  • A in the Beta, nerfed to C but treated as S since survivors are learning power, so they cry and complain and we settle on another D rated hardly played Killer, after a secondary/unnecessary nerf.

    topic over.

  • Yeah, I’ve also experienced this build with Pinhead, feels good. Never tried with Plague but it’s always nice to get builds you enjoy. If you wanna keep DH then just do it, I don’t always get value but when I do start executing survivors, I can feel the fear set in and the scramble begin.

Or the hopelessness and they just give up~

  • Just put on BBQ…oh wait…

  • A) Did it for the Dredge~

  • I might give it another use since Lethal Pursuit got buffed and I’m interested in a aura build but…yeah, BBQ isn’t an important perk anymore. I don’t really understand the OP. Are they upset that a couple Killers he ran into are still using a perk that any brain-dead survivor can counter and gives incentive to leave the hook?

People will seriously cry about anything lol

  • Save me Shattered Hope!

  • These are like full sets right? I like some head pieces but I’m not sold yet. Need to check them out myself later.

  • BHVR was clear but half-assed it like they always do. Anyone who knows BHVR knows exactly what they did and looked over their inability to do it completely and correctly. I already knew this was gunna happen, I never prestige those three~

  • Imma say next week. BHVR seems like the type to really drag their feet for big updates.

  • Pretty lucky to get so much value from SH on your first try of it. I’ve run it 3 times with no value, so I can’t get myself to keep using it. Glad you got the win~

  • I missed the Hillbilly train, rode over to the Hubba Bubba Choo choo. I was originally a Freddy main, up until his Rework. I was excited for the changes but was overwhelmed by how terrible he felt afterwards. At one point I was a DeathSlinger main, but dropped him after the TR nerf. Currently im a Pinhead main. Those three are the only Killers I’ve P3 with every perk.

Hard to love a character when you know that at any moment the Devs can one sidedly destroy a Killer for no reason~

  • Well, as a Killer Main, I get a small self satisfaction to having a team wipe, but I’m too competitive to throw a game. So…I enjoy SoloQ and putting on a totem destroying build. 5 tokens on Small Game is a win. Why not give that a go, you will be upsetting the Boon Meta so it’s an easier build to run when your not about the win or being a true teammate.

  • Felt like I saw this here already. I actually never seen them before, probably spent last two days backlogging their content. Good stuff.

  • I’ve been playing nothing but Pinhead for a month or so. An the few times I play survivor with a friend, we got a few Pinheads. Based off how people react to Pinhead, doesn’t feel like everyone doesn’t know how to use my box or when to use it or where to use it…

I don’t believe you on this lack of Cenobite! Motive Denied.

  • @Gary_Coleman said:

I was excited about boons until i ran 3 boon perks with a red map and the other survivors cleansed all of the totems, aside from the first one i blessed. Then i stopped using boons.

That’s the kind of scenario I ran into, I’m just saying it was an odd decision. I mean, for Killer, perks will highly favor one Killer over another, or you can just easily avoid running two perks that negate each other but survivors are lacking the ability to not screw each other. If BHVR doesn’t feel it’s good to let survivors share build at the campfire, then why keep making perks to actively put random survivors at odds with what to do with the totems.

  • Think the survivors in my games forgot how to adapt and play out a game.

Now they stop running and let me down them, run to hook and point to say they wanna die or immediately off themselves after I 1-hook them. Don’t wiggle when on death hook giving me free scourge. List goes on and on. Not sure where the tenacity to survive as a survivor went but a few years ago I’d have to hunt for a slug hiding in grass when now I’ll just find them sitting politely by a hook.

    Thanks I guess lol

  • Yeah yeah, Killer suppose to know your just a friendly Solo when he was probably being t-bagged, clickity-clicked at , and robbed of mind-games by ‘press E’ for victory. If Killer could press start and see whose in SWF and whose not, he may treat you different but without communication and information, your as “good” as your most toxic teammate to me.

That being said, here are a few of my tips.

    • Crawl to the nearest hook to make sure your not being left on the ground because Killer knows you are not near a hook, or he had to drop you earlier, or one or both doors are open, or he doesn’t know where hatch is and would rather slow bleed you to death (since YOU ain’t crawling). Crawling to hook let’s Killer know your an easy kill and are ready to die when he is ready to kill you, no tricks.
    • Staying absolutely still and collecting crows will disturb a Killer trying to gloat more then you wiggling on floor or spinning in circles. Says you don’t care, you went for a sandwich, took a bathroom break and started watching videos on YT.
    • Getting tunneled to death is a legit strat and pummeling you on hook is either the Killer disrespecting you for whatever reason he wants…or he might just be trying to start a hook swarm so the Kills will come to him. Also the possibility that he happened to see you joined later then the other 3 and might actually know your not part of the SWF, in which case he’s hoping your weak-willed enough to ######### early on hook if he BM you. That way he could more easily battle the SWF. Most odd ball solo survivors will destroy gens while the SWF enjoy running the Killer and making epic saves. If the gen jockey dies, then it’s only a matter of time till Killer dwindles down survivor resources and eventually wins.

Trying to get under each other’s skin and trigger each other to make mistakes is just part of the game now. An it goes both ways, sometimes I just gotta sit in a corner a let the bully squads pop the gens and gloat and taunt me. Not to mention every game where survivors hold me hostage until the final second of EGC. Either that or they need me to watch them leave and of course it’s a great feature from BHVR that survivors can blow out my ear drums by repeatedly fast vaulting over and over and over.

Game is interesting and fun, community sucks~.

Having all of the perks finally. Been grinding for a couple of years now, and it's nice to see that time investment becoming worth it.

I'm not too worried about the low rarity of addons thing. I typically stick to brown/yellow addons anyways, and there's a lot of killers who's best addons are the brown and yellow ones. Plus cakes/puddings are yellow rarity.

There's a few that have rarer addons that I enjoy, but those are mainly meme ones like scratched mirror Myers or pinky finger clown. I don't play meme builds that often though anyways so I'm not too concerned. I'd much rather have all perks and grind for addons anyways.

Are you me? I was basically going to say the same.

Just like everything posted in the feedback section.

So many good ideas, left to rot and decay.

Yeah, sometimes I pick a random page and find a gem or remember vaguely something I posted that got moved to that graveyard and forgotten. Just better to pretend/hope some Dev accidentally does read something that they do actually implement a year or two later.

  • Chapter-6

    Killer-10

    Killer Power-5

    Killer Perks-8

    Survivor-3

    Survivor Perks-6

    ———

I like the Killer, I’m not against her power but I find it underwhelming right now. Chapter seems worse after Dredge came out and did the “I’m you but better” upstage. I need an outfit for Yoichi to resonate with me before I’ll be using him, right now the banana raincoat just screams April O’Neil to me. Both had perks that I’m enjoying though, like Yoichi Empathetic Connection. I just imagine being the beacon of light that brights up for the lost and injured and it’s more satisfying when people come up asking for a heal then me using Empathy and running over to help only to be shunned or ignored. Onryo has a solid Scourge Hook that I like to combo with MYC and even if it’s gimmicky, I’ll toss in Merciless Storm sometimes.

Chapter was less exciting since those that played the PtB were quick to see flaws and nothing was improved, then they didn’t touch her since. Per usual, I’ll pass final judgement after she gets a solid once over on one of these updates but my 6 on overall chapter is strongly leaning towards the perks and the potential to save this.

  • This has been posted several times. Your not alone in wanting a vote to end game but nothing new here to really discuss. This was put in the suggestions section of the forum and now it’s simply at the mercy of the Game Devs.

  • You’d get better at the game Sluzzy if you bought a NHL game. I did, after I learned the rules and practiced, I suddenly became much better at DbD~

  • BBQ stacks ain’t dead yet, my dood~

  • I don’t play nurse because of console but people said Nurse power is like Pinhead except you physically teleport instead of spawning a chain. If true, in theory, I might be training timing and muscle memory for nurse too. After update I’ll get every Killer perk on her, then MAYBE I’ll try her for a day or two.

im not sure but she use to have a add-on that let you see your blink distance on the floor. Im hoping that still a thing, I might enjoy her more with my months of Pinhead experience now.

  • I saw a Jeff today with a butterfly on his back. He the only one getting a pet? I might switch to Jeff, I’d also like a buddy to live and die with me.

  • Originally, Old Freddy, now it’s Pinhead. I definitely say his lines whenever the game fails to do so.

  • I knew this was bound to happen, but they all called me crazy. I’ve already created a build towards finding and eliminate this army. You won’t win Blendettes

  • Mods would move it themselves. Nice shirt though~

  • Nothing wrong or bad about camping. Just a strat that survivors don’t like, but If I was to pretend it was so “awful”, I guess my solution would be…

Have the Entity scoop up the Killer a move them to a new location, whenever he hooks a survivor. I know some people hate RNG as much as others hate camping but just leave it to the DbD gods on if Killer suddenly appears next to your gen or not lol.

I dunno, but if Killer makes it back to the hook before rescue, Then it’s on you lol

Funny thing is, way back when the new survivor animations where introduced, the devs added a turning animation to stop survivors form literally snapping their ankles in order to turn in an instant. As you can probably imagine, the outcry from spinners was so loud that those animations were removed.

Sounds about right, but I don’t remember.

  • Lol, two grown men incapable of scaling over the 5ft wall…pretty accurate representation xD

  • I’m down for survivors using this perk now. It’s almost like a meta change…

Im going all in on aura reading after the nerf to BBQ and buff to Lethal Pursuer. Nobody would expect it lol.

  • I use to have the movie mindset of ‘I’m the Killer, I’m the power role, I should be feared’ to the ‘Oh yeah, this is a 4v1 game, I’m at a huge disadvantage, I’m honestly lucky if I can kill anybody.’

  • They have not gave the definitive date.

Far as I saw, at minimum you get +2 free prestige level per current rank.

So. (P1)1 + extra 2 for being P1=P3 after update.

    (P2) 2 + 4=P6

    (P3) 3+6=P9

    ———

Then you get more free Prestige levels based on the number of perks you have. Someone else will probably post the chart. They say you can get P3 still without actually prestiging now if you got most perks I think. So you could possibly keep your items and still p3. If you have any lvl 50 with few perks, I’d go ahead and P1 those.

I chose to P1 everyone, I only earned cakes on my Killers who were p3 already.

Worth? I’m going to be pretty happy having all perks on all my Killers at max tier. I might even find more builds/Killers to enjoy without the horrendous grind only to find I didn’t like it at all.

  • Huntress Hatchet Hitbox always gets me to give an audible hmmm, especially when I seem to have missed or thrown too high yet, SMACK.

    Hmmm

  • Not collecting tokens on BBQnCHILLI IS A CRIME.

I’d add the tokens back. First hook earns a token per survivor, every token earned extends the aura reveal timer by one second, up to four extra seconds.

Strangely it's a yellow and grey addon.....the yellow was the one that lowers the cool down of the crows and the grey increased the killer instinct duration....the player that I saw use it was when I was playing a survivor....they got downs left and right with crows at range.

What they did was fire off 1 crow....and with the addons allowed them to chain crow hits quickly.

    Niiiice.

I missed her chapter drop and when I came back, I also tried and really enjoyed her. I’m not playing her now because the grind but after this update, she will have every perk tier lll and I’m definitely going to pick her up again~

  • Well, I’m not hardcore enough to max out all Killers, So I just have 3 that have all perks. The rest I leveled till I had bbq and some slowdown and just use them sporadically for challenges. Now? Well after this update I should have max perks (tier lll) on all Killers so… my sense of freedom to play any Killer with any build at any time is going to make this worth it alone.

Gunna try and p1 as many survivors as I can and hopefully can do something similar for them. I’ll adjust to BHVR bs like I always do and hopefully that incentive to play one side or the other does abit of flip flopping. I’d like to bounce back and forth and chase the bonus but if it’s hard-stuck on one role then I’ll probably mostly play Killer still. At least until I’m caught up on the grind.

  • @GannTM said:

Dowsey confirmed it on his YouTube. Yes P1ing characters before the update gets them P3 after the update and it also does unlock their perks on everyone else immediately.

R u serious? You mean for the first time in my life I’m going to have all Killers with all Perks because I got everyone to at least P1?

oh man, I have so many builds to try.

  • Survivors stopped so I stopped.

  • It’s Huntress Lullaby. I know, I know, I don’t use it consistently either. It’s my favorite though and I always try and make a build around it once in awhile. I don’t really know why, I guess it just appeals to me to have a Hex that grows in power and the random fail gen checks that start popping mid match. Gives me a case of the giggles.

  • Word it however you want, I share the same mindset. Will gladly sit quietly on gens and leave with no issue, and if I have no way of seeing/knowing my teams perks, then it’s not worth the needless risk to force a full team escape. If I’m using a build specifically built for end-game escapes, then sure, but otherwise, it’s still strategic to ensure the win/tie (2 or 3 escape) instead of the self implosion that is trying the Hail Mary save lol.

Just the typical logic vs feelings situation.

You're missing the point as to why survivor mains always complain about tunneling. Its not about winning for them. Its about having at least a chance to get out of a hopeless situation so they can play the game longer than it took them to get in one. The only experience tunneling offers to survivors is how frustrating the game can be. And killer mains wonder why there are so many SWF in this game. Its because they're tired of dealing with toxic killers who gain pleasure from making this game as miserable as possible for survivors.

Killers get “pleasure making the game as miserable for survivors as possible” because they’ve been abused and humiliated by the over-abundant SWF groups UNFAIRLY using constant communication to remain in control of the match.

    REVERSE UNO CARD!

Seriously silly to blame the existence of SWF because of the playstyle of Killers. I’d easily argue that survivors are the strongest share-holders of the toxicity because their of MORE OF YOU, and YOU OPERATE UNDER GROUP-MENTALITY, so when one of you is tunneled or camped you feel ‘justified’ to group pile on the Killer and all future Killers. Thus antagonizing and mocking any and every Killer you ‘beat’ and viciously attacking anyone who didn’t play exactly how you wanted. Why do you think the ‘survivor rulebook meme’ is a thing haha.

You can say what you want about Killers being toxic and trying to justify survivor actions as nothing more then a ‘counter’ to the Killer negativity but nobody but ignorant survivor mains are gunna believe that xD

  • Hopefully because they are reflecting on the feedback~

  • Oh. Here is my prediction.

    1. Survivors will double-down on gen speed and will start cranking out gens faster then they do now.
    2. Killers will get a reality check and return to using anti-gen perks.
    3. Killers will adopt a more camp heavy style.
    4. Survivors will use the opportunity to once again push for BHVR to punish Killers near hook.
    5. BHVR will nerf Pig.

    In that order~

  • Krampus.

If the chapter doesn’t drop in December, I’d be highly disappointed.

  • You would have to make a post in the suggestion section with your idea. If they like it and it’s worth the time and money to implement then maybe in 2-3 years you’ll see a crappy version of it.

Aaaand I can tell which kind of killer you are. It's much more satisfying when you 4k with no tunneling and survivors dying on their 3rd hook than having half the team dying or tunneling and having the survivors quit or die on their first hook. Putting in the extra work and succeeding without the exit gates being open is a different kind of win satisfaction.

You just need to learn how to pressure survivors and believe me gens come to a big halt when this happens. When you tunnel the same person, and camp, or commit to super long chases, you just give free time for the survivors to do gens as quickly as possible.

I play only Hag and I can tell you Make your Choice makes my games more fun than tunneling the same person. The hook swaps are the best.

Hag with MYC? Bro…your free to pretend your an upstanding Killer who can play with the survivor rulebook and still have “fun”, but I fairly suspicious that your a Grade A camper haha. Bet my bottom dollar that you trap up the hooked area, only venture far enough to be able to proc MYC, then teleport back, down new survivor, same hook, some trap-set up, basically keeping your Campsite and cooking your s’mores lol.

Your not less of a camper because you use a Killer that can camp via ‘her power’ instead of physically herself xD

This is like a Nurse Main telling Killers they need to be better at adding pressure by ending chases early lolol.

Sorry, I’m not trying to dump on you, just the whole statement caught me off guard. To stay on topic, I mostly play Killer but when I do play Survivor, I rarely get facecamped, I might get tunneled out but that’s fair game and I should get better at running loops and my team should get better at body-blocking. It’s a team game after all. Getting tunnel is a strategy that I understand and respect and I only blame myself for being identified as such a weak looper that I’m worth the small time investment to tunnel out OR I consider it a badge of honor if I looped better then usual and the Killer specifically gave up the game to kill me.

Some survivors are so soft, Facecamp and tunnel isn’t as terrible and detrimental as they make it out to be. Now T-bagging and flashlight clicking are what is truly terrible (/Sarcasm)
