  • And to redospine1's idea it basically brings a hex into the game that gives pallets a trap like feel as if one were playing against the doctor

  • Well thats what he's saying, but i just made mention that a hex totem for a survivor is cool idea, ie something that makes the killer have more objectives, which is something that most people can agree on. Killers and survivors both need more objectives to slow the game down, due to the easy nature of gen rushing.

  • I said the hex portion of his idea was good. having something the killer has to actively seek out to destroy besides the survivors. and for someone who says i wasn't ready for any legitamate type of discussion, you quickly rag on others, being extremely toxic. besides this is an open forum made for DISCUSSION not all ideas are good, and mine was just a suggestion, that you clearly disagree with. you've made your opinion very clear

  • Huh a hex totem for survivor.. that could be cool i mean that version of the perk seems "op" (due to it being meant as a joke) but yeah

  • welp thx for mocking my idea Shadowchao121

  • The unbroken build - Unbreakable, tenacity, iron will, and vigil, all to indicate a spirit unbroken by the entity, (add a key with survivor addons for gl)

  • and yet if a killer breaks all of the pallets in an area, your screwed? plus forcing them into an exhaustion timer, along with notifying the killer if there in a radius around you, makes it a far riskier play. hell you could even put it on a token system, making you actively have to for example cleanse totems in order to gain the "inner power" to reset a pallet

  • And i didn't realise there was a forum dedicated to fan creations and suggestions, if a mod wants to transfer this to there i'd appreciate that then <3

  • Someone sounds like a salty killer main. ;) and with the nerf to d strike and selfcare/healing coming i think its perfectly reasonable to add a perk to re flop pallets back up. i mean all it takes to counter it is to break the pallet (of which so many killer perks allow them to do faster ie Spirit break, fire up, brutal strength)

  • Do you ever think you'll add an option to turn off chase music? or better yet add in more chase music/ or allow for custom chase music or even add community made chase music (so long as it fits the theme?)
and also Would you ever consider adding an ability for survivors to "reset" unbroken pallets at the expense of putting them on an exhaustion timer?

  • really? well that sucks but i guess thats to be expected

  • myers n spirit/billy are the most fun games for me and definitely kate as favorite survivor. i mean look at that booooty

  • People keep calling the broken key useless. There wrong. Put survivor aura addons on it along with longer time and its a free bond for a few secs. Skeleton key is actually best for aura reading, with dull being best for hatch escapes due to the least amount of charges. Skeleton key with the blood amber and extra charges (and potentially streetwise) is a free one way obj of obsession, letting you see the killer for a limited time without them seeing you. Super super useful for stealth/awareness builds
  • You made me chuckle great post
    :) yay!
  • @not_Queen thanks for being a great community manager, really appreciate your kind interactions with this sometimes toxic but overall amazing community. Honestly the whole community should buy all you guys cookies just like some people did in the ow community for how much you guys do and listen to us :)
  • I agree with this 1000000 % i also have sensitive eyes
  • I mean again if its an item then people will only be able to take it, or a flashlight (or another item etc). not both, effectively severely nerfing the survivors abilities

  • is that tommorow tuesday? or american tuesday ie in two days?

  • tbh also think decisive strikes original affect should be tied to an item while its new effect is the perk, effectively making you use an item and the perk together to get the og d strike

  • I also think the game should have more "challenge perks" ie nerfing abilities with trade offs i mean i think ooo comes the closest to being the most "challenging perk" however its downsides are countered so easily that unless you pair it with no mither your gonna have a good time with it.
  • Honestly while i agree that no mither is a "challenge perk" i disagree that it should be tied to a charecter as exclusively all other charecter perks are purely positive (with few disadvantages, excluding things lik ooo) i think at the very least the status should be hidden from the killer to prevent tunneling.
I actually really agree with the vigil tweak though, thats an amazing idea!!
  • Totally for all these ideas actually,
Though i also think vigil should allow you to recover from exhaustion while running (at 25% the usual speed)(50% perhaps while injured?) that way people wanting to run pure sprint builds can do so at the expense of taking up multiple perk slots effectively nerfing them in other areas ie cause we all know they'll take, self care so =self care=sprint burst=vigil=then another perk (likely d strike with how people are)

  • A mod can tell me if this is not allowed, but im gonna boop this conversation up and they can i guess stop this thread if it ain't allowed but i really think this should be discussed

  • Will you ever add xp boosting offerings?

  • while i do agree another objective based mechanic would be nice, i don't really think it would enhance the games experience. Making doing generators more intuitive i think is the way to go,

  • Oh and to add onto the special effects of the item* i meant having a single use aura reading ability/addon (ie breaks upon use but lets you see the killer for 10s, gives you a temp object of obsession)
  • Why not a mix of both those ideas and mine? Have d strike (as a perk) stun the killer *After they've been hooked once* but have the original effect tied to a one use item? That way it will keep d strike players happy, both keeping it the same just requiring a bit of extra work to pull off (and negating the combo of a flashlight and d strike to bm the killer/be super toxic.) I mean also giving the knife or blade aura reading abilites/trapping abilitys would make it beyond useful as a one use item, making people wanna conserve it for when they realllly need it. Hell maybe even don't tie it to the bloodweb, make it only spawn in chests (with a slightly higher chance in the killers shack?) That way people wouldn't be able to stockpile them as easily making it so that d strike is overall nerfed, but for that one special occasion, that one special time you wish to escape you can bring that super helpful item you've been saving...
  • oh and to add onto the perk decisive strike, perhaps make it conserve the knife (while keeping a restriction on a use of once per round) or make it possibly stun the killer for longer/give the survivor a small sprint burst after stunning the killer. ie you run d strike and the knife item and you have the same stun as d strike right now (4.9s), but if you use just a knife its the same time as a pallet? (2.1s) ie the perk would basically double the time of being jabbed, and allow for escape, while requiring the knife to remain useful. the perk without the knife item could just allow you to stun the killer in place for a sec as the developers were planning

  • these are actually brilliant suggestions

Tie it to an item. Thats it, a single use item, make the perk decisive strike enhance the usage of the item, similar to self care or sabutouer. Also make the stun duration similar to that of a pallet.
The rarity of the item will act as the nerf decisive strike needs while keeping it strong and usable.

I wouldn't mind this for multiple reasons actually.

    1.) Survivors can't use a flashlight, insta-heal med-kit, and BNP (Even though it's nerfed).

2.) If the item is ultra rare, not many survivors will have it unlike a perk since perks aren't consumable while an item is.

Not a bad idea, guys, give this guy a chance! :)

Exactly my point! it would keep d strike at a level similar to one shot items ie skeleton keys, insta medkits, bnps etc allowing it to be used to escape but only once (maybe twice with addons, or allowing you to keep it with addons idk im not a game dev)
it would be brought to a similar level as adrenaline, being a sort of "oneshot" item/perk used to escape

  • pairing it to an item and nerfing it would keep it viable while also keeping it rare and restricted in use.
haven't played f13 so i dunno about that haha
