Judgement needs to be nerfed to the ground. Lots of aura reading and endless ammunition which you can curve and which gives you killer instinct and ignores obstacles.
At this point, just remove the Huntress from the game, poor thing. And the Deathslinger. Why play them?
Judgement needs a limited number of rays, after which he should go to one of the statues to recharge. The killer needs to be slower as well.
And aura-reading should be severely limited.
-
This killer needs to be nerfed to the ground. Easy aura-reading add-ons and shooting non-stop? Why not limit it like the huntress. WHY play the huntress when you have infinite, ignore-obstacles shots?
They need a limit, they need to lose a lot of the aura reading, and they need to lose killer instinct.
-
Another survivor nerf to the only decent counter to the aura reading perks - which make stealthy survivors get easily downed.
The devs certainly have nothing better to do than to make the game unenjoyable and unplayable.
-
Yep. Gave it another try. Still sucks.
I`d play 5-10 matches in a row. Now, I play one and exit the game. Thanks, BHVR, for ruining it. It helped me get rid of an addiction.
-
Well, I gave it a try. Never used DH, so can`t talk about that one.
Spine Chill is a LOT less useful - which means the game is better for stealth killers, which sucks.
Iron Will? Never using it again. It is completely useless now. Seriously. You`re loudly moaning all the time. It`s pathetic.
Good thing is I had kind of an addiction to this game. Thanks BHVR for making me NOT want to play it anymore.
-
This new killer is totally OP. He moves really fast, has a distance attacks and zombie minions to slow survivors down. If anything, he needs to be nerfed.
-
Where do we input the codes? I couldn't find anywhere to do that.
EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

OoO wasn't nerfed, it was fixed, so that's only like 3 perks in your definition of nerfed, where killers got way more perks nerfed
It was definitely nerfed. I'm just glad I got her adept before this nerf, otherwise it would've been impossible.

Even though Wraith can handle the perk better than the others doesn’t mean Myers, Ghost Face, Pig, and even Deathslinger (with M&A) deserve to be stuck with the aftermath of a perk that defeats their purpose.
Yeah, it actually means that. Survivors way of detecting killers is the terror radius. Your killer doesnt have one? It should be nerfed. Oh, you dont wanna nerf it? Deal with spine chill.
-
What needs a nerf is almost every killer. Then you can complain about Spine Chill. DS was already nerfed, making it pretty useless and rewarding tunnelers. People facing tunnelers should disconnect.
-
They should definitely take the d/c penalty out. The game is completely unbalanced. Nobody should be force to spend their time indulging #########.
-
Given that they nerfed DS, they should also remove the ridiculous disconnect penalty. People still disconnect, and the system can't tell the difference between disconnects from their end (which shouldn't happen, and if happen and they can't control it, they shouldn't have the lame penalty) and people disconnecting - which is also legit. Nobody has to put up with toxic trashy players.

As shown in the recent Q&A stream, we have a proposed rework for Object of Obsession and we really want to hear the Community's Feedback on this.
Please comment your thoughts, ideas etc onto this thread for us to gain as much information as we can with regard to the above proposal.
Keep it civil please and be as constructive as possible, otherwise your comments will be removed and your feedback then not heard!
{disclaimer - remember this is just a proposal for a change, not a guarantee that it will change or will take this form}
Just don't do it. Keep it as it is. No need to nerf a high-risk perk.

Disconnecting is - and should be - fine. You reasons are your own, and even more so if they are health issues. The DC penalty is ridiculous and should go. Players who are like "you should keep playing or get a penalty" are similar to college kids who can't get a 'no' mid-date - "you're ruining our fun!" and, later on, will apply the 'penalty' by saying things about the girl who changed her mind.

I've been here long before the penalty was introduced. The game is still enjoyable for me, even with all the tunneling and camping killers and the DC penalty makes the game even more enjoyable for me!
You're wrong about punishments. Punishments certainly do change peoples behavior. Rather than being rash and repeating the mistake again, people would tend to think twice before they do something that leads to a punishment. As for the DC penalty, if the abusers refuse to change, that's fine too! They can just get longer and longer bans until they can't play anymore, perfect for selfish players who only care about themselves.
It's about everyone's fun, not just yours or the killers. 3 other survivors had to wait anywhere from 5-20 minutes depending on the time of day and location. Believe it or not, there are lots of good survivors that enjoy getting tunneled because they're not terrible at the game and know how to loop for 2 or more gens. Heck, I'm probably one of the worst players in this game, and I even have carpal tunnel that causes my fingers to lock up or get numb, and I was able to loop a Ghost Face for 3 gens and an Oni for 2 gens at the start of the match. The Ghostface camped me, but you know what, I didn't dc like a selfish baby, I held on so my three random teammates can get out.
DC penalties are working well, no need to mess with the tome missions. Soon enough, survivors won't be able to suicide on hook either, which will make the game even more enjoyable! That way, the DC penalties will just keep on increasing so the majority of players won't have to deal with selfish players anymore.
"Soon enough, survivors won't be able to suicide on the hook, and then I'll be able to camp and tunnel even more, because that is just how bad I am at this game!" =]
Yeah, claim it is about everyone's fun, but in fact you just want to play a douche and have people put up with you. :) People are back to disconnecting, and they should be.

Camping should be addressed by giving survivors more options outside of perks, and then maybe there wouldn’t even need a reason to suggest that kindred should be built-in. Camping is a problem even in SWF.
Camping (along with other abusive actions) are the common denominator for why people even whine about solo Q.

This. We need to give killers more reason to leave hook.
It's kind of sad how, even with BBQ, Make Your Choice, Pop and the new No Way Out, a lot of killers still resort to camping and tunneling.
There really isn't a way to stop camping or tunneling, if a killer wants to do these they can and will and others will be right there to say:
"iT's A vAliD sTraTeGy LOLLLLL just do gens"
Then complain about gen rushing being a problem
Precisely. And camping/tunneling are also the main reasons why people disconnect - even with the dc penalty which, as I foresaw, would only reduce dc right after implementation. Dcs are on the rise again, and they only go down when there is a new tome. Tome missions are far more effective to reduce people disconnecting than the dc penalty.

It's not all about you, people who support dc penalties pay for this game to have fun. It's not fun to have someone DC because the killer found them first, or because it's Ultra Slowdown Freddy. It just wastes their time, just like how DC penalties waste your time for DCing.
The solution is simple, stop dcing and you would only get short penalties when the game does indeed crash, which is much more rare than people who complain about the penalties want to admit. Or you can keep dcing so you can get banned more and more and stop ruining other peoples matches.
If the above isn't enough for you, then Dbd isn't the game for you and you should find something else to waste your time with.
Actually, the game has existed for a lot longer WITHOUT the disconnect penalty than with it. If you just arrived, perhaps this isn't the game for you. =]
Plus, you're either a teenager or someone who didn't study anything about human psychology to think that punishment changes behavior, son. It doesn't. There is a short period of time right after the application of the punishment when the trend changes. People are back to dc. And I'll remain here, for your pleasure. <3
PS: It is not about the killer's fun, right? So if it sucks for the other four players to play against a camper/tunneler - and it always does - they should be punishing the selfish ass who is ruining it for everybody else. ;)
PPS: If they want people to stop disconnecting, the tome missions are far more effective than the dc penalty.

I’m asking cause I live in the rural South. Sometimes my internet craps out and I’m kicked from the match. I then get DC penalty even though I didn’t DC. Is there a software or way for the game to know the difference? Seems a little unfair to get a timeout for something not in my control.
That is another reason why the disconnect penalty is ridiculous and ineffective. What prevents people from actually disconnecting are the tome missions and other positive reinforcements for staying in the game. Penalties don't work, it is surprising that they haven't read anything about behavior for the past 30 years to implement such a ######### attempt to modify behavior. Positive reinforcement works. Fear of penalties only work when the penalty is implemented. People get used to it, and it is all back to normal.

DC penalties are there for a reason, and if you're upset over the 6 hour ban then with no disrespect all I can say is deal with it. They cant keep the grace period of the dc penalty system light because people will try to figure out how the bans stack up. All I can say is you wouldn't be in this situation if you never dc'd
Also sorry I almost forgot to answer the actual question lol. DC penalties are there to penalize any and all forms of DC's. If someone's internet died or something mid game they wont notice anything because by the time they load the game up the 5 min timer will be done or almost done. It starts off real light but gets really heavy and punishing the more you dc.
If someone has trash wifi and constantly gets dc'd out they are ruining the game for others so it makes sense there too to give harsher punishment.
While your situation is pretty unlucky you wouldn't be with a 6 hour ban if you didnt dc multiple times. Now you know for the future though
The reason for which they are there are not addressing the issue and are not diminishing the dc. There was a short time, right after implementation, when it did go down. Now it's back to normal. People only won't disconnect because of positive reinforcement - like the tome missions that have to be done through several matches.
War drugs already taught us that: the stick doesn't work.

Farming once in a while because there's a disconnect, sure. But this wasn't once in a while. I remember killers complaining because they couldn't play a normal match. More matches than not had an early DC, so then their choices were to farm or slaughter the remaining three. No one wants to constantly farm, it's boring. They queued up to play the game, and they weren't getting to do that. It was endlessly frustrating.
It sucked as survivor, too. One person would disconnect, two more would follow, and I either got to do two gens to open the hatch (these were the old days before the EGC) or the killer would just kill me and move on.
Other multiplayer games I've played, disconnects weren't nearly so common, and a disconnect didn't alter the balance and ruin the entire match so drastically.
They unbalanced the game. We pay for the game to have fun. If people are not having fun, they're not going to put up with ****** camper/tunnelers just to indulge them. And now they nerfed the only anti-tunnel perk, DS, I've seen a rise on disconnects after that. And I don't blame them.
When it is not Tome season and I am in a hurry to finish all the missions, I'll admit that I have often disconnected when facing that kind of player. That is evidence that the positive stimulus of the tome is far more effective than the dc penalty.

You shouldn't have quit those times several days back when you had the string of bad Freddy types. What do you want me to tell you? That is why your Ban is bigger when something out of your control actually happened. Had you NOT done that, your ban for the interruption would have been five minutes. You should take this as a "teaching moment" so you don't run into this issue again.
Or they should fix the game so it doesn't boot people, how about that? Or - EVEN BETTER - get rid of the lame disconnect penalty. :)

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/241160/why-do-we-need-dc-penalties
why did you dc on purpose in the first place
Because that is a valid move when facing a ****** player. =] Especially now that they nerfed the only anti-tunneling perk, DS. People only don't disconnect because of the tome missions. The penalty doesn't work.
-
We don't need DC penalties. We need tunneller /camper penalties.
The only anti-tunnelling perk, DS, got severely nerfed. The disconnect penalty is ridiculous and it doesn't prevent people from disconnecting. It is a minor nuisance at most.
What effectively prevents people from disconnecting are the Tome missions. Having missions to be done in a short time is a good stimulus to prevent people from disconnecting after achieving a part of a multi-play mission.
Same as the war on drugs: the stick doesn't work.
-
You're absolutely right.
Also, the only reason I don't disconnect when getting consistently tunnelled/camped is because of the rift tasks. Once they're all done, I'm not indulging crappy killers who get their kicks by tunneling or survive for players who are crouching all over the map.
-
The thing is, she WAS available with Iridescent Shards. When did they change it and why? The way this game is going, I am definitely not giving them a vote of confidence and spending any more money on it yet.
-
Well, I decided to grind them back. The last DLC I bought was the Stranger Things one. I don't spend a single dime on costumes and such, well, because that is just dumb. If I get it as a gift for something ingame, fun. If not, I am not spending dollars there.
All the new characters I buy through ingame rewards.
And I advise everyone to do the same.
-
All survivors always wear the exact same cosmetic, so it is harder for the killer to tunnel.
-
@rats00 said:
Survivors who clearly hang around the hook than complain about how killers are camping should suffer an escalating bp and emblem penalty untill they get marginal bp and bronze emblems.

You know what? If it went both ways it would actually be good. Especially if it meant the disconnect penalty goes away.

How? Every obsession perk the killer has benefits you either by making it profitable to ignore you, punishing to touch you or straight-up buffing you, and it tells everyone in the trial whenever you get chased.
Where is the downside to being the obsession?
You are worth more bloodpoints than any other survivor. You'll get more tunneled - as if there weren't enough tunnelers already.

i know, DS can be a bull crap perk, there is no disagreement in that, but when I enter discussions and see 3 nerf DS posts, its just baffling that so many people are still complaining about DS.
some people feel like their own “nerf DS” post is special and different then other’s, when it’s the same crap from each and every day. Just please throw the nerf DS posts in suggestions, I’d like to have actual discussion’s instead of same old “nerf DS”.
now, I do want a DS change/nerf, but I’m not going to act like it’s the end of the world, extremely frustrating yes, But I’m not going to make an essay rant that is completely copy and pasted from the other same post’s. (And yes I am aware that I am ranting about rant’s.)
The only change it should be made is that should activate every time you're picked up right after being freed from the hook, instead of once per match.
It is one of the few perks that actually discourages tunnelers. With the silly disconnect penalty in place, it should actually be made better.

The longer a killer camps and tunnels, the less BPs and emblems they get. To the point where they get marginal BPs and Bronze emblems.

You are right. :) That survey did not include the disconnect penalty. You should (and anyone like you) vote with your wallet and get gone. Good riddance. We don't need people who DC.
Yeah, I'll still be around and committing hook suicide - which is worse for the survivors, but that's life.
If there was no disconnect penalty, the killer would've to tunnel me once again and only then I'd disconnect. Sorry not sorry.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
I will take on your advice and write an entire essay of why the disconnect penalty was the best thing that happened in this game and give them their well deserved pat on the back
That is your opinion. Forcing players who spend good money on this to indulge toxic players who can't play and straight facecamp / tunnel should award no punishment.
They should reward you if you decide to put up with those suckers instead of punishing you for doing what a normal person does, and just ditch the #########.
-
She's fine the way she is.
It is impressive how some killer players are always whining. They complain about survivors who dance around them. Then they complain about survivors who are stealthy around them.
-
Legion and Ghostface, by far.
Especially given that the players who play them are toxic, camper/tunnellers who make everyone want to quit the game.
-
It is not helping at all, as it isn't addressing the issues that make people disconnect in the first place. People disconnect because survivors got nerfed and it is a pain to go against OP Killers who also happen to be toxic camper/tunneler players.
I completely understand people who choose to disconnect instead of wasting 20 minutes of their life to amuse a ######### killer player.
-
Just got back to playing matches, after spending more time away from DbD. No toxic killers, no DC. Don't expect me to put up with your ######### - and by your comment, you're one of those toxic players I mentioned. 😘
-
Well, I just disconnected from a match as a survivor. Killer was a tunneler ghostface with bbq+chili and ruin (always them). I got banned for three minutes for disconnecting. Just went to play CS.
And it doesn't matter if the penalties for DCing increase: if I am against some overpowered killer who is also a toxic player, I'll disconnect. I won't wait around for 20 minutes having no fun.
Everytime I get banned is less time I play DbD. Joke is not on me.
-
Against Legion or Ghost Face? I disconnect. Lame OP killers who will make the game drag on. And I don't care about the penalties. I just go play something else. And if it lasts long enough, I might even spend months without playing.
Instead of banning people for DC, they should think why those people have DCed in the first place. They started putting new DLC-overpowered killers and nerfing survivors.
If I get frustrated playing something that was supposed to amuse me, I'll disconnect - and this has nothing to do with me winning or losing, I am fine losing several matches. But if it becomes a drag and annoying - like playing against ghost face or legion, who are usually played by camper tunnelers running bbq and chili and ruin - it just becomes boring and a waste of time. Hence, disconnect.
They should give bonuses to players who stay in the game, instead of additional penalties for those quitting. The PIP penalties are already there, no point in adding to that.
Penalties are not an effective way of changing behavior - drugs are there to prove it.
