I wouldn't say put ON since that'd be a tad broken. If they were going to do something LIKE that I'd recommend maybe that once a survivor is rescued from a hook it'll start to tick but I'm hardly the first to think of that.
-
It's rather funny honestly.... Survivors are looking at the point values and flocking to it. Survivor side I had multiple minute que times. Killer side was borderline instantaneous.
-
While I am a fan of discussions can we please take the time to only quote the part an individual said and not have this massive behemoth that constantly tags me for a conversation that it seems like I am no longer a part of.
On that note, to the people that liked my idea thanks ^_^ -
Killer main here myself though my face is dry. Honestly though I've got no issue with the idea of Vigil allowing it at a MUCH slower rate while running, but also as @TigerKirby215 said, people will only use it for the Exhaustion benefit and nothing else.Arroz said:You make laugh XDD, if killers main see this post they are just gonna cry..
With a name like Vigil I imagine it being something to promote a Flight or Fight response in a survivor, so perhaps rework it so that instead of healing faster from blind and mangled (since let's be honest the only real aggravating versions versions of those are permenant) let's have it also boost detection perks. Faster cooldown on Prem, longer range from Spine Chill, perhaps a SLIGHT increase to the aura detection time of Dark Sense and Alert. Have these in addition to the slow restoration of Exhaustion while running and I see it working just fine.
-
My only issue I've had with Trapper are the hitboxes for the traps themselves. How is it I can swing a machete in front of me and hit the survivor that's managed to get behind me but a survivor can walk through a pallet drop area with a trap smack dab in the middle, and by hugging the wall not get caught? I mean I'm not wanting the first example as a permenant thing but I seem to recall traps in confined spaces such as that catching people a LOT more consistently then they have since the Trapper/Hag update.
-
Amanda is a MUCH more extreme version of DC's Red Hood in that she doesn't feel like bad guys deserve a second chance and should all die, only after the last stint of hope is erased from them. In that sense she could TECHNICALLY be considered the most "good." I put extreme emphasis on the quotes in that statement.

Stake Out, Iron Will, Spin Chill, and Urban Evasion. I designed the build when Spirit came out as a means to somewhat counter what she did and be able to have some awareness to her. I was shocked to find out how well it works on other Killers as well.
The build works EXTREMELY well against Doctor who opps for massive TR. Yeah you'll scream a couple times from tiering up insanity, but you're basically going to have nothing but a steady stream of great skill checks since most Doctors just run around in treatment 24/7.
Weaknesses are Low TR people such as Myers, Wraith, and people that actually attempt Pig stealth as opposed to just running around everywhere. -
In all honesty with the current meta obtained with Prove Thy Self amongst other perks to be able to pump generators out at an obscene rate (see video of 9.8 seconds generator completion for details) Ruin genuinely isn't really doing much. Unlike Ruin though, you are not alerted right away that the killer has NOED.
If you manage to bang out the generators as fast as possible and instantly book it for the door, then it's your own fault if you're downed by NOED as you should have also spent the time assuming NOED a possibility.
Honestly the potential FOR NOED is something to slow the game down slightly since the team needs to be certain to get all five totems. It is HIGHLY possible for a team of survivors to do this even without the use of Small Game.
Call NOED a N00b perk if you'd like but honestly, unless things greatly change, NOED holds far more potential to slow a game down more then Ruin currently does, especially at red ranks. -
It's honestly funny. When I don't have Stake Out I can't hit greats to save my soul. When I HAVE Stake Out I hit them all day long and don't consume my charges lmfao.
-
Were you using a toolbox? That greatly increases your chances of getting a skill-check. Also Ruin is part of why I run Stake Out. Basically nullifies Ruin particularly on Meat Plant because you're generally going to be in the killer's terror radius a good chunk of the time due to the two floors.

@Arroz Noob3 posted a quick set of clips the other day on Twitter showing his inability to vault through the upper windows of houses the Preschool map.
-
Happened to me the other day too when I was playing Aura Pig on Leiry's.
-
I got Blood Lodge twice the other day and all my boxes were along and down one wall of the map lol.
-
@Master I think I saw that going across Twitter yesterday holy crap 0_o between 9-10 second gen completion.
-
It also seems to increase your ability to be stunned when you're in contact with a surface parallel to the pallet drop zone. For instance I was against a truck tailgate on Blood Lodge that had a pallet drop zone parallel to it and when the survivor dropped the pallet, I was stunned there too.
-
Must be lol. What killer were you playing? I was Pig
-
It can actually occur on any killer that has a limited time scoring event after using their ability. So Hag, Clown, Wraith, etc. I personally hate it due the framerate dropping it creates both survivor and killer sides. Thankfully killers can't see it though.
As for "super laggy doctors," there are a crap ton of particle effects in this game. The Doctor's static is just one of many. You tack that on with the new fog and weather on certain maps and you're going to get some people with non-optimal machines chugging a bit. Thankfully with the changes to dedicated servers this will HOPEFULLY lessen the issue as it will decrease the load on the host computer since it will no longer have to be the one running the match in addition to rendering the effects. -
@Poweas Big gloves?
-
I'm fairly certain they said that beyond the PTB they're not going to do any new exclusives between console and PC. That said if they DID do something, probably Frank West from Dead Rising.
-
Was unaware of that detail when I made that initial post. Honestly Howling Grounds was far worse Killer side then Hallowed Blight. Not because of how the event worked but because of certain bugs and choices the devs had decided to introduce at the same time. The double Nurse stun in addition to the ability to pallet slam or blind the killer at any point during the animation and force them to drop the survivor they were picking up. There was also a bug that allowed you to blind the killer pretty much directly behind them. Slugging was pretty much your only chance against these "Ghostbuster Squads."KillerRaccoon said:I’m pretty sure the Killer has to hook someone to activate the objective they need to collect... I think.
I’m not really sure how this event is gonna work. They should have just stuck with an idea like the Howling Grounds and Summer BBQ events. We all saw what a flop the Hallowed Blight was.
Hallowed Blight, for it's initial issues, was a LOT more forgiving and enjoyable both killer and survivor side for me. For killer, I didn't have to worry about teams that I allowed to farm up stuff just leaving the moment I was done allowing people to farm since the main objectives for the event were also no longer the main objectives for escape. Kinda why I had agreed with one part of this event's choice to have both survivor and killer event objectives to not be the main ones.
That said as a killer main myself, given the changes I've seen as these events have progressed, where once I as playing a survivor could expect at least some level of farming during a double bloodpoint event if three or more Blood Party Streamers were put into play, I've seen a massive shift in the mindset where this is not only not happening (which admittedly is the killer's choice whether or not to do), but this newer age of killers are actually relishing in the fact that they were the cause of making the survivors waste their add-ons even going so far as to openly mock the survivors in end game chat for this fact.
The hooking requirements for killers now leads back to the issue where the main objective for the event is once more the main objective for the match as both a main and secondary objective are required for getting the points. Truth be told, given the whole "deranking" debacle going on right now, I'm certain a lot of killers wouldn't mind losing rank if it meant getting their hands on coins more easily. That said that's and ENTIRELY different can of worms and I'm not touching it beyond mentioning the fact that it exists. -
As a killer the only time I will dodge lobbies are when survivors lock in with a red ping that doesn't change or if I've had multiple people enter my lobby and leave.
The first is because I dealt with a red ping person before and they were blinking better then anything the Nurse could do.
The second is because I constantly get the damned glitch where if a fair amount of people enter and leave my lobby it glitches out the game load in and crashes my game. This in turn consumes my add-ons and my offering. -
It exists already and it's your avatar lol >_<. The amount of people that try and shove a Pig off of hatch while wearing a lit RBT is ridiculous lol.
-
Wide sleeves?
-
@DemonDaddy more or less the point I was trying to make to the other guy.
-
-laughs- merely offering an opinion based on the facts before me and what I've observed of the events in the past based on people's behavior. No need for the mocking jeers that many on these forums seem to fall towards whenever someone offers an opinion you don't agree with.
Yes I'm being a tad of a negative nancy on this, and I'll wholly admit it. This is just my thoughts on the evidence I have thus far. Honestly I truly hope I'm wrong. It's one of my big hopes. I don't feel as though I am but I hope I am.
Attacking an individual and mocking them holds no real benefit to the discussion and in fact downplays any real arguement you attempt to make since in the end it appears as though you're only way to continue a discussion is with toxicity. I'm happy to talk to people about subjects that an individual and myself don't see eye to eye on. I like hearing the thoughts and opinions of others. Belittling said person though? No real point to it. -
...so tunneling is going to be worse then ever and same with DCs since they tied the Killer's ability to get coins to hooks.
A survivor DCs and the killer can't hook and thus can't get coins. Likewise a survivor is rescued, and then gets farmed and the killer gets two points instead of just 1.
This is continuing to ring off every warning bell inside my head. -
TECHNICALLY it's balanced, but not as a rare add-on. If they dumped the gen aura ultra rare add-on and replaced it with Frank's Mixed Tape I could see it being alright as is. That way they're harder to come by and are more expensive.
-
The difference though is that Pig would be doing REAL DAMAGE out of ambush with reduced STBFL cooldown where as Legion does chip damage. Since Pig can go no TR mode, it would be close to what Legion was like on the PTB with Deep Wounds on I jured survivors where the ambush would be guaranteed in a lot of cases and the killer could almost instantly recovery and attack again.
-
No... Good lord no... We have enough to deal with as killers when we have to deal with people on voice chat communicating. Allow two survivors to have total PoV of where the other is looking? No that won't be abused. NOT AT ALL...
-
Hatch: Crouch on top of it and watch them spend their last seconds alive trying to shove you off of it instead of attempting to save themselves by running to Jigsaw Boxes. Then watch as end game chat turns into the saltiest thing imaginable as the survivor will start demanding that Pig be made intangible to survivors when crouching. So OP.
Boxes: As they are now I agree it sucks when all the boxes spawn together. That said, from what I saw survivor side on the PTB the spread is quite nice. Still sucks though when the FIRST BOX someone goes to has the key in it...
Timer: I honestly see no issue in knowing what people's times are. Unlike Deep Wounds where the target is merely put into the Dying State, RBTs actually kill. Pigs that know which survivors are going to die due to RBTs are more prone to tunnel. Now if they wanted to rework Amanda's Secret and remove killer aura of Jigsaw Boxes but gave us the aura sense on removal AND timer reading I wouldn't say no. -
As a Pig main I would love it, but I feel if it did we would have a second Legion in terms of not being able to counter successfully chained attacks.
-
Yes and no. You gain stacks but the cooldown on hits isn't reduced.
-
I think one if their recent live streams they went into details about that. Don't recall which one though. ^_^
-
Oh heya @SirenwithanX lmfao
-
-chuckles- not to down play you, but if you think game forums will only ever hold nice, constructive criticism then you obviously weren't around for Vanilla WoW forums...
-
Honestly Legion is both just as weak and just as powerful as both parties that either enjoy or hate them claim.
From the bit I've seen it falls into two problems currently.
Problem 1.) Frank's Mixed Tape IS a balanced add-on, but not at Rare quality. When compared to killers with similiar add-ons you usually see effects like this for one of a Killer's two Ultra Rares.
Problem 2.) Moonwalkers are skewing the numbers. Since it has become a thing I think like only every fourth or fifth Legion I face off against has not used Moonwalking. All others I personally have face do. I genuinely feel as though that this is one of the major issues currently preventing Legion from receiving any major buffs or reworks because honestly Moonwalking DOES work. In regards to BHVR themselves it's a crap shoot when Survivors or Killers use mechanics in a way the devs didn't intend. The devs have been on the record in saying that if this continues to be the tactic, they will do something that prevents this from working, whatever that may be. When that happens, there is going to be an even longer length of time where the devs will watch the numbers and compare them to the Moonwalking period. At this point will be when we either get additional buffs on Legion or a full rework.
So in short, TLDR Legion is the Schrodinger's Cat of killers being simultaneously weak and strong at the same time. Frank's Mixed Tape needs to be an Ultra Rare and replace the stupid gen aura add-on, and Moonwalkers are going to eventually ruin Legion for a bit, though hopefully they'll emerge stronger st the end. -
I've said it a couple times on here, but being told I was only allowed to use NOED on a killer that has Frosty Eyes and that I have to wear that cosmetic to alert the survivors that I HAVE NOED so they can be sure to break all five totems before the last gen pops.

A movie studio with a bunch of different set up sets from different movies sprinkled throughout.
-
True. But what's to keep instant down slug builds from knocking down everyone, and leaving them to bleed out while the killer gathers the objectives at their leisure? Both sides are going to be at the other's throats even more so than the previous events.Attackfrog said:Same as generators, survivors can divide and conquer.

Enter Stage Right: Step through a dimensional doorway and exit through a locker that is within a set range.
-
Honestly? As it is currently don't use it... That's really a good chunk of the Pig's issues is that either half or over half of her add-ons are pointless.
-
Broken. It would promote a LOT of tunneling. It's not that difficult to keep track of who's had one on their heads for a while. Honestly I'd prefer a rework of the one that gives you aura reading of the person who just took a RBT off. Keep the Pig able to see Jigsaw Boxes, and then give the aura reading nd alert whenever a person takes the trap off. Make that then the Ultra Rare.
Either that or have new Rule Set 2 allow RBTs to respawn under the timer of what it takes sabotaged Trapper Traps or quicker to respawn at the location they were removed. -
Plus it's also not like a giant box with a white puppet perched on it is as hard to spot when compared to having to search for a dinky little totem.
-
I had Rule Set 2 with the Tampered Timer on with the streamer that was running circles that I mentioned above and he still managed to get the trap off.
-
Rule Set 2 isn't deadly. Tampered Timer is deadly. So are Jigsaw's Sketch and Crate of gears. But they are only deadly when the trap is active. If they aren't active then they do nothing. With survivors able to see Jigsaw boxes currently when the trap isn't active, most survivors are generally through half of the boxes by the time a gen pops if they haven't already gotten it off. Honestly most people view RBTs as a joke. Took on a streamer last night who literally ran in circles like 3-4 times before moving to the next Jigsaw box. I had Tampered Timer on and he STILL managed to get through all the boxes and not die (I know this because I watched the VoD after match). Rule Set 2 forces them to make a decision: wander aimlessly and look for Jigsaw boxes or complete a generator and activate their own trap.
-
Some combos that I use: Amanda's Letter and Video Cassette, Tampered Timer and Crate of Gears, Tampered Timer and Jigsaw's Anointed Plan, Jigsaw's Anointed Plan and Jigsaw's Sketch, Jigsaw's Anointed Plan and Crate of Gears, and any combination of Video Cassette, the one that gives extra RBT, and Face Mask.
Having that extra crouch and standing speed will help out a lot. I agree that a good chunk of her add-ons suck, but any length of time a survivor is working on a Jigsaw Box is less time they're working on Generators or Totems. -
It IS changed though because you're no longer required to have Combat Straps for that fast crouch speed. You can now use other add-ons for their benefits instead. Sure you're going to be .3 seconds slower than you were with previous Combat Straps, but by default it's farther. Combo that with the Video Cassette and it works wonders. Adds a fair amount more mind game potential and all in all works out a lot better, particularly at unsafe pallets and vaults.

@White_Owl said:
I thought the key was generated in a random box each time an RBT was used.Yeah NotQueen said in a podcast a while back that the box is picked the moment the RBT is put on someone's head. It changes for each RBT that gets put on people's heads.
-
Or at the very least have it decrease at a much slower rate inside the killer's terror radius so that way if Legion DOES moon walk it's going to take even longer then just smacking them per normal.SpacingLlamas said:My idea would be to have the mending timer to not decrease when in their terror radius and/or have so mending timer doesnt decrease right away after ending a chases for X amount of seconds. Maybe 5.

Yeah the entity bars for Bamboozle and multiple vaults have been bugging a lot lately. More often than not it's when people vault the haybale machines on the Rotten Fields maps.
