Camping
People who say just do gens have never played this game
you get 2 min of gens if you for fact know the killer is gonna camp and you know to just gen rush 2 min thats 3 people on gens for 2 min if there all doing there own gens 2 min is there is 40 seconds to do 2 more gens afterwards so at most you are getting 3+1 and a half gens which gives the killer enough time after killing someone to guess what down another person and begin camping which means 4K aka that guy gets to rank up for camping
not to mention if 2 people get camped in basement because 1 went for the save (or just got down near for other reasons) now 2 people have to do gens which means at most 3 and maybe a half i believe which then 2 people down and its basically just down to a hatch game at that point against any compitent killer camping theres no perks to stop this BT nope cause then its a trade and if its bubba the BT guy even still dies
i just cant understand why people think just do gens its not a valid strat to stop camping neither is going for a rescue

Okay so here's one for ya...
1. Gens have to be done or you're not getting out those doors.
2. Being a locker rat never goes well, don't know if you notice but eventually after a couple of lockers you go and hide in you have crows flying above your nut for 15 seconds grassing you up. You will get caught... and the whole time you're messing about in lockers you could be spending that time distracting the killer or doing gens to get your backsides out of there alive.
3. I despise my team to DC. I've been slugged and I'm not wasting my time watching my health bar go down, looking like a dried up dead kipper. DC isn't a loss for a killer they still get the blood points as if they would for the actual hook and kill itself all you're doing as well is allowing that killer to get under your skin. So you're not actually punishing the killer or denying his points. He's keeping the points and having a chuckling in his killer chair.
Have to think about this game logically. And if this whole thing really bothers anyone to a point their fuming about it, then you're either playing the wrong game or you're taking the game as it to be a life tragedy. There's a difference between reality and gaming. You can switch the consoles or PCs off thats annoying you, but the reality problems you have to solve accordingly. Know the difference. Its a game. Not a life crisis.
Doing gens doesn't stop camping but does punish the killer. By the time the killer has found, downed, and hooked the first survivor, (and then proceed to camp that person through both hook states), the other 3 survivors should have at least 4 gens done easy. Yes it makes for boring game play for everyone but you can't stop people who wanna camp. It sucks, but thats part of the game.
Talking about getting payback to the killer is petty and childish... especially taking the game hostage. If you are first hooked and camped give your team all the time they can to do gens and then move to next game. If you are one of the 3 remaining do gens and move to next game. If the team messes up and gives a killer more then 1 kill then thats on the survivors.
So yes, just do gens and check your rage.
People who post a thread on the forums about how doing gens against a camper clearly has not played the game enough.
The lack of puncutation makes it difficult to read your writing so I'll just give you some advice on camping.
How to counter Camping:
Killer doesn't make points by camping. You lose all of your own points by DCing and make the match harder for your team. The only time the killer makes points by camping is if your teammates keep throwing themselves at him.
And camping isn't the same as taking the game hostage. Survivor is a team player role and your teammates are still able to progress while you are progressing towards your death. You hiding and not progressing the match is against the rules and is in no way the same as camping, and you can get banned for it if you get recorded for it.
Yes, camping is not fun, but it is a part of the game and only bad players fall victim to it. Equip Kindred if you see it as often as people claim they do and stop feeding the killer and you will see less killers doing it.
You can't be camped until you fail as a survivor. A DC just shows you're not even good enough to take a loss.
I would say doing the gens is more of a punishment than anything. Like if the killer wants to face camp the survivor on the hook then he can expect 3 to 4 gens being blown in his face. It's a no brainer. Unless of course one of you have BT then you can try be the brave soldier and get the survivor down and take a punt. But then to the killers point of view I've heard that's tea bagging or body blocking another survivor. ( don't ask how this strategy has been made ) people will post anything on this forum based on the same thing as a reason to just rage. But not understanding that isn't how all killers play, it also gives those killers who read this an ammunition to continue that game play because they'll think it's funny.
you seem to have not read anyhting i wrote earlier either considering you dont understand that you dont get an escape for the person camping you get 4 gens at most which means he has plenty of time to get 2 kills meaning most likely a rank up thats what my stance was about
Unless the survivor who got camped went down immediately at the start of the game, gens should already be getting done by the time a killer hooks the 1st survivor.
If the killer is going to camp then you guys should already be at 3 gens lefts.
If you get into a situation where the killer can camp a survivor at 5 gens, then your team already messed up.
At best a camping killer should only leave with at most 2 kills. Anything more than that means the survivors failed to capitalize on the camp. Now there are exceptions to this. Camping a hook surrounded by a 3 gen is a valid strategy and shouldn't lose the killer the game.
Why does your example assume that all the generators have 0% progress when the facecamping begins? Unless all the survivors decide to afk for the first minute of the match, that's pretty unlikely.
Aww baby survivors are so cute dud <3
I think you will find the majority of posters here have hundreds if not thousands of hours in game.
People who DC when they are being camped deserve their temp bans - because you are denying the other survivors a chance to escape. I have never purposefully DC'd because frankly it is the most selfish thing you can do. I would rather stay on hook - let my team try to gen rush and let the killer end up depipping and getting a horrible score. Your scenario is all fine and dandy except - if one gen was completed before the first hook - or two - which has almost always been the case when I run into a camper - then your "math" doesn't work in the killer's favor at all.
But please purposefully DC when it happens to you because then I have less of a chance of having to team with you while you wait in the ban timeout.
Right there is no need to be a rude jerk and call me a D*** my friend that's a start. Secondly I'm not pushing any beliefs on you or anyway, I just prefer to leave a game if it gets stressful for a bit.
Lastly I read everything that was in that wall of text. And maybe I just have my own opinions and way of playing than you do. So just accept that camping isn't going away and you pushing your tears on a forum about it will just give them ammunition to play that game play even more.
The whole camping game play does suck I completely agree but they ARE wasting valuable time standing and staring at a hook for 2 minutes. With 3 other survivors on gens.
I don't ask for you to agree you can make your own mind up. But please don't be rude to me because my opinion doesn't match yours. I'm not supporting that game play I just know how to hold back anger and tears at a poorly played match.
Sometimes it's about how the survivor counters the killers game play. You either get good, out smart the killer or like you said simply DC. But DC isn't going to do anything to the killer at all. He's still getting his points and probably like i said a good laugh from it.
Face camping can, and should, be countered by doing gens. Period. That's the best time to do them. Too many people break what they're doing immediately to go for the survivor. The altruism is nice, but ultimately the riskier strategy. Sure, if you can get a sense of where the killer is and get in for a lucky quick save that's one thing, but you have to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. Sometimes you just have to leave that survivor (or two) for a little bit while you do gens and only go for the best opportunity for the save when and IF it presents itself.
I just wish that there was something that could balance out the irritation of being the person getting face-camped. It's no fun to just sit there not playing the game. This will probably be met with skepticism or eye-rolling disagreement but I don't know, maybe if there were an item or perk that raised the bloodpoints for being within a certain range of the killer for a certain amount of time, etc., then face-camping would actually be balanced out a bit (I know that killers get a minor BP penalty for hanging out around a hooked survivor but it's not much, nor do I necessarily think that they should be punished). Sitting there just losing and not being allowed to play the game would still suck, but at least a couple thousand sympathy BP would offset the fact that they're otherwise completely deprived of personal progress while it happens. Might also reduce DCs. It wouldn't affect the killer either. So the face-camped survivor gets some extra points for being prevented from playing the game, it doesn't eliminate the (annoying but legitimate) strategy.
tip from someone who plays this game: the first 3 gens are supposed to pop during or shortly after the first chase. if your teammate goes down like a sack of potatoes before you've even touched a generator, then you're losing no matter what the killer does. either you failed to get on a gen, or they failed to chase. either way you're boned.
again none of you clearly read it and just assume love it
i DC after 2 of my teamamtes dead and the last ones already DC'd or is hiding
because were camped out of the game
also no you can win with potato's you cant win against a camper and potato's or just campers because whats winning you escaping no thats not a win
you have to get 2-3 people out with you or its not a win
and its not countered thats not countered the killer doent lose anything they were going for a kill not a win not BP a kill thats what they get you arent countering #########
As the OP has been argumentative with those responding, I am going to go ahead and close this thread up. A reminder that encouraging Unsportsmanlike Behavior (including DCing) is not allowed on the forum, and to keep conversations civil and respectful.
