If you are using 3 crows for one hit, you will be bad with Artist. You need to catch survivor with one crow. You need to make them repel with one crow. And then your power will has smaller cooldown. And you can catch survivor with other crows again.
Is it easy? No. Is it imposible? Ofcourse not, Nurse is still harder. Is it strong? Yes.
Artist is fine, her cooldown and repel time are fine.
She should not buff because somebody playing her with wrong way.
You know which survivor is holding box and who is solving it lol. That's not "solo-q" problem. Problem is you don't know who is going to solve box. Solo survivors have not coordination. Pinhead's box is fine. His chains needs buff, not box.
I get that you fire 1 crow, then do follow up shots.
If you fire 1 crow, then try to place a few others down while the survivor W keys, he just moves out of the line of fire of the other 3 until he repels. No mindgames to be had when the survivor just zones himself even after playing badly and getting hit the first time.
You can just dodge her crows when you see them get placed, that's fine, what isn't fine is running in a straight line and never doing mindgames because her repel time is too short.

Ringu is not a "significant licensed chapter".
But this discussion is pointless. Players WANT to see this game dying. They always ignore the fact that the RE-Chapter caused an anomaly with way more players playing than usually. The numbers are basically corrected to the normal number of players in this game.
Other games are also not dying when their big hype is over. They just adjust to a normal value.
Agreed on "people want to see the game dying".
Though what steam charts do show is terribly bad player retention, which can never be a good thing considering there has been many issues with the game in the past months.

I agree with all except Pinhead and Artist.
Artist's repel time and cool-down perfectly balanced. If you use your crows smarter, you can get hit. She already so strong and makes survivor leave loop. She does not need more. Maybe add-on pass? Sure. But her base-kit alright.
And Pinhead nerfed for reason right? He destroyed solo survivors (he still does). Because Pinhead mains kept chain hunt forever with some add-ons and perks. Buff his chains but box is alright.
Her cooldowns and repel time I would not say are that great, she is heavily incentivised to play in a boring way due to survivors just running forward whenever they have to repel. Survivors just zone themselves instead of playing mindgames when running away because they know how short the repel time is.
Her crow cooldown is long enough to make lockers much more powerful than they are meant to be. You have to just watch them run towards a locker and there's really nothing you can do about it except hope they don't know about it or try and hit them before they get to it (which most of the time isn't possible).
These are the main reasons why the best artist add ons are black tar and carrion, increased repel and reduced cooldowns.
Her firing crow cooldown is too short and survivors get hit even if they do predict the artist correctly in some scenarios. It's the only nerf id give her.
Personally for pinhead I don't think his box should be put in a nerfed state due to bad survivors, instead it should be buffed but made easier for soloQ. Maybe the person holding the box should have their aura revealed to all survivors for 3s added box solve time?

MMR but if I had to blame a perk it would be Circle of healing.
Also it will NOT be fixed next update, it'll still be busted asf even at 50% BONUS.
ftfy.

I snuff a totem when I'm near it (takes a couple of seconds). I'm not gonna waste 30+ seconds looking for a boon totem.
But a good squad will never lead you to their Circle of healing and will always place it as far away from the 3 gen as possible. They will MAKE you waste 30 seconds looking for it and given a trash map like ironworks or eyrie you could spend even more time looking for it/snuffing it.

DH, Circle of healing, Tinkerer.

Hopefully she does, and hopefully it's buffs to her repel time and cooldowns.

It is bad. It's a trojan horse perk to help killers. Nobody has time to look everywhere for a totem for a measly self-care.
I'll use Self-Care. You can't snuff it. :)
YES SLUZZY show them survivors how they should use self care instead and NOT circle of healing. Tell everyone not to use it and that its trash.
Also ignore my previous comment about propaganda :)

I used it on the PTB and it was actually still quite good even through Sloppy so sorry I fear I may keep using it
Nonono trust it's really ba d we gotta push propaganda to convince survivors it's bad so they stop using it trust.

Honestly yea I've always found that even though longer phases require more skill to pull off they are more punishing (for some reason).
Build in a charge add on while ur at it cos I can't use her without at least one.
-
She's very hard and unfun to learn. Once people get decent with her though she can be pretty fun If you like her gameplay.
It's similar to twins really, except she doesn't get screwed as hard by the meta (which is why I play her).

That has to be a time zone thing, because I basically stop getting killer games on Sunday morning by 8 am (PST). Around that 2am mark though? Yes, those are death hours ☠️
I don't know what happens at 2am but suddenly something just happens making everyone as sweaty as possible. It's like a switch that turns on making the arabic players come out and every good survivor run the most tryhard stuff.
I've adapted to it tbh cos I know at 2am I'll be sweating, and sometimes sweaty games can be fun.
-
The times I get the best squads are any times between 2am and 11am, and quite commonly on fridays, saturdays and sundays.
I wouldn't say it's exclusively a late night thing.

Seen too much artist slander recently and I don't like it
I'll just input my opinion here bc i have been happily slandering artist; she is boring and uninspired design.
do i care about the fact that her power is anti-loop no mobility? not in the way you might think.
i dislike artist because of her power, yes, but not in how it feels to face. i dislike her power because it is essentially another copy of anti-loop no mobility killer #33, with tiny tweaks that overall do not impact her all that much, if at all. she doesn't feel great to play because i've already played her- pyramid head, nemesis and slinger to extents- and i do not like her because of it.
original killers are where bhvr shines best creatively, and seeing them just rehash a power frustrates me because of it. i wanted to like her, i really did, but she flopped on arrival and the only thing that can save her is either a full kit rework for her, or a full kit rework for pyramid head, nemesis, slinger, demo, and pinhead.
I can understand that tbh. I guess I just don't get bored of anti loop killers playstyles after playing slinger for so long.

Yes, survivors should never get caught in DbD. You are absolutely right! My mistake. And three survivors can definitely knock out five gens if a survivor gets downed by him early.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2883712#Comment_2883712
How stupid of me! The counter to Bubba’s power specifically is to do all remaining generators in two minutes, plus open a gate. Thanks a lot!
Well lets do some counting:
- 20 seconds for 3 survivors to get on split gens (since we spawn pretty much next to them)
- 1 survivor is found at the 20 second mark (average) and is chased for around a minute since all pallets are up. Add on 10 seconds for weapon cooldowns and hooking time.
- At this point 3 gens are just below 90% and will be done in the next 10 seconds.
- 1m 50s for 2 more gens to be done.
- 20s travel time to next gens, next 2 gens get done in at max when there's 10s left. Exit gates 20s. Bubba travel time to gates depends on map.
- So okay, maybe a 2k depending on gate locations and weak endgame chases and NOED.
This is assuming a 1 minute chase, anywhere around a 1m 30 chase is a guaranteed 3 man escape assuming you play well. Any camping perks brought just force you to have a longer first chase and leave a gen 99 for deadlock. With how atrocious map design is currently a 1 30 chase is not too much to ask for.
And this isn't even talking about counters in a SWF with perks:
- Camaraderie
- Well timed Adren + soul guard + BT
- Deli DS UB BT + Sprint burst on unhooker (can be countered by iri flesh tho if unhooked doesn't have DS UB SG)
It is insufferable in soloQ with Mikaela players having an IQ lower than room temperature not knowing how to do gens. If ur in a SWF tho it's very counterable.
Unfun asf? Definitely. Uncounterable? No.
-
Do gens, easiest 3 man escape of the teams life.
-
I wouldn't say so, it's because playing her badly/in an unfun way makes her boring for everyone. Playing her well is SUPER fun and personally I enjoy versing good artists.
The issue is though is that she is really hard to play, almost to nurse level, so barely anybody is good with her.
I would say I'm ok with her and she's super fun for me, most fun killer I've played since old slinger.

What add ons were on the yellow medkit? Green add on for minus 8 charges plus 25%/yellow scissors would put you close to a single heal in 8 seconds
No add ons and not a single healing perk on the entire team.

Wait what?
Self Care doesn't boost any healing as far as I know. You mean Botany Knowledge?
People are confusing the added speed on CoH and the reduced speed on Self care.
New CoH heal time is as if you had self care + some perks that increased self heal speed by 50%.
-
How they manage to miss the core issue with the perk is beyond me. It's still giving everyone on the team free self heals with ZERO killer interaction for 1 perk slot.
Hopefully, it turns into a lucky break situation where despite a perk being extremely good, it's never used due to how boring it is.
-
Ngl I wasn't expecting such split answers but I think CoH has more votes.
I would go with CoH but it's really close for me.
-
I would delete tinkerer before NOED tbh.

"No discussions about DH/CoH"
So we can't talk about the literal main reasons people camp and tunnel...
ok.

Although I don't like the concept of his power (c'mon another range killer?), Trickster is a fine addition. Well, concept-wise.
He represents how sadistic people can be and that those closest to you can BE THOSE PEOPLE. Not every killer has to be a buff dude with a mask and machete.
This.
Trickster represents that some people are completely insane in the head yet they look like normal people and can be anybody around you. Trickster has by far the best tome lore as it shows him as both deceptive and intelligent while looking like a completely normal performer.

Yes, but don't tell anyone or we'll both get in trouble.
Haha wouldn't it be funny if you teased a circle of healing nerf haha... unless?

I know exactly how you feel. Maining killers for a long period - especially difficult ones have weird "phases" I like to call them.
Start a killer, learn them, become good at them, start to do bad because you expect to play well and start losing focus on the difficult parts of the killer, then after a long time you become so good with the killer you can pull off difficult plays without effort (but as a downside nothing feels rewarding anymore).
Idk if it's the same with other people but that's exactly how it went for me when I mained old slinger for 1.5 years. Even after 6+ months of playing him I felt like I was doing so awful and worse than what I used to be. Then around the 1 year of maining mark I felt as though I mastered him and I would never get rusty - that came with the downside that even fancy shots like shack shots, 18m etc just didn't feel rewarding or fun to do. I was just kinda playing him to play him.
Anyway I went off on a tangent there. Have you tried double charge time addons on her? That's the only thing that keeps me playing spirit tbh.

Prolly corrupt or NOED.

Usually I would dislike constant hate threads about a perk but god does CoH absolutely deserve it.
Can somebody at BHVR take one for the team and fire this perk into the sun for the sake of every killers enjoyment?

Oh great. Shaming people for doing a strategy in a game. Never change DBD forums.
I am proud of shaming survivors who predrop in incredibly unnecessary situations who make the game an absolute snoozefest.
Artist I can understand predropping. Predropping against a curve billy or onryo shows that the survivor is kinda garbage.

Then what do survivors have that helps against Undetectable? Unless you're asking us to use Premonition?
Survivors have their eyes and basic game sense to know when the killer is coming towards them (after a hook, seeing a dropped chase etc). Plus SWF callouts if you have a SWF.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
The difference is Iron Will takes away all sound, which pretty extreme. Whereas a cat lighting up when the killer is looking at you, which doesn't tell you their intent or direction or anything, how is that OP?
I wouldn't call it OP against most killers but ghostface's power literally requires you to look at survivors for a few seconds. Spine chill at least shouldn't work against stalking killers and at most shouldn't work with undetectable killers.
-
Tbh no. You would have to buff her birds waaaay too much in order to compensate for that.
-
WHY ARE WE SHOUTING IN ALL CAPS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

1 and 3.
The old MM was more fun than the one we have now, and old billy is old billy.
Everything else can stay in the past.

They just look at their stats. When they see that something is used to often (while ignoring why), then it gets nerfed.
Stale biscuit was barely used, alc ring on the other hand is used a lot.
Idk if it's kill rates either, cos alc ring would have a higher kill rate than stale biscuit.
-
No because CoH is sold on Mikaela, who is a solo survivor, and DH requires effort to nerf.
-
FYI there can (and preferably should) be some people working on weekends within reason, especially on a game with bugs popping out left and right. Rescheduling off days to the weekdays is something lots of businesses do.
Though emphasis on WITHIN REASON, you don't want to give a parent with kids a weekend shift when kids are off school.
Tbh I'm just happy nobody at BHVR is getting sexually harassed cough activision cough

I really hope we see circle of healing and dead hard get neutered, but so far they seem to think a slap on the wrist will be enough to fix CoH and they seem to have no problem with it single-handedly controlling and winning matches.
Nah nah that 25% nerf time means instead of the entire team healing in 8 seconds it's now 10 seconds! (with medkits)
See? Such a trash perk now.
