  • If I was going to try and meet BHVR half way, I’m going to assume they thought that survivors could be “wasting time” booning totems and Killerw can snuff it out very quickly…so If you find it and snuff it before survivor got any value, then you’ve actually benefited. It is pretty loud and easy to notice and has a loud sound notification when created. Sadly in the current state of the game, it’s still time consuming detriment to Killers since your facing 4v1 and not 1v1v1v1v1 like BHVR wants you to think xD

This one is creepy, pretty weird if you ask me(unless I'm not getting the joke?)

It’s called dry humor, I’m sure you connected the dots and came to the correct conclusion. The joke is imagining BHVR is a company that is openly cool with cannibalism and has a co-worker that practices it and also that he is such a monster that he’d fit right in with our cast of Killers. Not to mention he thinks his reasoning on why they won’t do it is absurd, since we already got two chainsaw Killers and both Hag and Leatherface are cannibals lol.

it got a chuckle out of me~

  • I don’t think it’s wrong to ‘main’ something. Just be mindful that you lack core information and understanding to core mechanics. I can’t not describe myself as a Killer main, because I’ve got every Killer, Killer perk, and consistently play Killer. I have one P3 Feng, half the survivor perks and do not even own every survivor perk, I play survivor a few times a week.

My experience/knowledge of a survivor perk is from the experience of receiving end of the survivor perk and information I read online, not from actually using it, so if I decide to comment on a subject on these forums, I’ll usually preface it with ‘I’m a Killer Main’, just so everyone knows to take my opinion on a survivor perk with a grain of salt. I’m not trying to be cringe.

He's actually getting a buff with the developer update's reduced basic attack hit cooldown and pallet breaking time.

Dead Hard also won't counter his shots now either (which was by far the biggest thing that pissed me off, nothing like pulling off an amazing shot only for the survivor to tap a button and disregard it entirely). One second of endurance doesn't matter when you still need to reel them in after the shot.

Can only hope it's enough to make him viable though. I main him for the most part so I'm praying. I agree he could use an addon pass, although he does have some good addons outside of the reload ones (rusted spike, for example).

Good points. I might need to dust him off and give him another go.

  • Pinhead

    • Hex: Haunted Grounds
    • Hex: Devour Hope
    • Hex: Undying
    • Hex: Pentimento

pretty fun build for me. For one, they are already distracted by my box and chain hunt all game. If Haunted Grounds pops, then they can’t do my box or I’ll just teleport and down them easily. Devour Hope incase they decide to not do totems, then uh-oh, everyone scrambles and starts popping everything because I’m now one-shotting healthy survivors and anybody who does my box is again getting downed immediately. Undying will extend/save Devour Hope just long enough to hit 3 hooks or will double my use of Hex Haunted Grounds, assuming it’s not found first.

No matter how they start going, it still benefits me because of Pentimento and I can either lean on Devour for the hard win or lean on Pentimento for the slowdown and work for the win. Obviously the strongest counter is Boons, but I’ve yet to have a game where this Hex Build gave me absolutely zero value. Also if chain hunt starts they can’t easily cleanse/boon totems so…it’s always a flip for them hub working my box (while exposed) or staying safe and letting chain hunt starting, now being unable to do totems, which helps keep my Pentimento hexes safe and possibly also my Devour.

Do little things like hide box or decrease chain hunt timer and the survivors are honestly too busy running around to do gens and when they find the time it’s usually with a 30% slowdown.

    ———

Im not saying I dont lose games or it’s a perfect build, but I think Hex Builds synergy with Pinhead is pretty nice.

  • I’m not hardcore enough to appreciate the chapter, the map, the Killer, or even the survivors, even though I remember playing and enjoying some of the games. The part I liked the most in the game was the Zombies. I really like having two zombies roaming around, but it feels a little lonely and lackluster. I wish using an antidote would spawn a new zombie, creating a little chaotic zombie horde or choosing to stay infected to avoid that.

  • I think that Well thing, she always pop out of in the Onryo Killer screen, could be introduced to the game. Use the same technology you used for the invitation and let it rotate independently around the map and Onryo can teleport to it like she does the televisions. Teleporting to the Well gives a map wide boost to condemnation on all survivors. The well only spawns in after the first hook and it disappears completely after use, only returning once you’ve hooked a ‘new survivor’ (not rewarding tunnel).

Just a general thought that would obviously need to be ironed out.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

#3 will never happen... would lead to people being bullied for not using the meta

It could happen, just force people to wait till the game is loaded and then you get press start and see the usual, Survivor names, offerings burned…now just add everyone perk list. Realize I’m just saying it ‘could’ be worked into the game, not ‘should’.

Some survivors are selfish enough to suicide on hook because someone brought out no meta perks lol.

  • I think the one that goes by the fastest is the one that is remembering the team member that passed. Was it Peter? Well, my condolences to the BHVR team.

Well that explains why they're called Behaviour Interactive

Oof, my tiny brain just imploded, I need to get off these forums for today.

  • I had wished that whatever secondary change they make would be unique to the first time a survivor is hooked type. Even if only for nostalgia, I want my BBQ stacks <_<

The fact that devs even made his animations so dull. You can see Old Freddy had such a cool soul animations but they completely removed from the game. Literally nobody complained about his animations but they decided to remove.

TBH, after your reminder and picture of Freddy’s old soul animation, I reflected on my extensive time playing Old Freddy. That was something gone that I never really put much thought into but now I miss it too. It was a nice little animation that I took for granted. I have that soul animation burned into memory, that stand still picture basically came to life the moment I saw it and I heard Freddy’s chuckle in my head.

I think it’s been a few years now since change, I always like to pretend one day DbD will add a Robert England skin and hype it up but then we find out that it’s Old Freddy (but tweaked) and we could have both :P

  • Nobody disagreed that Old Freddy was confusing and OP for new players and overly weak with a lot of nuances that survivors could take advantage of…but we did not expect such a complete overhaul of the Killer, we expected some improvements to his kit or some changes to help new players cope with his power more simply. He didn’t deserve to be replaced, just tweaked.

Also we are in a day and age with nearly 30 killers, the latest one having the power to basically teleport everywhere and damn near blind you. I think people could handle a blinking in and out Freddy…ya know that crazy thing spirit and Onryo do now lol.

Freddy was an odd-ball, but he was our odd-ball and this new guy is an imposter xD

First off, I'm not talking about "proper tournament"? The point of my post was that any killer can be competitive in daily play.

Now, I said nothing about "tournament SWF". I said "tournament level SWF", which is to me, is a SWF that contains at least one player of tournament level ability. If I worded that incorrectly, that's on me, and I apologize, but to just reply and call someone a liar is pretty trashy.

As Phantom said, these games are not hard to find, they literally stream them. Now, could a off-meta killer win a Tournament? If you say no, honestly I trust that, you know more about it than I do.

I'm saying that in daily play, in off-meta killer can be competative, even with a SWF that contains tourney level players. If you still think I'm wrong then I respect your opinion, and we'll leave it at that.

    :)

You really did word that poorly and your both not wrong. Killers are very dependent on survivor mistakes or general lackluster to win (concentrating on achievements/challenges/maximizing all BP earning activities). If survivors truly take the game seriously or only incentive was to survive, then survivors would nearly always get a 3/4 man escape.

Luckily most survivors are as you described and not trying super hard to enjoy the gen simulator and actually running around and trying to complete a secondary objective or interact with Killer. This provides just enough lee-way for Off-Meta Killers to also have some good games, despite weaknesses.

In tourney play, the concentration is escape and the more they avoid Killer interaction or get distracted by secondary objectives, the better. So they pop everything in a couple minutes and leave. Off-Meta couldn’t hold a candle to actual SWF who are playing seriously. No contest.

  • I have more of an opposite blinding rage for specific looking Claudettes aka Blendettes and tend to go out of my way to tunnel them out (if found).

My survivor main account is Feng and I’ve never felt a need to spare her. If I was trying to match your ‘feelings’ then seeing a Dwight slow vault into a locker, in front of me, is precious enough to pretend like I didn’t see nothing and move away.

  • I think DbD should make a deal with Mac Donald’s, so I can collect some cheap cool DbD figures and eat a burger.

  • Alright thanks both of you. Guess by BHVR standards I’m pretty lucky it’s still planned this year lol

  • I’m glad it’s not just me. I’m sorry survivors, I know your all trying to get under my skin but I’m too busy wondering how I should tweak my build or if I’m really using my Killer Power most effectively and then OOPS, killed Claudette because she hit second stage before rescue and I didn’t notice.

Im not saying I won’t camp or tunnel, I’m saying that with hook status, I’ll at least think about leaving them slugged and letting them get rescued.

  • Bro, we’re trying to shake the meta up. So let’s have a few months of this body blocking meta and if ppl start quitting or effecting BHVR revenue, then they will revert or change something. Y’all are so scared of change lol.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

its the way i genuinely cant tell if this is satire anymore because ive seen serious posts exactly like this

    I don’t believe.

  • Yeah, been very cringe watching the forum blow-up. I can’t stop watching and laughing though. This place goes cross-eyed as soon as BHVR attempts to tweak anything and then gets upset when they back track and decide to do nothing lolol.

Hopefully BHVR is too deep to not pull the trigger (this time) and all the cry babies don’t scare them into another 6 month redraw from making any “shake-up” changes. I use to blame BHVR but now I just blame the community feedback and over dramatic displays of emotions to a little video game.

That being said, ReTuRn OlD FrEdDy Or I RiOt!

  • I’m a Killer main but I still like the survivors having some Killer Power interactions. I’ve always leaned towards Killers that have the most interactions with Killer Power.

Old Freddy, Pig, Plague, Twins, Pinhead are my most played. You give me a Killer with a Killer Power that survivors have to interact with and not just endure…I’ll probably start playing them. I haven’t given Onryo or Dredge a fair shot yet, so I couldn’t include them. I’m still unlocking P3 Killers.

Also I’m a tiny bit offended I didn’t see kidnapping Victor as an example lol.

  • I’m glad Pallets also have some fans, I thought I might be alone lol

    @Slan said:

Snares have turned into garbage, not that they did anything before though. Pallets are funnier for me, and trolling a survivor is satisfying, especially when they click and teabag you.

Also, where is the old Dream Demon? If it were here, I would have chosen it.

I couldn’t put old Dream Demon because it didn’t answer my question of preference between Dream Snares or Dream Pallets. If it was ‘Your Favorite Freddy Power, I’d have added it and voted for it myself. Every video I see of Freddy recently is Dream Snares, just curious if anyone else like Dream Pallets more.

  • I haven’t seen a Billy in a long time. To the point that I’d probably DC just because I thought I’d mistakenly spawned into a forbidden past realm and needed to return to the present…

  • Nah, that tree makes it invisible to any survivor on that gen. Your overreacting.

  • My issue with the idea is that (to me) this just punishes the M1-Killers again but we’re all going to conveniently gloss over all the Killer Powers that can proxy camp the hooks while working around this hooked proximity.

Nurse, Spirit, Oni, Billy, Huntress, Demo, Hag, Legion, Blight, Twins…to a lesser extent Freddy, Onryo, Artist.

These Killers have Killer Powers with speed bonuses that could get you back to the hook very quickly, with teleportation abilities that can return to the hook quickly, or lethality from a distance. It’s not like every Killer stands next to hook while camping, only those who choose a hard M1 Killer. Most of them clear to booked area to give the illusion of safety and free points, just to speed/teleport back and punish the save.

Im just saying that I don’t think your small change to icons is honestly going to be impactful. If anything it’s just going to add to the false illusion of safety and lead to more successful proxy camping.

    ———

As I’ve been saying for years, if you truly want to alleviate camping, just incentives/reward Killers for not doing it. All this work to punish Killers to not do ‘a bad thing’. Little tip, if you rub a dogs nose in his own feces and tell him he’s BAD, he’ll probably do it again but learn to hide it in your shoes. If you reward a dog with a treat when the go outside then they are more likely to notify the owner when they are ready to potty.

    Nobody wants to reward Killers~

  • Most everybody, specifically Killers, have all ‘tried’ in one way or another to ‘play nice’ but we all reach the realization that it holds less value. So you have to make dirty decisions to make a profit from your time and experiences in game.

The game rewards punishing each other, to not do so is certainly nice and makes the game more enjoyable for both sides but then you don’t reap the reward for playing.

When we hit the crossroads, many of us begin to feed the cycle and justify our actions internally, but some others are able to rise above it and let go of the mentality of ‘needing’ to earn as much BP as possible. These people can truly just enjoy the game without winning/losing, claiming Kills, or camping/tunneling.

I didn’t like the feeling of letting everyone escape, or not earning that juicy BP, I didn’t like the disrespect I was shown by survivors…so I’ve chosen violence. I mean, not now with all the flan burning but I’m no stranger to hard tunneling one person out ASAP and bringing in NOED+No Way Out.

  • Damn it, I fell for it too…and everyone on the other side of my mic witnessed it. >_<

That's one of my favorites. The secret code one was also really good.

Yeah, I can never see the code long enough to decipher. Anyone wanna post that one? Also the ‘Put a Ringu’ on it was the one that made me cringe the hardest, so far.

  • My last inv didn’t pop, I’m not sweating it, hope they start popping again.

  • We don’t normally invite Slingers but I guess if you wanna join our weekly get-together with the Old Freddy and Billy mains. Your welcome~

  • Just to add, if you prestige you ‘WILL’ lose them. Until the big prestige update, you will lose all add-ons and perks…so, don’t add flans to Dredge while you also prestige him to lvl 3.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

I wish they changed it to "The Entity isn't mad, just disappointed"

That hurts to deeply. Imma go clean my room now.

  • She got Billy’d, which is still better then Freddy’d, but enough to drop her off~

  • Your not giving a lot of info but I’ll say the Entity doesn’t really care if you 4k or get 9 hooks if that’s ‘All’ you did. If, for instance, you play Huntress and hatchet smack everyone and get 7 hooks…you still didn’t chase anyone, you didn’t kick gens, nor did you trigger one of the many other score events in game.

You have seen those score event notifications at top right of screen yea? (Assuming you didn’t turn off). If your not collecting those, your not feeding the Entity the fear it wants, your just giving it blood and sacrifice.

The Devs are trying to get the Killers to participate in the game in a way that involves player interaction but then give us Killer Powers/Perks that can negate a key aspect of the game. Like if you kill by hand and not hook, missing potential points, if you teleport instead of chase, potential loss in points, if you chase instead of pop gens, potential loss of points.

The Entity wants everything from you, so it can easily hunger if you don’t play in a particular way.

  • Deathslinger and Pyramidhead can injure you, despite the pallet drop, at least Demo prioritizes the pallet. I’m sorry you have a special hatred for Demo and you seem to struggle with him more then other Killers, but ‘the community’ doesn’t feel Demo is as oppressive as you described him to be. He has counter-play. I struggle with Clown more so then other people, doesn’t mean I think he is S tier and everyone else should see him as oppressive.

Tell me how you counter a demogorgon who is readying his pounce as you run towards a window or pallet. If you vault you get hit, if you fake it he either cancels instantly and gets a hit or just pounces and hits you anyway, the pounce is unreactable at close range and has a pretty big hitbox making it near impossible to successfully juke unless the demogorgon is very bad, and even if you make it to a pallet or something, he just breaks the pallet immediately with the pounce and keeps going. The double standards with this community, I swear. At least deathslinger and pyramid head don't break the pallet when they shoot.

Tell me how you counter-Clown who has a bottle ready to thrown when I’m running at a window. I mean he has NO-Slow Down when bottle is out and he can throw it to force me to slow vault and get an easy hit. If I try to fake it then he immediately has a new bottle (at no cost) and can slow AND disorient my screen so I can’t clearly see the next loop. The only way to survive Clown is if he is very bad and NOW they actually gave him a bottle to SPEED BOOST around the map. Even if I make it to pallet loop, he can just slow ME down but speed HIMSELF up! This community and its inability to admit on how troublesome Clown is, I swear. At least Deathslinger and Pyramidhead have to AIM their Killer Power.

((If that sounded silly to you, it’s a prime example of how silly that Demo rant sounded lol))

  • I apparently wanted ‘Fire Up’, so much so that I had a lil heart flutter when I thought I saw it. It’s not on there :(

I believe the console versions of the game released a physical special edition that included the Stranger Things chapter on the disc. As far as I know, that's the only legal way to get it now, so your coworker could look at tracking a copy down.

I’ll see to telling him this.

  • Tell whoever made the ‘Twilight Swarm’ skin, for Deathslinger, that it looks amazing. I started leaving my DbD Killer Screen up as a make-shift Wallpaper when I’m done gaming and just hanging out.

    I love looking at it~

  • I didn’t realize I needed to select it. Probably more brain-deads like me, just watching the bar go up and thinking we’re ‘doing a good job here’ lol.

I’ll go select it now :/

  • Same reaction when clown gas was introduced. Calm down and maybe try dealing with it (like we do everything here) until we are past the gut reaction and actually had time to get a real feel for it and then collectively decide if it’s truly too dark.

    the sky is not falling.

  • The doll skin is available? Awesome. I didn’t wanna spam forum or hi-Jack a post but I’m not playing Dredge without it~

  • Damn, always wanted a scarecrow killer. If they are going far enough to drop scarecrow costumes then it’s probably a dead dream. Dredge doll cosmetic will probably be the closest I get to a Killer doll killer too lol.

  • I watched psn store pretty hardcore and when the Freddy Chapter dropped, I was very interested and looked up DbD. Prior to that day, I didn’t care about DbD and thought it had 1 Killer and these were just a skin to put on your Killer. I was pleasantly surprised Freddy had a power and it played homage to the source material. I played DbD till the New Freddy drop. Now I just play sporadically when nothing else is going on~

That's a weird mentality to have. It's a multiplayer game. Neither side should be stomping the other ideally.

He was just diving too deep into horror lore. Realistically the survivors are suppose to be weaker and running for their lives, not running at or dry humping the Killer for the lulz. I think he was just trying to emphasize where the power role is suppose to lean.

it’s a game though, I came back and made it high enough in MMR to see and feel what I had left a year ago. Imma just play survivor till the new Apex Season starts~

  • I’m a Killer Main, but a friend wanted to try DbD on his new Ps5. I’ve been using tinkerer, I know how it works, but I’ve never truly ‘felt’ tinkerer until a Leatherface popped up beside me, locking me in place and started revving up his chainsaw. Game hasn’t made me yelp that loudly in a long time.

  • BHVR- We’ve heard your suggestions and have decided to make Shadowborn base kit on all Killers. On a unrelated not, we will also introduce knee capping the Killer. Feel free to kick any Killers the way you would Victor and stun the Killer for five seconds. Thank you.

  • Oh yeah? Never noticed. Since the DC on my shoulder is noticible enough as is, I never needed an icon to tell me if something was on my shoulder lol
