  • No disrespect to the idea, but I would find this too silly. Normally when I think of shape-shifting I think of cooler things to turn into.

  • There are currently players experiencing crashes, crashes which result in the game thinking they dc’d and thus giving them an unfair penalty.

    Until they fix crashes, they can keep the dc penalty disabled.

  • @Shirtless_Myers said:

    No, this isn't the game for that sort of thing. If you want to play Nemesis with his rocket launcher move over to Resistance.

    @Shirtless_Myers

    I do play resistance which is why the idea was brought up in the first place. Not sure which part you don’t agree with but there are many things in DBD that wouldn’t necessarily work but are in anyway.

  • An observation I have from that video is that the first actual down doesn’t happen until 4 mins and 3 seconds.

    For me, regardless of who you are playing that is too long too be in chase meanwhile you are also switching between survivors but not actually committing to one. Gens if the team is efficient will get finished.

    You weren’t really pressuring them by only injuring them, because they weren’t even healing. So I would have stopped that strat a long time ago.

  • It is very fun! They need more perks like this one

  • I was playing add on-less Nemesis yesterday and got a consistent 2k.

    I was also playing extremely casual because I really want to master his “whip”. The only thing I had a problem with was gauging how far I could hit. Also for some reason it goes right through console players at times. I really don’t think he is that weak.

  • @Unifall said:

    Right now the meta is corrupt, pop, and ruin. Unfortunate how killers have to use 3 gen regression perks to have a chance.

    @Unifall

    Lol what. According to who?

    I only use Corrupt and it is enough most of the time.

    The game is called Dead by Daylight not Dead by Eternity. This is why slow down perks are a problem to begin with people rely way too much on buying time because they think one chase is suppose to take 2-3 gens. I get that in certain circumstances it happens (overcommitting to a single chase, hardcore camping or alternatively they all brought a BNP, PTS and all injured with resilience) but this isn’t normal. At least not in my games.

  • I completely disagree.

    Zombies are very effective and can creep up on survivors at the least expected moment. Not to mention they can also keep survivors off gens. I’ve seen this while playing Nemesis and also playing against him.

    @OniWantsYourMacaroni

    As a Meg main, yes she does.

    She is the face of DBD and should have VIP access to new cosmetic options at all given times.

    In all seriousness, her cosmetics have not been the best lately so I would gladly have them skip her when they actually give her something good.

    you said

    Technically a survivor who has Dead Hard active should be immune to anything that would otherwise injure that survivor. That is what the perk is meant to do.

    This is also why I also do not set traps inside the pallet but rather in front or behind a pallet.

    which reads as "I put traps on the outside of pallets because of dead hard". Now, maybe that's not what you meant, but that's how it reads as.

    and you don't trap the center because they just drop the pallet and vault... ######### do you think they would do? sit and die?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285343#Comment_2285343

    then he is camping... and just like any other camping killer, it's very hard to get a proper save.

    and someone else can disarm the traps after trapper goes down. there's still a simple way out that doesn't require dead harding over a trap.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285345#Comment_2285345

    pfff... XD

    wow that was bad... bye guy

    @Alice_pbg

    Right, so if someone dead hards through a trap in front OR behind they can drop the pallet by which point I am already walking to gain distance on them. If they don’t same thing. Point being (yet again) that they A) didn’t get to use the pallet and hardly gained distance B) didn’t get to drop the pallet on top of my trap because it wasn’t placed in the center.

    My question to you is what does that have to with with anything in relation to how you personally feel about DH? I see you defending it so I am not sure why you feel the need to judge how I play when I was simply pointing out that IMO that is where people have issue with it?

    If a survivor is being chased and you are about to get a hit on them, I can guarantee you 110% they will not have time to both, drop the pallet and vault. Regardless of where that trap is.

    Also, PS I am not sure how old you are but learn some forum etiquette. You sound very condescending and I’m not just talking about your response to mine.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285300#Comment_2285300

    and again... nothing to do with dead hard.

    It's like you know you're supposed to not trap the center, but never bothered to learn why and assumed it was dead hard... it isn't. if dh was never in the game, you still wouldn't trap the center.

    that doesn't matter...because with dead hard, they just won't drop the pallet. and now you need to walk around the loop while they are gaining all the distance they lost during the chase. and the pallet wasn't even used

    @Alice_pbg

    Whats the point that you are trying to make? Cuz I seem to have missed it.

    Did you not just say that placement of a trap doesn’t change anything? Cuz I believe that is what I responded to. Dead Hard (again) hasn’t and doesn’t bother me. I am simply pointing out where people might see it as a problem which is at a pallet.

    You can still trap the center and get value out of it. A healthy survivor doesn’t have DH. So again, I am not sure why you are trying to make this a point when it really is up to the player and the exhaustion perks they are working against. If I find out they have SB or Lithe, why wouldn’t I trap the center? Smdh

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285165#Comment_2285165

    so they dead hard in the front or behind a pallet...

    you're not changing anything.

    the reason you don't trap the center, is because the survivor can just drop the pallet and vault your trap. nothing to do with dead hard.

    @Alice_pbg

    Point being that even if they drop the pallet the trap remains. So yes while you aren’t changing anything it is a better option that if they were to drop it on top of it. Why? Because it is now an unsafe loop for them, and you can simple go around.

    This applies to every pallet except shack pallet. Where you would literally have to go around to catch up with that survivor.

  • I’ve played Trapper for as long as I can remember and this has never bothered me.

    Technically a survivor who has Dead Hard active should be immune to anything that would otherwise injure that survivor. That is what the perk is meant to do.

    This is also why I also do not set traps inside the pallet but rather in front or behind a pallet.

  • For me it feels like he spends way too much time just trying to decide who to go for. He gets his first M1 at exactly 1:41 meanwhile gens are going off, which is just insane to me.

    Just pointing out what I observed. It is very easy to lose gens when you spend too much time not even injuring someone.

  • For me, I don't care about how much tunneling someone wants to do. I care about what resources there are to counter tunneling. Currently you have to purchase Laurie in order to get an option, or rely on someone to have Borrowed Time in order to somewhat counter it.

    There should be built in options for survivors who are constantly being sought after every unhook. Outside of a perk. That is my take on Tunneling.

    As for "Bully" Squads. I think that word gets thrown around here much like Tunneling is. If you wanna talk about certain killers lacking in their kits for optimal play, because they get screwed over when they get a map with amazing set ups, then yeah l understand how the survivors may have the upper hand there and the devs may need to look at each individual killer.

    I don't think anyone doesn't understand that they "exist", it's just the way some members of this community present them that is a problem. They do it in a form of a rant (which is fine) but then what they are saying has no substance when it comes to solutions to said problem, so it almost becomes a meme? (for lack of a better term).

    It's the same thing with Camping, I always hear one side saying "Camping needs to be addressed immediately"... and the other side's response: "Well they tried something and it didn't work because survivors abused it". It's almost like I can quote it word for word at this point. First of all (again) provide solutions to said problem, and for the other group... so they tried something? Ok good. They can try something else. It's not like there aren't a number of iterations to balance that take place in a game, it is how balancing games works. They don't just stick to one idea.

  • For me the problem is that there are a lot of aura perks that sometimes leaves Distortion feeling pretty weak. So I definitely agree that it could use a bit of a buff.

  • @AnnaEliza365

    Hang in there. I play in high ranks and mostly in SWF and it's been a nightmare when it comes to the amount of camping and tunneling I see in those ranks.

    I was talking to a friend who just came back to the game after a long time of not playing, and got tunneled to death almost every single match, but I did manage to help in certain situations where I could. I can't even imagine those people who are just new and want to try the game out for themselves. Especially when one of the biggest, if not the best option to counter Camping and Tunneling is attached to a character they have to purchase: Decisive Strike.

    Matchmaking is at it's worst and we can't even try to ease some of these playstyles because we don't even have information... anything AT ALL to help us understand our other teammates skill level even to some extent. Only way is to check their hours played and even then that information isn't always available.

    Seems very strange that they are actively trying to come up with the best matchmaking system possible, but don't allow us to see if we are unmatched when that in and of itself will make a huge difference in a match.

    Anyway, last thing I will say is you are not alone. Many people have had to deal with those type of matches for a long time now.

  • If you are wearing an ugly outfit I am going to tunnel you.

  • Because I don't think they are going in a specific order. I am sure Jill's RE1 outfit will come soon.

    The fact that someone “bullies” which seems to be a word just thrown around on here (all when there is actual people being bullied in RL and ending their lives because of it ) doesn’t take away from the fact that if you are new to a killer you are most of the time going to be unmatched. This is the nature of the game.

    What the ######### are you talking about. Not just THIS ^ but are you simply going to ignore the way he spoke? Really? Listen... you're not going to come and justify it.

    Creating an account on the DBD forum does not turn one into a Psychologist. My god...

    I'm done

    @Pilot

    You are trying to give the OP the benefit of doubt without evidence that A) someone was actually doing anything to "bully".... how do you know survivors weren't just playing normal? B) OP admitted that this was their second, not week... not month, but DAY playing this killer... on what earth does one outplay the opposing side without actual experience with that character?

    I'm sorry that you think that suggesting someone to remove themselves from a situation where they clearly admitted is causing them distress is somehow bad advice. That is all I was pointing out.

    "Creating an account on the DBD forum does not turn one into a Psychologist. My god..."

    I agree, doesn't stop from people on here posting like they are at a session with their psychologist.

    I'm sure your comments will make the OP come back to DBD & the Forums.

    Have some understanding, he wants to play DBD.

    We've all been in this situation, more or less.

    Besides, I've had this happen to me last night a couple of times when trying Nemesis. I am however used to this treatment after being subjected to it over 300 times.

    @Pilot

    They are kind of right though.

    If a game is literally making you feel that emotional where it is affecting your everyday life like that then you should maybe stop playing.

    This isn’t to say that one doesn’t understand how you can get teams like that, but also understand it’s your second match, what do you expect from a killer you’ve literally never touched?

    I’ve had bad matches too. I also understand my skill level and where I could have done better. Which is something that we have no info on just based on a rant post. The fact that someone “bullies” which seems to be a word just thrown around on here (all when there is actual people being bullied in RL and ending their lives because of it ) doesn’t take away from the fact that if you are new to a killer you are most of the time going to be unmatched. In RE5 you can unlock his STARS outfit. It looks almost identical to the RE5 unlockable STARS cosmetic where he's more beefed up.

    @xFatalFramex

    That is what I was thinking. His face definitely reminds me of RE5 for sure. 😄

  • For me he is mid tier for sure.

  • NGL if I play killer and I see this. I will make sure to leave the person on the ground and tunnel the other survivor.

  • Yes, and while I will be playing ALOT of Jill she will not be my new main.

  • For me once I know they have it, I play around it and get the gen to the ‘tinkerer’ stage… walk away and bamboozle the killer.

    A straight counter to it is Spine Chill. It lets you know if the killer is coming to your gen and not others.

    Either way you are wasting their time because they will be looking for you.

  • Urban evasioning at the start of the match. Because if they are doing it when there is no danger around, imagine when they actually have to go for a save etc.

  • There is definitely something funky going on with inconsistent framerate issues with this game.

    It really sucks because you'll be doing so well during a match, and your character freezing inconsistently could cost you the match.

  • This perk will only be useful to counter other perks like Thana or Thrill. Because there are far better perks if your focus is totems alone.

    By the time this perk will shine, the match will probably be over with.

  • I don’t get the hype and her perks are definitely just

    281BB5B3-FE09-426C-8B06-7E86E2B04B1F.gif

  • They did get a nerf.

    Now playing optimally and downing someone actually punishes you if you have another survivor running next to you. They have 5 seconds to kick Victor and then pick up their friend. Rinse repeat.

    Is that not enough?

  • You can still win in this map, so I don’t think they would disable it because it’s not as balanced as the other maps.

  • I think a survivor going down for holding Victor hostage is too much, but I DO believe there should be some type of status that applies if they don't take Victor off them.

  • I can't decide, so I'll post my fave ones 😏

    One of the perks already added game, Smash Hit. So i really do not think Chucky is imposible and also i liked perk ideas too. But for Andy, he can have better perk ideas. Because on movies noone believes murderer baby and Andy always trying to be careful because he knows dangerous and real. Perks has to support that.

    @Northener1907

    I think it would be Really creepy to have Chucky undetected while all you hear is him running while laughing every once in a while . 😳

    Like in this scene: 1:34

    When devs said that, DbD was not strong game like now. I mean 2 years ago maybe Chucky was imposible. But today, we can not say same thing. There is Victor and Chucky is taller than him. Small pov is not problem for me because i already playing as Hag. There is so much good Chucky concepts already. @Maperson had topic for that. Also you can watch this video after work:

    https://youtu.be/5JDRZpcTSZw

    Chucky will fit to DbD without problems, he will be special killer. We need some different killers and Chucky will be different. He is icon, he has so much fans. And i am sure people will like him.

    @Northener1907

    WOW, there are some great ideas in that video. 👏

    Hopefully BHVR has seen it. I love the idea of his latching onto a survivor. It’s something he constantly does in the movies.

    Never said they didn't consider it.

    I said they answered that it's not gonna work.

    Meaning that they have considered it but came to the conclusion it is not possible for reasons.

    Again you can believe or not, that is up to you.

    I just state what I have heard during a stream, I'm not here to attack anyone or their favourite franchise, as some do act like it.

    But than again these are just letters

    @Dennis_van_eijk

    They didn’t come to any conclusion. Anyone can understand that they would think it’s a challenge due to his size… but again, this was before they introduced the twins. Which that in itself shows that it can be done. I for one never thought we’d see a small killer the size of Victor. I’m not saying your source is wrong just asked to show it.

    I know for a fact if it’s the stream where Matthew mentioned it, he never said either way. He explains the challenges but doesn’t say “and because of that we can’t do it”. Is what I am objecting to.

  • @Dennis_van_eijk

    They confirmed this during a stream I believe 1 or 2 years back when it was asked about it a lot.

    So yeah they definitely did.

    Yup but when did you see Victor hook a survivor? 😉

    @Dennis_van_eijk

    Yeah, back when The Twins weren’t a thing?

    Old news. They also never straight out said they wouldn’t do it, which is what you are claiming.

    Oh I never said anything about Victor hooking survivors. I’m also not assuming that Victor couldn’t do it. It’s by design that Charlotte does that for him. Nice try though.

  • @Dennis_van_eijk said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/256181/chucky-after-re-any-chance

    Ain't gonna happen.

    They already confirmed that that is not gonna happen because of his height.

    @Dennis_van_eijk

    I mean we all know they haven’t but…. source?

    Also, you realize Victor is smaller than Chucky, right?

  • Wishful thinking.

    I would love to see Chucky and Tiffany. So you could choose to play as either of them.

  • The same could be said about having 4 good players without comms.

    Sure, some of the coordination might not be as great, but I have played with some really good players out there that made it feel like they knew their stuff.

  • Also I actually have a real life friend who looks almost exactly like Elodie. So I’m gonna be biased and agree that she is pretty. 😄

    He could drag them from the leg and they can be stomach down, trying to crawl away and kicking away at his hands. They could even add some sound of their nails scratching the ground while being dragged away.

    Idk about the hooks, either give him some silly animation or custom made hooks.

    @A_Skinny_Legend

    Exactly. It’s all in the animation.

    Also another idea for hooks could be that the hook is at the bottom attached to a chain so once he drags and hooks the survivor the chain automatically moves them up higher.

    Chucky would be...very interesting. They could just add Charles if the height was an issue and the doll...used for his power of something. Although, that may be to similar to the Twins....so scrub that.

    @Archon

    I honestly don’t think the height would be as much of an issue. Nemesis for instance has a different animation and carries survivors a bit differently. Chucky could drag them, take them to a hook and have the entity pull them up to the hook, as an example.

    There are many creative ideas they could do with him. 😄 also I agree Candyman and Pinhead should join as well!
