I personally have never felt like I am in competition with my teammates. It’s often the opposite.
Example: If I go unhook a teammate and I realize they don’t have a medkit. And the killer is coming back so I can’t heal them. I will give them my medkit so they can go heal while I take the aggro.
The chests/totems for me have always been components of the match that are used as “tools” for everyone’s survival.
Simply put, I don’t care enough about those things you listed to feel like I am competing against another teammate. Even when I’m doing challenges for chests, I am happy if I get 2-3… and someone else wants to open others.

I was told the same and that other maps should be like Haddonfield. 😂

I mean, getting greedy is part of knowing how to use the perk. Good killers will call it out before it even happens, because they expect you to swing, and when you don't they are forced to drop the pallet, otherwise when you do swing they use that delay to get another loop out of it.
This is no different than when people are casually "walking" to try to bait a swing out of the killer, meanwhile they activate Sprint Burst to get away. It's much worse when they are in a safe location.

Idk where you're getting your information from but I don't think we're talking about the same add-on here
If they just got rid of that one add-on, she would be ok.

I've been wearing the pride charm and my matches have been normal. 😕
As in... dying on first hook because my random teammates left me to go to 2nd stage, chickened out last second to they couldn't make it in time.

Coming from a person with 50/50 hours. Yeah you spawning close to the killer (obviously not in his face but like 40 meters or so). Is fairer then the killer needing to run 30 seconds to find one person on red forest. Its a 4v1 game and the killers VERY timecrunched if its a decent spawn.
I don't understand how you playing 50/50 is relevant to the question I asked, because if anything playing 50/50 means you have more perspective and can see things from the other side and how messed up it is to spawn next to a Leatherface without a decent loop next to you.
The question is very simple. If a killer can spawn close to a survivor, then a survivor should be able to spawn at a decent distance from a generator. You forget that killers can always see generators so they aren't exactly empty handed at the beginning, survivors can't. Even when you spawn next to a gen there is still a question of "is this the best gen I can work on". Because if a killer has Corrupt, they'll know that's where you'll be.... if a killer has high mobility, there is a possibility they'll swing by before you even get to finish that gen.
So, not every killer is crunched for time. I play Trapper sometimes and I am not spending my first few seconds looking for someone, I like to trap at least 2-3 traps before I go out hunting for survivors, and even with a low map pressure killer like him I don't have this issue.
In essence what I am trying to say is... is Spawning always fair game? Absolutely not. Is it fair to say that you get bs spawns on either side, yes it is.

To be fair you spawning close to the killers kinda fair as the killer needs to get in chase and get their first down asap. Kinda why smaller maps are good.
So a killer spawning right next to a survivor is "fair" but a survivor spawning next to a gen or totem is not "fair"?
Am I to understand that this is how fairness works?
-
On the flip side, my experience has been that ever since the Legion chapter came out (you know when Discordance came out too) 95% of my matches has had me spawn next to at least 2 people. At least.
Like, to a point where I wondered why we even have spawn offerings or why we are just handing the killer a one area spawn without them having to search, because everyone is just THERE.
You also have spawns where the killer is right next to you "Oh hai there". If you are lucky enough to get a Bubba and in a dead zone that is some major RNG.
It's nice that he is pointing out one of the issues with spawn locations, but the system is also working against the other side when it comes to spawning locations.
-
You got camped and they hit the charm 7 times out of 10 matches?
And none of them admitted or said anything in regard to what they did?
Usually trolls can’t wait to let you know why they camped you.

Hey hey, I've only seen a little bit of X-Men. Not the whole movie... so I wouldn't know. Thanks for the fun fact though
It's a movie but it's also a comic book.
This is what she looks like, hence why I picked Meg. 😀

He's generally fine, the issue is the zombies being too weak on most maps. They're supposed to be his pseudo map pressure which they fail at on larger maps.
Is he the best PTB state killer we've had in a long time? Yes
Does that mean he's good where he's at? No
Most PTB state killers were just in literally embarrassing states, so when we say he's the best PTB state killer we've had in a long time it's all relative.
He needs more zombies based on the map size and addons to add zombies. Unfortunately they've already said he's not getting it.
TBH I played him and while he doesn’t feel completely weak, it feels like you gotta stay on the survivors behind because his power has such a short range… and even after that his powers ends up feeling like a chore, rather than rewarding.
Which is why I’ve started to just punch people first, force them to drop the pallet just to infect them, and then leave them and go for someone else unless I have my T2.
He ends up feeling a bit like Plague, except for you need better aim because his power has a very narrow hitbox.
Idk, I have fun with him, but they should have given him a rocket launcher as an added power. He ends up suffering from map pressure like many killers.

Meg main through and through.
Fun fact: if you notice my name, I am a big X-Men fan, with my favorite mutant being Jean Grey. So the choice was obvious.
-
I think the hardest part about this game is RNG. It’s something you have no control over on either side.
As killer,
On the matches I always seem to be doing good in, someone brought a key, so once they are down to two people they just open hatch.
Or the ones where I am not doing good in (where I made mistakes, overcommitted) they got lucky with a thousand pallets on the map to where they just hold W and pre-drop.
Sometimes killer isn’t easy because of RNG, not necessarily because of the survivors’ skill.
On survivors,
You bring a “fun” non-meta build…. Meet Omega-Camping Bubba or Spirit with Ruin/Undying/Noed.
Oh and also meet the random newbie/s who just got the game a week ago.
That’s just my take on it anyway.

Give him two weapon chest on the map with limited use
One Rocket Launcher with one rocket
One Flamethrower with limited ammo
Both heavily slow him down and can only be used once.
See now that’s cool too.
I was just trying to figure out something simple considering the mechanics we have or lack there of. 😂
I just really wanted to see his Rocket Launcher. It’s his signature weapon.

Basically he would scan the area, lock on a target. “Dwight and Feng working on generator/ 80% completed etc etc” then Boom he sends them a friendly explosive gift. 😄

Why would we want something that only works on potato's though, you can already win against these survivors with the screen off.
Even if it insta-downed, had a moderate wind up and cooldown, it still wouldn't be OP, I mean look at what a good Oni can do in his power.
This would be an added bonus to his kit. Not specifically to injure survivors, but to slow down gens. Hence why I was very specific about it damaging generators.
-
I’m sure it’s safe to say a nice message is better than a not so nice one.
Sometimes though, it’s better not to say anything. Especially with a bad matchmaking.
I am not going to tell a newbie, “gg” when I know it wasn’t a fair match. I would rather not say anything and move on.
-
His power seems to have a short range which is why I think people are still trying to get used to the aiming.
For me, playing as him, I feel forced to M1 first and then try to infect because then they are forced to drop the pallet, otherwise survivors just ignore the pallets completely if you only try to go for the M2.
-
I’d argue that the player is not ready for the charm. Not the other way around.
This is going to be a learning experience for some. I don’t doubt that.

I’ll be happy with this one:

You know those glyph thingies that are in the challenges?
I would make those useless luck offerings give a chance to spawn one of those glyphs and upon retrieving it the survivor is granted 2 bloodweb pages without needing to spend BP. This would happen on chance (RNG) .
I would also make it so you could sell back some of the more common/useless things for BPs (maybe at a lower cost than what they were obtained for)
I would make it so if you have excelled at a certain action (healing, repair, protection hits) meaning you have done it religiously. You are granted a perk pass for a perk that relates to that action. So if you have taken an insane amount of protection hits you could get WGLF (as an example) bypassing the bloodweb and shrine. Although I feel this might not work since perks are attached to characters and characters =$. So…
-
Bad hits is not a problem exclusive to the twins, it happens with other killers too. Let’s start with that.
-
Dropping a pallet and vaulting back into the killer’s arms LOL 😂
-
I don’t agree that you have to “camp” to play the twins. By that I mean parking Victor next to a hook. That is the same cheap “strat”you can force upon survivors with any other killer. Demo can technically go back to a portal, so can Hag, Hillbilly can zoom back to the hook, this isn’t new or exclusive to Twins.
On the slugging, well yes, anyone with half a brain should understand that Victor cannot pick up survivors so by default he HAS to slug.
Personally I have fun playing against the Twins, this coming from someone who despises excessive slugging, but I can understand why the twins do it. As a survivor you have to become aware that if you risk trying to pick up (to gain an advantage) you risk the player switching back to Victor. You are not respecting the down so you re risking your own hook at that point.
-
LOL put down the pipe grandpa.

SWF is unhealthy for the game.
you nerf spirit and the killer playerbase quits.
Do you only make threads to facilitate your ability to insert “SWF is unhealthy for the game” ? I swear every post you have made has these same words.
No. The killer community won’t die if Spirit got addressed, don’t speak for everyone else. Besides the devs haven’t even mentioned anything about changing Spirit, so to me, if it does happen… it will be because of threads like this one. Where the feedback on Spirit remains alive and intact.

Talk about a perfectly fine build?
No.

Great work and nicely put together.
I don't want to discredit and take away from your experience, because it very much resonates with my own and many others I think.
Two important elements to every match you have to consider are: The skill of the survivors vs The skill of the killer. Why is this important?
If you are paired up with survivors that make the wrong choices (will not touch gens, go for unhooks, take aggro in general) that is a red flag already. Then you add the fact that the killer is a decent player AND goes for those people because as a killer is is very easy to spot who is not very good at chases (as an example). That will make your efforts even more challenging. I know this because it happens to me a lot, I'll be running the killer 1-2 gens pop, my teammates run the killer and go down in 2-5 seconds... yet I will sit there thinking "Why? What rank are they?!"... check in post match chat, and sure some of them are babies but also half of them were red ranks like me.
My argument is how can they make those people better players? It is impossible, only they can improve if they so wish. Same goes for the killer too. I keep seeing posts where the excuse is swf gets information solos don't, and while that is a nice argument, the same issue I have with teammates who are not responsible and generally refuse to do the objective still applies.
I am not saying that in most cases teammates is the reason why we lost. Because I also account for Map RNG, and generally who the killer was and what perks were brought. So there is more than just "we lost" and that's that.
My suggestion for the devs would be to add more DURING the lobby to better prepare. Perhaps allow us to know what perks/items are being brought. So for instance if someone is camping we know at least one person brought BT.
As a last thing, I will tell you from playing a lot of survivor (5.4k hours here) I've learned everytime I bring "niche" "casual" perks/builds, no one brought BT and had a killer who loved to camp. I learn that my build probably would have worked against someone who didn't like to use that playstyle, and so the problem then becomes RNG. You don't know what type of killer you are going to get. So my advice for you would be to bring at least 2 meta perks, which Unbreakable is already one of them, and you have that in your build.
-
This is such a ridiculous assessment of the outcome for some killers.
I main Michael Myers and I have never had 2 let alone 3 gens pop as a common thing.
If anything this video is basically just showing how bad it is to overcommit to a chase. I’ve had people chase me on 5 gen runs before, and claim the same thing.
Learn when to ignore a chase and go for other people. Use the one who keeps dropping pallets as a way to get rid of survivor’s resources. That’s it.
-
Please nerf gen speeds so I can have a “decent chance” aka so I can slow down the game enough that my mistakes/lack of skill won’t matter.
Moving right along….

This addonn doesnt guarantee a free hit if you know where she put her traps.
and more often than not you won't know where her traps are. Best case scenario you can avoid the area, but as I mentioned in my response, you can still do that without Rusty Shackles AND if you have SB or DH you can avoid incoming damage because you have time to react.
-
My best advice that many people seem to ignore:
Don't overcommit to a chase. Especially if that survivor is just throwing pallet after pallet down.
Usually if they throw two pallets and they go to another safe zone where I know no gens are, I’m out. I will go find gens being worked on and chase them instead. Because at that point survivors trying to commit to that gen and the other injuries survivor will have to choose between starting a gen or heal.
-
I can guarantee you those same people would still be finishing that gen in front of other killer’s faces.
I’ve had people commit and finish a gen in front of my T3 Michael.
It’s just an optimal thing to do, has nothing to do with treating killers like a joke.
-
Hard disagree.
For me, part of countering Hag is getting rid of her traps when the opportunity arises to do so (she picked up a downed survivor, she is kicking a gen, she is committing to a down near a 99% gen) and while yes the camera spin may be annoying, at least you will always know where her traps are or where she likes to trap because many times you won’t be able to see them on the ground. This is important when you understand the ‘web’ she is trying to create.
This add on also guarantees a free hit for her. If you have exhaustion perks like SB or DH you could potentially avoid the hit vs not being able to because you didn’t know the trap was there to begin with.
I’ve always said without this add on, I have always felt like I find hag half-way fun, as I feel there are more counters. Which at base Hag doesn’t really have any, unless you bring a flashlight.
-
The problem with Spirit IS the fact that she is too easy to play as. I am not talking about her entire kit or powers.
I am talking about one thing: her ability to hear injured survivors when she is phasing.
It is so easy to hear them you might as well not make them invisible.
They should have their grunts/sounds muffled or echoed or somehow not as easy to track when you are right up behind them.
This is also why even though I can’t tell where she is exactly when I’m healthy, I don’t mind it as much because she can’t necessarily tell where I am either.
I think when people say she is too easy, this is what they mean or at least part of it.

Any time I play against a Billy I won't even try to do gens and i'll spend all game seeing how well he can curve. If he's good and I die and get hooked I come back for round 2 and round 3 immediately. If they're chasing someone else and get a nice saw/curve I t-bag the guy who got downed. Always fun against Billy even if they juice me. And if they're newish to him and miss, they get practice without getting fully genrushed.
Billy will always be a staple to DBD. I remember when I was so new and hated his guts because I couldn’t play against him. Then when I learned I discovered how much I actually loved going against him.
All my friends literally go “It’s hillbilly yay!” Whenever we hear his chainsaw 😆

Ok real deal. Wraith. Most ppl think he’s lame but I think he’s cool. The lunge range after uncloaked is pretty good and just the overall Wraith himself I find fun to play.
Wraith has some of the BEST cosmetics and although I do think his mori could use a little TLC you are right, some of my most fun chases have been against Wraiths.
