  • I might be in the minority but I find them fun.

    Only thing I would change is make it so leaving Victor by the hook doesn't give killer instinct anymore. This way if they want to 'camp' they are not getting that information first, and have to do it the old fashioned way.

  • Congrats!

    It couldn’t be a Wedding with DBD elements without some hex totems for sure.

    As for your cosplay, I’d say go with something that will compliment his cosplay. So maybe something like Kate’s dress or even Meg’s rift dress. Since you said your hair looks like Cheryls you could definitely pull this hairstyle as well!

    Just an idea 😄

  • I heard console pigs do not allow boops. 🥺

    Faces look worse.

    The perk will be toned down, it's the matter of time, it breaks the game too severely

    @SoapNSpook

    It's not a matter of time, because it isn't even in the devs' radar of perks to be looked at.

    It's a perk that you can literally wait out by hiding and once it's gone it's gone for the whole duration of the match.

  • Did you know killers weren't able to open the gate before?

    Now you can. Open the gate yourself.

  • That's an overstatement.

    There are those of us who like facing her, and think she could be tweaked a little.

  • I think the problem is that for every person like you who opts not to watch them, there is somebody else that always will. It’s sad to say but they feed off of it.

    They don’t care if they look like silly middle aged women or men. They only care about how much clout they have. They see being rude and obnoxious as them being them without remorse or shame because they have an audience that keeps telling them “keep doing that”.

    I personally love having conversations about this game and debating with my own friends about it. I think it’s a fun aspect of the nature of the game, it’s just sad when people turn it into a toxic environment in their own channel. I’ve wanted to start streaming but seeing how some of the bigger streamers act feels very discouraging.

    My advice for you is to not put too much energy into it, there are MANY other streamers who while small have far better content and are good at the game minus the overblown ego. I’ve made it goal to watch at least one new person every week, and just pop in to say hi 👋. I feel like this we can do as a community is encourage those who are a good sport but also remain respectful even when they know they don’t have to be.

  • No because I’m more focused/interested on winning my games than seeing how much I can irritate someone in a game.

    All we need is in game coms. That will fix solo queue.

    @FancyMrB

    Solo Queue needs competent players so I doubt comms will suddenly make them better at looping or going for saves when they are too scared at the sound of a heartbeat.

    From the description for Iron Will:

    “You are able to concentrate and enter a meditative-like state to numb some pain.

    When injured, Grunts of Pain are reduced by 50/75/100 %”

    @CountVampyr

    When I read that I assume 100% means I will give off 0% sound cues when I am injured. Unless they have stridor.

  • You even said it yourself…. “Regular breathing and grunts”. That’s not exactly 0%.

    The fact that Chucky is an actual icon is the problem. Everything you listed is original content that can be mocked, you can't do that with franchises that take themselves as ridiculously seriously as so many slasher fans do. It would be like them putting Myers in a chicken suit instead of Clown, not only would the rights holders not allow it due to potential image damage the hardcore purist fans would hate it.

    Chucky would have to be more of a side-piece of his own power, sitting on shelves and creepily watching people until it's Mori time.

    @MadLordJack

    Why do you have a problem with him being an icon?

    Also, they don’t take themselves that serious when you consider that his 5th film had him becoming a “doll dad”. That’s not exactly what I would call serious.

    Anyway, it’s ok that you aren’t a fan. It’s also ok not to like every killer that comes out. I don’t like the idea of Candyman being in this game, but I’m not going around telling those who want him in the game what a bad idea it would be. Not every killer is for everyone.

  • Because of this post I just played a couple of matches as Twins and just ran around as Victor trying to impersonate Chucky 😂

    That's my point. Nurse is the hardest killer for new players... But the best players with Nurse stomp... Not good balance.

    @Shooby

    Even the best nurse players have their losses.

    The problem becomes when matchmaking pairs an experienced Nurse with a new survivor, but that is a matchmaking issue at that point.

  • I had this happen to me personally against a Nurse who proceeded to call me a hacker.

    I felt really bad because she would have been able to kill me but on my end I froze and then suddenly I re-appeared slightly ahead because I kept pushing my key.

    Honestly, there are many strange things happening in Dead By Daylight right now in relation to network connections. There is another one where if you are playing killer there is like this mini rubber band that happens mid chase, it’s very annoying.

    Of course, I won’t speak for anyone else but this has been my personal experience. It’s annoying regardless because it happens at the most inconvenient times, like when you’re about to down someone or get away safely as a survivor.

  • May I also say I really want Tiffany to show up with him. Could work similar to how Legion works, and you swap between her and Chucky.

    “Barbie…eat your heart out” 💅

    One of the most iconic classic slasher killers.

    I am pretty confident he will be joining Dead By Daylight, and when he does, I will officially never leave.

  • Im not an Ash main but I do play him pretty consistently.

    In all seriousness, I get what you mean. My problem is when I’m asking myself how come 2 gens pop when I get chased then when a teammate gets chased I barely even touch one cuz that’s how fast they go down. 🙄

    Well, before dedicated servers, if the killer had a good internet connection, it was way better. The problem was lag switching killers, and it would be unplayable. Also the biggest down side was the killer was the server and if they lobby Dodged you, it could mean upwards of another 15 minute wait for a new killer server. But the hits since dedicated servers are abysmal trash.

    @jester20k

    Ok I was gonna say, I feel like when there were no dedicated servers hits felt better in general. I mean with exception of those instances where the killer’s network connection was bad.

    I wonder if there is such a thing as bad servers. Like, could the servers just be bad? I’m not a technical guy so I just wonder. Haha

    I mean i do this too, but i've played against 20 wraiths in like 2 days and i had chase interaction that lasted longer than 10 seconds against one of the wraiths and he was rank 17, and i've played against 10 or so deathslinger/spirits and i had longer chase interactions against them and all rank 1.

    @S0nny

    Something is off with those scenarios.

    Either the Spirit/Deathslingers were bad or the Wraiths were better than them.

    Which is why you can’t really base your statistics on player by player case scenarios. Because I am willing to bet an experienced Spirit will always obliterate before an experienced Wraith does. I base this on the fact that unlike Wraith whose first hit outside of his cloak is delayed, vs Spirit who comes out and immediately hits.

  • I really wanna like this killer, but after trying him for a couple of days.... he feels very lackluster and a theme that I feel BHVR has been going with lately as far as powers are concerned.... "use this power that looks cool but feels like a chore to get your first injured survivor". It's almost like there is no "happy medium" where you feel like you have to rely on your skill and more so on luck.

    I know a couple of days isn't enough for me to truly give a full opinion, so this is more of a first impression... He just feels weak because of how much he has to do in order to get an injure state on a survivor. It feels like it boils down to map RNG and overall set ups with LoS.

  • People aren't complaining about Stridor, I think they are complaing about Stridor ON Spirit.

  • @Yamaoka said:

    I will always cover/defend the unhooker with BT as it means you were camping to get a no skill trade hook anyways (unless the survivor unhooked right behind your back).

    If you commit to me I'll just hop in a locker as I still run ds.

    If you stand there for a minute you're gonna throw the game for 1 kill so my mission is complete.

    Both sides are allowed to use "strategies".

    @Yamaoka

    Not that I am against bodyblocking with BT, but how do you know that the killer is camping when BT activates regardless of where the killer is on the map and some survivors get in a chase leading the killer and going down back at the hook. That's not "camping" that's your teammate bringing your team down. I just think it's important to know the difference.

  • Dracula would be a phenomenal killer in DBD.

    It has been asked in a dev Q&A by a guy called Mooks, they said it’s something they really wanted to do but couldn’t technically do at the time.

    but maybe it will come soon, as they clearly have looked into it with giving the legendary their own portraits and names!

    @Mooks

    Well at least that's a start

  • I disagree that she should not be able to hear anything at all. There should be a happy medium between her being able to hear survivors but not clear enough to where it doesn’t matter if she can’t physically see them.

    Their grunts could be muffled or echoed (for example) this way she herself also has to sort of guess, and not be given a guaranteed free hit.

    This is probably Spirit’s biggest problem for me.

  • My personal take on how they could change Spirit is that they should make injured survivor's audio muffled or echoed, basically some type of SFX where she wouldn't be able to easily pinpoint the survivor's exact location. I say this because when survivors are healthy and she is phasing she also has to play the guessing game in terms of exact location of the survivor.

    The reason I think this would ease some of the concerns people have about her is that, by using her phase she is sacrificing her ability to see survivors, but when you can hear the survivor's grunts and pains so crystal clear (almost as if you could see) It sort of makes that power condition meaningless. It would be cool if she also had an element of having to predict the exact position of a survivor.

    That's just my 2 cents

    Similar to yours:

    When I am peacefully working on a gen by myself, looking around, cuz the killer is most likely stealth. Then outta nowhere get yoinked by Ghostface. He may be my favorite, but sometimes he scares the ######### outta me. Or just flat out gives me a heart attack.

    Also as I rotate my camera and just see a Michael menacingly staring at me, and as soon as my camera lands on him, tier 3 pops. It's like he knew the camera was on him and was like "Hehehe, show time"

    @Mekochi

    Haha that's too funny! and sounds scary!

    I main Michael Myers, and I get a laugh everytime 3 people are on a gen and you see them blowing it up one by one when they realize I am stalking them. 🤣

    Oh I got the situation right.

    You see, Nurse has an abysmal low kill rate. But the devs don't want to buff her, because you have a chance of getting matched against a tournament level god nurse, once in a thousand matches.

    Yet, when killers repeatedly complain about the speed at which gens get completed. People claim that it's the killers fault, for not applying pressure, or not having 2+ gen slowdown perks equipped, or that it's an isolated case since no one plays like that, etc.

    Apparently it's important to balance killers around high skill playstyles and survivors around low skill playstyles.

    @Tsulan

    What does Nurse have to do with what is being discussed? I've gone against 'god' nurses before and some of them do usually bad because of the same problem that Trapper displayed. Overcommitted to the same survivor.

    When killers complain about gen speeds with a video, yes people are going to point out what they could have done better but there is also an RNG aspect to every match. Unless you aren't aware that some maps are better for some killers than others. Patrolling gens, perks, map set ups, skill of the survivors being chased, the killer's own experience and skill... yes that all needs to be considered when you are talking about why you did poorly. I am not sure what point you are trying to make.

    Not bringing slow down perks into a match is the equivalent of you not bringing DS into a match where the killer happens to be a camper. It's that simple. So unless you are very good without perks you are (again and especially with a killer like Trapper) going to have a rough time depending on... well all of the things I've already listed above.

    It does. Ippa is painfully weak with her Stamina & HP. Jane also has a weak HP but being full health when revived makes her equal to the other characters. Yuri camera is beyond OP, a pay to win character.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237588#Comment_2237588

    You may love using David have your Dead hard exhaustion from 40sec decreased to 30sec, rather than using Steve to have Camaraderie from 34sec increased to 38sec.

    @C3Tooth

    You mean Nipa? I understand that maybe her HP might be on the lower side with a 1. She has the ability to see the killer (specter) to evade them as much as possible and alert others of it’s location. So I wouldn’t say that part is weak. It’s basically Object but without the killer being able to see you back.

    I don’t know, I just don’t notice a difference to where I would feel like I would never wanna play the lower HP characters.

  • @Tsulan said:

    Aaaand we got the first one.

    @Tsulan

    Hmm, interesting that you knew what people are going to judge that video on. Perhaps bring better points to the table instead of standing across the room watching who walks in like you do in most threads you comment on.

    I never said gen-rush is non-existant. I said it is the result of a killer doing poorly and poor RNG on their side (based on a map like Ormond) where most traps would be easily seen.

    Perhaps next time put your energy into understanding what it is being said and discussed rather than trying to create a “gotcha” moment.

  • So my guess is you pre warn us that he is a rank 17 so that, what? We can just ignore the fact that he isn’t going to be the most optimal player?

    We know what gen rushing is. Yes this happens to killers who have no map pressure who don’t bring slow down perks, AND (from the looks of it) overcommit. You can’t just show us a video of you “trying everything possible” when the killer made it very easy for you to hold M1 without pressuring you off your objective.

  • I’d welcome him and Tiffany with open guts I mean arms. 😄

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2236129#Comment_2236129

    In this game, information is king, what others are able to do with that information is on them. Just as you said, player skill does matter, this is why Killer seems so powerful at low ranks, we all know this, a Killer's performance is also heavily dependent the survivor's mistakes and lack of map knowledge. That said, apples to apples, low rank killers against low rank survivors are at more of a disadvantage because that information gives survivors up to 5 different perks and then some that are normally not available to them. Even then, low rank players might not know how best to act on that information but what about mid and upper ranks? what about red ranks?

    I feel like you are doing exactly what Almo does, factor the strength of something around the bottom rank players. More than any exhaustion perk, information has helped me to go entire games without seeing a hook...or even knowing where to intercept a killer to take a hook for my teammates who are on dead hook.

    By "handing survivors tools" I mean specifically their own discord and the endless number of "SWF" channels. Can't find a 4 man SWF? they provide a place to find one yourself. And, yes, I am aware that if not them someone else would do it but that's wholly irrelevant because the issue is BHVR is doing it themselves knowing they are setting up situations where killers are going to be significantly disadvantaged and/or bullied.

    @StrongWolf85

    So how do you come up with the conclusion that information trumps anything that could tilt the match one way or the other? Because as I’ve already said, it doesn’t matter if you know the killer is on someone else, if you aren’t doing anything productive you are bringing your team down. I don’t care how much information you have, this is fact.

    Having information at red ranks hardly means anything because you are more experienced and capable of dealing with the killer on a 1v1 scenario. You know there are still potatoes in red ranks right? Like legit worse than green ranks who still urban their way through ranks.

    Im not sure how BHVR allowed access to discord to survivors because I am pretty sure discord was already being used, and it isn’t something that BHVR owns either. Anyway, I only asked because on the context you brought it up it sounded as if there were more examples.

    I play in red ranks all the time and I see solo queue survivors destroying as much if not more than SWF teams.

  • I don’t know if it should be through a perk, but it would be cool if each character had a “status” that gave them something unique to them.

    I play HSH and they have that there. It doesn’t seem to be an issue there.

  • I wish I could talk to solo queue survivors so I could ask them why they refuse to touch a generator even when the killer is not on them.

    A player's skill isn't measured by how much information they have via comms only by their actions and choices. Someone suddenly knowing that a hex totem is inside shack isn't going to magically teach them how to loop shack. Having the killer on me isn't going to force someone to touch a generator, yeah even the 99'd gen they got off of when they heard a heartbeat. These are just a couple of things that make solo queue a hell mode queue.

    So while we are all in agreement that swf has a bit more information than solo queue survivors, this isn't the reason why solo queue is a mess. It is a mess because they lack experience, you can clearly see this through the ranks the game decides to put you with ( a rank 2 with a rank 20??) and their movement (throws a god pallet down immediately after getting hit). Those are the things you look out for in bad teammates.

    I also don't understand what "handing survivors tools" means. I would need a little more clarification about that, because as far as I am concerned survivors have received nerfs/buffs as much as killers have.

  • Dead Hard is fine. Just like every other second chance perk where you would have hit them but they got away.

    Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it unfair.

  • Wraith is harder to play as than Spirit, because you have to time when you uncloak correctly against a good survivor that knows when to vault windows etc.
