created (DS)..... well
An idea I really like was for example that in a SWF, every perk can only be used once. Its a really interesting idea, adds more variety to the game, forces survivors to actually think about their loadout and will reduce the classic 4x DS teams a lot.
The problem with buffing killer is that for example in a 3 man sWF the solo survivor would be affected too and thats somehow unfair. The best solution is to affect the SWF directly e.g. by restricting their perks. (remove perk slots or unique perks only etc)

Orrr..maybe you can get better at being a killer and catch them before they pallet loop your butt?
Now I'm going to stay as objective as possible here, but how do you suppose the average killer (not hillbilly or something with instant downs) catch somebody before they can get to a pallet? Even if you get a surprise attack on someone, with the speed boost they get from being hit, they'll have enough time to get to a pallet and they'll require a second hit to down them.
If you could just decide to kill someone before they can even get to a pallet, that sounds like a miserable time and I wouldn't be interested in playing that side.
Back on topic though, I believe that's the intent, sorta'. Not pallet looping specifically, because pallet looping already hard counters bloodlust (breaking one pallet resets it). But eventually get rid of the longer loops where it may be necessary and then get rid of bloodlust.
I'd like it, frankly. It's not the most solid mechanic in its current state. If you ever actually need BL3 to catch someone, we're talking about 45 seconds of wasting your time running around just for one hit. More often than not when I see it come into play, it's because someone's outsmarting the killer and running tiles the right way (and the killer isn't forcing them to switch directions and run it the slower way), or using LOS blockers to mindgame and switch directions. When it goes off in those situations, it just feels like a participation award, like the game is giving them a free hit because they couldn't catch them otherwise.
Personally I'd love to see something that actually punishes running around pallets over and over, rather than something that punishes you for not using pallets.
Now I am curious.
Do you have any insight knowledge that they will actually rework the maps?
Because the devs actions lately show no intent doing so.At the moment it looks more like looping will become even easier with improved pallet droping while BL is nerfed heavily at the same time. They didnt even mention anything about reworking maps in the Q&A, did they just forgot about it and its an actual part of the patch?
And I still believe that a competent survivor can easily loop you for more than 45 sec (assuming you play a loopable killer)
-
@HP_Refill said:
Pallet looping is no longer an exploit. Devs are constantly working around it.Yeah lets call it acceptable exploit that turned somehow into a feature and now is considered core game mechanic by most survivors
For me, someone who prefered the gameplay before looping, its just sad what this game has turned into

So, you need an app because you just can't click the 'leave' button? That's sad, also, i've seen how killers try to get rid of SWF, sadly for you, it ain't gonna happen, but keep tryin'
The program allows you to dodge SWf reliable. At the moment it can happen that multiple solo survivors join at the same time and you dodge them because you suspect SWF.
if the killer wants to dodge every SWF, then he is very well capable of doing so without any program already -

Didn't you mean to type "When survivors can't get better and they have to get carried by having additional 10 perks per person while playing in a group, LUL git gud."?
It is quite common to mistype that. SWF teams are completely beatable - and any killer who can't or simply down right refuses to vs anything that looks remotely like SWF is a poor killer and they should practice more. you only play swf because you are bad at solo, aka the games balanced mode. according to the devs, the game was not balanced for swf. you need to practice more. You know MP games are meant to be played with friends, right?
Sure, usually are in equal numbers, but this game was designed to be a 1v4 for obvious reasons.
Also, what do you want me to do? I play both solo and swf, and when i do swf is usually with 1 more friend, 4 is quite uncommon. But if i see a friend online i'm not gonna reject their invitation because you feel offended, just grow up.
Game was never designed to be played with your friends.
SWF was only introduced because survivors lobby dodged until they got into the same lobby as their friends.
Well, admit is a bit weird to not be able to play with friends while being in the same team. Pretty sure the company got more money by changing this feature
Sure they earned a lot more money with SWF.
Doesnt change the fact that the game was never desigend for survivors using voicecomms and it clearly breaks certain parts of the game and can completely negate certain strategys: I guess we agree in this point -

I would really like to read up what EAC scans for, can you please provide some material.
EAC websites states all you need to know, to put it simply EAC should only scan the DBD folder and the DBD files running within the ram, it in essence detects anything that tries to interact and modify those without permission, to scan for the likes of MLGA it would need to scan all the programs running on your PC to find the specific apps code meaning it could detect all the apps running on your PC, this breaches privacy rules in lots of countries as personal data on what you are running is not allowed to be accessed unless you give permission.
MLGA does not interact with the game what so ever all it does is check the IP address you are attached too which you can see by opening up windows task manager, in essence MLGA is just a quick way of alt tabbing out the game, finding the IP your attached too and store it in a notepad file, each time you join a lobby you could have that notepad file open and Ctrl F to search for it then dodge, its just an instant way of doing it with MLGA.
Am I blind? I cant find anything regarding the scanning process on their homepage, can you please provide a link

Well ofc griefing, i.e. playing together with the killer is bannable and they are actually able to hand out a few banns. Correct me if wrong, but wasnt angrypug banned because of this? Ofc he livestreams everything and proof is uploaded on his channel, so devs can hardly ignore those reports.

Sorry as i said before i am new so thanks for the clarification ... i am not aware of the game specific memes yet.. it isn't easy to translate sarcasm in text unless the other party is in on the joke
.... though i do see a lot of people saying this type of thing a LOT online and for longer than just a few months and yet nothing... i feel like they come out with new killers to address certain community complaints for instance the pig can slow the game down to allow for more time to win but those types of fixes require you to play that character and still leaves the others in the dust... and things like the Freddy not being viable for how long now? perhaps they checked out for the new game they are promoting? IDK im kinda late to the game i suppose but after being out for years you would think a simple concept like this would be extremely polished. The pig is one of the worse killers because she has no tools that help her in chase. Sure, once she gets a survivor she can slow down the game a bit.
You can determine how good a killer is by looking at how fast he can end chases and how much map control he has. Thats why nurse is without doubt the best killer.New DLC killers have always been trash, they are just there to generate incomee and keep the game fresh, but they are always loopable which turns them into trash killers compared to nurse.
also you have to understand that for every killer there are 4 survivors, if they buff killers too hard and remove the OPness from survivor, then we would have insane queue times for killer.
As killer I recommend regular deranking, just start a few games while watchin a movie etc. This way you can still somehow enjoy the game and only occasionally face SWF who queue with low ranks to bully low rank killers.

The time before you realize how broken the game is is the actual fun-phase -

In this situation what can the killer do? i feel like the survivors are a bit OP when one person can do all these things to hold off a killer... and if that one person is caught, they can be rescued and it can all happen again.... or 3 more people can do the same stuff... it allows for soooo much time for the rest to get generators, and saying something like the killer could just go look for other survivors to kill then the one he left behind can just work a generator...You have to ignore such guys, you cannot win against competent survivors. Find the weak survivor and tunnel this guy. If there is no weak spot in the team, then you better DC to keep your sanity.
The game wasnt designed around optimal play, it is a game designed for casual play at rank 20.

From the outside perspective it just is an instant lobby dodge if a SWF joins. Killers can already do that at the moment. For hacking you can provide video proof but I dare to say that DBD players cannot proof useage of such a programm. That would be sth that has to be detected by EAC, but as MLGA, it will not manage to detect stuff like this.twistedmonkey said:@Master said:

If any SWF White Knights come to this thread and start mocking killers for having no friends and making claims that Survivors just want to play with their friends, I'm equiping Bond, making friends with the Killer, and leading them to the other Survivors.
Isn't playing with friends great?
And you can enjoy a spicy softban for your efforts.
Seriously, wouldn't recommend you do it, you would be banned for it.
Even though it is definitely a bann able offense we both know that you won't get banned for it, basically exactly the same as mlga
All someone needs to do is record you doing that in game and send it to the devs, while its a slow process they do still ban now and again, I know this as I reported someone for hacking, 8 days later they were banned.
They cannot detect MLGA so there is a difference, you really should read up on what they are allowed to do within the anticheat system and what they can scan for and then you will see why it can never be detected.
I would really like to read up what EAC scans for, can you please provide some material. -
Actually DBD was designed for soloplay. And multiplayer means that several players play in one game, that doesnt mean that you are able to play with friends via voice comms and DBD was never designed for that.Vietfox said:
You know MP games are meant to be played with friends, right?Lowbei said:
you only play swf because you are bad at solo, aka the games balanced mode.SenzuDuck said:@PureHostility said:

When killers can't get better and they have to use and app to dodge lobbies instead of one button, LUL.git gud.
Didn't you mean to type
"When survivors can't get better and they have to get carried by having additional 10 perks per person while playing in a group, LUL
git gud."?
It is quite common to mistype that.
SWF teams are completely beatable - and any killer who can't or simply down right refuses to vs anything that looks remotely like SWF is a poor killer and they should practice more.
according to the devs, the game was not balanced for swf.
you need to practice more.
You have to camp the totem and hope that survivors get greedy enough . Then you get enough stacks such that they can't hit skill checks anymoreKing_Checkmate said:I have noticed, past rank 15 these are pretty much useless. Its amazing i havent been able to complete a single match without someone destroying the correct hex totem before my Huntress Lullaby enters in full effect. It applies to other hexes too such as no one escapes death.
Using a perk that notifies you when one is tempered with is a useless way to occupy a perk slot, specially if it happens far away, since totems are cleansed insanely fast.Killers have these "powerful" yet easily countered perks while survivors have stuff like Kindred and adrenaline, that not only are a lot more powerful but can't be countered. Something is off.
Yes it's sad but you have to hope that survivors play bad -

There doesn't exist anything like a blacklistLowbei said:It detects and auto closes the lobby if any SWF joins.
If they arent going to blacklist MLGA, then they cant blacklist this either.
If they have a problem with this one, then I guess refusing to blacklist a known 3rd party app that affects gameplay like MLGA was a bad call.
The use of any program not on the whitelist is bann able and thus mlga and this new program fall both into that category -

When the new chapter come out don't play any killer for 1-2 weeks. I know is to much but this is the only way devs will hear us and start giving buff to the killers too. The reazon is if the 70% of killer stop playing so the 70% of surrs can't play the game.THE KILLERS JUST GOT BIG BUFFS i cant flashlight save anymore unless the killer is smart and puts his head into a wall or scares me away by hitting me. and also if your STILL complaining about survivors body blocking it is something THEY PUT INTO THE GAME ON PURPOSE have you heard of Were Gonna Live Forever it gives us points if we get hit by the killer when he is carrying a survivor.
killers got big buffs it says...

No, they just decided to make commenting harder for everyone because there was some asian spaming.

Hello all! Downloaded DBD as soon as it became available for free on psn and have been loving my experience so far.I am at level 12 with killers and 14 with survivors. And I LOVE playing as the Pig and old happy sack himself Michael Myers!
The unique traits and powers of each killer makes playing as all of them very fun and I appreciate the learning curve some of them have in order to let you truly master them. However recently my experience of the game has soured ever so slightly and I'm hoping that some of you killer experts will be able to help me out.
So, in short....why is it that the very experienced (seemingly at least) survivors are able to quite literally run circles around killers? Endless pallet hopping, shining a torch in your face when stuck in animations (seriously, how can that even be a thing) and I'm guessing mics are permitted when playing with friends? As sometimes it seems as if the survivors have a GPS tracker stuck to the killers ass. Don't get me wrong, I can see there is plenty of room for me to git gud.... but I'm concerned that if I'm coming across survivors like this now, later I may be made a mockery out of . Is there a legitimate counter to the torch? Or pallet looping that isn't 'play as nurse'? I try to go and focus on other survivors but if you come across two leapy flashlight pr***s I really struggle...
It's essentially seems like with each level up I do, playing survivors becomes much easier, whereas playing as the killer seems more difficult.
Or maybe I'm just terrible?
Either way, it's off my chest now lol
I am sorry for you that you realized the games real nature after such a short time. That beginners /noob time is when the game is the most enjoyable.

@Master said:The most efficient way to play Killer is by tunneling survivors, the earlier you remove one survivor from the game he better.
This is true, In all my games this works very well.
Yes of course, its common sense.
Survivors cry about it all the time, but they are never able to deliver another strategy thats as efficient as tunneling -

Playing doctor is toxic.I have had killers camp me because they had a hard time catching me, while camping me they would continously hit me. I see that as toxic, but if I am in a swf I don't care, I just tell my buddies to rush generators and guide them towards each other so they can do it faster. ^^
Face camping is toxic. Tunneling someone down with 5 gens left to be done is toxic.
After game chat is usually also toxic if the killer completely loses. (Blaming their loss on every perk, every item they can.)
If tunneling a survivor is toxic, is tunneling gens toxic too? Just curious
You are comparing apples to potatoes right now.
How is it different?
Both sides can decide to complete their objective as efficiently as possible and work first on the same objective to complete it and then switch it.Or did I miss sth? Did I misinterpret the definition of tunneling? Please enlight me
Both sides objectives are different and can be obtained differently. You can't compare the two, it is literally like comparing apples to potatoes.
They are really similar
The most efficient way to play killer is by tunneling survivors, the earlier you remove one survivor from the game, the better.
The most efficient way to play surivivor is by tunneling gens, the earlier you knock out your gen, the better, its saved and cant be taken away by the killer anymoreTunneling is annoying for both sides of the equation.
You just gonna say apple and potatoes or will yuo bring any arguments too?

Of course. You just see more of it from survivors.
Yeah because maths: 4 survivors per killer
You see way more toxic survivors, even if you take that 1:4 thing into account
