High MMR basically boils down to experience and skill. Hence, high MMR players using Twins will have a fair amount of hours, skillful, and know how to play the killer, making little or no mistakes a game.
Say what you want, but when comparing the very best killers in the game at high MMR vs. players that have mastered how to use them…the Twins are an absolute beast. They fair well in competitive play and tournaments VS some of the best gen rushers in the game.
If anyone believes Twins aren’t extremely good at high MMR…chances are you are probably NOT at high MMR, nor facing or playing as Twins using competent tactics.
Twins are only picked in tournaments because of the no duplicate perks rule along with almost every healing perk being banned. Here is DBDleagues ban list for twins:
Along with general perk bans, such as WGLF and every boon perk that are banned for every killer (some for balance reasons, others for bug reasons etc).
That's the only reason twins is picked in comp. Pubs is a completely different story where you can have 2 CoH and 4 med kits.
Twins in the current healing meta is trash. Even when played well. You can't keep up with the speed of which people heal with their decade long cooldowns.

This is a good point. We do try to reserve some reveals and news for segments on the stream to make sure that there's always something to turn up for (e.g. Circle of Healing, Lunar New Year event teaser), but it's tricky because saving news for a stream means not mentioning them sooner.
The other thing that we've been hoping to do is have more segments about various topics. For example, a talk with a level designer & level artist about what goes into making a map. These would be a lot of work to do, but if this is something you'd be interested in, please let us know. There is also a slight catch here in that some people simply don't care about these segments and would rather we just get to the questions.
So that's why the Circle of healing change wasn't mentioned in the dev update. Got it.
I can't speak for the community, but I'm sure anything to do with balance with have a good amount of people interested. I've asked Almo before and he says the perk designer is a nice person (or people?), so map design (layouts, upcoming changes, reasons for certain actions), perk design/balancing, killer design/balancing are topics I'm almost certain lots people are interested in especially with the people that handle that kinda stuff.
I'm also interested in the lore of the game, but lore has always been a "you love it or don't" kinda thing in the community. A mix of most subjects would be ideal for a stream, but it sounds like an absolute pain to plan and actually do.
This stream was good especially with the questions you chose. Personally I'd rather have lots of hot questions like the SBMM questions be answered with "soon" (like in this stream) than the questions avoided for less asked questions.

No worries, I can tell there's no ill intent behind it. Thanks for the suggestion, it's something we've considered before, but it's worth reviving. We try not to break up information too much (e.g. answering only some questions on stream, then sending people to the forums for the "not so satisfying answer" list) since a lot of people aren't going to follow through on that, but it's definitely an option.
Another thing id consider is the content in the stream.
Sure people come to the stream for the QNA, but also for other content (eg: Circle of healing nerf, BP codes). If there were a sneak peak to upcoming content, or even something that is almost finalised (such as perhaps a legion/BF change). Somebody coming from the stream wont think of it as a lack of content stream if something people want was teased.
Also, you should propose a change to the stream, and probably do a poll. Kinda like what happened with the DS/OoO stream. See the general reaction to chat if a certain change was implemented and to streamers who analyse the change more and share their opinion (of which is more valid due to a higher skillset).

One perk dictates the quality of how a wide variety of survivors play? Don’t killer mains usually use “valid tactic” as a comeback whenever survivors whine about perks or playstyles too?
What a weird and irrational take. You sure told them though lol.
Nah it's just a meme because the people who use overpowered perks are always the most salty ones. I could make an entire archive of salty COH users it's insane,

It's weird that people think what they want is the best course of action for the game. The devs clearly have their own ides for ewhat they want the game to be, and if players like it, then great. If not, well there's other games. I can't imagine how horrible the game would be if the devs listened to the community, no one ever agrees on anything, it would be a mess.
We can't agree on WHAT to do,
But we absolutely can agree on what NOT to do.
I cant find a single person who has said that the biscuit nerf was justified, amongst other changes.

Have you seen the state my slingy boi and twins are in? The last good changes they did was with Mcleans last patch, and mclean didn't even do the slinger nerfs.
Also this is the best thread for someone with a freddy PFP considering old freddy was basically deleted. God I miss old fredster so much :(

Anti W key perks are good, like Save the best for last. Brutal is a good alternative.
You really need to run corrupt 100% of the time.
Late 3 gen perks are good, so pop, agitation, pain resonance (if ur feeling lucky).
A good all round build is Corrupt, Save, Pop, Agi/BBQ/Lethal persuer.

With that in mind, I want to unite the community by having everyone engaging in a fun game where we try to guess how the next patch will nerf Twins further.
Everyone will get to engage with each other in a fun, non-controversial way that does not provoke debate, and there is worth in the exercise because we all know they will never stop nerfing Twins.
Let me start: Cat's Eye will reduce sound by 50% instead of entirely
Okay taking some guesses:
- Reduced victor MS with nothing in return
- Sword nerfed even further
- Forrest stew nerfed
- Fingernail nerfed

The same way they were able to remove skins in order to prevent harassment, they should also remove a mechanic that not only is hurtful emotionally, but also physically for some.

Think of it this way: NFTs are for buying the ability to SELL a product. Not to OWN a product.
Which means yes, the actual "product" itself is totally pointless. It's why you see so many crappy NFTs. I could literally go on MS paint, draw a smiley face, price it high and then it'll have value.
If you don't have proof that you have the rights to sell the ability to sell product (eg: You made it (in the ms paint situation) or you've bought it as an NFT) then you cannot sell the rights to sell it again.
That's why the "Right click - save image" meme (while funny asf) doesn't actually have an effect, because nobody cares about the product itself, only the rights to sell it from an official source.
So yes, there is literally zero point in NFTs other than money. Literally zero.
If you want the "product", just right click and save.
3 of the main reasons why NFTs are bad:
- Real artists get their work stolen, there has been a noticeable amount of cases from deviantart where artists have had their work copied as NFTs with no credit given.
- It is absurdly easy to get scammed.
- The crypto used is incredibly bad for the environment, and I mean really, really bad for it.
If I made any mistakes feel free to correct me, this is just how my brain understands them.

1) Seeing where he shoots doesn't matter when you have no time to react to it. The only way to react more is if you have distance, and even then its iffy.
2) Congratulations. Huntress hatches have windup times and travel times. So does Trickster. Trickster even has spread. Literally every ranged killer has to take this into account, but for some reason, as a Slinger main, you think you're the exception to this?
3) No, its not a prediction game. Its a guessing game. Just like Spirit phasing, you have no idea if he is going to shoot or zone. There is literally no way to tell. If you run in a straight line, he can literally just shoot you unless you're in a position where he can't profit from such a shot. If you dodge and weave, sure he zones you, but that gives him less options than just shooting you. Good survivors can wait it out and bait a shot before dodging. That's what makes a survivor good, y'know, the other ######### half of the playerbase, they exist too? Again, this is not unique to Deathslinger, this is a feature for every ranged killer; they can zone people out and fake a throw. Exception is probably Artist.
You wonder why nobody wants to give you a peer review study to 'prove' something to you; you've already convinced yourself that you're right.
My question is: Why do you need to react to it?
You can also dodge huntress hatchets due to the start-throw time, basic human reactions, and travel time. The margin of error is also tremendously reduced due to her train sized hitbox. Trickster is well, trickster and really weird. He also has a stupidly long startup throw time, small hitbox, and noticeable travel time. But ya know being able to pelt 40 in 10 seconds kinda removes this counterplay option.
And oh my god I see the issue now. It's a prediction, not a guess. A spirit you had NO clue where or when she was phasing other than animation resets. And given no direct hint towards her add ons. There was no logical thing you could do other than do something random and pray she isn't samantha and guess the right thing.
So let me repeat that: Due to old spirit giving no signs of where she is, or what she is doing, when she went in phase you were reliant on basically doing a random thing and hoping it worked.
Old slinger was NOT like that. You had a clear indication of all angles where he could shoot based on where he was looking, hell you even know how angles would effect the likelyhood of you getting hit due to you knowing where the spear was going to be launched from.
Unlike spirit, you understood the situation at hand and what the slinger could do to get a certain result, which makes it a prediction. Spirit you had literally zero clue what was happening, making it a guess.
And for the "if you dodge he zones, if you don't he fires" I already disproved that because once again, due to the slingers reaction time and travel time of the spear, you had to commit to either zoning or firing. You couldn't react mid way to a survivor dodging. Why does everybody consider the survivors reaction time but not the slingers?
Now if I was convinced I'm right, I wouldn't still be talking here. I come to the forums to debate because honestly it's fun.

So you're literally just admitting that the problem is that you're a selfish prig who only cares about your own fun.
I mean, we seem to have found the problem; its you.
You still haven't provided a definite reason why the quickscope was objectively bad game design. I have put forward my points to why I think it was fine:
- You could see where the deathslinger could or could not shoot. Not like an old spirit situation where there was no indication of what's happening
- I've disproved that "It's up to the slinger to miss" in an earlier comment. Simply it's due to the travel time and quick survivor strafe speed.
- You are not forced to dodge if he lifts, you can predict him going to zone you and keep running, similar to a TL mindgame.
Like if you wanna trigger some people it's called baiting in BHVR twitter replies with ######### takes, that's what I do and it's funny asf. But why the forums?

I'm sure it sucks for you that you can no longer rely on quick scoping to get shots on console and moved on to Trickster where you no longer have to aim as precise but keep practicing man.

Yeah, we know you're a DS main.
That's why we're disregarding you. You literally are choosing to ######### about this because you lose the one-trick-pony you had that got you to this point, and you refuse to get better.
Slinger was always mediocre anyway, so the fact that you NEED that quickshot shows me that you need more time on the killer.
Maybe you'll actually learn to aim in another year, who knows.
That is* bait. Too much dumb things said in one comment.

@Myla said:

Lmao okay buddy. A split second shot where you can zone survivor out by ads in and out that even other ranged killers can't do. Just because you missed doesn't mean he's balanced in that dedepartment. That's more so your inability to aim then again you wouldn't understand being a console player and all. You don't miss in KbM. It's a huge advantage.
Hmm ok lets see:
- Doesn't respond to any of my points instead provides arguments ive already disproven.
- Telling an old Slinger main who constantly watched both PC and console slingers "I wouldn't understand" cos I'm on controller, despite maining him for 1 1/2 years and constantly getting tips and advice from other slinger mains.
- "You don't miss on KbM" LMAO.
Come up with valid points I can't disagree with, or disprove my points. I've provided why I think the quickscope was fair.
Have you tried dodging? And predicting? A killer requiring skill to verse =/= an unfair or objectively unfun killer.

@Chilli_man2400 said:
People are completely misunderstanding me and someone else’s point what I’m trying to say is. It’s not about survivors can’t beat and counter slinger it’s the fact that Slinger could do fake zoning quick ADS you couldn’t predict a chain shot. God slingers will never miss there shot. If you dodged a slinger chain you didn’t outplay him he sucked and missed! That’s not outplaying that’s The slinger being bad at the game. I know there’s obstacles to break the chain but slinger will never go for long range shots he will always quick scope you get no reaction time he could shoot in .15 seconds and down you without any reaction time. When ever you raise your gun and put it down there’s no speed penalty nor cooldown you could zoom forever and down people easily.
People saying there was no counter can’t let go of there ego and admit slinger had problems. I’m not denying the changes were bad. Yes the TR change was bad and he didn’t get buffs to compensate but your all ignoring why he was problematic he had no “COUNTERPLAY” in a chase. You can argue all you want but you could never beat a god slinger in a chase.
Your argument is based off of "if he missed he missed"
That is not how old slinger worked.
The human reaction time of the slinger, the tiny spear hitbox, the brief ads time, the travel time, meant that the survivor could dodge in time IF they predicted it and due the fast startup and what I mentioned earlier he could NOT change what he was doing mid-fire.
If slingers harpoon was hitscan, THEN id agree with you because when the harpoon leaves the gun there is literally NO time to dodge if you predicted.
So let me repeat it: Due to the travel time of the spear and human reactions, survivor strafe speed allows you to dodge any shot past 3ish m given you predict it.
So, that means: If you are a literal god and can predict anything, you could theoretically dodge every slinger shot past being right next to him.
You consider the survivors reaction time, but not the slingers?

Only 4.4 killer in the game with a 32 meter tr
Only one
Hag moves at 4.4 has a 24 meter
Trickster moves at 4.4 has a 24 meter
Huntress moves at 4.4 has a lullaby
The ads time you get used to after playing him for a bit
I say I'm the best because I also have probably the same amount of hours you guys have but I've actually played vs comp teams I'm not using it as a insult or trying to brag it's not like he has a high skill ceiling or he's incredibly complex I've just played vs comp teams a number of times and last time I checked I have somewhere around 2.5-3k hours on deathslinger alone
I agree he was gutted but my point still stands about the tr
True, the TR is not fun at all especially on large maps and against prerunners. So much for their consistency changing pigs TR from 28 to 32 cos shes 115 but slinger can have 32m as a 110.
I'm mainly talking about the clunkyness of ADS making him much less fun cos you have to zone more and reducing his overall viability.
Off topic but one of my first scrims was funny asf. The team was practicing against slinger cos their opponent picked him but the map was god damn gas heaven. Who the actual hell picks gas for slinger? I only did a very small amount of scirms and 1v1s but damn gas heaven?
-
@Myla said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2712538#Comment_2712538
He can do another ADS because you expect the survivor to try to dodge. Then you do another a split second shot at his attempt at dodging because it's impossible to dodge. Not even Huntress can do that. Even then there's a lot of situations where it's just a guessing game because again it's a split second shot. It's nothing like Huntress who actually loses distance by the way longer she holds her Hatchet up and if she misses.
Ah console lmao. That explains it.
If you dodge, and the slinger expects him to dodge, then you predicted wrong. Similar to a TL wall mindgame.
He has 1 shot, but you can dodge an infinite number of times until he catches up if you want. At distance it was hilariously easy to dodge if you knew what you were doing. Close up you had to read each other pretty well, which was fair. Which is also how strong chase killers should be, difficult to verse but still has counterplay and outplay options.
A console player knows how to verse and use slinger and you don't. A bit alarming.

2 things first off I'm probably the best deathslinger main on this forum so stop generalizing
Most slinger mains don't care about the aim time we are all mad asf about the tr nerf cause he's the only 4.4 with a 32tr so that means by the time you get to a gen theyve already made it past 8 pallets
The nerfs are not well justified and at least 80% of the community everywhere on the internet says he was nerfed too harshly
People like you are exactly why Freddy and Billy are still trash
Believe it or not but the world does not revolve around you, you aren't always right, and it's ok for others to have different opinions
Be a adult, adults have discussions and open communication
Slinger mains do care about the ADS time, the only people who didn't were the people who over zoned and crutched on MnA.
And with people like Kebek on the forums (and I think jane but I'm not too sure. And me if you want to stroke my ego), saying your the best on the forums is an incredibly bold statement considering how much time some people here have put into him.
But yea, he was definitely over nerfed and I wish people learned to play against him before he was gutted.
-
@Myla said:

Lmfao dodge what? So the death slinger can do another quick ADS?
Scratch what I said. Deathslinger doesn't need buffs. He's in a perfect state right now and just learn to accept it.
He can't "do another ads" as he cannot insta reload. He makes a decision that he will or will not shoot, he couldn't change options midway through firing.
As for your "slinger mains just want a stronger, insta ADS killer". I do not want a stronger killer, I want a FUN killer. Ever since slinger nerf my "main" go to killer has been trickster on PS4. Arguably the worst killer on console but I still play him cos he's fun. The increased ADS time has let me tell you: Slaughtered any fun I can have with slinger.
I don't care if he's still weak, I just want him to be fun. Him being strong again would be just another not-needed benefit.
