Killer Power Disparity is worse than Surv vs Killer
Just as the title says. The power gap between killers is it's own problem and Surv vs Killers is another problem but we could tackle Surv vs Killer alot better if the Power disparity between killers wasn't so problematic.
Tell me a killer that has always been in the bottom tier and a killer that has never left top tier?
Easy, Trapper as Bottom and Nurse as Top.
Why has this been the norm for 6 years? Why is it that no killer since Nurse has established itself as the new Top ( except probably Old Spirit was beter on consoles cause playing Nurse on controller sucks) and why has Trapper never left the bottom tier? Unless you're counting that time where Trapper was both the Bottom and the Top tier, back when the game launched and he was the only killer available...
This issue alone is as big or bigger than Surv vs Killer. Solving Killer vs Killer would help solve Surv vs Killer in a much better fashion.
Why do killers have such weaknesses as simply being seen? Why must Ghostface be in stealth to stalk? Why does GF lose every single ability when revealed except crouching, but crouching doesn't help much at all in 99% of scenarios, so it's mostly useless, you're slower, you don't lose TR or stain, survivors can still see you over objects and around corners because of 3rd person perspective and why is revealing GF so extremely easy. The killer loses all it's power for god sake... And then you have Nurse whose single weakness is the person playing her...Why can Nurse ignore majority of the game while everyone else has to obey the norm?
Why Is Nurse basicly uncounterable and every other killer has way too manny safety mechanisms that allow survivors to dictate how they use their power?
Turning SADako's TV's off, Kidnapping Pinhead's box, before that was changed, closing Dredge's lockers when the Teleport itself is slow AF for the majority of the match, why add the extra slowdown of closing lockers, crouching against Hag traps, crouching vs Nemesis Tentacle, Disarharming Trappers traps, etc, there's so manny cases of a killer power being dictated by Survivors.
Don't get me wrong i don't want Nurse to be nerfed, I WANT OTHER KILLERS TO COME CLOSER IN POWER.
Why does Huntress have her hitboxes the way she does and then Slinger and Trickster have to be very accurate? Why does Trickster need a ######### ton of blades to down someone? Why does Laceration decrease so fast? Why is Trickster a 110% killer? Just because he has range? He's less lethal than every other ranged killer, why does he have a Lullaby?
Why do some killers have extreme safety measures and then other killers can just be opressive... Tone down their opressiveness and stop restricting other killers so much.
You want to have people to feel FUN? Stop restricting killers, then we won't care so much about winning as killers. Reduce the amount of Add-ons and improve base kits to make the killers feel more developed, more complete.
Don't be afraid to remove control about killer powers from Survivors. Survivors control the flow of the match already, they have the faster objective, they are 4, they can overlap Perks to make killer lives difficult, they have the Maps themselves as their biggest shield, they don't need to have the Sword aswell, controlling killers powers.

I bought onryo and artists last bloodhunt and the difference between them is stark. I prefer low tier killers so I play onryo much more often but what you said about the power disparity it's absolutely true. Did you know artist has actual good and useful addons as well? Did you know onryo has a purple add-on that makes survivors scream if she slows herself down and if they're watching her during it? That's all it does. Make people scream. Ludicrous.
That too. But if you make maps smaller then it also means Survivors are closer to killers meaning Trapper has the same issues with Trap placement, if Survivors see him from far away place a Trap then that Trap is useless, they can just go there and disarm that trap, where if they couldn't disarm it then that trap despite being noticed can still work at any given time.
Smaller Maps also mean GF can be Revealed easier since people will be closer to each other, so you have to rethink how Revealing GF works to acount for that aspect. A solution is to reduce the range from where you can start Revealing him, another solution is to increase the time it takes. In smaller Maps Pyramid Head's cages will allow lose some importance, it will be faster to reach someone, but the big thing from his cages is that it denies perks and allows for quick hook stage progression, so not much is lost. Nurse get's stronger in smaller Maps, Blight gets stronger in smaller maps, Spirit gets stronger in smaller maps. Basicly every strong killer now gets stronger while you still need to adress the weaker killers.
Smaller Maps will mostly help in controlling the flow of the match, allowing killers that aren't so strong to reach some places quicker than they can now, but the strength of loops also must be revised otherwise M1 killers still get outplayed.
I'm confused by this... do you want killers to not have any counterplay in general?
Yeah...some killers seem like they have monsths of work and others have a few hours...
I think Pyramid Head is a good killer, capable of doing alot, if played well but still not super opressive, there are options to avoid Torment, there are penalties for using cages at bad moments. His add-ons don't do much but he has a pretty decent base kit. I see Pyramid Head as a role model for manny other killers. A decent special, A passive that is rewarding and a direct counter to the strength of the 4.
I agree 100% that there is a huge gap between the different tiers of killers. Just even comparing an average killer that's S or A tier to the tier right below it is a pretty big gap in power. If you were to take the absolute best Myers or ghost face, or even wraith, and put them just against average blight players, the difference in power is immense.
What's even worse is they keep trying to balance the game while there's that gap.
However I don't think every killer needs to be where nurse and blight are. I actually feel like Demogorgon, doctor, and plague are all pretty much middle of the road B tier killers. But they also feel like some of the most balanced killers as they each have stuff they specialize in, what they specialize in they're really good at. However they have fair and balanced counter play that comes down to skill and macro decisions made throughout the match.
I feel like killers need to be brought to that level. Bring nurse and blight down to those levels, bring trapper and Myers and all the others up, and then you'll have a baseline of power within the game.
Then you can balance the base game mechanics and perks and maps and stuff around that. They tried balancing maps before and failed because what's balanced against one killer isn't balanced against them all because of the current power gap.
I’m a Killer main but I still like the survivors having some Killer Power interactions. I’ve always leaned towards Killers that have the most interactions with Killer Power.
Old Freddy, Pig, Plague, Twins, Pinhead are my most played. You give me a Killer with a Killer Power that survivors have to interact with and not just endure…I’ll probably start playing them. I haven’t given Onryo or Dredge a fair shot yet, so I couldn’t include them. I’m still unlocking P3 Killers.
Also I’m a tiny bit offended I didn’t see kidnapping Victor as an example lol.
They should have counterplay but that counterplay shouldn't be so simple and easy to pull off and neither should it completly disarm a killer. SADako's Condemned is pretty useless, it takes forever to get but is very easily disabled. Plus it also affects her Mobility, Turning Tv's off is way too simple and way to rewarding. Same thing as Revealing Ghostface, way too easy and completly shuts down the killer.
Then you can't counter Nurse, you can juke her but you can never counter her. You can force her to make a mistake but you can never disable her.
You don't control where Nurse can Blink, you don't control how manny times she Blinks, how fast she blinks but you can control and minize Condemned, you can power through Deep Wounds, you can avoid being 1 shotted by Myers or Ghostface by denying them the stalk , by using DH, Sprint Burst, Lithe, etc, you can quickly remove Pig's RBTs, you can disarm Trapper's Traps, you can burn Wraith, you can deny Corrupt Purge from Plague by stunning her, you can reset her fountains by using them all, there's just too much survivors can do to some killers and then there's the same few killers where survivors feel helpless against.
That interaction is healthy but most often it's just harmful towards killers because those interactions are way too simple for survivors and very damaging to killers.
Absolutly, kidnapping Victor...What can anyone say to justify that as possible!? did nobody play test it?
