Glad you’re enjoying him! :D
This happens every update. New perks come out and I gotta lvl 7 killers.

Ive been havin a blast with Bubba. Tried Nemesis and PWYF on him...its so much fun.
-
That would be cool. I remember getting to the end screen, only to find out I was 1 crow short.
-
Its pretty much the same thing, except add Fortnight dances to teabagging at exit gates and pallets.
-
People are gonna talk about whats on their mind, theres no priority list about discussions on the forums.

You could spend those 30 seconds patrolling generators, chasing other survivors, protecting Hex totems etc. You also don't need to precisely time each second as it goes by. It's not massively difficult to roughly guess when a minute or so has passed.
The problem with this is your forced to patrol OTHER generators, cuz the DS guy is just gonna hop right back on the gen his locker was located next to as soon as you leave. The best move for any killer when a survivor divebombs into a locker is to pull them out. You deny a head-on play, you deny inner strength and you get DS out of the way so they cant use it later when it could cripple you more severely.
Ive only run into 1 instance where that WASNT the best move, and that was when a survivor tried baiting me into eating a DS by jumping in and out of a locker as soon as I entered that half of the map. They only had 1 teammate left and 2 gens to go. Pretty easy to figure out that lone survivor wasnt gonna pop both, so I stood out of the way of head-on and waited with a revved chainsaw. Still got the salty endgame screenshot, lol.
-
@Fibijean said:
You can't pop 3 gens in one minute, and a good killer can down someone in 30 seconds. Not all the time, but it's definitely doable. Pressure is not a myth, it's an essential skill if you want to do well at killer. It's not a matter of making the survivors fear you, but rather of forcing them into a position where they have no choice but to make certain strategic decisions, which you can then capitalise on.
I could go into details of how it all works, and I will if you want me to, but this comment was long enough already. Basically, keeping up pressure is the most important part of winning the game as a killer, and any good killer will tell you the same thing. There's a reason why the killers who are considered the strongest are those who excel at applying pressure to the survivors. So it's not really a stupid argument when you think about it - the whole killer gameplay experience revolves around preventing the survivors from getting the gates powered and escaping, and pressure is the way you do that.
If you chase one survivor for two minutes without downing them and ignore everything else going on in the game, you can expect to be at a disadvantage. On the other hand, if you manage to keep up the pressure through consistent downs, hooks, injuries and strategic patrolling in between, you can expect to do well because the survivors won't have the opportunity to get generators done.
The reason people bring it up so much is because it is the difference between playing well and playing badly as killer, and so when a killer does do badly in a game, 90% of the time it's an issue of not applying enough pressure. Basically, people don't necessarily say it to be mean - they say it because it's usually the truth.
The problem is most people only see pressure as downing 1 person at a time while racing the other 3. If you can chase multiple people off a gen, or juggle multiple survivors... thats a thing too, lol. Thats one reason discordance is so handy, it tells ya which spot to prioritize so you can pressure the most survivors at once.
-
Its been showing explosions at exit gates. Its nothing survivor related, its just the switches being powered and ready to use.
-
Would be nice if the green key came with an addon when found via chest. Giving it an addon to see survivor auras wouldnt be game breaking, lol.

Amulet was "makes everything MUCH better without any form of downside." Anything is going to feel worse by comparison.
(Fingers crossed for Carby Guide next.)
For the tuning guide, it might do alot of stuff but its all pretty minor things EXCEPT the charge rate boost, which is equal to one of his yellow addons. Things like making his saw 30% quieter isnt exactly gonna make a difference.

Lol that is a weak team not indicative of even a remotely competent survivor the only meta perks I see are adrenaline lol one was only using 3 perks
And they all had trash points which tells me they weren't even remotely competent
Their points just shows how quick I was to get back to back downs, that chainsaw is no joke. Feel like I couldve shown a screenshot of ANY team though and youd call em garbage, no matter the ranks. The idea that a Bubba won is just mind blowing.

It's not about getting outplayed it's about super safe loops and the objective getting done too quickly. It's very hard to put pressure with certain killers. How tf are you supposed to win with a killer like Leatherface if every survivor on the team is atleast decent at looping and you have ######### addons? It's not gonna happen so you have to play to the Killers strengths that you are playing which for Leatherface is camping.
Its definitely do-able without a mori
-
Just wish moris werent so plentiful. So many bloodwebs I burn through and end up getting forced to pay 7000 for an ebony that I dont even plan on using...just to get to the next bloodweb. Most of the time I let the entity eat them whenever I can.
Im getting a similar hoard of em for ALL my killers. Ya know how when instaheals were announced they were getting nerfed, how EVERY game all of a sudden had instaheals because people wanted to burn em all up... The day moris get announced they'll be nerfed...RIP. Im pretty sure most killer players have literal HUNDREDS saved up due to the game giving us more than we even WANT to use.

The salt of the survivor
There was no story for that game. The guy died and decided he needed to downplay the Huntress's skill by insinuating the character is OP and the killer player must suck for only getting 2 kills.

what story?

Never really understood the purpose of the devotion lvl, but I reckon its pretty much the same as the different portrates in overwatch after you hit lvl 1.

@Revansith said:
I also noticed the Last Minute Hero challenge blocks the track for survivor only players, it should be moved to a spur that would let you go back and do it once you had done everything else. As it is it is right there blocking any other challenges. Did the devs consider players that dont play survivor or dont play killer when setting up the tracks to complete the tome? Two either side challenges in Tome 2 cannot be done unless you also play killer
Im pretty sure the devs thought pattern was to have players playing BOTH sides rather than being stubborn and ignoring half the challenges. Personally, I play killer like 95% of the time, but had some fun doing the survivor challenges.

Quoting Peanits, One is an easy fix, the other, not so much.
The basement hook bug was the worst thing possible because it rendered you useless on quite possibly your first hook.
I saw a surge of ppl using agitation and iron grasp so they can get you in the basement jfc.
It's not a favoritism thing, that's so childish to say. This is fixing a game breaking bug that ends games faster than survivors do gens without ruin.
For me it got so bad at one point that we had a killer put 3 people in basement. He was running insidious, agi, and IG against a solo Q team lol
Using insidious against someone whos not getting out anyway seems like overkill, but ok.

Gotta say it should not be left up to BHVR to make sure nobody hurts your feels. If the words of complete strangers on the internet bother you to the point you don't enjoy the game you should look into getting to the root cause of that rather than relying on someone else to make sure everyone is nice to you.

In all seriousness though, hopefully with enough reports and enough suspensions, people will cut it out with that.

I never saw something like this in any game, but I know in world of warcraft you can "ignore" a player, if you press it you will never be able to read any chats or write with him unless you revert the "ignore" button on him.
What OP is asking for though goes further than just the chat. Unfortunately many ppl would just end up using it to either make sure they dont get teamed up with players that use perks they dont like (Self care, urban evasion) or get paired against a killer that beat them.
-
Just got a reminder of why slugging exists... Had a sabo squad on Crotus prenn just now. Just so happened I wanted to see how well Nemesis worked with Judith's journal for a permanant T3 Myers build that involved infectous fright. Sabo build, meet slug build, lol.
-
That change happened AWHILE ago. Stealth is still an option, you just have to do it smart. They introduced perks like Fixated for those who want to do stealth play and get around faster without leaving scratchmarks. You dont need camo clothing to play stealthy. Find cover and hide behind it when you know the killer is approaching. If you are not behind cover and the killer STILL cant see you, thats not your playstyle saving you.

But what about a list where you can only add a maximum of five people? That way it would be possible to avoid certain players, but due to the small amount it would most likely not affect the game or matchmaking in general. And people would probably think through who they add to that list and not adding people to it just because they were better.
Having to find a group of 5 people to play together that havent put each other on their respective lists could very much affect queue times. Currently you already have people complaining about queue times, especially if theyre trying to grind for an event or rift challenges. Putting in more limits is just gonna make that wait even longer.

¿? That's not the point, HE made the discussion not me, and after seeing that it had nothing constructive a mod closed it and banned the author. I'm not talking about the names, it's the discussion theme itself. Not needed, nothing constructive and not nice to see by new players.
The person your referring to started arguing with others and cussing them out in that thread. Rizzo shut it down because of OP's behavior, and stated that it wasnt a discussion (it was an argument). Forum threads dont have to be a debate or anything like that to be allowed to exist, but they DO have to be respectful.
Also I wasnt trying to claim you made that discussion, just that you made the link to it. Sorry for that misunderstanding.

This guy wasn't being constructive in the discussion and he got banned https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/108346/toxic-swf-destroyed-ddd#latest
I think post game chats aren't really needed discussions to be posted, because new players can come, read and then refuse to be part of the community
No clue if the person's ban was related to the discussion you posted or something else that occurred. The forum mods dont have any problems with posting discussions like this one though as long as it stays civil and the names in the screenshots are censored out. I've had a mod remove 1 of 4 screenshots I had posted once because I accidentally forgot to censor the names on THAT screenshot. They told me why they removed it, to which I quickly edited the screenshot and reinserted it in the post. Ironically it was about a week later that they gave me my fancy red profile picture, lol.

I need to get nemisis and play with your food on my bubba i think that'll be a lot of fun. Long guide bar seems pretty underrated.
Long guide bar isnt that good when you can just strap on another charge speed addon or something and start swinging sooner to get better results. I've just been burning this combo because I have aton of em.

That's just factually incorrect. The "bad wordtress" is the term used to refer to the iridescent heads and infantry belt build.
As you can see from the screenshot, the killer didnt even have any addons on. The killer didnt deserve the hate being thrown at them and I'll gladly back up someone whos getting flamed like this, even if their on the opposing side.
-
Typically the only reason I'll slot in NOED is if Im freshly lvling up a killer and dont have anything better yet. With NOED being a general perk that has a tendency of popping up within the first 5 bloodwebs, and its tier 1 version being pretty much just as good as its tier 3 version... it makes sense. Apart from that, my only ACTUAL usage of NOED was for OG Freddy. I didnt like sticking to using double block addons to speed up the dream transition, and having to wait so long before being allowed to hit the guy currently opening the gate sucked. Because of NOED, I had a tendency of DOWNING someone right after the doors opened as opposed to just giving them a speed boost to freedom.

Gotta keep them off gens somehow, I know what you mean. People are just gonna be sore losers, I think this game has too many of them though lol.
I like beating ppl with this build and these very modest addons. Means they gotta really dig deep to find them excuses, lol. On a different note, Everytime I down someone mid vault through a window with the saw, I always chuckle. You KNOW they are cursing dedicated servers and think it was a BS hit, when in reality...long guide bar just screwed em over and made it look weird.

I dont report normal raging and excuses, but if they start telling you to ######### and such...report that.
I save salty sceenshots and will gladly report my own teammates when I play survivor too.

IDC how anyone plays if it works and it's not cheating go for it, especially if they expect you to play the way they want.
Its dumb... I dont consider it a cheap way of playing, I just consider it playing aggressive to go for back to back chases like that. I dont use ruin on Bubba, but if I'm able to snowball pressure like I did with this game...keeps people off gens. At first I thought he just needed an excuse for losing against a Bubba, but he made excuses on his next game too.

I don't go out of my way to make others upset, but when I do get salty messages, my favorite one is, "You're a camper, git gud trash killer"
I typically respond with this message:
"I was making s'mores for you, but you died too quickly on the hook so I had to eat the ones I made for you! Jokes aside, GG, don't take everything to heart. 🤗😁"
Dude was a streamer so I decided to watch him for abit. Turns out 3 of the guys on the team were SWFs on coms and they got wrecked by an Oni next. His complaint to THAT was the Oni had WAY too much control chasing him around a tree before downing him. The Oni in question...was just walking, NOT dashing btw.
-
@TKTK said:
Mad, slugging is a strat killers can use, typical entitlement.
Wasnt like i WASNT chasing people. I downed 2 back to back, hooked one and then saw THIS GUY trying to creep in for unhooks. He really expect me to NOT chase him, lol? I dont slug without reason, I slug when theres another target for me to down real quick. As you can see by my emblems, this wasnt a game where everyone died on first hook...I got iri devout.

Probably all players left the chat, therefore, the chat goes offline. Otherwise you would talk to yourself. That's my guess at least and it's pretty obvious when they don't write anything for like 7 seconds.
I keep getting cutoff mid chat though. Had a game where a killer asked a question and I got cut off before I could answer.

You could do that, or purposefully eat DSes to make a new obsession. I use to do that every now and then when I wanted to get more STBFL tokens, but my obsession died early.

Swapped out Bond for kindred, only for my team to give the Mikey we went against a SUPER hard time and no one got hooked for the majority of the game... Rip aura reading, lol
-
To OP, typically you should be using different builds for different killer's needs. Theres really no 1 build fits all. Clown can make good use out of brutal strength for example, while Bubba doesnt need it.
-
@NoFace said:
It depends on killer and skill. Are you good at drowning survivors really fast and constantly? Then use Spirit Fury for a better chase.
If not or if your playing a killer that dosen't have a strong power, then use PGTW for game slow down.
Typically that would be the other way around. If someone is already good at ending chases fast, they dont need a perk to help with that part. PGTW would be better due to being able to use it more if someone can down ppl fast...
If someone is having trouble downing people...THEN youd want spirit fury. You cant slow the game down to buy yourself more time with PGTW if you dont get hooks to begin with.
-
Stunning a legion with a pallet is one way of stopping their power early. Sure you dont have to worry about the legion downing you with FF, but ending the power is making it so the legion doesnt chain hits to the rest of the team.
