    @Maelstrom10 you missed my point.

People are against common sense suggestions just because it benefits the other side.

These two quotes are literally true. Survivors have an 'advantage' and it is going to create problems. It might seem like a minor inconvenience to you but it is a huge ass problem for some people. I am not saying that it is a problem for me, I think that survivors already earn less bp than killers, it wouldn't kill the game but then again some people will hate it.

Again, I love your idea but don't expect everybody to be happy about it. That's what these 2 gentlemen were saying.

    • toxicfengm1n was joking apparently.
    • and how is a system that both benefits killer and survivor, something that would be a "problem for killers?" i mean you'd have the same rate of return? if both can turn in addons/offerings they don't want then why would killers apparently be up in arms? everyone i know, killer main, or survivor wants and wishes for the grind to be lessened. this would help with both sides so i don't see your point. this isn't just a pro survivor change

The only reason killers can see names is that there in a role of power. Even then you shouldn't really see names till the games start tbh

Which is exactly what happens now if you mirror the problem:

Don't like the Survivors main? Dodge. Don't like losing to a certain player? Dodge.

Killers shouldn't see Survivors names, Survivors shouldn't see Killers names. Neither have any reason to know this other than to dodge matches.

Thats what im saying? im countering the original point that survivors should be able to dodge killers, because imo nobody should be able to dodge. sure let us have ping restrictions so we get good matches at the expense of longer lobbies but we shouldn't be able to dodge

The difference is that when survivors were dodging, queues were impossibly long for both sides. Right now, queues are long for survivors because there aren't many people playing killer.

Queues for me are long iregardless (rank 1 survivor and rank 4 killer atm. plus the event going on and me being in nz, Queue times are always abysmal). people shouldn't dodge lobbies. though being paired with anything higher then a set ping should be an option. however you shouldn't really be able to dodge

We all need bp man. no ones gonna be complaining there getting extra. Literally no one is going to complain about getting extra bp

    Oh boy are you wrong.

Believe me people will ######### about it, I can assure you.

To put in perspective, you know WGLF right? This perk is supposed to be a perk that forces you to perform alturistic actions etc. People suggested that survivors should get tokens when they heal their teammates and pick them up when they are on the ground. People complained about it. This doesn't change the balance or anything btw. It just improves the gameplay.

You know that killers can't get their tokens if survivors disconnect before killers hook them right? People suggested that killers should get a token if somebody disconnects and people complained about it. This doesn't change the balance or anything btw. It just improves the gameplay.

Users in this forum don't give a fck about balance or fun of the game, they just hate the other side and try to oppose anything that might potentially please them. Are you new to the forums or something?

No im not new. my point was that no one would complain about getting equal opportunity for bloodpoints. yes i realise there are problems with WGLF and BBQ/C but those are perks. this would be an inbuilt system allowing us to get rid of things we don't use on both survivor and killer. BOTH SIDES BENEFIT. let me repeat both sides benefit from this change. there is no advantage one side has over the other, unless you count "farming items" on survivor, in order to then delete them, which sure could be seen as such to some degree i guess? but the best way to do that would be to run plunderers and ace in the hole which would result in useful items anyways...?

  • What if you could combine stuff you don't use into recipes that have a chance to give you better stuff? Sort of like the Grinder from Borderlands. You put in something like 10 items and it gives you a random item of a higher rarity. Only stipulation I would say is that all the items put in and the item that comes out are of the same type. So offerings to get offerings, items to get items, add-ons to get add-ons.

Killers could throw in all those useless purple myst/splinters and get some moris. Survivors could throw in all those broken keys and maybe get a purple flashlight. Stuff like that. Keeps the economy where it is but let's you make use of the useless stuff. And since there is no guarantee you get the item you want then it's balanced. Oh and also let's us get rid of all those useless event offerings when the event is over (I would treat them as yellow rarity)

Wouldn't mind a system like this either tbh 🤔
  • if your talking about the red shirt with the hand i believe thats left 4 dead item? exclusive to pc i believe

  • @George_Soros said:
Not gonna happen. As much as we hate it, the grind is a needed mechaninc to chain people to the game. It's necessary: we all want the shortest possible waiting times in lobby.

Not that I wouldn't love it. It would land me some 10M BP :) All those Smelly Inner Soles and Chainsaw Files...

Then let us at p3 do it atleast. we've done and commited to the grind.

  • Delfador said:

Yeah many times this has been proposed but it seems to me that the devs don't want to go with this. It seems to be a good idea though.

I think the devs are just apprehensive about anything that could possibly make the grind easier. And don't want to spring on any immediate decisions. That being said I do think it would be a great decision. It would also allow them to gain data for what's not being used, in order to possibly rework content in order for people to use it ie, people getting rid of broken keys as an example or getting rid of basic flashlight/medkit addons
  • Yes, please. So much crap in my inventory and bloodwebs.
    Same tbh

In what build would you use it?

Paired with BBQ, Amanda’s letter, All seeing wraith, etc. it’d Be more directed towards add-ons than anything

Pretty much yeah. Amanda's letter/All seeing addon would become very useful essentially having doubled range. however nurses calling would essentially have 40 metres range with all survivors alive, being larger then most terror radius's in the game, and 34 with one left (being only slightly larger then most terror radius's, so you'd still have warning against something with a regular terror radius) it would require two perk slots which i think is fair but it would become a very strong combo.
Deerstalkers, while it wouldn't gain much benefit should be affected by the perk too, as well as things such as bitter murmur, possibly bbq (reducing the null distance) and other perks

  • @Boss said:
Would that increase the range at which you CAN'T see Survivor auras on Barbecue & Chili?

Possibly the opposite, though no way for me to tell obviously

    Burger King Myers

    Hell yea

  • I got two in mind, though i think it would work with a lot more
mirror myers would benefit by being able to keep track of survivors over a longer distance
and smaller terror radius killers (ie hag) with nurses this perk and possibly even monitor abuse and ruin, would be very good for keeping track of survivors.
it might take up a perk slot, but i can see several uses for it

Somebody already said this and not_queen responded with she'll let the marketing team know about how we like the lantern glow and about adding it to the game.

This wasn't even about the lantern glow? did you read the post at all mate? :/ im talking about adding extra secondary objectives for bloodpoints

  • why not both B)

  • Oh and as an addon to my previous comment, nerf those addons, by the amount of time you spend in tier 3 ie, you can stalk potentially super fast but you lose time in tier 3 (so that the addons aren't op)

  • The only buff I want on Daddy Myers is being able to multi-stalk again. It made sense and still makes sense. He can't just see one frickin person when there's obviously two or three huddled at a gen together.

That would be a good buff... But maybe make it so rhat without stalk add-ons it has a small penalty to stalk efficiency/time Ie when stalking 2 survivors he stalks at 180% speed etc. So that it's not quite as powerful, but still enables him extra power when catching multiple survivors off guard. Stalking add-ons such as the memorial and the flower would mitigate this (and stop this nerf completely when used together while still retaining their original effect)
  • Fnatic47 said:

Am i the only one who thinks the killer that should get a big buff is the Nurse ? I see nobody playing has Nurse... Even the Legion and Freddy Krueger i see more often than Nurse...

Funnnnyy 😛 though legion maybe considering how many play him now
  • Vanity mirror with no speed reduction, tier 3 drains slower out of a chase and tier 1 Myers can vault pallets outside of a chase all sound  like good changes to me
  • The tier 3 buffs would be a little overkill, but the tier 1 buffs aren't bad.
But one of Myers main problems is the chase and finding survivors. Eliminating some of the time spent (I'm only talking a 5-15% buff) stuck in animations would help immensely
  • If I'm being honest personlaly I always run bt.
I will save you no matter what
I will give you a chance to survive if I can even if it's a ######### chance
To bad I'm accused of farming all to often due to tunnel nurses etc

I've lost all hopes of good killers, especially after Freddy and legion.

What does that even mean, so you say Legion & Freddy are bad, but don't mention Clown & Spirit that came between both of these, because I mean they're both great killers.

Clowns Santa redesign skin has kind of grown on me but I hate his power , it definitely should be tweaked.
It just isn't as fun to use like Michaels or huntress..

Spirit wasnt that much of an issue on the PTB by now she's a [BAD WORD] velociraptor .

My original statement says what it means.. I despise those two chapters for different reasons.
In less than a weak survivors had Freddy gutted and that has left a bad taste in my mouth,  and the Dev's still haven't fixed Freddy.

Legion is just straight garbage all across the boards.
His design is half assed and they clearly recycled assists and models from Death garden .

His perks are straight god awful, hell even pigs were better on release.

Then his ability is not fun or interesting fir both sides.
Chapter 10 is literally thee worst chapter in all of DBD's history

Chapter 10 is so bad, I regret buying it.
The Legion is so bad.. I regret playing him.
His perks are so bad.. I regret leveling him up.
Chapter 10 is a chapter of regret. That's something everyone can agree on.

Umm discordance is one of the best perks in the game mate.

I don’t even know if devs pay attention to rank anymore or if they care enough to even do something about it lmao. I don’t know why people boast about that when literally many people can get into high ranks easily. You know?

Eh true i can agree to that to some degree. but for the most part, a rank 1 will always be better then a rank 20/15 at the least. i just think that we should scale it a bit better and hide the actual values, which when you can't see actual values, is going to lead to less rank manipulation as easily (unless you keep careful track of match results.)

  • @Gamzello said:
Rank doesn’t even matter at this point. You could barely know any knowledge of the game, get carried by SWF and end up in the green or purple ranked at least.

Rank is supposed to separate “skill caps” even though it I’ve seen high rank play with low rank or the other way around. Smurfs also exist.

Not to mention the fact on how extremely easy it can be to rank up; especially while playing killer.

You don’t even get a reward for ranking up. Some games actually do give you rewards for ranking up (Overwatch’s competitive mode) since this game’s ONLY match is ranked.

I think this game is too causal for rank to be taken seriously overall. Even if it’s “competitive”.

Mate if you even read my suggestion at all you'd see that i wanted to take out rank in the way of numbers, leaving people to be split by skill cap and not be able to vocally say "oh im rank etc im better then you" along with enhancing the actual competitive nature of the game, by forcing high rank people to continuously have to play in order to maintain their rank, along with a greater grind to get to and stay at that point

  • @weirdkid5 said:

Still no because it would make people want to troll and sandbag to make people DC and steal their points.

If your points are being split between players in a trial you likely won't get all that much ie someone gets 1000 something points at the start of their game and decides to d/c? you'd only get 250.
Plus it plays on the psychology of - i don't want to give my hard earned points to other people, who are tryna make me d/c, thusly making people want to stay in the game more out of spite
though i think that people intentionally sandbagging others would be banned quite quickly for working with the killer.

Personally, I think ruin is fine like it is, as with all hexes. They are high risk, high reward as they should be. Using offerings kinda neglects that aspect of them. That said, I would be all for offerings that would create a fake hex totem on the map.

Totems are high risk, barely any reward, depending on the rank you are at.

Except for the fact that there not. i've seen rank 1's get cucked, by third seal, ruin and devour as long as they stay up. let alone lower ranks

  • i approve of all of these suggestions tbh

the problem with this is that it takes place in an offering, so more perks could be added which is essentially using 5 perks which could make the game impossible for survivors if abused. I like the idea of new and unique offerings, but not ones that give you a perks effect.

Solution, make a new tier of offerings, ie ultra rares/only give them out for completing killer daily's

I will say better, but still doesnt fix the issue with this idea. A better solution would to give it a perk effect that isnt a perk, so bascially creating a new perk only for the offering and making sure it doesnt conflict or promote with other offerings/perks.

    hmm true

I like this idea it sets another challenge to survivors along with more objectives.

However, I feel as if ruin only does good in lower ranks. Higher ranks some people can play through it or find the totem more quickly (in result of a little time being wasted for survivors)

A fake hex totem or hexes as offerings would make offerings more useful in my opinion. However, I don’t think devs would try to remove hex perks and change them into offerings. Especially since some killers came with hexes in their perks.

Even if it was a fake hex totem it would be amazing, but imagine if you could bring Devour or third seal into a match with an offering?

  • @SenzuDuck said:
If you want ruin, run the perk.

Let's give survivors Distortion offerings where their auras are hidden all game, or prove thyself offerings where they all have prove thyself.

Why are you being so sarcastic towards me? I'm sorry i offended you with my suggestion mate

  • Sounds good. Maybe a lesser ruin like rather than a 5% loss of progress its 3% or less because its not as powerful as the perk.
That's why I suggested a lvl 1 or two ruin where only a few members of a team are affected
  • @Maelstrom10 said:
    As an example
Offering : hex ruin - adds ruins effect (perhaps tweaked due to the nature of offerings) to the game, at maybe lvl 1 etc

good players are unaffected by ruin, lvl 1 ruin wont do anything but slow gen progress by very little

Yes but it does free up a perk slot for people that feel they need ruin potentially. Plus there could be other hex effects to, like third seal and devour hope
  • @KingB said:
Moving the left stick whichever direction they turn helps. It's still about a 50/50 though. I've yet to see a foolproof tip to counter it.

Move backwards and in the direction they swing

  • Honestly people i'm pretty sure people are under calculating prove thyself here tbh. having 2 survivors essentially already boosts gen speed a ton (though overall gen speed goes down yes, for the map wide gen rush) however using this on a 4 man gen, will not just allow the countering of the efficency penalty making you far faster, but if multiple people use it, along with toolboxes, you can easily do gens far faster then old leader/provethyself combo. now im not saying this needs a nerf at all. hell this is exactly the place i think it should be, especially with discordance now in the game and commonly run. It can only really break the game if survivors all bring tool boxes and a shroud. Even so just thinking about it in the actual percentages means that you can be doing a typical gen 20-30% faster.

  • I like all of these ideas too

  • @EntityDispleased said:
Lmao it's not like 90% of mobile games are blatant copy pastes of each other with every creator just looking to milk every penny out of them. This lawsuit won't make fallout 76 any less of a flop so Bethesda can absolutely [BAD WORD] off.

Eh 76 was fun, played through the entire thing. try to keep the idea of Bethesda studios and Bethesda corporate separate. because Bethesda corporate can go stick a cactus up its *** while the workers in the actual gameplay studios seem to just want to make good games. its the greedy people making the decisions that we hate, not people who are the faces of the company ie todd howard, pete hines. those people don't make the decisions. that being said bethesda is in a horrible state right now and for good reason. not defending them just defending the workers who had to rush a game that otherwise could've been far better

  • Huh, didn't think they were the same behavior studios tbh

While true, i kind of like no mither where it is
that being said that is a really good suggestion though

  • Honestly think tbh it would make a great addition to people who feel that games just aren't tough anymore
  • No. This would make it harder for your team if your killed. Yes you gain from it but at the cost of your team losing alot of momentum.
At the same time though, that's what happens with no mither. Don't see people complaining it should be taken out of the game due to survivors losing momentum because of it

I general Id like sth similar though

This is a bit different though 🤔 while wglf is easily gained, and has no downside (other then the use of a perk slot) this heavily nerfs survivor side akin to using no mither
  • I've been running leader, prove thyself, resillience and usually an escape perk (dead hard) or street wise and i gotta say its really good. not op. not broken. good. its going to be even better once 2.5 rolls around. it leaves you vunerable to the killer with the build (if not running a exhaustion perk) making chases tense if the killer spots you, while making gens more quick and engaging.

  • I bloody love this idea, though not sure I like the idea of having two hooks sort of "sprouting out of one" from a design perspective I think that looks a little odd, but hell i'd kill to have hooks that add effects to the game! One's One' choice, maybe not attached to each other, but spawning on the basement walls or even on walls / pillars of the map. Make them map specific even, have special hooks garunteed in a certain place on a map, such as on the boat in grim pantry, like a basement but instead of power coming from easy defense, have its power come from the ability to enhance the killer or debuff survivors.

Hell maybe even add killer offerings in order to choose the potential debuff hook you get, sort of like a map offering. Hell maybe even give survivors the same offerings (if the hook effects are balanced enough) so that they can choose which they'd rather face.

It might be useful only if you could do it while carrying a survivor. It is about the only time I would actually use it (especially against Jeff groups with toolboxes after last patch)
