I mean, I don't blame the rest of the team. The first person who dc'd was just a turd. But if 5 gens were still up, 3 solo against Freddy is miserable.

No, I feel like Kindred base-kit would just water down the game. I'd rather they introduce a system similar to what Scott Jund discussed in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPukUi7Oz3gI don't think it needs to be as complex as he has described, but I do think everyone should have Obsession Icons on their portraits and the actual obsession would have their highlighted in red. When the killer is in a chase, the icons would wiggle like they currently do, but for anyone who is in chase, not just the obsession.
A tiny generator icon would appear on someone portrait when they're working on a gen and a tiny hex icon would appear when someone is cleansing a totem. This way, you give survivors just enough information to base their decisions upon without overly watering the game down.

"Soon enough, survivors won't be able to suicide on the hook, and then I'll be able to camp and tunnel even more, because that is just how bad I am at this game!" =]
Yeah, claim it is about everyone's fun, but in fact you just want to play a douche and have people put up with you. :) People are back to disconnecting, and they should be.
You keep assuming I play killer, I don't. I haven't even touched killer in almost 3 months. I have close to 3k hours in the game and almost 2800 hours are mainly survivor. I joined this game because I loved the idea of sneaking around and thought it was originally a hide and seek game (If my name and avatar weren't enough clues, I prefer playing immersive). I knew nothing about looping until long after I started playing and saw a few videos on you tube.
And no, people are not back to disconnecting. I have seen less dcs and less suicides since the penalties were introduced. But hey, everyone is free to do so if they wish, I hope all the selfish people who don't care about abandoning their teammates continue to dc over and over so that in the future, their bans will be long enough that I'll no longer have to go against the killer with only 2 teammates at 5 gens.

Actually, the game has existed for a lot longer WITHOUT the disconnect penalty than with it. If you just arrived, perhaps this isn't the game for you. =]
Plus, you're either a teenager or someone who didn't study anything about human psychology to think that punishment changes behavior, son. It doesn't. There is a short period of time right after the application of the punishment when the trend changes. People are back to dc. And I'll remain here, for your pleasure. <3
PS: It is not about the killer's fun, right? So if it sucks for the other four players to play against a camper/tunneler - and it always does - they should be punishing the selfish ass who is ruining it for everybody else. ;)
PPS: If they want people to stop disconnecting, the tome missions are far more effective than the dc penalty.
I've been here long before the penalty was introduced. The game is still enjoyable for me, even with all the tunneling and camping killers and the DC penalty makes the game even more enjoyable for me!
You're wrong about punishments. Punishments certainly do change peoples behavior. Rather than being rash and repeating the mistake again, people would tend to think twice before they do something that leads to a punishment. As for the DC penalty, if the abusers refuse to change, that's fine too! They can just get longer and longer bans until they can't play anymore, perfect for selfish players who only care about themselves.
It's about everyone's fun, not just yours or the killers. 3 other survivors had to wait anywhere from 5-20 minutes depending on the time of day and location. Believe it or not, there are lots of good survivors that enjoy getting tunneled because they're not terrible at the game and know how to loop for 2 or more gens. Heck, I'm probably one of the worst players in this game, and I even have carpal tunnel that causes my fingers to lock up or get numb, and I was able to loop a Ghost Face for 3 gens and an Oni for 2 gens at the start of the match. The Ghostface camped me, but you know what, I didn't dc like a selfish baby, I held on so my three random teammates can get out.
DC penalties are working well, no need to mess with the tome missions. Soon enough, survivors won't be able to suicide on hook either, which will make the game even more enjoyable! That way, the DC penalties will just keep on increasing so the majority of players won't have to deal with selfish players anymore.

They unbalanced the game. We pay for the game to have fun. If people are not having fun, they're not going to put up with ****** camper/tunnelers just to indulge them. And now they nerfed the only anti-tunnel perk, DS, I've seen a rise on disconnects after that. And I don't blame them.
When it is not Tome season and I am in a hurry to finish all the missions, I'll admit that I have often disconnected when facing that kind of player. That is evidence that the positive stimulus of the tome is far more effective than the dc penalty.
It's not all about you, people who support dc penalties pay for this game to have fun. It's not fun to have someone DC because the killer found them first, or because it's Ultra Slowdown Freddy. It just wastes their time, just like how DC penalties waste your time for DCing.
The solution is simple, stop dcing and you would only get short penalties when the game does indeed crash, which is much more rare than people who complain about the penalties want to admit. Or you can keep dcing so you can get banned more and more and stop ruining other peoples matches.
If the above isn't enough for you, then Dbd isn't the game for you and you should find something else to waste your time with.
-
- Buff Trapper
- Introduce teleporting hooks
- swimming trunks Jeff and Felix
-
Barbara better make it into the game or there will be hell to pay!
-
Tunneling and Camping are fine when there are 2 gens left, the killer really doesn't have much of a choice unless they're playing Nurse or Spirit. Its just super frustrating when it happens at the start of the match and I believe the devs need to take Pyramid Head's teleporting cage and apply it to hooks when there are 3-5 gens. Just let the survivor teleport away from the killer once they get hooked, but once survivors complete 3 gens, the teleporting should stop.
This would immensely improve solo play, as things are now, killers have gotten lazier (it's their right, not arguing that people shouldn't play how they want) and devs should change it up to make it fun for more people.
-
I doubt it would win but that Jeff cosmetic would win by mounds and peaks. I'd go back to playing killer just so I could chase him.

Is it not possible to remove or change it?

Why not both? Why not only allow the hatch to appear after 5 gens are completed and nerf keys to where they take 15 seconds to unlock the hatch and only be usable for the key holder.
-
Monstrous Shrine should have a tentacle effect that pulls a survivor into the basement when certain conditions are met. I dunno what those conditions are, but it would be funny watching someone struggle against a black tentacle, grasping at the walls and floors, trying to escape.

Frozen Blueberries and Frozen Dark Cherries are delicious too! I recommend you just buy the frozen bags from Walmart, they pick them at peak ripeness so they will taste better than buying fresh and freezing them yourself.

If you see a Meg dropping god pallets early,
sandbag her until she DC'sgive her a medkit so she will stay calm.Try the head nodding and tbags of innocence to let them know that is is okay, and that the killer is somewhere else.
People seem to REALLY hate on newer players, but don't hate on them, hate on the MMR system we have. It's not their fault for being misplaced with a bunch of veterans.
It is actually kind of funny trying to get a Dweet to help you finish generators. Instead of yelling at them in endgame chat, give them some tips. It is just really mean and dumb honestly when people get upset and tell someone they are trash at the game when they are clearly new.
Your comment about Meg made me nearly choke on a chunk of mango. I just died in a match due to the inactivity of a Meg.
-
I don't just root for it, I relish it. Solo queue is hard enough as it is and when I get a teammate who farms their team or refuses to do gens and hide near the killer to constantly try flashlight saves, failing every time, I pray that they get caught.
I love it when a toxic teammate is t-bagging at the exit gate a little too far from the finish line and gets downed with NOED. It makes my night and gives me good dreams.

That's what usually happens, we don't look for totems because the lack of communication will have us solo players going in circles for ages trying to confirm all totems are destroyed. This is just for a perk that the killer could be using, we might be looking for totems for absolutely no reason, meaning you see survivors ignore bones since it just cause too much problems than it solves.
Thats the thing, you don't need to look for totems throughout the match. Do the ones that you naturally spot when walking from gen to gen. If the killer turns out to have NOED, then you know that you did your part and shouldn't feel guilty for leaving your teammate behind, unless they wasted a lot of the killers time.If you must rescue them, you should 99 the gate and turn up the volume to hear the burning totem. It's how I find it in most matches. Heck, I find Ruin and Undying by sound long before I see them and I don't use any perks to find them.
The only thing solo needs is a candelabra in the basement. Every time a totem is cleansed, one candle gets put out. The information shouldn't be free and involve some risk since cleansing totems removes a whole perk form the killers toolkit, and the basement is risky enough, and it would give killers some reason to run that perk that notifies them if a survivor is in the basement.

What? I’m talking specifically a fallen angel from heaven. She’s a beautiful queen and Claudette has nothing on her. Whenever I look at Yui’s face, it’s so bright that I could get blinded by looking at her. That’s how beautiful she is.
Fallen angels become demons when they get expelled from heaven. They lose their light and connection to heaven and become corrupt and evil. I mean, they fell out of heaven for a reason.......
So by default, Claudette is more beautiful and better than Volde-Yui.
Also, it's not that Yui's face is bright, its that it is so hideous that it makes one go blind from the sheer horror that it emits.
-
A fallen angels true form is actually hideous. They use their power to look beautiful and deceive their victims! So ha! You admit it yourself with that statement!
Claudette's appearance is to just lower her opponents guard so they don't expect the world of pain she's going to bring down upon them.

Running Small Game for NOED is like using Franklin's to counter keys. You shouldn't need to use perks to counter other perks, there should be natural counterplay. Yet there isn't in solo queue, even with small game because you still don't know if there's totems remaining or not, so you either waste time being sure you got everything or say, good enough and risk NOED. Heck, the killer might not have it and you did that for nothing.
Yet, killers can determine whether or not there's a DS if there's NO obsession. And, they can just play nice to avoid the perk, no perk needed.
You don't need to know if there are totems or not. You can just make sure that you're not spotted when the last gen pops and then go look for the glowing, cackling totem. Or, you could just leave through the exit gate. Just as the killer isn't entitled to a 4k, survivors aren't entitled to save their teammates and escape.

(Oh, and Elodie at least has a sense of style.)
Your cookies must be laced with something very strong. You have obviously mixed up Claudette and Yui. And Elodie can be the African queen for all I care, for Claudette is far above royalty. None can match her majesty and might.

Yui does not have a deformed nose. That’s not nice when it’s referring to a woman that created a women’s movement to help other women that deal with what Yui went through with that stalker. Yui could help Claudette get through anything she’s going through only because Yui is an amazing person. Claudette should be thankful Yui would be willing to help her.
Claudette needs no one's help! Nothing is too difficult for her. Claudette would have never struggled with the stalker for she would have banished him to the lowest depths of the shadow realm, where they will forever do battle with the shadow of Seto Kaiba.
I am not here to be nice, I just state the truth, Yui looks like Voldemort! It's why she covers her mouth and nose with a bandana.

Not only is Yui the best female survivor, she’s the best character in DBD. In fact, I would have to say that she’s the best video game character of all time. You know what, I might even say that she’s the best fictional character of all time. Screw it, no one beats Yui, no person, animal, plant, or anything ever is better than Yui.
Claudette transcends video games. Claudette surpasses reality and time. If she so wished, she could make it so Yui never existed. It is by Claudettes kindness that Yui remains alive, for she feels sympathy for the deformed nose upon Yui's face.

You are blind or have zero taste if you think Claudette is Ugly. She is the best female survivor, no one else comes close!
She's smart, beautiful, kind, caring, generous, protective and powerful. Killers fear her power and abilities. Not even the entity can reign her in. She participates in the trials for fun, whenever she wants, only to punish evil killers. The entity tried multiple times to eject her, but her mastery of the shadows put her far above anything the entity can accomplish.

While that sounds neat, the range currently depends on the killer's TR, so killers like Myers or anyone with a below average TR gets less value out of it. If you find out they have Starstruck, you best hide for a majority until it's safe.
I know, but they can change it and base it on distance. They can make the area of effect in the shape of a cone that goes where ever the killer is facing. Then again, I'm bad at this game so no one needs to take my suggestions, and as you said, we can just hide until it wears off.

Not a cool down, but smaller range that is just large enough to prevent body blocking.

The killer did a 3 gen. I don't play doc but I main trapper. 3 gens are the fault of the survivors. The killer can try to push you off a specific 3 but he can't pressure 4 people at the same time. 3 gens can be beaten or even prevented from occurring. Did he refuse to chase people to protect his 3 gens? Yes but there's nothing wrong with that. The devs have not stated you have to chase a survivor if you see them. Did the match last too long? Most likely but I doubt it was actually 40 mins. The doc choose a particular way to play and they are entitled to that since it didn't break any rules. Like basement bubba. It's not fun but it's not illegal.
I actually agree with your sentiments, it's just one of the mods have already confirmed that if the killer refuses to commit to a chase for a long time, they will be regarded as holding the game hostage. I don't agree with it, but it is what it is and no use arguing about it.

Just thought I'd point out how hypocritical your statement here is. You apparently, and a lot of others that mainly play killer and come here for the echo chamber, say both sides have issues that need to be addressed.. and then continue by saying survivor players basically have no right to complain about anything because it's harder to play killer.. that's how you see it, and you have every right to believe what you want based on your experience, but that doesn't mean anyone who's opinion differs is inherently wrong.
Instead of listening to complaints and trying to legitimately figure out what's really wrong and how things could be made better, you complain that they just don't know how to play like so many people do to squash dissenting opinions (because that at all helps the game get better for everyone involved, right?). That any survivor ever that has any qualms at all is just bad at the game, not that there are legitimate issues that need to be resolved. Every last one. Come on, man, at least be honest.
News flash, but not everyone sees it that way. In fact a lot of people, myself, included, find playing killer to be generally easier and definitely more rewarding (literally) save for those times, that are few and far in between, where you face a decently coordinated SWF which aren't as common as y'all act like they are. In fact altruism typically cripples them.
There are far too many variables to say, objectively, that one side is better off than the other, yet y'all come here to perpetuate that killer is the hardest role in the game, consistently. I'd beg to differ and say solo que survivor is, but I digress.
A killer can have a game where the survivors do 0-1 gens because they're getting face camped/tunneled by a killer with insta down abilities in a dead zone, yet somehow even though almost nothing happened the killer makes 23k+ BP where the most a survivor makes is 5k. I use this example because it literally JUST happened, and it consistently happens.
In fact, every single game since the update with the new killer, people have been increasingly scummy for no reason. A lot of games ending up with a 4k at 4-5 gens because of insta downs, ya know, like getting iri huntress five times in a row just to get a doctor with the new killers insta down perk (which is atrocious given the size of his terror radius, encompassing some maps) and a Ghostface with insta expose addons and you know how breaking him out always goes, because it doesn't build up so all he has to do is dip for half a second and you can't expose him. 🙄
Also is it just me or is there something wrong with stuns, more so than before? A lot of people are reporting stuns not actually stunning whether it be locker or pallets. Half the time you get a stun and get hit after they get stunned from the opposite side of the pallet. I played killer and pallets that should've stunned me slid off my face like hot butter. I even got blinded perfectly while picking up a survivor and it didn't make me drop her. Let me guess, you're going to say stuns not working as intended is just part of the update and people need to 'just get better and never use any resources in the game 🤪'
There's never been a better time to be a killer.
I am not a hypocrite and I don't appreciate you accusing me of being one. I have 2,950 hours in this game and the majority of that time is in Survivor. At most, I probably have 200 hours played as killer. Never have I said survivors have no right to complain about anything, they can complain about what ever they want, but as you said they shouldn't just expect everyone to agree with them.
It is obvious OP doesn't play killer. All one has to do is load up killer on a weekend night or late weekend evening and they will quickly learn how strong survivors truly are and how common coming across a swf team really is. Things might be different today since crossplay has diluted the player pool, but when I only played against steam players, the difference between good survivors and bad was night and day.
Solo queue isn't hard because of game design, it is hard because it lumps up players of different skill. The main thing that solo needs is proper ranking and matchmaking. If you put equally skilled survivors against an equally skilled killer (barring Nurse), the survivors will always come out on top.
If the survivors can't have 1 gen done before the killer downs someone, then that is the fault of the survivors poor skill, not the killer. It's because the survivor doesn't know the basics of looping or even just running before the killer gets near. Ever since I read people complaining about survivors just "pushing W" and how strong it is, I started doing it and I can now waste enough time for my team to get at least one gen done. All I have to do is be aware of my surroundings and the second I see the killer coming for me from the distance, I just bolt it to a jungle gym or L-T wall. Half the time they end up breaking chase with me, thinking I'm a good looper, when I am really not. Throw in lithe and I can waste even more of their time.
You are correct in that there was never a better time to be a killer. I've seen videos of the horrible crap that killers had to put up with, and it's good that the devs have made strides in making easier for killer. But just because it is easier doesn't mean the killer role is easy (Unless they're playing Freddy (who is getting nerfed soon-yay!) or Spirit.
I just wish players like the OP would go play killer during prime gaming hours and experience it before they come and rant about the devs being killer sided. They'll quickly learn that it isn't except for a few killers.
As for stuns, I've experienced it too, others on here mentioned it and it's most likely a bug that they'll hopefully fix soon.
Finally, I have seen an increase in sweaty killers. As I mentioned in the post before this one, I don't think they need nerfs, I think the game just needs adjustments (new action icons, teleporting hooks). I also do wish solo survivors would punish tunneling killers by rushing gens or playing as immersive as possible to bore the crap out of the killer. Killers and Survivors are in a good place and I hope the balance stays similar to what it is now.

I think that is a little bit too easy of an answer to say "well maybe your just bad at the game"? I am a red rank survivor and have been playing the game now for maybe four months and can tell you the rate that killers are winning now as compared to when I first entered the red ranks maybe three months ago are astounding. I play 3-4 hours a night and play with many two and three man teams and can tell you I have went from winning 7-8 games a night to maybe one or two. Now, I am good enough to handle my own in the game and I know the players I play with are damn good and yet we are still losing far more than ever before?? For me, over the last couple of months, that's hundreds of games with thousands of players who are all red rank,,,they cant ALL be bad at the game? So, I am honestly confused as to where these SWF teams and dope survivors out there who are dominating the game because I havent seen anything like that. Not saying they dont exist but I dont think it is as prevalent as some killer mains are making it out to seem. This is not even talking about survivors who play solo like me,,,its way worse!! Also, I dont think the game is any harder and as a survivor I even agreed with the new DS so its not that me and other players skill level has decreased or a reliance on the perks/add on's that maybe have been nerfed. I play the same as I did four months ago and would like to think my skill level has actually increased.
All you have to do is play killer on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and you will find all the good survivors. Play after 9PM as killer on weekdays and you will find sweaty swf as well.
Most of the 3k hours I have in the game is playing survivor. I had a small stint as killer, maybe 100-150 hours, and it has shown me how bad at survivor I really am. There are lots of good survivors out there, the problem is, they usually play in swf and are vastly out numbered by solo players. When you get a good survivor on your team, if you're paying attention, you can tell that they're good.
Most of the complaints about killers comes from solo survivors. It makes sense, you don't normally see what your teammates are doing, you mostly interact with the killer and think the killer is too strong to even have a chance, when the truth is, the team you're with is just incompetent. There is always that one survivor who is crawling without Urban Evasion, the other who stops what ever they're doing to run and try for a flashlight save, fail at it, lost time doing gens, and easily get downed as soon as the killer hooks someone else. Then you have the teammate who only searches chests and hides for most of the match, hoping to use their key while everyone dies. Then you have the teammate who thinks they're pro at looping and goes down in 8 seconds and suicides on hook or dc's.
I'm not saying survivors don't have some issues that need fixing, I just don't think it needs to be in the form of nerfing killers. If devs listened to all the rants about killers being OP, there would be no killers left. What needs to change is to implement teleporting hooks to prevent camping from the start of the match. This should only be in effect when there are more than 2 gens since hooking someone in a 3 gen area is a valid and fair strategy. I also think self care should be base kit since it wouldn't do anything for swf, yet it would open a perk slot for solo players who are scared to rely on their teammates. There should also be small symbols on everyone's avatar to show what their doing. A little running icon for when they're being chased, a tiny generator icon for when they're working on a gen, a hex icon if they're working on a totem, and a locker icon if they're doing nothing but hiding.
Finally, I also think some killers are OP, I just don't complain about them since everyone else is doing a fine job without me. I can't wait for Freddy's nerf, I would like a Spirit nerf due to how they always love to tunnel (I don't say anything about her though because killer players do need a strong killer for swf and I have no solution for nerfs without gutting her), and I hate good Hillbillies with all of my heart because they always one shot me and can end games really fast, but I'm sure thats because I am bad. Nurse shouldn't even be in today's game, but it wouldn't be fair to remover her for all the people who have dedicated the time and energy to learn her, and she's really the only killer that super sweaty swfs can't bully.

He's a taken man of course he doesn't want you, Claudie; he's already being fought over by Felix, Jake, and David.
I don't need commitment! Just let me have him once a week when the others are busy!

I'm consitently rank 1 survivor. PM me and add me on steam. We'll just do 1v1 killer survivor game.
As I told you, I am terrible at the game, so no need to PM you. If you're as good as you claim you are, you probably rely too much on your second chance perks and are so used to being in control of chases that you just don't want to face strong killers. Don't worry though, with the Devs track record, you won't face many of them.

You haven’t seen what Yui did to that stalker then

Yui is tough enough that even if she did get stabbed, she would pull through and finish the fight.
The fight would have been finished before it even started, for Claudette would have teleported to Yuis abode and laced her food with poison. There is no beating the Claudette, for Claudette is far beyond mankinds puny mortal brains.

Claudette would just hide in a dark corner of the apartment. Yui wouldn’t be able to find her at all!
That's just what we want you to think.

Yui has incredible instincts that she doesn’t even need to see.
The knife would be embedded into her torso before her instincts registered what happened.
