I think my main issue with it is that Im just so use to getting into chases and going for downs that breaking chase just to kick a Generator feels bad. And I know their effects are strong, and sometimes even necessary to have, but I really just cant bring myself to consistently bring them because the playstyle it promotes I really dislike.
This is sort of what I felt as well. I never really played into the gen kick meta because I'd rather chase, and I think dropping a chase to kick a gen is (was?) a) boring b) made players worse overall because they prioritized it over chase c) half of the time the survivor escapes and gets off because you didn't commit (at least I did). So I won't miss this meta, and hey, I hope this means chases will be fun again when I play survivor!

Out of curiosity... how long does it take to lose the casual player label
Cause for me it's...
Killer: 50 hours
Survivor: 100 hours (of Solo play... IMO SWF's don't count)
I actually think it's a tough and complicated question, in which I typed up some huge post but felt like it was just a little overkill, so I shortened it up a bit.
But to try to answer your question directly - I think, generally, what differentiates a casual player from someone who doesn't play casually is entirely their mindset on how they play the game. I think if you care about the outcome of a match as you go in on either side, you are no longer playing casually in any form. If you go in with the mindset of winning (whatever winning means to you, that is) EVERY match, I think this automatically disqualifies you from being someone who plays the game casually.
The reason I think that is specifically because I think hours are intangible to skill and don't tell the whole story, skill in itself - as a blanket statement - is hard to measure, but if someone is playing a game casually, typically they don't care about winning or losing.
But I think this comes with a big asterik too, because I mostly fall into the not caring about the outcome of the match sector, but I sweat on my main and actively do care about the outcome of a match, but I couldn't care about losing any other match. So shrugs.
So - I don't know if you agreed with my comment (I wasn't disagreeing with you, by the way - I agreed but just was picking your brain some more about the other side of what you talked about). Eventually, everyone, despite their mindset or being casual or not, does develop some sort game sense, which I think is more or less including everything you said, right?

He won’t answer your question but yes of course survivors need to know all of that. He’s a biased killer main and will only express platitudes that support his myopic view of this game.
I don't think that's fair to say. For reference, I do agree with them on what they said that those things matter because I think all of that are important things that helps build your game sense. I just wanted to get more insight on what they thought on the other side of things too. I wasn't trying to argue or catch them in a gotcha or anything, if I worded it in that way that is completely on me. They could have honestly not replied and I probably wouldn't have noticed or given a second thought about it.

Ok...... I may be a biased Killer main.... but I do think about the other side... Just because I being up what Killers go through and you say that means something (to say the least)
Fine then.... Yes Survivors do also have to learn the same things as Killers but Survivors also rely on SWF's/ teammates to pull them out of hard times (I don't claim SWF after every match... but I'm not everyone else)... What does the Killer have?
So why not answer my question... How long does it take to lose the casual player title???
And how is that unrelated... I am still talking about casual players
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3402386#Comment_3402386
Survivors just need to know the perks in general... cause they aren't shown in pre-match lobbies
Maps yes... also Survivors do have to learn more about maps then Killers
Killer powers yes... but then that player isn't a casual (if they can say "oh it's that Killer... ok so this is what I'm going to do")
Killer perks... yes... until you see perks getting used or activate... and again they wouldn't be casual if they can see the perk activate or being used and say "Ok this Killer is using X perk)
Killer addons... yes but that's something casuals don't care about (it's too specific)
So how big is the gap between casual players and experienced players?
So I think I do disagree that having strategy or recognizing things makes you non-casual - I think perks in general are important things to know and aware of effects in general despite being casual or not. Joe Schmoe who plays the game for an hour or two after work, doesn't care if they win or lose, will eventually become aware that We'll Make it made that survivor heal their teammate incredibly quick, or dead hard caused the survivor to endure that hit, or that eruption made them scream, or when being chased by a nurse they need to try break line of sight, or that myers never went out of t3, etc.
As far as the gap goes, I don't really know. I think you can be both experienced and casual, I don't think it's inherently antithetical. To give an example for a completely different kind of game, I think I'm pretty experienced in something like.. Stardew Valley, but I still play it fairly casually whenever I do pick it up again because it's just sort of mindless - I'm not playing it to speedrun or break the game or race against the clock doing the community center in year 1. I just personally think what differentiates people is how they play the game.

@RaSavage42 said:
Cause players can start as "casual Killers" but the game gets to them fast and they change
Also the thought processes change just as much when a players plays Killer
Killers need to know:
The maps
Their perks
Their power
Survivors perks
Gen times and Heal times... and everything that affects them
And come up with a strategy as everyone readies up and make changes when everyone loads into the map... and even more changes when the first chase, first Gen, first Hook... even first injure
I used to be a "casual Killer" but that soon changed and then I got to Red Rank 1 (back before the change)... never doing that again
Now I'm obsessed with new Killers, perks and maps... but I can't play as of right now (but hopefully soon enough)
Out of curiosity, do you think that survivors don't have to think about any of that as well? I'd argue survivors need to know maps/rng, their perks, their teammates perks, killers powers, killers perks, killers addons and specific playstyles per killer (for instance, playing against condemn sadako is pretty different than a normal sadako, likewise a basekit blight has pretty different counterplay than double speed, or alch ring/c33 blight, etc), as well as think of gen strategies so you don't 3 gen and when the best time to heal or rescue, for instance. Doubly so in solo-q. This game gets complicated and overwhelming with factors that affect every little thing, especially for new players.

This is why ranks were better imo. If you wanted harder games against better players/teams, you could aim for the red/purple ranks. If you didn't play a lot or wanted mixed games, you could aim for rank 10-12. Instead, now you get sweat squads every other week if you did well the previous week. Takes a week of being stomped to find better matches again 😅
I disagree, rank matching was the definition of mixed bag. If ranks were reset further than just 1 color grade (at the tippy top of that color grade, mind you), then maybe, but that ignores the fact you can just breeze your way to rank 1 on both sides in like, a week or two, if you play enough. I'd argue sbmm is a bit more consistent at giving me better teams.

That's the point I'm making. Why does the Switch interaction between both roles lead to the same outcome, at minimum?
Because it's a commonality between the roles. If you feel like the survivors are refusing to open the gate you can open it yourself. You can also make blood warden plays this way too.
Also, the purpose of you being able to is to force end a match - there used to be no timer or collapse, so even with the doors open the match would never end. You being able to open the door or the survivors ensures the game ends.

An they generally ignore all good feedback.
I hate when people say this because the obviously have to play their own game. They also don't have to be tip top mmr. They understand the game functionally better than all of us.
They ignore a lot of feedback because it's not good. I'm going to be honest most ideas I see floating around are bad and the devs are smart not to listen. They have implemented some community feedback so they obviously listen, but they also have to consider everything else as a factor those suggestions might not take into account for
I'm not saying everything they do is flawless or without criticism but the devs don't play there game is just something that holds no flooring just like when people parrot "spaghetti code"

Why can’t both Killer and Survivor work on Generators then?
Why would you be able to? You have two different objectives. You either kill the survivors, or they do generators to end the game, why would you be doing generators?
-
I love flashies. Flashlights are basically free pressure, keeps people off gens. They play overly altruistic and you can get multiple injuries the majority of the time.
-
Sounds like you got hit with blood warden. The counter is to either 99% the doors before you know everyone is safe, or leave immediately and just let the person on hook die.
-
I only actively like only going against one killer, but I can name the 3 I can't stand the most though.
- Pinhead, the anti-solo queue man himself. I want to tear my hair out because unless you got a good matchmaking lobby solo q is just horrific in this. No one goes for the box until it's too late, and people make the werirdest decisions like 'I'm death hook, I'm the only one on death hook, and I'm injured, I'ma get the box :!)' and then it's a 3v1 at 2 gens left. I also find his voice lines really annoying and distracting.
- Huntress. I'm going to be honest, perhaps borderline a skill issue - but I think she has the problem of she's eventually going to down you that trickster has. I don't think being unpredictable (like switching the way you juke) is good enough counterplay because stuff like that forces you into a 50/50 (which is my main issue with nurse), and even if you take cover and break line of sight (which, is counterplay) is map dependent and you are at the mercy of your hitbox and latency if you try to take cover. The last time I played against huntress I was behind a wall completely, and I still got downed from latency. Ironically, I main huntress and have poured hundreds of hundreds of hours into her and a lot of times I think my god some hits I'm making are bs. I don't think she's op, and I think she's mostly balanced, I just find it annoying and you face them so often.
- Trapper. Completely on me. I am a goldfish and will step in the same trap twice.
Runner ups are nurse and blight because people give up immediately with them, I don't even blame them sometimes, but just makes for bad matches.
edit: oh my god I forgot about the worst of them all hag. I want chases, which she does not provide. I block her out of my memory and forgot all about her

I don't mind killers DCing. Everyone's free to start a new game, and no one's chances at winning were harmed.
I have the same issue with killers dc'ing as I do survivors dc'ing - which is people dc over the smallest thing that went wrong or because something happened they didn't like and then the game becomes a waste of time for everyone. This is a both sides problem.
It can take a while depending on the time of day to even get a survivor match - so, my time sitting in queue, loading into a lobby, which might take a while if killers dodge, and all for a killer to dc because they got stunned? Also, as a survivor, you also lose addons, you lose your offering as well. It's not about whether or not my chances of winning are harmed, it's about my time I've lost on a match.
-
I mean would this be an option to turn on? Because if not like I could be going match that I know has a cheater or potentially has one (game bans/vac bans on record) or a person whose profile is racist, or has a racist name and I can't dodge because now I'm locked in because of a swf. Or if it's a profile where they have like 10 hours total. Which are all real reasons I dodge lobbies.
I'm firmly and the camp where swf means nothing in terms of your average public match, and if have have to swap perks or add-ons to handle a swf you probably should be running them anyways. I think if they ever did add this it'd be in the end game screen.
Plus, now that I think about it, people will just relaunch the game or pull their internet plug out if they know it's a swf, locking the match won't even do anything

Really? I’ve been playing for almost 2 years and I can count on my fingers how many killer DCs I’ve seen. Now when it comes to survivor DCs….
I don't disagree survivors probably dc more, but the issue is our perception of matches too, right? Like, there is obviously only 1 killer in the match and our singular match is but a drop in a ocean of matches currently going on - where our killer matches we have 4 survivors leading to a bigger sample size and we can see higher amounts. Personally, I have seen killers dc much more than what I can count on my fingers in the 3-ish years I've been playing the game.

just add killer bots already no one going want play killer soon anyways.
"no one going want play killer soon anyways" is something that has literally been being said since I started playing this game. Social media killers (tm) have been prophesying mass exodus of killer players, but I don't see it nor do I see this patch doing that either. In either case, most people want to play against real people so the game is just going to die if one side just drops off. This goes for both survivor bots and killer bots, mind you.
-
I only like going against billys.
I only like playing as huntress. It used to be billy but I got burnt out.
-
I hate playing her. She's boring to play, is a pub stomper, and what's almost even worse than those things is a lot of people dc almost immediately when they load in and hear the screech from your blink. My last game had two DCs after hearing me blink and I just left my computer in frustration
-
You don't need the video evidence but I think they would appreciate it when possible regardless. They probably keep logs of end game chats based on reports for harassment or advertisement of cheats and stuff, they can probably figure out botting based on bp gains.
I can't find the reply Mandy made to me once but she has confirmed that video evidence isn't always required, but I'm unsure how it works for stuff like lag switching or working with the other team or stuff like that.
-
Are you talking about huntress? If any huntress addon needs to be basekit it would be shiny pin or the brown version of oak haft but to be honest huntress is in a perfect spot right now and needs no changes at all. Also I think babushka basekit would ruin my muscle memory.

It shouldn't be a comp gaim I agree. But the sad fact is the devs made it one. Mmr and balancing is pushing the game into the comp side of things. Also putting 2 sides into a game with the objective of beating the other side will almost always breed a competitive mood in the player base. I wish it wasn't competitive and I don't play that way (unless the red mist depends) but that's the way they're pushing it.
Even if you think it is, it's still not a comp game and the devs didn't make it one. And you don't have to play it as one. If this game was competitive in any way they would be officially balancing it around comp play. Which they know exists. And have their own community cups. But they don't. Because it's not a comp game. And like you said you yourself, that you don't even play competitively so what's stopping anyone else?
The only thing that is competitive are players. As I said a little above, the only reason MMR even exists in this game is so people would stop smurfing or intentionally derank to 20 to beat up babies and match with people roughly their skill level. Which, ironically, would be exactly what would happen if they made a ranked mode and unranked. Which, you know, is the thing that would actually make the game competitive.
And what's even a little bit more ironic MMR in this game does he even prevent that fully because it's not strict whatsoever. Anecdolly, on my main who I win most of my games on, keeps getting matched with lobbies with brand new players, and then I dodge and get players that aren't. How is that competitive?
Believe me I would love it to be stricter. And I actually want the game to be competitive. But it's not.

Its not a comp game. But they have mmr. And they are constantly balancing things. Sure sounds like a comp game to me. If it wasnt comp it'd be completely random matchmaking and they wouldnt worry about meta or balancing things
Did you know single player games have balancing too? And board games? That things can be completely op in those games too? Balancing doesn't mean anything. And even if it did it also matters where it's being balanced too.
You can't not have a matchmaking system in this game. Just because it's not competitive doesn't mean there isn't a skill difference whatsoever. In case you weren't around for it, the ranks used for matchmaking. People would Smurf to dominate babies who just started the game. That needs to be prevented, which the mmr system is only there for and sometimes it even fails at that.
By the way, there is a comp scene that does their own balances and rules, and scoring. But it's not at all related to bhvr and bhvr has no intention of balancing around that play style at all. Because the game is not competitive.
-
@blmpride5 said:
This is a comp game (which is why the game is always being balanced and theirs mmr etc) so why would a killer have to be nice and go for 11 hooks? What is wrong with this community?
It's not even a comp game though. You get nothing for gaining mmr. It's not even public. Bhvr didn't want to anyone to know how mmr is gained or lost because they didn't want people to game the system to intentionally gain or lose mmr. People CAN be competitive but the game itself is not competitive whatsoever.
Who cares if someone tries to go for 11 hooks? Why does it matter to you what others do and find fun in this game? What's wrong with this community?

just give her mint rag basekit already. It’s too good to be an add-on and simultaneously not overpowered enough to make any considerable changes to it.
She is a 110 killer, she needs some dynamics outside of being able to Triggered traps really fast. Giving Mint Rag mitigates her biggest flaws with chasing while not giving her an oppressive chase because she’s still slow personally and relies mostly on hit & run (an aspect of her kit that is naturally buffed by way of COH and medkit nerfs, at least).
I'm not saying mint rag is an op addon but making it base kit 100% is

That's why when you play trapper you use the addon that injures a survivor when they disarm a trap and the one that downs a survivor that gets out of the trap by themselves. That makes Trapper actually dangerous.
Hag dosnt have those kind of addons sadly
Hag doesn't need that kind of addon. Even with these proposed changes she's still, as someone said above, a complete pub stomper. And trapper being weak is sort of irrelevant to what I was trying to get at, which is that I a) resent the term "bullying" because (as someone who was bullied extensively for years) isn't comparable or accurate to say b) and even if it was, the in game mechanic to disarm traps aren't bullying.

The difference is you can teleport to those one’s and potentially punish, that’s not the case when you wipe them away.
Not really. Hag is slow, they run far away fast if you are too slow, people waiting till you pick up, etc. I feel like you've never played hag against a team that actually knows what they are doing.
Also, re: trapper, hag - I don't consider having counterplay and survivors disarming or removing traps as "bullying" and I feel it's a bit of a stretch.
-
+ 1 on this. I'd also like to see an updated chart of perk distribution compared to mmr as well.
Edit: also, same type of chart I mentioned above would be cool for kill rates per mmr per killer too.
-
For the love of God stop booning and rescue me. Especially if it's a plague. Let me heal under hook I can heal you with we'll make it, stop running towards the boon. Stop moving your boons just randomly. Boons have gotten my team and myself killed more times than I can count. But I guess I won't have to worry anymore.
Please look behind you in chase.
And finally. Stop rescuing me when I am camped just for the love of God do gens and leave.

It’s obviously to OP’s scenario, the other statement would be silly to make.
Saying swf doesn’t really matter is a very false statement.
Most players and swf in the game are bad, but much are significantly better on average at higher mmr. Swf gives so many advantages it significantly lowers the bar as far as how good you need to be in your swf to win as well. IE you don’t need to be that great of a swf to win through sheer balance issues. Just saying “bad swf” is a bit misleading.
I just wanted to make sure, ya know. Thanks for clarifying
I don't think it's false at all. What I do think is false is saying higher mmr means anything - I've stated many times on here and elsewhere and I'm a major proponent of mmr in this game and it's a system I think works better than ranks. But the matchmaking is way too lenient. Like me, someone who spends grinding this game for hundred(s) of hours a month on this game, should not be going against people with the fraction of hours as me. And on top of that, bhvr specifically never wanted the conditions that raise/lower mmr to be public, and when it was leaked, people tried to start gaming the system.
But I digress. To me, what you are even complaining about isn't a swf issue. It's purely matchmaking being too lenient.
I don't agree with your assessment, because the true strength and advantsge of swf is easily achieved by having 4 great people on your team. Macro play, and game sense are underrated as far as I'm concerned, on both sides. I really dislike bringing up content creators for a multitude of reasons, but if you look at when Zubat swfs with scottjund, they don't use comms - they duo and can probably escape and win their games just as early in pubs because they are players that are good, have good game sense and have good macro play. Their strength is almost equivalent to just being two good solo players in the lobby. Some of the best players I've ever faced against were 4 solos. Calling out perks, the killer, locations, etc means very little to me because with any sort of game sense you can find out yourself almost just as easily.
When I'm saying bad swf, I'm not denying the existence of good swfs. I just think swf in itself means nothing, even in "higher mmr" (as if it means something) and people use it as a crutch a lot on here, reddit, elsewhere as copium for their own mistakes they made during the match. Am I saying that's always going to be the case? Of course not. If I'm running a randomizer build that leaves me with lightbore, bloodhound, beast of prey and monstrous shrine against a stacked team (swf or solo mind you), of course it's going to seem unbalanced and hard. I'm a firm believer in nearly no match is inherently unwinnable when you first load in. If there is then it's clearly a matchmaking issue to me
Which brings me back to Edgar's original post - it's all relative. I could go against a team that I struggle with, while knightlight wouldn't even blink an eye on. A team I find to be an easy match might be really difficult to another user on these forms.
And it goes across laterally too, right? A team that I can easily beat on a killer I've grinded for a massive amount of hours on, like huntress, who I don't run with any slowdown, I might struggle to win with someone I'm not good at, like spirit even if I run a slowdown perk or stack them.
On a tangent on relativity, I don't think I'm that great of a player, I think I'm boosted beyond belief - if I look at my gameplay side by side to someone like Ralph, coconut, rayoxium I feel like I'm absolutely ######### at the game. I'd never catch up either - Ralph has over 6k hours on huntress alone, in 6k hours I'd still be far behind him because he'd be thousands of hours more ahead of me.
A lot of people say that whoever brings the best stuff wins - builds, items/add-ons, killer add-ons etc. I think it's a bit more simple than that - I think it's who is the most prepared. Which, to me, accounts for that, but also specifically how people play too.
Bringing up ray/Ralph and I'd even goes as far to say dowsey or tru3, because they have done scrims and went against comp players - you'll see them struggle a lot of times. It's because they don't play on the macro level in pubs, and they play how they normally do, which doesn't work on a team that's completely macro oriented. Which I also think is a complete outlier in the first place because comp players aren't usually even playing in pubs like that. They also struggle since It's almost a different game and they aren't prepared for matches like that.
Tldr, Swf or solo means almost nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's matchmaking. It's your skill, experience and gameplay (ie macro, game sense, etc), etc matter more on both sides.

Lol 10% of games are good swf?
Not remotely, it’s way more than that, and no good is not synonymous with a comp squad, just good. You don’t need to be that good to meet the requirements when the bar is so low.
Also the difference in these games is the survivors losing because they played bad, as the side who plays bad should. That game the killer loses wasn’t playing bad, just bad balance.
One of these scenarios a side has agency and the other does not. You should be balancing so both sides have agency, which is what you’re arguing against.
Not remotely, it’s way more than that,
Most swfs are bad, and most players of this game are bad in general. For the record I agree completely with what edgarpoop said before me. It's all relative though and the overall experience of the game is subjective.
Also the difference in these games is the survivors losing because they played bad, as the side who plays bad should. That game the killer loses wasn’t playing bad, just bad balance.
I'm confused what you are trying to get at here, are you saying killers never lose because they are bad? Just because of bad balance? Or are you referring to only the op's examples?
-
I am probably not the average killer but I find killer cathartic and what I use to destress from other things. It's stressful but that's why I play it because it keeps my mind off other things/life. But in general, I'm a very anxious/depressed person and I don't know if what works for me will work for you or anyone, but it works for me. I'm also going to give a caveat of 99% of the time I have the mindset of I don't care of the outcome of the match - I win the majority of my games, regardless of that mindset, and I had to personally learn to get into this mindset.
But as far as anxiety goes, I used to be very anxious playing, most in the lobby or while waiting. I really doubt myself and my ability at the game sometimes and that gets me anxious especially if I know I'm going against a ttv or something. But I think it's just a mindset you need to have - you aren't going to win every match, my opponents may win, you may not play your best, they may lose. If something tilts you, try laughing it off instead or saying like 'wow, david, good play' instead of getting angry. I know that's easier said than done, right? (That being said I love hitting a survivor with a quick nodders sometimes if they bm me and they go down easily).
I think another thing to keep in mind is just try not to let things that happen or other players live in your head rent free. It's another thing that is easier said than done but no matter what happens, most people are just going hit that next button - they aren't gonna be thinking 'man, dude stacked 4 gen perks, and I got facecamped how annoying' for the rest of your day after the match. I'm guilty of that sometimes though, as well as over thinking things like "hell, I should have done x y and z that match and I coulda won or I could have played much better" while I'm falling asleep. It's also important, on that topic, to realize no one ever plays perfectly. No one. No matter what people love to say (like when people say 'I played perfectly but the survivors still got a 4 out!! ugh!!'), there will always be a things that could have been done better or different decisions could have been made. It's good to keep in mind your mistakes, just don't dwell on them.
At the end of the day, it's a game - you should be playing to have fun - if you start feeling anxious and burnt out (I combine these because anxiety is like the first sign for me personally of me being burnt out of the game) - take a break. The game will be there when you get back and it will feel more fun and you'll feel refreshed.
You could also try going some stuff like alternating survivor/killer, like first playing survivor, and waiting till you can see their build, then playing that same killer you just faced with their build and addons and then repeat. I think it's a fun thing to do (and used to do it when I played more survivor before my various breaks) and kinda gets you outside of your comfort builds/killers and keeps you on your tippy toes, and if you are one of those people who find survivor more chill it's a good way to destress and take breaks so you don't feel burnt out or anything. I also like to hit up the dbd randomizer every so often too - I personally find it a blast to do and kinda helps getting in the mindset of 'who cares if I win or lose?'.
I hope you or anyone else reading this finds this helpful, and good luck on your games :) Sorry for the block of text and sorry if I rambled, I'm really tired hehe

4th year anniversary, my first major event. When I was still discovering the game, and it was the biggest blast and spoiled with all the cakes. That said, killer was the most peak fun for me summer-winter 2021 when I was unemployeed and started to learn billy and huntress and played for hours and grinded the hell out of them/the game in general. I know it sounds corny but dbd legit kept me sane and gave me something to work for while I had nothing.

I want more shirtless skins. Shirtless jeff when? Jonah? Mikey? We got a little taste of shirtless felix. Not even trolling, I'll buy every single one.

Breakdown is great, even in solo q. I've gotten clutch solo team escapes in endgame because my breakdown made the killer not be able to hook them on what would have been a hook trade Some matches I never got true value out of it. I think I more or less took it off because I'd rather run a perk I get value out of every match, rather than a perk where I sometimes get value out of. I do like the aura reading though.
-
From a killer main who plays both sides (ratio varys from season to season, right now 90/10, used to be 50/50), I'm struggling to motivate myself to play survivor because I find it mostly unfun (was even moreso with the last meta) - but bp incentives talk, and so do dailies and tome challenges (which, I currently have none, every survivor tome challenge is done). But survivor isn't something I like to grind more than a few matches before I switch over or stop playing for the day.

No, I don't think I will.

with coh you only need 8 seconds to heal (minimum shift w chasing in field takes m1 killer 30 seconds)
if earlier killers could negate quick healing with the help of perks on generators, now they are gone
What's your point? I can run we'll make it right now and get a heel off in 8 seconds at unhook. The new circle of healing will require me or a teammate to set up a boon, for someone in my team to be injured, to get the bonus speed of the boon, to travel to the boon along with someone else to even get that healing bonus. I think this perk will be niche and situational at best now, just like every other boom and I'm not even sure buffing the numbers for the ptb will see much use outside heal builds.

Just washed to put a n my +1 for this update. Huuuuge thank you for listening to the billy feedback because double engravings nerfs would have decimated his fun completely. I still think the DH rework was fine before this nerf, but I'm not going to complain about this change either. Good changes on COH and medkits too. This is gonna be an awesome patch!

Head on is the only exhaustion perk I respect, so I would be devastated if it got the boot.
Knockout on the other hand has a sole purpose of being anti-solo q, so it should get the boot.

Especially with Discord being on Xbox and Playstation.
Yep. Not to mention the globe could easily not be consoles as well, and be epic or windows store.

Possible but very rare.
How do you know it's "very rare"? I would wager it's probably incredibly common.

Does anybody know when this goes live? I now have DBD and MYM on my PS5, but the Meg cosmetic doesn’t seem to be automatically appearing anywhere.
I pre-ordered on steam and I launched it about 10 minutes ago and it gave me all the cosmetics. But I don't know if there was something you need to do on console other than just restart the game

Idk, I had 7 spirits on Saturday, so I can't relate. But anecdotal evidence means nothing whether or not her pickrate dropped or not. We, as a singular person, only see what we play and forget there's hundreds of thousands of matches played in a day, month, quarter, etc. We need official stats of pickrates to even know.

Huntress feels bad without oak haft for me, it's basically base kit for me. I switch between shiny pin and one of the more hatchet add-ons, but I like shiny pin more.
I don't really main wraith anymore, but I play him occasionally, but serpent and swift hunts were my go to
Billy was double engravings.. guess we'll see what happens soon with that.

Wraith to me has always been a sort of sleeper pick, hes much stronger than people give him credit because he can deal with basically any situation and is not necessarily lacking in any department
To me the only things Id change is the speed burst revert, and give him some form of Shadow Dance base kit since it usually finds it self in at least one of the add on slots
I agree with you honestly quite a bit on things, and this is no different. I mained him for quite some time when I first started actually playing killer, and do love a bing bong every now and then, and I do think he's a lot of fun (despite me being burnt out from him) and I really don't think he's as weak as a lot of people say. He's also the perfect beginner killer, other than legion, because his power is so simple and it teaches you the core mechanics of the game.
I actually don't think the speed burst really changed anything, there are some cases that actually made a difference but I feel like most of the time, at least for me, I would have gone the hit regardless. I'm also not opposed to shadow dance being base kit or anything, but I think what I'd like to see the most would be his faster cloaks or uncloak add-ons, maybe the low tier ones at least, be in his kit base kit.

I didn’t either.
I got some about Nurse though, did you?
I got nurse as well but what I really wanted to see was blight on there. So I made comments on that too at the end.

I like it but it really stresses me out that it's 1 shard because everything else you gain or use shards for is completely even

And yet soloQ survivors are able to beat legion and plague.
Seems like they are able to repair generators while being injured.
Yeah, good survivors don't care if they are injured. Casual players and bad survivors will be decimated, who are the players that should be healing against legion or cleansing against plague.

If they merged with epic they could be high prestige with low steam hour count.
But you support a report here -> https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and have their information still you can report it that way and just put it under exploits and they can determine if that is the case.
-
Yeah between ######### up my muscle memory with the charge time, and nerfing the speed by 10% I don't think I will ever play him again if it makes it to live. Oh well.

efficient genrushing ia ez as possible even more with newer perks...even bad looping with predrops and windows of opportunity and holding w gives ample time and at the end of it all 3 people on gens 1 in chase is ez mode...killer is a lot harder u have to juggle time more efficiently
do u listen to music while playing killer?
"do u listen to music while playing killer?"
Yes. It's really not that weird. And most times even if I wasn't I'm talking to my friends on discord that are louder and more obnoxious than music. If I really have to focus on sound I deafen on discord, mute music.

I got all them in completed a few months ago. I got the ones that people struggle with mostly completely on accident - like the Disturbed Ward one or escaping when you're the last survivor and complete the last gen. Most achievements I just got naturally playing the game but there were some that I had to grind for. I struggled so hard with the RPD one... that it was absolutely miserable to do.
Likewise, the achievements with the Killers I really hate. Like the Michael Myers achievement with tiering up 300 times, even though you can get about 4 to 6 per match easily just took forever and I really think he's so incredibly boring so I could never like grind it either without feeling burnt out after like two matches.
I ended up just farming for the skull merchant one, which I think is the only one I actually ever cheesed, and got it done in a couple matches and I'm incredibly glad to never ever ever ever ever ever touch her again.
I wish you and everyone else look on their journeys!!

As someone who was bullied through school and college, I really resent the term bully squad and use of bullying in terms of in game mechanics/use of perks, etc. There are literal examples of bullying - like, blackface bubbas bullying/targeting black content creators/characters, but flashlight squads, tbags, sabo squads, genrushers, etc are NOT bullying. And is not comparable in any way shape or form.
