  • They haven't and won't ever ever ever be nerfed and it should be the other way around, bringing solo up to swf level and change killers accordingly.

  • I know the is bait and generic us vs them but tunneling and camping happen even if theres no tbsgging, bm, etc in a match, so..

  • @MegHasDirtyLegs said:

@OneGoodBoyDemo Nothing would change for you if you bring cake. You'll have as much cake as before, even more since this would encourage people to not hoard it.

@KingFieldShipper I could complain about gen rushing, camping and tunneling if you'd like. I don't understand the second part of your comment.

Let me clarify. If players 1-4 bring cake and player 5 doesn't. Players 1-4 would get 4 x 107% bonus BP for bringing cake. Player 5 gets none. Nothing else changes, just how the bonus is applied.

The motivation for this post was from a conversation I recently had with a couple of friends who used to play DBD. The anniversary event came up, it reminded us of all the obnoxious games we had during the past anniversary events. We can't be the only ones to notice an uptick of hackers and trolling during the anniversary events.

There is no negatives for people who plan to earn and use their cakes. It only negatively impacts players who plan to mooch off of other player's cake offerings.

To be blunt I don't think gen rushing, camping or tunneling are truly issues either. You just need to accept that you may be camped or tunneled when I you throw on bps or cake you really gotta learn to accept that the other side isn't obligated to play how you want or farm. It's still your gamble, it sucks but it's completely fair. And to be honest you are already taking this gamble, cakes or not. This game is completely rng, you don't know what to expect in the next match. Perk wise, play style, killer, etc.

  • What a weird thing to conplain about. It's fine. If you use it outside an event, especially outside a group, that's a gamble your taking yourself.

Gross misrepresentation of what I have been saying, hence cognitive dissonance.

I'm not Pulsar, obviously, but it's not even cognitive dissonance. Pulsar is pretty on point, but also goes beyond further than what he said. Nothing in game is comparable to bullying. I was bullied for years, much of my adolencent and teenage life in school. People saying flashy clicking, t-bagging, gen rushing, or generic "bully squad behavior", in addition to the other side saying camping/tunneling, etc is bullying completely trivilizes the meaning of what bullying is and what actually constitutes actual bullying, which is completely traumatic and often times unavoidable, especially when the bullying happens in schools, like mine was. Calling anything in game, other than, say, when people targeted black creators with blackface bubba, for instance, is not remotely close to bullying, and to say otherwise IS cognitive dissonance on what it actually means to be bullied and what bullying actually IS.

If I had to guess this Thursday or Friday they drop the news for the PTB next Tuesday.

They do not reveal anything for the ptb or anniversary event itself until the anniversary stream, in which the anniversary chapter will be revealed and ptb will be released. Don't get your hopes up for news to drop like this suddenly over twitter. The earliest id suspect a ptb is may 30th.

That said I think it is concerning they haven't even announced the date of the stream. I feel like I remember 5th and 6 year anniversary stream dates being announced like a month before the actual stream

Actually the number of flashbangs and mines alone makes it worthwhile. That and the look of the survivor who doesn't understand what's happening. Priceless.

Idk, so just baby survivors? If survivors continually do it and not realize you have it, they really aren't good survivors.

I kinda laugh when they dont hit because of lightborn and when I don't see the light thin I go back on generators full time and stop using it at chase (which using them in chase is a detriment), and just stop going for flashbangs or blast mines.

  • Feels like bhvr would have made a Twitter post or something that it's intentional.

Can't wait to finally go back to Linux full time though, so this makes me happy

  • Bp add-ons are meme add-ons though? No one who runs these add-ons are going to play sweaty and most of them have massive downsides. And it's not extra bp, they are still limited to the caps which they'd get to more than likely playing normally.

That being said the bp bonuses for medkits add-ons should go back, no reason for them to have been removedm

  • Escaping less on average as survivor, because matchmaking is either pairing me with killers I can't handle, because I'm boosted, or ones I can and my teammates can't. No in-between compared to right before the patch.

4king just as much and in general getting worse survivors in my matches, where matchmaking already wasn't pairing me correctly

  • Vitorrio is a lot more attractive imo. David will always have a special place in my heart, but Vitorrio is S+ tier to me at the moment.

I think it is definitely something that can be taught, for example by pointing out the things they should pay attention to and explaining the thought processes that go into the decision making of what to do next.

I don't know is agree. I agree that what you said are parts of game sense, but it's all relative to your current match, and telling someone to look out for that isn't game sense building.

Like let's take an example - end game face camping so a killer tries to secure a kill. There's multiple pathways to forming a decision, right? If you're attempting to save alone and you're fine with a hook trade, does that killer have stbfl? It's almost so subtle during normal gameplay for people unfamiliar with it or timings.

"oh if the killer has 8 stacks it's near impossible because they will recover in X amount of time quicker" but only if you're not the obsession where they lose stacks is so loaded, and if you have dead hard active be sure to use it on time, and watch out for the bait. What's this mean to 300 hour joe schmoe who didn't even notice stbfl in chase. Game sense in general is something you build up over time, and too complicated to realistically ever teach someone because they need to experience something themselves to actually put into practice.

  • I don't know if it's realistically something you can ever "teach". You can't teach game sense, which people, including your teammates often lack, which is THE most important thing in the game.

  • I'm going to be real with you, let's look at DBD in this way:

    - you pay for a base game

    - you can pick and choose dlc you want or don't want, or all of them if you so choose. Same goes with skins.

    - you do NOT pay a monthly fee like an MMO. You buy the game you play it for free and however much you want

    - more importantly, a sole reason for a company to exist is to make money. This is the society we live in. The company has employees they need to pay. The artists who make the skins need to be paid. The way the game is made, the only actual revenue comes from dlc sales, and skin sales. Because there is no monthly fee to pay the game, they would actively lose money if they did not sell enough skins or dlc. At some point dlc sales for a specific chapter stagnate, because you can buy originals with shards and over time most people will have it do it just stops. So what's next? Skins, battle pass for skins (which by the way is a ONE TIME INVESTMENT)

Servers are very expensive, btw. And you need to buy multiple in each region you operate in. So realistically the only option other than to shut down the servers, effectively killing the game (they are not going back to p2p), or charging a monthly fee like some stupid MMO, which would effectively kill the game too. This is an objective truth.

  • No action IN GAME is toxic, outside of post game chat.

That said, this community is toxic outside the game imo

  • It was the resident evil chapter that brought a lot of people back that came out a couple weeks before, in combination with the anniversary event that was going on that was extended until the 15th.

By the way, the 105k peak WAS the resident evil chapter. The averages reflect that.

  • Their dodging AI is essentially how Zelda II enemies work because it tracks your input and knows where to safely move to.

It definitely needs to go because when you are against real survivors that dodge you typically have to read their jukes, but you can't do that with the bots, it's a very unrealistic experience for sure.

I'm a console huntress main and every update they seem to just make it hard and hard to to have fun. Normally when I play her I throw on a bunch of aura perks and just run around going for shots don't care if I win or lose as long as I get some nice shots it was a good match. But the last 2 map rework and last few maps are absolutely atrocious for huntress. There's so much bs spread throughout the maps at chest level that 90% I'm a 110 m1 killer because I can't throw a hatchet because there's something there everytime. If it's not that then the hitboxes extend way over the actual object. So they seem to be pushing for only been able to hit survivors in animation locks because that's not fun.

    Rant over.

Yeah I'm with you 100%. I'm not even console and I literally just throw or a perks on and you go for a hatchets. And pain res if I'm feeling spiffy. The new map reworks are atrocious, and the other day when I played I had indoor maps three times in a row then the new reworked maps with the stupid new bloxkers four times in a row, was absolutely painful.

    @LuthirFontaine said:

Idk huntress already throwing logs at us and you want the maps to give her more los to do it ?

So the hit boxes are a result of both how survivor hitboxes are shaped, butbmainly latency. As a huntress mean even I think that the hit boxes are BS sometimes and sometimes I think myself wow that really shouldn't have hit. But that being said she is THE balanced killer of the game. Her kit, her add-onsz her counterplay - everything. She has a decent floor ceiling and skill floor, and has well defined counterplay.

But these blockers were completely unnecessary and really didn't help anything other than preventing trick shots that take away from her kit and skill ceiling. If you're a looping around a bush on red forest for instance, she was almost never going to aim her hatchet at you, because those weren't tiles she can throw over, she was just going m1 you anyways. This new tiles didn't change that, looping at close range, it essentially is just nerfing SOME long range hatchets which are HARD and completely skillful to pull off in the first place, which I don't even remember anyone ever even complaining about (this is DBD so I'm sure there are).

This is my take as well. I'm very jealous of the people who get comp level survivors every match, assuming they aren't exaggerating, which they probably are.

  • You should only 360 as an absolute last resort tbh it's not that good or important to learn. And it's not that great of a skill because really only buys at most like 2 seconds and on top of that it doesn't really work wellvon good killers. Don't stop trying of course but just keep that in the back of your head that people who do montages or comps only show when it actually works which could be games and games apart

Living in the same matchmaking region as Huntress players like Ralph, CoconutRTS, and Umbra is pure pain at times.

I haven't ever got matched with umbra, but I feel like I'm never prepared when I get matched with coco/ralph. The first time I ever did was... quite a shock to be honest.

  • I think knightlight is one of the better OVERALL killers in the game.

If we are disregarding comp players already listed here, and just overall good pub nurses, teejuana is a good nurse.

I think Ralph is the best huntress out there. I don't think he cares enough to go on streaks tho, if that matters in the criteria here.

So i'll be eagerly awaiting the nerf to survivors then, as Hens and his team have massive win streaks too.

Which is majorly a matchmaking issue, not a balance issue. I don't mean this to read that survivor doesn't have busted things, mind you.

But also, edit: I hope you think I don't think winstreaks on survivor shoudl be possible either. Of course they shouldn't.

I agree with some of your points, but a couple of things aren’t true: camping/tunneling IS effective against good teams, and good players do predrop because everyone else is slamming gens.

Your last point re: predropping may be the first thing I've ever agreed with you completely about.

If that is the case, then based on the data, blight is fine, because for average players he has a 57% kill rate and they balance for 60%. You can disagree with the 60% if you want, but that's what devs are balancing around, and so based on that metric, he is balanced and probably slightly underpowered.

If you are balancing for low level players while keeping high level in mind, you can't nerf blight, because his problem is he is hard to play. So there isn't any meaningful nerf you can do to nerf him in the high level while not nerfing low level, except maybe hug tech? But that would actually heavily hurt low level play as well because the main reason hug tech is still there is because he would bounce off of tons of stuff like crazy, so you would heavily hurt the low level players as well.

This is all just conjecture though, we do not get the full stats. What matters is kill rate for ACCURATELY matched matches (no backfill and whethever range that is originally intended), per MMR bracket (whatever arbitrarily is defining low, medium, high), broken down per addons, which specifically is data they cant package into a nice little graph on twitter about. Only then can we meaningfully talk about about buffs or nerfs.

That said, any person should look at a 1k win streak and be like, "woah, this shouldn't be possible", regardless of balancing at average or high play, which is precisely why top play needs be kept in mind. Using your example - say they came out tomorrow that says blight with alch ring + c33 (for example) are severely underperforming with a kill rate of 37%, but are over performing with 88.69% kill rate in high mmr, the answer would be to change the addons regardless, no? Change doesn't even mean like "okay, the issue in average mmr is that survivors just aren't hindered enough, they are slowed down by 10% instead of 3%!". This is what I mean with keeping in mind the high mmr when considering balance.

But the true is reverse as well. Let's say all killers buffed and bridge the gap and we achieve a 60% kill rate, on the dot, across the entire cast in high mmr brackets. It would absolutely decimate the majority of the population playing the game because there are very little people in high mmr and those kill rates will shoot up massively. People will stop playing.

    @HugTechLover said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3409897#Comment_3409897

Ok but the only reason the streak went that high, is because of how strong tunneling and slugging is. Is blight the root of the problem? Or hard tunneling? It would absolutely not be possible to get a streak that high without using those methods.

Multiple things can be true at once. I think blight basekit absolutely is fine. Wouldn't touch it, perfectly balanced. He has problematic addons imo, but that's not the point here. I also think tunneling is a problem too. I'm really not sure where I thought otherwise. But there is an obvious discrepancy of current anti-tunnel in the game (ie OTR/DS) of the top 3 as compared to someone like clown or trapper, and no one is going on 1k win streaks with tunneling, slugging, etc with killers like those strats.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3409841#Comment_3409841

    My opinion is quite simple.

If the devs want this to be a competitive game where esports potentially is a thing, tournaments, ranking systems that matter etc. Then obviously you need to balance around the best of the best players.

If the devs want this game to be a casual "goof around with friends a bit" party game, then you balance around average players.

The biggest problem is DBD seems like it does neither. They obviously don't balance around top level players or 1k win streaks would never be possible. And they don't balance around the "goof around with your friends" because there is so much toxic ######### that you can do in this game "AS BOTH SIDES" that make the game super unfun for other people. Additionally, often times, the most effective way to WIN the game, is to actually play in the least fun way possible. If this was a party game, they would figure out what is fun and double down on that.

I personally am biased towards the top of the top players for several reasons:

    1. If the game is not balanced around the capabilities of the highest level players, then the high level players will bully the low level players (even with matchmaking) and eventually the game will die off.
    2. If the game is unbalanced at the highest level, there is nothing to strive for, and the game will eventually die off. It may take a long time, but it will happen. Imagine if chess was balanced in way that, at the lowest levels of play, the game is balanced 50/50, but at the highest level, white wins 70% of the games. Do you think chess would be as big of a deal today still?
    3. The top players are able to push the game to the limits, and often times beyond. Allowing you to see what is possible, making it actually easier to make balance decisions with them in mind.

That isn't to say that you completely IGNORE the low level players. But i say, you balance FOR and AROUND the high level players, while keeping in mind low level players exist. I think this video sums it up very well IMO when talking about TF2 and the" BASE JUMPER" item:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1p42KtZOCw&t=203s

The whole video is a good watch, but the timestamped bit shows exactly what i'm talking about.

    For example, in DBD:

    • Look at some of the crazy, jungle gym, into crazy main building with multiple god pallets and god windows, into killer shack, into another jungle gym, loops that good survivors can use to waste several minutes of a killers time, meanwhile the rest of their team is doing all the gens. It is so bad on some maps that you literally just don't chase survivors around entire sections of a map because doing so would mean you automatically lose.
    • But now look at low level players, they predrop god pallets, wasting them, then get hit through them anyway.
    • What if we nerfed those god loops and crazy main buildings? Is that going to actually hurt low level players? Not really, because they aren't abusing those structures to their fullest potential anyway.

The types of changes they keep making are things that actually hurt low level players, or buff top tier survivors like the healing changes, when there are obviously plenty of things they can do to make the game more fair for all skill levels. Camping is another thing they could address. It really only works against low level and solo queue survivors because they can't communicate and deal with it. But the SWF kill squads don't really care. So why not remove camping as a strategy because you are only going to be helping low level players, and you won't really be hurting top tier killers because they aren't getting much use out of it anyway.

Thanks for clarifying. I don't really agree with everything you have put down, but thanks for elaborating, pretty concisely, your position.

I don't have much longer of a break at work since it's crunch time but the gist of my thoughts is completely opposite to you - that you need to balance around average/low level play, with keeping in mind the high level play exists - meaning it's fine for nurse/blight/spirit to be strong but you can't go on 1k winstreaks.

I actually think a lot of your points are strictly a matchmaking and/or map issue and not even a balance issue (ie of perks and role), and that most issues would be solved by making maps smaller, and having a stricter matchmaking system. At the very least, it being an option. I think there is a sweet spot between waiting 2 hours in a queue and a match being found immediately that is completely inaccurate because you are in a backfill lobby, but we clearly aren't there, nor should I be thrown into lobbies of people who have absolutely no chance to deal with me.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3409591#Comment_3409591

My god your bias is showing so hard. So we should ONLY balance the game around SOLO survivors, and ALSO the top tier killers?

Take a look at the kill rates again:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/350586/stats-kill-rate-by-killer-and-mmr-september-2022

Devs have stated they balance around 60% kill rate. If you look at AVERAGE MMR, you'll see that blight is at 57% kill rate, which is slightly UNDERPOWERED from 60%, but i'd say +/- 3% is well within the range of normal. If you look at the top MMR, his kill rate is still only around 61% which isn't much different. Still within the range of balanced based on their stats.

Devs have also stated that SWF does not impact the stats very much (i don't believe them personally) but the point still stands that they claim the difference is very little between them.

    So again, i ask you.

Do we balance around AVERAGE players, or HIGH MMR players. If we balance around HIGH MMR players, there are for more nerfs they need to do with survivors as a whole, while also nerfing blight and nurse.

I'm not who you are replying to be re:

Do we balance around AVERAGE players, or HIGH MMR players. If we balance around HIGH MMR players, there are for more nerfs they need to do with survivors as a whole, while also nerfing blight and nurse.

What are your thoughts? I want to know your stance because I feel like I see you constantly switching positions (to reiterate, this is just how I feel your posts come across or read to me, and not saying you ever said this directly, because I feel like they are worded ambiguously) where sometimes I feel like you are advocating balancing around high mmr/high play, but other times, like now, I'm reading this as if you are trying to argue for the balance of low/average play. This is an assumption, which you know what they say about them, but I'm just going to ask directly, what are your thoughts. How do you want this game to be balanced?

  • Hated this map. Hated it as killer, hated it as survivor, glad it's gone and I really hope it never ever does come back.

  • @KenwanObinobi said:

MMR is hard locked, you cannot go down once you have reached 1600 MMR. So once you hit high MMR you are stuck there.

It's not hard locked, it's just harder to lose mmr. And the chances that you, or most people on here, is at the soft cap here are incredibly slim.

This is the new CoB :

And this is the new Overcharge :

This is the new PR :

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9ZRLGGWY4GU3/image.png

This is also a massive nerf and PR is kinda useless now. (- 65% and it only works 4 times, if you catch all 4 survivors)

(patch notes are here - https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/14960171211028-6-7-0-Mid-Chapter)

I'm sorry, who here was claiming that they were too strong post-nerf? Not trying to troll, I just don't remember offhand seeing people saying that in this thread, or anywhere for that matter.

That being said, PR definitely isn't weak or useless. It's still strong. 25% is nothing to scoff at, and even if you only got 3 people and didn't even get your 4th token used up, thats still a considerable amount of regression that you caused for not kicking a single generator, and even if you got all 4 stacks used up, you regressed up to a total of 1 generator and are probably winning in the first place.

  • @DBD78 said:

Corrupt is probably stronger on all killers except Hag and perhaps Myers. If you are running an aura build then Lethal would make sense otherwise it's too weak.

Can you clarify what you mean corrupt isn't strong on hag? Because she (and trapper) benefits from corrupt maybe the most.

  • Sprint burst has always been more annoying than DH, even for distance, ever was for me. I personally think it's stronger and wastes more time, especially with a team of 4 who manages it well.

I hate perks that are inherently anti solo queue, which are basically all the blindness perks plus knockout. They exist only to screw over solo queue players. If something that disproportionately affects only solo q or new players it shouldn't exist, at all.

  • So I'm not sure if there's anything you can do with the skull merchant on both sides with her kit right now, I think she needs a complete rework. I don't think giving her fewer drones and stuff is gonna make her fun.

If we're talking strictly add-ons, blight needs several add-ons looked at to tune down, and slinger needs add-ons that don't feel worthless.

I actually think Myers add-ons are mostly fine. He needs some add-ons to become basekit (stalk speed, movement while stalking, longer t3, for instance) and for any meaningful buff he can get outside of that, like upping the stalk limit, or having no limit, the tombstones absolutely need to go. I wouldn't say any of the mirrors are good, fun maybe but good against good survivors.. not at all.

To be honest with you I'm not the best person to ask because I think most killers are boring to play, but I want to see complete reworks of the knight and skull merchant so they actually have more fun mechanics.

  • Sprint Burst

    Fearmongerer, and all blindness perks

  • you are guaranteed value of corrupt no matter what, you aren't guaranteed value from lethal nor is it guaranteed it will result in a quick first chase. Even if they wait out corrupt, or you didn't get a down from corrupt they either wasted their time (and you can generally tell if they are going to wait it out and head to your corrupted gens), or they all moved away from where they spawned which to me is the purpose. I also don't really put them in the same category and they certainly are not mutually exclusive and I run both on a variety of killers.

Well, what happens if the entire team in valorant as an example has no mics? EXACTLY. Nothing happens, the game continues just fine because you know why? Riot actually cares enough about its playerbase to implement a ping system that works just fine for those who don't have a mic/don't use a mic or opt out of using VC entirely.

Not to mention that even the mobile version of DBD has a ping system whereas the main game is still stuck in the 90s.

Right, I agree, so the answer is to implement a ping system - not built in comms.

  • I was actually going post on the forms of the same question if something was up with MMR but I have a completely opposite experience. I feel like my huntress MMR got reset to zero.

She's my main, and I played her almost 6 hours last night non stop and the majority of my matches were with complete baby survivors. I don't mean baby relative to my skill level - don't get me wrong I am not going pretend I am the highest MMR there is, not that it means anything, but the matches were completely different from the last time I played. I mean like baby, as in just started an hour ago. One team was PC and I had asked how many hours they had and they said they were brand new to the game.

Usually it's kind of not great at matching me with people, and I do get babies every so often, but last night was the first time ever it consistently happened. I didn't even get a team that felt like they knew what they were doing 3 hours into my session. It's exhausting and unfun, and was probably even more unfun for them. And more importantly I'm really hoping I didn't even scare them off of the game.

Are those games really completely balanced around voice chat in that anyone that doesn’t use voice is actually at a vast disadvantage? Because that’s what you were asking for..

as I said, an optional setting for it which doesn’t influence the balance, sure. No problem.

and yes language barrier is an actual thing outside of the USA servers maybe.

No the language barrier exists here too, probably less so than the European agent servers though. If most of my in-game chats are to be believed, most of my team and who I get matched with are in Mexico and South America (especially Brazil?) and I don't speak a lick of Spanish or portugese, for instance.

Valorant, Overwatch, Phasmo... a lot of other games, you name it, that have voice chat and none of the factors that you mentioned really are that much of a problem and the majority of people still use it.

Language barrier? Again, other games handle that pretty well and the majority of the servers people are playing on share the same level of basic English.

Not wanting to speak with randoms? Turn VC off and play the game like you did before.

Toxicity? Very much present in any other game.

Lack of hardware? If you don't have a mic, you can still listen to your team's callouts.

You can opt out of it, but at least you would have the choice, as in any other games with VC.

It's all about OPTIONS and whether or not you make use out of it depends solely on your decision.

"Lack of hardware? If you don't have a mic, you can still listen to your team's callouts."

Then you can't balance around it. What if the entire team had no mics?

And I keep saying this and I keep getting ignored by everyone when I do so whatever but this is also completely platform dependent too, because Nintendo would never ever ever ever allow third-party comms, or comms in general. And people do play the switch version. And they're going to be left out of further disadvantage because they can't do this or listen, so I could never be balanced around having comms if stuff like this was added.

My killers cover a wide range of the MMR (I'm not sure how high I've been but I'm guessing the above 10k hours teams I've versed with my Nurse were pretty high) and the only place I've seen no DH in a match was on the lower MMRs (e.g. my Trapper or my Onryo).

I know such teams exist of course, I just can't recall versing them before these last few days. (There has been a slight increase of teams using other exhaustion perks recently.)

I'm always interested in "new" tactics (from my point of view) so if you have details, I'm listening.

To be honest I'm fairly anti-exhaustion myself I started think they promote a boring place style, with the exception of head on, which is the only fun one. I hadn't run dead hard or any exhaustion perk for over a year and a half until 6.1 came out when I felt it became more essential - in which I use lithe or sprint burst. So essentially, my tactics personally haven't changed in that regards because I never used DH. I think I'm gonna bring flashies more often instead of medkits because going for flashlight saves are more fun anyways, and I took off exhaustion a few weeks ago. I'm a boosted ass survivor so I mean please don't take any survivor tactics from me lol. Also I don't even think survivor is that particularly fun so I don't really play it all THAT much either.

I'm going to be honest with you I don't play that many killers outside huntress because most of the cast of are so mind numbingly boring to play imo. The only killer I dabble in outside of her, not counting random ones for dailies, is slinger, but I assume she's my highest MMR, I win most of my matches on her and I have poured a considerable amount of time into her, and I truly didn't see dead hard EVERY match. Sorry not trying to discount your experience, it just personally isn't what I see. But you know time of day region MMR hidden etc etc :)

It's hilarious to see a bloodbath but it's also sad so many not able to cope without that perk.

I know they will though, within the next few days.

Possible, yes, but they are so powerful it has to be for a very special build or a specific function in a team.

a very special build or a specific function in a team.

Wdym? One of the absolute best survivors I ever went against was solo q hasn't used a perk since 2020 - dude has like 3k+ on power moves on the dbd leaderboard charts. I didn't see dead hard in every match, survivor or killer. It was certainly the most popular but it wasn't hardly the only one I ever saw

What you said is that there are a ton of things going on behind survivor decision making. I’m saying that you’re making it way more complicated than it is, which is why I also said that survivor is easy.

I think arguing about difficulty of a role is completely subjective, as this game is entirely subjective. Which is why I think any mention of difficultly is inherently baseless. Your experience is not mine, mine is not yours, and none of us globally has a similar experience at all.

I think this is a complicated game on a macro level, and I think you are still underrating effort, whether or not it's subconscious or not - you are actively making decisions constantly whether or not you are realizing it. It's fine if you don't agree, but I feel like you keep trying to trap me into a gotcha, and I feel like you keep putting words in my mouth and arguing when I'm not even trying to argue with you.

I play survivor. I was off from work the other day and played for around 8 hours, only dying 4 times. No matter how much you want you want to talk about game sense, survivor feels like autopilot in comparison to killer.

I never said you didn't play survivor, nor did I imply it, I said things factors in even if you think it doesn't, and again I wasn't discussing whether or not one side is easier than the other. I play both roles on autopilot, and I escape a lot of my solo q games, and win the majority of my killer games, so what? It doesn't disregard anything I said.

I get it but... if a Casual player starts to notice things then doesn't that mean that they aren't as casual... IMO

Cause I'm sitting at more then 1900 hours... I have made it to Red Rank 1 (before they changed it) and I don't consider myself a casual (I had a lot of time on my hands at one point)

So we have reached the point of agreeing to disagree to say the least

That's no problem. I didn't set out to convince you otherwise at all, and there really is nothing wrong with differing opinions, of course, but thanks for chatting regardless.

I’ll gladly answer: survivor doesn’t have to consider nearly as much as killer. Info like if a pallet has been dropped isn’t possible in solo q. Survivor often gets to dictate loops and can be completely safe at strong loops, depending on if they choose to be safe. DBD isn’t a complicated game overall, but playing killer is like brain surgery compared to survivor gameplay.

That's not even what I was asking about though, so it didn't answer it. The question wasn't even whether or not one side considered more than the other or what side is "easier", for one. The question was whether they thought that stuff had impact on survivor gameplay as well.

I really don't think we will ever be on the same page on anything regarding this game and I'm not trying to convince you either, but I really think you underrate things that happen with survivor in regards to a survivors decision making/game sense/etc influence on practically everything that happens in a match - whether or not you even realize it happens or not.
