Psh, Shirtless Myers would make my YEAR XD
Why not both? Though, for Myers, I feel like him being shirtless while wearing denim overalls would be hot.

There better be lots of shirtless Felix's running around or I'll be very disappointed in the cosmetics team.

She's almost at Nurse tier against solo players, but she comes down to B+ tier against SWF. She's counterable, but if the player controlling her knows what they're doing, she will even make a well coordinated swf team sweat.
With certain perks and add-ons, she can be so frustrating - Make Your Choice is down right oppressive on her.
-
I have low expectations, but with the backlash that they received for the Halloween non-event, they announced that from then on, they will only be doing two events, Halloween and the Anniversary. This way, they can focus more resources on them and make them more enjoyable. If this event is a bust, it will be really sad, especially since they're getting Resident Evil.

It can be. But objective speeds need fixed way before any sort of "penalty" to the killer can be done. And I can't see the devs wanting to go that route. They've already said slugging, camping, tunneling are valid strategies (they are). So I wouldn't expect it to go away
They can work on both and release them at the same time. I never said that they weren't valid strategies, I just think they should be discouraged from the early part of the match. I'm not asking for them to be removed at all, just be made a little more unattractive.
But yea, with how long it took them to buff Wraith, the mediocre buff to Clown and with how they handled Moris and how long they're taking with the key nerf, I don't have much hope that they can work this out.

You just want a little Deus Ex Machina from the DEVs to take away the agency of other Players which provides an "easy" win to those in their opposition. Interesting. You don't see the irony in your demand at all do you? Killers are also Players and they want the same agency as Survivors. They are not here to be your personal, glorified Bots. Free will is a harsh mistress. Rigging the game to force a narrow window of options is turning Players into Bots, and we will lose them. We are already suffering for Killers for a number of reasons. This is the game; there are only so many choices Killers get to make, i.e. who to chase, when to chase them, and whether to put them on the hook and/or slug them. Removing or as you coyly put it make it less attractive (one would assume to the point that they can't) reduces them to to Chase Bots. All due respect, I don't think you could possibly have thought through the implications as you seem like a nice person. Why would you want to condemn any Player to being just the Ghosts from the old Pac Man game?
This isn't about buffs or debuffs. This is about Player agency; a game either has it or it doesn't.
My suggestion doesn't take away player agency, it just makes tunneling, camping and slugging a little more difficult, and only in the early stages of the match. If a killer is hellbent on tunneling, all they have to do is find the survivor again. The only difference is that with my suggestion, the killer has to consider their options a little more seriously.
Never said or alluded to killers being my glorified Bots, killers will still have the free will in order to choose what actions that they want to take. I've faced plenty of Pyramid Heads who were able to tunnel out a survivor even when they used cages.
Just like the many complaints of how survivors do gens too fast, complaints of being tunneled/camped out of the game at the start of the match are just as valid. I am all for player agency, but fun for both sides should be equally as important.

Welp hate to tell you. The way to discourage that behavior. Is to make gens take longer in some way or another. Not moving hooks around on the killer 🤣. It's hard to enjoy a match. If within your first down. 2-3 gens can be down. Great.. Only 11 hooks to go while protecting 2 gens from popping
Why can't they do both? I'm all for 15 minute games where survivors have to look for parts and gas cans to fix gens while killers hunt for them and not have the luxary to tunnel/camp/slug at 5 gens.

So is SWF with voice coms. Sometimes people don't use it to sweat & be toxic. 'Sometimes' is not enough of a reason.
More often than not, people use it to depip Killers, bully them, and get unfair advantages. SWFs use it to be lazy.
See how it works in reverse?
Camping, slugging, and tunneling are PLAYER CHOICES. You don't get to demand we play less hard for you. All whining about these tactics is, is trying to tie our hands so you can win easier.
I'm not demanding that you play less hard, I am requesting that the devs make camping, slugging and tunneling less attractive or convenient.
One can also say that people who fully support these tactics at all times just want to be able to win easier, which is true, for if they didn't want an easy win, they wouldn't tunnel, slug or camp at the start of the match.
Also, this has nothing to do with swf. I actually believe that the devs need to balance the entire game around swf on comms. Killers should be buffed so they can have fair matches against cheaters who use outside communications, while also bringing up solo so they don't suffer even more than they already do.
You probably think I am a biased survivor main, but feel free to look up my comment history and you will see I am not.

That sounds like a solo que/potatoe problem. Not a game problem. Especially not to the point something like teleporting hooks need to exist. Sometimes where a killer hooks you. Is for a very specific reason.
It is a game problem. The game is supposed to provide fun for both sides and if the devs want to retain customers, they need to discourage these tactics from being used at the early parts of the match.
"Sometimes" isn't enough of a reason, more often than not, killers camp because they're either lazy or just as bad, if not worse, than the potatoes they're facing.
Other than protecting a totem, there is no reason to camp when there are still 4/5 gens except for being bad, lazy or just wanting to be toxic.
-

Turning points can happen at ANY point in the match though. If I do something to turn the tides in my favor at 5 gens. Then that's where it happens. Teleporting hooks is not a good idea. If you want something to entice a killer away. It needs to be done mechanically with gen speeds. So killers don't need to feel like they need to camp, tunnel, slug
The problem is that lots of times, especially these days, most killers don't feel the need to tunnel/camp/slug at five gens. It's obvious when you're facing a team of solo scrubs who can barely loop, and yet, they choose to just keep on with tunneling and camping.

That's a terrible idea though. I'm sorry. There is no hard concrete number of gens, etc. That can define when you should hook camp or tunnel or not. That takes away killer strategy at times. I'll give you an example. I straight up yoinked someone off my totem that was seconds away from it..I don't want my totem gone..So I didn't give them time to breathe. If they telelport away from where I hooked them..I have to now worry about them going back to my totem. Instead of protecting it by staying on the person who now knows where it is
Example 2: Again yoinked someone off my totem. A second survivor seen me do it. I hooked them right at the totem. And defended my totem and hook. It ended up swinging momentum in my favor and I ended up slugging/hooking all 4 because I defended that area. If my hook teleports away from this tactical spot..I now have 2 people who know where my totem is..And it will be gone with no way of really defending it.
People think these things sound good in theory. But don't realize there's points in the game where slugging/tunneling/hook camping is tactical and swings momentum in a big way.
We can agree to disagree. I don't think it's a terrible idea. It the best idea to prevent the plethora of lazy killers who refuse to leave hooks or only know how to rush a hook the second someone unhooks. Tunneling and camping isn't a problem for swf, but for solo, they're miserable and the devs need to do something so players don't quit from how boring and frustrating it is to be on the receiving end at of these tactics at the start of the match.
I agree that there are points when the best choice is to tunnel/camp/slug, but there should be something that discourages killers from doing so in the beginning of the match.
-
I think the game will come a long way if the Devs would implement teleporting hooks that are only active when 3 or more gens are still needed to be repaired. It will cut down on the tunneling (looking at you, Spirit tunnelers) and make the game much more enjoyable for solo. Once the survivors are down to two gens, the teleporting should be disabled since that is when the killer will need to tunnel most of the time.
-
I'd just climb over the wall and jump off the ledge. I'll keep doing it if the entity keeps resurrecting me.
-
People are crying about Wraith. If they're complaining about him, they'll complain about every killer.
-
I want to be able to kick them in the head or better yet, trap their head in my thighs of steel and cause them to go into dying state.
-
It's good against solo, terrible against swf on coms.
-
Yea, I always start mashing my space button when I get hooked for the second time. Takes me a second to realize that it's changed.
-
I don't have just one.
I love Reese's Puffs, Frosted Krispies, Apple Jacks and Frosted Flakes.
I also like less sweet cereal such as Kix and Special K.
-
The solution would be for people to not buy the sets so the Devs could change their minds about them.
I am of the opinion that there needs to be more slots with individual parts so we can have more customizations and all outfits should be mix'n matchable. We need slots for hats, shoes, pants, shirts, jackets, earrings, glasses, mustaches, beards, eye colors, hair styles, rings/gloves, bracelets, cloaks/capes, and whatever else they can come up with. Then, when they design future cosmetics, they will need to make sure everything works as a stand alone cosmetic.

He's fine as he is, not every killer needs to be as strong as Spirit, nor do they need to be made more fun for every survivor. Frankly, the only survivors who can't handle him are just the bad ones.
If the strategy against all killers were the same, the game would get stale real soon. It's good that it's not. I actually enjoy going against Doctor, Nurse, Spirits (who don't tunnel), Piggies, and Hag. They only become miserable to face when my solo teammates are worse than me.

IMO Claudette is the best out of the three so far. Dwight looks like an entirely new character and IMO deserves polishing (though he's not that bad), and Meg looks pretty good. Old Claudette just looked less natural, and kinda weird tbh.
Dwight just needs his eyes to look like he hasn't slept in a week and he'll look good again. I agree that Meg and Claud look fine.

Have you seen the new models? It doesn't look like anything has changed except for better textures and a little smoothing. The hair is really the only thing that stands out.

They need to give her a new Pippi Longstockings head cosmetic.
-
She probably looks the way she does due to the limitations of the games engine. I mean, look at the new Meg update, the face is just a little smoother with better hair, but it doesn't look like much changed. Heck, look at how Yui looks in her cinematic and look at her in game and you can clearly see that her in game character is taking fashion tips from Voldemort.
-
- It gives you a chance to escape and have a teammate heal you.
- It gives you a chance to escape and use Inner Strength to heal as long as you cleansed a totem before you were hooked.
- It gives you a chance to waste more of a tunneling killers time, buying more time for your teammates to finish gens.
- In conjunction with Borrowed Time, it lets you waste a lot of a tunneling killers time.
- Just as before, it basically gives you a free health state and head start so you can lead the killer to another loop.
As you can see from the above, DS lets you do plenty. The DS nerf was needed a long time ago, it was unhealthy the way it was before, and now it is more fair.
Also, killer mains aren't the only ones to cry. Ruin and Undying were nerfed due to survivor complaints. Spirit, Nurse, and Billy were all nerfed so survivors can have an easier time. Freddy is getting nerfed, and Huntress is as well (though poorly).

It would be so freakin cool to get those chars as Legendary cosmetics for the original ones!!
No, they should be completely new characters. They look like they'd be awesome to have and it wouldn't hurt to have more characters with original chapters. That pre-Claudette looks nothing like what we have now and seems to have a completely different personality to what I envision Claud to have. We should make a separate thread to discuss it and get the devs to notice.
Edit*
I shouldn't have made assumptions, apparently, that woman might have been intended to be Meg.
2nd Edit*
Claudette was in the trailer, she was the dead girl on the hook in the basement. Easy to miss, you have to pause it at the right time.
-
I used to get mad at it, but eventually, I understood that it is just a video game and there is no point in getting angry. All it really is it just a waste of time. So if I were to get mad at anything, it would be myself for playing it.
Now, when something annoying happens, it just rolls off of me since there will always be another match.
-
A little. The Devs have set the bar really low with the last two chapters and the last several "events" if you can call them that. They promised that the Anniversary and Halloween will have their full focus, so they better come up with more than just token cosmetics. I want new game play mechanics and maybe a new holiday event.
I want something like how Blizzard did with pre-expac releases, such as when zombies attacked places before Wrath of the Lich King came out. I know it's a different game, but you get the idea.

I'm bad, so when it comes to chases, all of them. The one I struggle with the most is Trapper though. My feet are like magnets and I always end up walking into traps.
For everyone else saying Clown, that's normal. A good Clown player is something to be feared. They're very strong in a chase if they player knows what they're doing. They only suffer with map pressure, even with the speed gas.

Apparently there is a bug with chests granting more keys than normal. I usually run Plunderers and have noticed the rarity of items that I normally got is actually much worse than they're supposed to be. I'd wait to try out a chest build until they fix it or make one without Plunderers.
-
I think they have the rarity values mixed with Plunderers Instinct. I have been running it non-stop for the last few months and in the last few weeks I have noticed I rarely see rare items anymore and only get brown and yellow with the occasional green. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
-
The lack of puncutation makes it difficult to read your writing so I'll just give you some advice on camping.
How to counter Camping:
- Learn how to loop properly. Decent survivors are able to loop the killer for at least 2 gens. Especially at the start of the match. If survivors are doing everything correct, the killer shouldn't have downed anyone until 2 gens pop. Survivors also have many perks to help stretch out a loop.
- Equip perks such as Borrowed time to help rescue someone being camped.
- Equip perks and bring in tool boxes to help speed up gen times.
- Play immersive. You can waste a lot of the killers time by avoiding them the second you think they're coming for you.
Killer doesn't make points by camping. You lose all of your own points by DCing and make the match harder for your team. The only time the killer makes points by camping is if your teammates keep throwing themselves at him.
And camping isn't the same as taking the game hostage. Survivor is a team player role and your teammates are still able to progress while you are progressing towards your death. You hiding and not progressing the match is against the rules and is in no way the same as camping, and you can get banned for it if you get recorded for it.
Yes, camping is not fun, but it is a part of the game and only bad players fall victim to it. Equip Kindred if you see it as often as people claim they do and stop feeding the killer and you will see less killers doing it.
