this is pretty much the experience I had when I went into one solo queue game as Jonathan Byers.

I main gremlin (Jonathan Byers) for the survivor side and miss piggy for the killer side
I usually play on pc 50% survivor and 50% killer now, I occasionally play on PSN and when I do I play bloodied Steve (since I wasn’t able to snatch Jonathan or any stranger things cosmetics on my PlayStation account before stranger things left) as survivor and pig as killer on psn.

Favorite: Pig, I’m a huge saw fanboy and Amanda is my second favorite character from the saw franchise (my favorite being Hoffman, I’m still hoping he comes to dbd in some way whether it be as the killer for a second saw chapter or a legendary pig mask skin for Amanda.), I love her power and the way she can put the reverse bear traps on the survivors heads as well as her ambush.
least favorite: Wraith, in my opinion he’s very boring and basic to play and has a generic power, I just don’t find him fun to play at all.

I was in a lobby yesterday with a p100 Dwight with a name something like "BhvrTestBot122".* I should have taken a screenshot but I immediately backed out instead.
*please don't accuse me of naming and shaming. This is not the actual name I saw, just basically the format.
Yeah I’m pretty sure they were cheating (which is what they most likely did) or they just grinded for it (unlikely), I think the reason they didn’t get p100 on Steve is cause they were trying to be funny with the 69 number.

While I don’t really care about being camped or tunneled while playing as Jonathan or Steve on survivor cause I usually die of laughter at the killer tunneling or facecamping me as they hit me while I’m on the hook, I really hope this thread is a joke.

The highest prestige I’ve seen so far is a prestige 69 Steve (don’t have screenshot wish I had taken it when I had the chance)

In the past few days, I grinded from ash to irisdescent on my killer with Doctor and Nurse with nearly no difficulty, since survivors rarely have counter-play except for gen rushing, and the latter is easy to break once you kill fast enough and know how to control your gens; on the contrary, I have rarely escaped the door when playing survivors since it has been dramastically more difficulty than half a year before when I quitted the game. Any suggestions on how to play survivor now (except swf) or you also think the game is fu*ked and poorly balanced now?
p.s. : in the past you needed to queue up and wait to play survivor while playing killer was always instant match, and now the situation is reversed, killer needs to queue up while survivor instant match
Solo queue isn’t playable, swf is semi-playable though.

So in short if the streamer’s, swf, and other good solo survivors can all still again escape even without deadhard, borrow, ds, ect.
I also know that camping and tunneling is again a problem but again in order to win as killer you have to tunnel and camp and I get that. I will also say that again camping and tunneling is not fun but both are necessary tools to help you as killer. I also know that facing that as survivor is equally annoying.
Basically all I’m saying is that again if all of those streamers and other survivors can escape then so can many other solo-que players. They can get better, they need to practice more and they will be fine. I know I again contradicted my words before but hey that’s just what I have to say on this matter again. I’m just really confused on these problems.
It’s mainly because survivors don’t like the patch, perk changes, dead hard change, think game is killer sided now etc.
Its understandable why solo queue survivors would do it since I tried solo queue as Jonathan and literally just could not, I always duo queue with my friend who plays Steve whenever I play survivor as Jonathan/Steve now (can’t play as Jeryl, scoops ahoy Jonathan or Steve with Jonathan’s jacket no more since they patched the cosmetic glitch), whenever I play killer (which is more than survivor now) I get survivors who dc a lot believe me.

Im definitely going to be playing my killer main Pig more instead of my survivor mains Jonathan/Steve, mainly cause they’re buffing killers by a lot.

John Kramer wouldn’t fit into dbd, Hoffman is the best choice for a legendary for Amanda.
as much as I like some of the other franchises on this list I’m a way bigger saw fan (saw is my second favorite horror franchise, stranger things being my favorite horror franchise), I remember some people even saying that Hoffman would have fit more as the killer than Amanda for the saw chapter, so it only makes sense for them to make Mark Hoffman a legendary skin for Amanda/The Pig.

I thought about the old running animation when a survivor is injured and thought of my main Jonathan Byers doing the animation while making his injured noises and laughed for a good minute or so.
I just don’t see the old movement animations coming back.

the saw chapter deserves more attention honestly, I know saw just had a tome but personally all I ask for is a pig mask mark Hoffman legendary skin for Amanda/Pig, they did James legendary skin for Cheryl, they can definitely do Hoffman for Amanda, the only problem I see with bhvr adding Hoffman as a legendary skin for Amanda is people glitching Hoffman’s head onto something like Amanda’s tome body and creating something like Jeryl, but other than that there will literally be no other problems, a tapp legendary skin like Eric Matthews or Adam Stanheight would be cool too.
But yeah Yoichi needs more cosmetics too, in fact a lot of the characters from the licensed chapters need cosmetics such as ANOES, Halloween etc. I want a legendary Billy Hargrove skin for Steve too but I don’t see it happening unless stranger things returns to dbd.

Not saying he gets played often, but I had him last 6 month more often then the entire 4 years befor that. As a demo main from day 1 im confused.
I will admit, even while playing as survivor as Steve/Jonathan (I’m one of the few people who main Jonathan) I still see lot of Demogorgon’s, I see demo a lot more than a decent amount of killers, definitely more than Amanda/pig, cause for some reason going against pig as survivor is the rarest thing for me despite her being my killer main and my favorite killer to go up against whenever I’m playing survivor, I see demogorgons more than at least a quarter of the killer roster, most of them don’t have cosmetics for demo (default demo) or are just p3 bloody demo, they either bought the stranger things dlc before it left but didn’t get to get any cosmetics or they just bought a key for stranger things dlc, but people are definitely playing demo more now, some are playing demo cause of S4 I believe

If death note gets into the game, I hope it gets into the game as an actual chapter and not just cosmetics like AOT, because I think death note would fit the atmosphere of dead by daylight honestly, if it were to get added the candidates to be the survivor for the chapter in my opinion would be L (most likely), Matsuda, Near/Nate River or Mello/Mihael Keehl, for killer for the death note chapter they have four options, Ryuk, Rem (these are the two most likely candidates to be the killer for the death note chapter imo), Light Yagami or Teru Mikami, Light or Mikami would have the killer alias “The Kira” if one of them gets added as a killer with the death note as their power for the chapter (Unpopular opinion but I can totally see Teru Mikami as a killer using the death note and the shinigami eyes as his power for a death note chapter in dbd, to surprise people like with the saw chapter reveal, like how people thought the killer was going to be Jigsaw/John Kramer or Mark Hoffman but ended up being Amanda instead.)

If I can include ideal Stranger Things skins, then For survivor I want Billy Hargrove as a legendary skin for Steve (Eddie deserves to be his own survivor if ST were to return to dbd and gets a part two chapter imo)
for killer I want a pig mask legendary Mark Hoffman skin for Amanda Young/The Pig from the saw chapter, bhvr did a James legendary skin for Cheryl which changes her gender completely, they can definitely do Hoffman for Amanda.

Because survivors straight up just don’t like going against nurse in general, especially a good one, Nurse in the hands of a very good player is the best killer in the game.

Gryphon is a cool character in for honor, loved the Y4S4 Griffin head piece he got in that year and season’s battle pass (I believe it’s supposed to be used on Gryphon cause it looks the best on him, but they made it where every character can use it) with the wings when you execute someone, emote or stood still for a bit.
But back to the point, Gryphon/Holden Cross just wouldn’t fit into dead by daylight as a killer, not at all, yeah his mori could be one of his cool executions he does in for honor with his weapon (a Bardiche), BHVR could possibly implement his kick, bash attack or one of his other moves (Ex: Side dodge attack) he does in For Honor into his power, but I just don’t think Gryphon/Holden Cross has the personality/perspective as some of the other killers to fit into dead by daylight as a killer, he just wouldn’t fit into dbd as a killer, Warmonger/Astrea or Hitokiri would fit into dead by daylight much more as a killer.

I mainly voted Shugoki as a joke, as he is/was my favorite for honor character when I played for honor a lot back in 2020, it would be hilarious seeing shugoki do the Demon’s Embrace on one of the survivors and pinning them before breaking their backs & the survivor just instantly goes into the dying state from The demons embrace, Shugoki would have to be slow though for it to be balanced, but shugoki will probably not get into dbd if for honor/Ubisoft does another collab with DBD/BHVR and BHVR decides to add a character from for honor into dbd as a killer, mainly cause we already have the oni/Kazan and Shugoki resembles him too much, also the fact that there are many big killers in dbd already (not that it’s a problem or anything)
The for honor characters that have the best chances of getting into dead by daylight as a KILLER (in my personal opinion) are Hitokiri, Warmonger and Raider, maybe conqueror or black prior too.
I can never see a for honor character get into dead by daylight as a survivor, it would just be so weird seeing someone like centurion in his armor doing gens, dropping pallets, vaulting windows, using a flashlight, getting into a locker, doing the dead hard animation etc, it would be even more stupid if centurion had a perk where he can punch or kick the killer like how he does in for honor with the other heroes/characters.

Would be interesting, I see Gi-hun, Hwang Jun-ho, or Sae-Byeok being the survivor, the killer would either be Cho Sang Woo, The Front Man/Hwang In-ho or Deok Su.
But until the Stranger things license comes back to DBD I don’t see this chapter happening.

They rarely do legendary skins for killers, the last legendary skins for killers we got was chatterer for pinhead I believe which was over more than half a year ago, before the chatterer came as a legendary skin for pinhead the last legendary skins we got for killers was the look see for doctor and the mordeo for huntress, which was all the way back in 2017 I believe, hell BHVR still hasn’t added a pig mask Mark Hoffman legendary skin for Amanda Young/The Pig, it might be awhile before we see another legendary skin for killers.

Yeah carnage is a way better fit than venom ngl, I only put venom in the poll cause of more people wanting venom than carnage in dbd (at least from what I’ve seen)

The entity let Jonathan keep his camera when he got transported into it’s realm and he often takes pictures of the realms in trials, he has also taken a picture of every survivor and killer.
Out of all the survivors besides Steve and Nancy, Jonathan gets along with Quentin the most.
Jonathan has been mistook for Daniel Matthews at least once by Amanda Young/The Pig.
When Jonathan escaped from the entity’s realm he kept his memories of his trials and the campfire.

I’m optimistic about them nerfing/reworking DH & NOED, cause now we won’t have to hear “nerf dead hard” everyday.
on the other hand I’m curious as to what they have in store for the other perks.

Whenever I’m playing as killer and I know a survivor is using dead hard I always respect their dead hard so they can waste it, but then there’s times survivors use auto dead hard or I hit them and hear the survivors downed screams but they don’t go down cause of hit validation, it can be annoying at times.
