    While everyone is here-

I think we should stop glorifying Sluzzy as a "god tier" bait poster, this is probably what she wants. She just happened to make a few popular bait discussions, she's nothing special, and I don't think we should put her on a pedestal. So for future reference, don't say things such as "another Sluzzy type thread, or sluzzy's alt account". This will only encourage her to do this more.

I agree. She really has lost her touch. Everything she posts now is uninspired and boring. It's similar to how kids repeat the same thing over and over.

  • You can have Felix, I get to have whatever sexy male character that is coming with the Resident Evil chapter.

I really like the idea of adding a hex shrine to the basement to tell players how many totems are left in the game

This is what they should have done instead of buffing small game.

Only if he has his curls... There's the version of him clean cut and I hate it

I agree, I love his curls, but I'll suffer with the short hair if they throw in a shirtless cosmetic.

  • Carlos is hotter

  • I feel better about myself. I think I only spent about 40 bucks on this game when I first got it. I only paid for the base combo with stranger things, Freddy and Ghostface.

The only way I will spend any more money is if they wow me with the Resident Evil chapter and the 5th anniversary event. They promised they were going to go all out with the anniversary and Halloween events from now on and adding a new character isn't going all out.

*I will buy Claire Redfield tho, I don't care how much it costs.

  • Claudette - She's the best

Demogorgon- With the upcoming update he looks like he will be well rounded and fun.

  • You don't have to justify tunneling, camping or slugging. Just as survivors don't have to justify doing gens, body blocking, or anything else. Do what you think you have to do in order to win as long as you're not breaking any rules or hacking.

  • He is fun to go against if my teammates have more than 2 brain cells. He's miserable when everyone on my team is a bush potato.

    • What most survivors complain about is when the killer intentionally keeps them on the ground when hooks are abundant just to annoy the survivor.

This never happened. It's just survivors playing victim and trying to be the center of the world. For some reason survivors seem to have such low self esteem they think the killer cares about them on a personal level.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2131677#Comment_2131677

In your head 4 minutes is too much time sacrificed for a win? How... sad.

You're doing the same thing that you're accusing survivors of doing.

You don't follow. Why would I want the final hook, the slugged guy will die anyway, I got my 4k. I'm pointin out how survivors love crying about being slugged when they put themselves in that situation. They accuse the killer of holding the game hostage and make ideas in their head of the killer having some personal vendetta against them and enjoying watching them die on the floor instead of putting them on hook. When they themselves don't wanna end the game sooner and be put on a hook.

You're generalizing. Not all survivors love crying about being slugged and those that do can continue to cry, it's what this forum is here for.

You leaving the survivor on the floor due to no hooks being near by is not the complaint most survivors have. What most survivors complain about is when the killer intentionally keeps them on the ground when hooks are abundant just to annoy the survivor. If a survivor does come here to complain about the situation you describe, it's best to just ignore them.

Spine Chill vs the Spirit just lets you know a few moments in advance when you're screwed.

Not true, I've juked plenty of spirits with Spine Chill. All I had to do is slowly walk towards the direction they're most likely coming from while making sure I have LOS blockers to hide behind. She usually ends up phasing to the gen I was on and spends 30 seconds checking behind every tree and rock, looking for me. Many times they pretend to go patrol other gens but immediately phase back 2-3 more times, which just causes me to giggle.

Not every strategy in Dbd against a killer needs to be looping. Stealth is a strong option as long as you know when to use it.

Then same as you're trying to survive the killer is trying to kill, hope you don't go around crying about the evil slugger "holding the game hostage" because he made you waste 4 minutes cuz you refuse to be put on hook. If the survivor refuses to end the game the easy way then they'll have to wait.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2131568#Comment_2131568

It's not the same at all. If you have to slug a 3rd survivor to find the 4th because of some bullshit mechanic that gives whoever is the last man standing a free win with no effort required then the 3rd one has no right to complain, specially when it's his teammate the one just waiting for him to die so they can go through the hatch.

Survivors crying about killers making them waste the full 4 minutes on the floor when they refuse to be picked up, put on hook and accept the loss so the game can end immediatly does give the killer the right to complain. They put themselves in that situation and could have easily ended it but choose not to.

Survivors are not entitled to a win.

Killers aren't entitled to win either. You should have planned out your hooks better, not blame the survivor for your mistake. Survivors aren't obligated to make the game easier or more convenient to you just as killers aren't obligated to give the survivors a fun match.

Part of being a character, survivor or killer, is being aware of your surroundings, that includes hook placements. It's no different with how survivors 3 gen themselves, they put themselves in that situation just like how you put yourself in a situation with no hooks.

You won, you can't find a hook, no problem, leave them slugged and go break pallets or something.

  • I'll do what I can to protect the survivor being tunneled. If the killer refuses to go after anyone and continue to tunnel the poor guy, I'll switch to immersive mode and become one with the bush and make the killer waste as much time as possible looking for me. I'll slowly look for totems, take my sweet time to unlock a chest, hiding the second Spine Chill lights up, even if its for a second, only work on gens after they patrol it and move one to a different one when they come back again so they don't find me.

Yesterday I had an Oni tunnel and mori 2 teammates from the start of the match, even though I through myself at him. I went ultra Claudette mode on his ass. I had a gen at 80% and he came by and couldn't find me. He did 4 patrols until I made a mistake (got a phone call and got distracted) and when he hooked me he kept slashing at me over and over. Unfortunately for him, the Bill signaled that he found the hatch, and poor Oni never got the 4k he so wanted.

  • You're not entitled for an easy hook, even if there is none near by, why should they not struggle? If there is a chance to get away or get more points, it is their right to try. You may not enjoy it, but it is no difference with how annoying it is for a survivor to be slugged so the killer can look for their last teammate in order to 4k, and killers do that often.

  • @sesawyer3127 said:

I think it is a good perk and very useful if you are no where near a survivor and have been hooked twice already then SC is a def must. I try not to rely on it because it takes up so much time unless you stack it with Botany. Inner Strength is better but sometimes those totems are hidden pretty well in maps like Midwich and Lery's.

Inner Strength is nice, but it sucks so much when your teammates cleanse totems or if someone else is using the perk. I have to bring in a med kit every match for back up, just in case I can't find a totem. Thinking to go back to SC just because Inner Strength can be so annoying.

I really like the idea of giving him a speed boost whenever someone gets trapped. Would make his chase power WAY better and it'd allow him to get to survivors and worry less about them getting out of a trap. Scott Jund had this in his Trapper rework idea I think.

It won't make him A-tier but it could make him B+ at best. Also, I'm thinking about Logwood Dye being base-kit. It's not even that good of an add-on, but it would help his traps be a bit less visible considering that these newer maps have given Trapper a rougher time recently. However, nerf Tar Bottle to work like usual, y'know? Oh and Trapper Sack to his base-kit obviously. Or bag.

I like that idea! I will settle for this idea with a base carry of 2 traps as long as the speed boost is more significant than Clowns new bottles.

  • @Yords said:

Unfortunately, I don't think Trapper can be A-tier unless every map is reworked to be more balanced after he gets a bunch of buffs. He could get buffs right now, but the maps will still be an issue, and not just for Trapper actually.

His power is inconsistent, and even more inconsistent on different maps such as the indoor ones or larger ones since his whole power becomes significantly weaker.

Indoor maps should make Trappers traps invisible. 😋

  • They're fine as they are. Just had the sweatiest Oni who just tunneled everyone on hook in order to mori them out of the match asap and not have to worry about wasting time hooking or risk flashlight saves. Old moris should have never been a thing.

*Note: Yes, I know keys are still a thing and they need to be nerfed into the ground as well, the devs have already stated they are, hopefully it'll come with the next major patch or at least the next chapter.

  • All he needs is to start with and be able to carry 3 traps at base and to have all traps spawn closer to the center. Maybe a bit more consistency with the amounts of trap spawns on each map. Maybe slightly faster trap setting speed?

I wouldn't mind if he'd start with all his traps, but that could be miserable for the first person he hooks. He's not A-tier right now, but if they buff him too much he will be miserable to go against.

  • Fixing the bugs associated with the Nurse might bring back more Nurse played. That is something Behavior doesn't want.

the killer should've done a bigger job on generators.

    • why is it not on a totem at the start of the match?
    • why is there no activation condition?
    • why is it not known until someone takes a hit?

it's a good perk, but let's not act like it's something earned. especially not on the scale of devour. if i'm being honest, it's not even earned on the same scale as agitation.

It is earned if the killer was able to pressure the survivors hard enough to not cleanse totems.

It becomes a punishment if the survivors refuse to cleans totems when facing a bad killer.

If the killer was bad, the survivors should have plenty of time to do totems. Heck, all you have to do is wait for it to proc and look for the lit totem.

  • By the time DvH takes effect, I usually have done 2/3 bones and I instantly curse my teammates for never looking for totems. I turn on my superior bush mode and become one with nature until I can find the totem or until someone else does. If it's Ghostface, I let him mori me since I love their mori and my totem cleansing averse teammates can all die.

Well that's different because there's the EGC in play.

And sure; play however you want. Just don't take the game hostage and hide for ten literal minutes if there's no sign of victory.

Don't worry, I'll never hold the game hostage. But I will take my sweet time looking for totems and opening chests before I reveal myself, only if the killer played scummy from the start and it's obvious my team is a bunch of solo potatoes.

Face camping is the equivalent of teabagging it only seeks for rage quits and hate mails and bans if you choose facd camping dont cry when some crybaby survivors false report you again im not false reporting in any way im only giving the lowest possible ratings after the match and move on sometimes if i feel like staying i will if not i will not

Incorrect. Face camping is just a bad strategy against good survivors and a good strategy against bad, whiny and selfish survivors who rage quit and falsely report people. Thankfully, the devs require footage before they ban anyone for anything happening in-game. Most reports just end up in the trash.

  • No need to insult him, it's better to just ignore them instead. It's obvious that any type of discussion with them is useless. Watch this instead, if your username is anything to go by, I think you'd like it much more.

Yea no one has said Carlos and Jill so or Carlos and Claire.

I mentioned a shirtless Carlos with an image in a different thread. I have another one where all he is wearing is a green undies and some weapons gear, but I'm scared its too risque for the forums and I don't want to get banned.

  • I rather have Carlos over any other male. We need a hot Latin man in DbD with a revealing cosmetic, hopefully.

  • @aroell said:

Why not? It’s a very unpleasant experience. I also have every right to complain.

If you can't handle 2 minutes of waiting to help your teammates, then this game isn't for you. You have the right to complain, you don't have the right to handicap your team, that's just selfish.

  • @Zaytex said:

It's annoying to just spend 10 minutes finding the last 2 survivors with 5 generators left.

You're obviously going to lose. So just make it quick and end the game fast, it's annoying for both sides to just waste ten minutes.

It isn't a guarantee. I have escaped many times by being able to be patient and slowly prep the gate to just before the light comes on, then waiting for the killer to come by and leave, only to open it before he comes back.

If the killer is running Corrupt Intervention, Pop, Ruin, and Undying, I feel no remorse in dragging the game out. They want a long game, I'll give them one.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/243708/suicide-on-hook-for-face-camping-justified

I'd say this is very justified... I normally suicide on the hook with a face camper or if there 3 people working on gens AS IF I'm gonna waste my time wetting my pants on the hook until someone gets me.. imma bail and go into another match. Especially if its spirit or wraith. You're all screwed see ya later team😂

The fact that you have trouble versing a Wraith speaks volumes about your skill.

  • Reading threads like this, along with all of OP's responses, is making me fear that the Cult of Sluzzy is expanding.

  • @HuDawg said:

the camped survivor is useless and dead anyways so why not get this over with?

Its so you can discourage killers from camping in the future while giving precious time for your teammates to at least get 2 or even 3 people out. Survivor is a team player role, it's not all about you. Hang on so your team can have a chance to punish the killer. Sometimes, when I get camped, I get saved and escape because my teammates were actually really good and distracted the killer and had borrowed time.

Now, if you're hooked and your team is just hiding in bushes and doing nothing, I see nothing wrong with not struggling when you get to second stage.

  • I did it once or twice back when I first started playing (right when Stranger Things came out) and was just a young sapling. All I can remember was getting super frustrated while also having a heart attack versing Ghost Face. I haven't done it since since I try to always respect my teammates and the killer. Though, if I'm on the hook and everyone is just crouched in a bush, I'll not struggle if I get to second stage.

can't make ruin basekit without screwing up pop, overload, etc

there's a bunch of misc killer perks that would be super nice on basekit, like bitter murmur or insidious. but that's a seperate topic, really. this is about balancing survivors between solo and swf, not about balancing between survivor and killer.

I disagree, if you want to talk about balancing solo and swf, then you must also discuss balancing killers as well. Queue times are already long enough, if solo gets buffed before killers do, and not at the same time, expect the queues to go up even more. Any buffs to solo should be done at the same time, not before, as killers.

  • @Zaytex said:

I'd be down for it if Corrupt or some killer perk was made basekit as an equivalent buff.

Make ruin non hex and basekit. Lots of solo players keep begging to get buffed to swf level and then buff killers, then one of the buff should be strong gen regression.

    1. A baseball bat that lets me slug my teammates for farming me in front of the killer.
    2. A smoke bomb that blinds everyone in an area except the user for 5 seconds.
    3. Trip wire that slows the killer down for 3 seconds.

I totally agree as a solo player I actually enjoy solo survivor as I feel like I'm truly trying to survive not only the killer but my team lol

Best luck in the fog solo warrior!

    💖🐷

You too! I actually like the current difficulty of solo, I don't think killers or noed needs nerf (I get accused of being a killer main when I defend it), I just think matchmaking needs work and solo will be great.

I just wish Inner Strength let me hold 2 charges if I cleansed 2 totems.

  • Do what I did with my short stint of playing killer, switch to playing solo survivor. As miserable as solo can be, it's not as bad as people on here make it out to be and it is much, much less stressful than playing killer.

  • I wish I could find these survivors. All I get are tryhards who keep failing to flashlight blind and refuse to heal.

  • Are you talking about being able to pounce through a window? I'm pretty sure that has always been intentional with the little gremlin.

  • I don't think there is a problem with it. The game isn't balanced around swf on comms so I don't blame any killer who doesn't want to play against them. It's no different from players DCing when they see a hidden offering or suiciding when they get downed at the start of the match. Devs really can't do anything about it since they can't force people to play.

If they want to fix the lobby dodging they should be working on fixing core issues such as tunneling and camping from the start of the match to how fast generators get completed. They can also balance the game around communications or at least buff killers and solo to be on par with swf. They should also do it without band-aiding everything with perks.

  • No indoor map please, especially if it's going to be as annoying as Midwich.

  • I really hope they do this, I'd start playing killer again if they do and not neuter the killer before release. (Though, with their track record, I'll still wait 3 months before I buy anything).
