Killer is most fun (for me) if he has one objective: kill survivorsI don't see the point in repairing hooks. It could be added but I don't believe anyone would do it.
Tbh i just imagine it being a "activate hook" to fix it, no real time taken. i mean you can literally get rid of his power by saboing every trap in the map, he needs a lil help i think

its confirmed theres more then just 3 outfits guys, i can't remember who else is getting outfits but i know wraith was confirmed. do hope you realise that this was just the stuff dug up from ptb digging

6.This is not fortniteWell, people do copy ideas all the time so saying "this is not X" isn't enough without an explanation.
Anyway, back to OP. I agree with the first point; the rest of them I'm rather impartial with. A daily login of some sort is always a nice thing. It encourages player to keep up to date with the game even when they don't feel like playing.
Exactly, plus with more people playing it would equal faster lobbies

About your 6th point:
Would be nice to have some kind of graffiti you can spray on the ground and walls to tag. Maybe having a system like darksouls, so you can see the tags of other players from a complete different match at the same timeThis would be so cool.... even if they would be used just for random fun its something that survivors could do...
This is actually a really cool idea, maybe another way of sending a message to people like emotes?> @Fenrir said:

2.devs wont do that because we already asked for some reward for being rank 1 and they have done Curseword for 2 years - It would encourage people to not play the game to derank easily
4.this aint overwatch and that system does nothing
5.there animation is more worse than garrys modders
6.This is not fortnite
Way to be positve man, this may not be an mmo, and the devs might not have implemented those features yet, but still wanted to put this post out there. why? because the devs are open to ideas and feedback and i wish to provide it

About your 4th point:
You need to motivate players to even rate someone in the first place. I personally never used that, just at the beginning to see what happens.
And let's be honest man, people are already reporting you for tunneling, looping and stuff like that. You will always get a bad rate of your opinion if you did well
Thats why i said like overwatches endorsment system. that system encourages upvoting positive behaviour through small exp bonuses
I'm not that familiar with OW, but wouldn't this end up that everyone just votes positive no matter what?
from my experience with OW thats how the system was at the beggining, but then it turned into upvoting the people that mattered due to how small the bonus really was. In ow, there are 3 different kind of endorsments you can give, - positive play, shot calling, and being a kind person, after a while these pettered out and people only really give positive play to pretty much everyone whose non toxic. ie the equivalent in dbd would be i guess a guy giving you a purple flashlight out of kindness so you upvote him sort of thing idk. i think a system like that would work with tweaking in dbd

I'd like to see the Daily Rituals get a bit of a buff too. Besides that though I absolutely agree on rank rewards. The ranking system doesn't serve much purpose as is outside of bragging rights. Even in matchmaking it's pretty busted. Least they could do is give you incentive to rank up. As it stands it's better to derankYeah pretty much, thats why for the long term health of the game i'd like to see this stuff happen
-
Tbh i'd say huntress is top tier with addons and perks, sometimes even above a competent nurse on an open map.
Clown can be situationally top tier, best at anti looping thats for sure
doctor is the best anti stealth in the game, expecially with iron maiden in the game now. only way to combat him is calm spirit. he's not as good at loops, but the shock can be super bloody effective. -
1mil bp for rank 1 seems fair
i more like the idea of an "icon" or cosmetic, even if its just a recolor for staying at rank 1 for a season or extended period of time
hell for example have everyones default cosmetic gain a different blood color, or effect on it. something basic, but encourages people to get and attain those ranks for the season -

This update to leader, is correct; as every other process (minus vaulting, of course) namely, progress bars that are not associated with generators, have a 30% increase. Self-Care May be affected my this process (I’m unsure as I have yet to play on the PTB,) but the devs said they’d likely add a pool perk to increase the speed. The leader functions as usual (meaning, that it can be given to survivors near you). However, please do remember, that these changes are on the public TEST build, meaning they can be changed at anytime. Depending upon the feedback of these changes (in this case it is likely to change), it makes Prove Thyself much more usable.25%* increase
while prove thyself might be more usable, i believe they've nerfed "potential gen speed" a bit much here
considering with leader and prove thyself on a gen i believe you could get to faster speeds then you can now
I do like the fact that its easier to hit the max threshold and get the most use out of prove thyself but still -
True, but with wakeup you signal it opening so eh? .-?Milo said:

I will still run it for sure.eh for exit gates, wake up will always be better but i guess i see your point with the totems
I mean you cant open the door but they do open it 10% faster -

Am I the only one who thinks that leader was a very meaningless perk?Thanatophobia is the perk that turns bars red, and leader is the perk that turns them yellow. I never understood why people use that perk in the first place.
Maybe they feel more comfortable with yellow action bars. Same with Thanatophobia, survivors get nervous when they see a red bar even though it has next to no impact...
I mean. Yeah when you see something good you will feel better when this thing stays that way.
Same goes for opposite.
So Thana doesn't do much % wise but works on the mind of the survivors! (on those who work on gens)I'd say thanataphobia is useless on anyone whose played the game for more then 5 hrs tbh. your just gonna continue doing the gen anyways

Yeah but by not as muchDwight_Fairfield said:@PinkEricka said:
LOL. This is so ironic. Everyone’s gonna be using Prove Thyself now, a perk that no one uses!I guess it’s a good change to slow down the gen rushing.
Not really. Prove Thyself boosts gen repair now.
I mean I used to use leader n prove thyself to get Max Gen speed (with resilience) but now that combo is kinda out the window with decreased output.
And tbh botany knowledge/we'll make it are already such commonly run perks, a 25% boost just feels negilible in comparisonModernFable said:

Opening an Exit Gate faster can make or break an escape.
Plus a quicker Unhook will change whether or not you can Borrowed Time save in front of a camper.
The other actions are also useful, although more niche. -

I just wish you would get a different audio cue when someone is cleansing a totem. Right now it sounds just like every other explosion which really hurts killers with this perk.True actually
and it is a net buff.. because it adds to the xp one can gain from using it? -
Tbh i think a solid buff to myers would be..
Buff the speed at which he stalks MULTIPLE survivors (ie multiple people in his view)
give him a very small buff to successful attack recovery speed when in a chase with multiple people (in tier 3)
This would allow him to quickly down multiple people if they are trying to screw around with him -
i think so haha
-
Why not also give a 2s aura reading to wglf, make it so we can see the killer cross map (only for the unhooked survivor) so they can have a better chance to avoid being tunneled. this way it benefits both survivors
-
i wish haha, double loot!

Can they do it without breaking some core features though?Considering the corn is a world model with no collision atm, and all i can see them doing (as an example) is blackening, shortening the model and maybe animate it falling over, i don't think that would bug anything out as the corn isin't "attached to anything" its just something that spawns. it would just be a matter of "when player reaches x amount of survivors dead, have corn play this animation"
-
@ModernFable said:
I don’t think Behavior is competent enough for something like that. However, just lowering the height of the corn would suffice.
And i think behaviour is actually competent enough haha, we have already seen dynamic gen related map effects with them opening doors, so this would be a dynamic map effect on the killers end. the more you kill the more the corn withers and dies.
-
@Warlock_2020 said:
Why? It is already hard enough to play the stealth game for most survivors. You want to take away natural cover now as well? Seriously, I'm color blind and have a rediculously hard time tracking in the corn, but I would never want to remove it. That is why I randomly trap the corn with Trapper. I have to hunt like a T-Rex because I don't see the scratch marks. I look for movement. Corn is easy to see movement in if you pay attention.I don't get the constant want to take away from the survivors by killers in this game. Yes, I know toxic SWFs can wreck a match, but most games are not that way. It is not hard to 3k a match. As much complaining as I hear on these boards, I'm won't be surprised when killers want half the survivors to start on hooks, while getting the bp for those hooked survivors. Bleh
Mate i play both killer and survivor pretty heavily to know that the corn is and can be hugely detrimental to the killers playing in it. we already know the corn field maps are the ones with the highest survivor survival rates, so i was simply suggesting something that might make it easier for killers to find people on the map. hell it doesn't even touch loops, which some would say are the main problem on the map it just changes the level of visibility so that survivors are easier to find, therefore decreasing the time taken to find the last survivors.
-
@PigNRun said:
Well, Speed Limiter for Hillbilly and Leatherface and Padded Jaws for Trapper. Maybe Wraith's The Ghost -Soot add-on, but this last one can actually help you sometimes. :P
1. They hinder you, making the game harder.
2. They take up a slot (add-on slot).
3. May change the way you play.Definitely the No Mither of Killers.
Very true
but sadly theres only those addons, that leaves a majority of killers without "hard addons"
i guess you could count myers with the tier 1/2 mirrors, or tombstone/fragrant in some cases but still haha
wouldn't mind seeing difficulty addons for all killers though! -
@Salty_Pearl said:
I'm hoping that at some point, we would get a map that would have air vents that survivors can crawl through. Obviously, the Killer would be able to grab them if caught.Exactly! something like airvents, or even on the game map add vents

So Legion or Freddy. Legion has to stab 4 times with his power to down (if you're playing that way) and Freddy takes 7 seconds actually be able to hit. I'd consider them the No Mither of the killersYes i realise those are difficult killers atm, but im not talking about that? besides freddys getting a rework plus legions likely getting some tweaks?
-
Make it a unidirectional space haha, make the survivor only able to go through it one sided, but the killer can't follow. perhaps the killer could destroy or shift the route to the other side if they wished? with the survivor being able to patch the route, or restore it in some way
-

i did say, you'd be able to reach them as killer from both sides. think of it as a vault space, but you can only crouch under it, pick them up from either side so they can't just sit in the middle of itSo you cant turn directions while crouching? Otherwise the killer wil never be able to get you.
Then you are describing the mechanic of vaulting a pallet with the difference that the killer cant break the pallet. I dont think I need to explain why this is absolutely broken, do I?
No im describing the conditions of a vault space. only in crouch form. ie... you crouch under it, instead of vaulting over it...

It does not affect the vault of the legion. Bamboozle only blocks the window after the jump (this is a huge advantage when survivors want to jump back)It does not actually affect the vault speed.,
Yes it does. it speeds it up by 15% at max level
and to answer your question i believe it doesn't, tru3 talent tested it and i believe he said it doesn't work -
Boosting this topic, if this isn't allowed disregard this i guess
-
It would be amazing if these kinds of tweaks were allowed (hell imagine if they allowed you to upload reskins of the pics or even music to dbd on ps4 through a flashdrive)
@not_Queen please tell me this is allowed on pc
-
Thats actually a fair point, and i agree with it. I play lots of survivor and killer so i'd honestly like it if they changed it to be this way
-
lol
-
Distortion may be an S ranked perk, but i shouldn't be found with it in use. maybe have it use any tokens you have remaining on people in your contact?
-
i actually really like this idea, but 10% for every gen being worked on sounds like a bit much, since you have high potential to get 30% out of it (along with the bonus regression from setting every gen not worked on into regression mode) which is larger then pop goes the weasel. 5% sounds good to me with maybe an extra 5% for first hook of a player?

I disagree on bond with the "survival rate really skyrockets part" if anything its just a slightly less useful empathy, my proposed perk change would bring it into its own and make it different to empathy which its almost a carbon copy of.

I still think that even though it would break immersion slightly we should still be given the choice to be able too. or better yet add other forms of displaying emotion, like a finger cross throat kind of thing etc

Smashing a button like an idiot.... I really dont know who designed this and thought "great work lets stick with that"You can always start a petition. shrugs shoulders
It was just a thought.
Ofc it will never come reality because survivors prefer their easy way hammering space bar / activating a macro instead of hiting skillchecks
Umm.. im a survivor and i'd prefer to keep engaged, and i don't use a macro. don't presume to speak for others mate
-
im actually in agreement here. the struggle mechanic (personally for me) feels like it would be much better with skillchecks rather then random mashing, personally when im on second hook i just mash with my left hand and go on my phone, its a boring part of the game for me and takes me out of the action. i'd rather it be easy but necessary skill checks where i actually have to focus on surviving
-
I really would too. I think it would help battle toxicity by allowing people to be friendly. I mean i do understand its killers vs survivors but we should be able to still treat others with kindness. After all it is just a game
-
I've used it on nurse before, can be pretty effective at messing up survivors if you stand still before you tp, i've also used it on micheal to effectively stalk at a distance without getting caught, as well as on doctor to completely ######### with my terror radius and scare the ######### out of people. I've also used it as tier 3 micheal around a corner behind a gen to suprise survivors. Its suprisingly effective if you put a little thought into it beyond "oh its for camping"
-
its to stop hackers, by having a hard limit to bloodpoints (since there handled lan side) when people hack them in they can only hack in a limited amount... though i mean then they just spend them and reget the bloodpoints so its a useless method but like hey thought that counts i guess
-
Tbh don't get why its such a bad idea, specially if it makes you easier to be chased (exhaustion debuff) and notifys the killer if your nearby... i mean if it can only be used every 30s while outside of a chase, and makes it so you will be chased then i think its pretty risk reward
