I don't think Survivors should be able to escape through hatch if they're grounded. You mean to say they can bounce into a full leap from off their stomachs? Kind of ridiculous.

It’s just lack of animation. Someone in reality could easily grip the edges of the hatch and hoist themselves in.

Hallowed Blight should be disregarded in terms of statistics. Many Survivors just farmed the pustulas and then threw the game to move on as quickly as possible.

Where did I say hallowed blight? I said howling grounds. The event where gens were prioritized THE MOST.

Maybe i just had ######### luck during this last event but i have had had more killers and survivors dc during this event then at any point i can ever remember. Killers dcing to derank i assume or just to screw survivors playing escape cakes and survivors dcing when killer plays pudding. I got the legion trophy because all 4 survivors disconnected when i played pudding. It happened multiple times as different killers. PS4 is toxic as [BAD WORD] during this event.

I had a killer DC against 4 streamers and he used a pudding. Closed app too, so I didn’t even get multiplied escape points.

For bloodwarden I'd just be happy with a timer an for perks to be hidden until after the game since swf makes it worthless.

Why can't killers have strong perks :(

Because killers don't pay the bills.

    No killers, no games.
Killers are a smaller group of people to tick off, so it's easier to lose them.

Playing both, I've probably spent enough to regret it all if they destroyed the killer experience.

Survivors have four times the group mentality and capability of review bombing though

  • If you could see someone had a history of robbing stores before he entered, every store would prevent entrance. Even if it wasn’t his intent to rob, no one would know and play it safe. They would starve to death on the street weeks later. That’s why.

Gonna adress this? It seems when someone makes a point that actually works, and goes through your points, you seem to conveniently not see it.

I just don't agree on his point of view.
I understand his points, I just don't think they matter, because they are weak.
Seeing a new target in the distance is still a good reason to go hunt, knowing nothing is always a good reason to stay. So the pro outweights the con. The killer can actively decide to go for a halfway asured new chase and accept the unhook, but if he just expect someone near with no new target as an option, he would stay anyway.
So no, I don't ignore it or "not see it", the argument is just not that strong.

Those weren’t the points. The points, were regarding bloddooint gain, and why survivors should get a buff to it with just base bloodpoints or WGLF. Not how effective BBQ is in the meta

    You call THAT his point??
Survivor get enough points, why should they get boosted even more?
Good survivor can get more points than the killer already.
If other survivor can't, than they might be not as good survivor as they think they are.
Survivor can use their items multiple games and can even stock up their stuff through chests.
Survivor are just skins and you don't need to level up every survivor.
The only time that slows survivors point genereation down is waiting for their SWF buddies if they get killed early.

I sure as hell do! You’re literally wrong. Give me proof that survivors make more than killers. You can’t.

  • @Master said:

And killers camping the hatch... what else are they supposed to do? Hatch mechanic is somewhat broken, we all know this.

No we do not all know this because most people know that just because you don't like how something works does not mean it's broken.

If the hatch is opened with a key I find it to be an entertaining twist. When you worked your posterior off killing 3 skilled survivors and then the last person escapes because the whole team did less than half of the generators. . .

. . . I dunno. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

And what if the one guy who survived was the one who did all the gens? Hatch exists because otherwise the role of survivor wouldn’t be attractive enough to have decent queue times. Survivors need to keep a constant rate of being about 3x more popular than killer

  • @iceman2kx said:
I don't have a problem with exhaustion resetting on hook. It's fine honestly.

Second, there is a problem with camping that needs to be addressed. Playing as a killer, there's a stigma against killing a freshly unhooked survivor, even if it was done right in front of the killer's face. It's ridiculous that a killer feels pressured to automatically go after the "rescuer" even though he could insta-down the freshly unhooked survivor. I see popular killer streamers do it all the time. This is the most ridiculous arbitrary rule killer main's follow just to avoid being called a camper or "lol tunneler" even though they weren't trying to camp/tunnel in the first place.

With that being said, I absolutely agree survivor's unhooking a survivor directly in front of the killer/terror radius should be punished somehow. There's a time when it's necessary, for instance if a killer is face camping, but farming your teammate makes you a bad survivor and player. You unhook a survivor before the killer even has the opportunity to get in another chase, the killer doubles back and kills that survivor. You just got your teammate killed again. You're a bad player and should be punished for it. This isn't the killers fault, it's your fault.

Let's be realistic here, what actually happens? The bad survivors QQ in end game chat on how bad the killer is because he is camper/tunneler. Frankly, the community needs to figure it out and learn what face camping and tunneling actually is.

Yeah, that’s the thing. I want camping to not be possible, but it’s not the killers fault. It shouldn’t be punished. It’s a stupid mechanic that forces another player to not play for 2 minutes. It shouldn’t exist. This game has so many fundamental issues at its core.

Reposting to this thread - in case devs take a minute to read the forums:

BBQ is really 2 perks (aura and points). W'e're Going To Live Forever only awards points for survivor so why not split that BBQ into 2 perks? Or, remove the aura for those already hooked once.

Also, when only survivors are left, it's a bit OP - possibly remove the aura at that point if the above isn't done.

Most killers SAY they only run it for the points so splitting it, or removing the aura for those hooked once should be acceptable to all.

I love how survivor mains still try to bash a perk that was created to solve THEIR issues.

    -Camping

    -Tunneling

    -Long lobby times

Still they want to nerf a perk that benefits THEM if a killer picks it.

Survivor mains aren't the brightest candles on the cake.

BBQ actively works to promote tunneling and effectivize camping. It makes the issues worse. Killers will go after the injured aura if nobody else is on a generator, and if someone is on a generator, the killer can ensure that at least three people are not doing objectives (4 if the injured survivor doesn’t have self-care or there are two survivors injured). If the killer doesn’t see most if not all the survivors through BBQ’s aura-reading, then that killer is more likely to camp. A camper’s rationale is that by camping, not only the hooked survivor’s time is wasted, but also any rescuer’s time. BBQ is a camper’s dream in that it tells a killer when it’s beneficial not to camp and when it is—it’s next-level camping strategies.

Sure it was meant to solve problems, but the poor implementation exacerbated the issue.

    On the main topic:
WGLF should have different requirements for gaining stacks. When a survivor loses 15,000 points (the survivor brought in a broken key with a weaved ring and prayer beads) every match consecutively for a total of 5 matches because they had some bad games, they lose 75,000 points in total, maybe not breaking even if that survivor didn’t get any saves for WGLF stacks. A killer brings in two ultra rares, only costing 14,000 for the same period, and 3-4ks because of the addons, thereby getting every BBQ stack. The killer gains more bp per round than the survivor even with a two tier rarity increase. WGLF is not sufficient.

I'm not sure why you're conflating exhaustion reset with unhooking, but it's fine and does not need to be reverted. This is how balance works.

Sometimes a risky unhook is necessary, for instance it's much better to try to get a survivor unhooked if they're about to go into phase 2 even if the killer is nearby. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. Getting 0 BP is way too harsh. It's fine as it is now.

Your opinion is how balance works? How do you mean that?

If you go for a risky unhook, then YOU should feel the risk, and not the victim on the hook that is farmed by you

I agree, but why remove I-frames and exhaustion reset? That doesn’t encourage farming, it’s the one saving grace to live a farmer.

In order to help the community as a whole, the devs should not only be banning DCs/overly toxic players, but should also be removing players that are "under performing", aka "bads".

Criteria: Losing 30%+ of games in a week. Statistically, anyone who is legit trying to play the game will never have less than 30% of game losses, just like they should theoretically never DC innocently more than 30% of the time.

    Define "losing"

    Survivor: Failing to escape
    Killer: Failing to kill 2/4
According to BHVR, these are the criteria for "average" games.

Result: No longer eligible to play in public games, but can still participate in KYF matches.

This would help better players have better quality games overall. People who clearly don't actually want to play the game, but lack the intelligence and/or willpower to just uninstall and move on, are no longer able to ruin the game for everyone else. By being restricted to KYF games only, they can [BAD WORD] off all they want during their games (and also make it impossible to refund since they can still play the game without the online factor - see F13 for reference).

Il be honest...this would be a ######### show if implemented into the game. here's the problem with this idea and the reason it most likely won't be implemented into the game. for one the idea itself is harsher than dark souls and a change of this magnitude and insanity would no doubt bring the company to its knees form a mix of protest and boycotting of the game. and yes we don't own the game as you stated but this game was marketed as an "Online Multiplayer" game. furthermore, I think this would actually count as discrimination against players. lastly, this isnt a competitive game, there is no competitive mode there is no competition cash pot. if you wanna play with better people just get your self up to rank 1..not that hard

They even confirmed on stream what aren’t exploits/bannable actions

I know, and the devs clearly don't understand what it does allowing gentapping!

    It's a gamebalance issue!

Almost everything Behavior has done has caused game balance issues, however Gen Tapping is not an exploit. Whether it’s balanced is another thing entirely.

On a side note, unless they’ve recently changed it, you cannot avoid Overcharge by Gen Tapping.

It actually is, because it's not an intended mechanic, it's a result of poorly executed game design.
It should simply not be possible to tap the gens, or bypass anyone other skillcheck by tapping.

    @thesuicidefox said:
Gens should require you to work on them for at least 1 second before progression starts. Then tapping wouldn't be possible.

Also regarding the devs list there... the reason some things can't get you banned is because it's impossible to enforce arbitrary rules like that. They have to allow that stuff because they can't police every minute instance of it. If you gen tap just once in a game does that count? Twice? 50 times? Where's the line?

Like stream sniping should totally get you a ban but there is no way to prove someone was stream sniping. On top of that, they put the fault on the streamer since you can't be stream sniped if you don't stream (or at the very least stream with a proper delay, but not many streamers want to do that because they want live interaction with chat). And to this end I agree with the devs. I don't stream but if/when I do I will be sure to put a 30-60 second delay just to avoid snipers.

Actually in regards to streamers, I hate the very fact that you have no way of actually knowing if someone is streaming unless of obvious signs, because I dislike to participate in someone's stream unknowingly and without my consent.

I'm not sure if 1 second would be enough, but I would say it should take at least the same amount of time as it takes for the killer to interact with the generator - it should be somewhat equal, when it comes to time usage.

What? You face camp people and don’t want to be publicly known?
