You like to play stealthily? Here's what I'd suggest.
Kindred-
Kindred is the best solo perk, without a doubt. It gives you information when someone else is hooked, and gives your team information when you're on the hook. It gives you the best change of being unhooked on time and having your team be coordinated.
Decisive Strike-
DS is here only to prevent being tunneled/farmed. In general it's impossible to prevent being farmed but DS gives you the best possible chance of escaping that situation.
Fixated-
Fixated is a godly perk that's incredibly underrated, especially when combined with the final perk. The 20% increased walking speed should never be overlooked and seeing scratch marks is pretty neat too.
Sprint Burst-
Sprint Burst, when combined with Fixated, is amazing. It's the best exhaustion perk imo, and also helps you escape the situations where you're being tunneled/farmed (especially when combined with DS).
-
As far as I know, yes. Also stacks with Sprint Burst and Adrenaline, enabling you to run at 214% speed (50% of sprint burst + 50% of adrenaline + 7% of hope + 7% of Blood Pact).
-
Or they'd leave the perk alone until an early game exists, at which point it's no longer almost mandatory to use and nerfing it wouldn't make killer impossible to play.
-
If pre-throwing pallets becomes the meta then, and I can't believe I'm saying this, maps need more pallets.
If stealth becomes meta, it needs a hell of a buff.

In Leader's case, you can only be under the effect of one Leader perk at a time (with the higher value taking priority). Though as a general rule, positive modifiers (e.g. increased speed) stack additively, while negative multipliers (e.g. decreased speed) are multiplicative. If you were able to stack two Leaders, for example, each survivor would be healing at a rate of 1.5 CPS.
Thanks Peanits <3
-
@Peanits said:
You won't find that in the patch notes, but if you're looking for patch notes, you can either go to the patch notes section of the forums (from the front page or on the right), by clicking the Patch Notes link in the side panel under Useful Links, or by heading to the Info & Help button at the top of the page.
To answer the healing question though:
- Each survivor adds 1 charge per second (CPS) by default, and the heal takes 16 total.
- Leader adds 0.25 charges to each of them, so each survivor adds 1.25 CPS.
- 1.25 CPS x 2 survivors = 2.5 CPS
- 16 / 2.5 = 6.4 seconds to heal
Assuming there's no Sloppy Butcher or anything slowing it down, of course. There is no inefficiency to co-op actions on anything but generators.
Question- If I'm affected by 2 different Leader perks (ie person I'm healing and person helping me heal), is it capped at 25% (1.25c/s), does it increase to 50% (1.5c/s), or does it increase the 1.25 by another 25% leading to 56.25% (1.5625c/s)?

do you plan on bringing your console to me to "EDUCATE" me?
Your request here to be "educated", you pay for it. Otherwise can I introduce you to the concept of YouTube, or hell our resident Bubba main of @Yamaoka is a console gamer, as is @DudeDelicious perhaps you could ask them? Sure they'll back me up on the lack of a chat feature.

2) I was responding to you because of your comment about the console as well, yet I do not know how console works... do you plan on bringing your console to me to "EDUCATE" me?
3) my response is the same to both YOU and the OP... now I know consoles have no chat I mean still I can make the same comment.
@RedditUser69 I didn't say I didn't want it, just pointed out why waste time making that happen when there is something more important to be fixed.
I mean sure I'll send my Switch to you provided you pay for shipping costs, give it right back, and don't look at my hours played of Just Dance 2020.

SWF only neutralizes the location of the killer, but nothing of his/her other powers like reverting progress, hide in locker or bring back to life totems and hooks...
So you run bond, which the killer would have to show up on else the power be invalidated, and then you get a better version of object.
Theres no use to a killer who can do that if he can't kill people. They'll instantly be awful just because they can't get an easy jump. It'll be an easy solo stomper but swf would remain a powerhouse, the absolute opposite of what we need in balance.

I'm tired of hearing that. There is life after SWF dont u know? I only play solo
Okay? That doesn't change the fact they'd be utter neutered by a large section of the playerbase, no matter which side you play.
I've started playing primarily killer this past month because survivor is literally torture at this point. Doesn't change the fact I recognise swf would massacre this poor sod.
Maybe you're tired of hearing it because it's true?

this was not mentioned in the first message which reads "If I'm on my first hook and have deliverance primed and ready to go it should somehow notify my team that I'm able to save myself. Maybe with an icon on the bottom right of my team's screen akin to WMI except global while I'm hooked in phase 1.
This buffs a middle of the road perk for solo players without making it stronger for groups." there has been an EDIT to it.... but still Can I suggest that if you intend for this to be a discussion about the consoles, STATE it as such. I do not play on console, I do not know what consoles have specifically. How am I supposed to know this person is talking about consoles. oh yea the edit to the post.... doesn't even SAY it's talking about console it's talking in general.... hmmm I guess we are supposed to assume this is for console quality of life, but why is it that that should change how pc games work?
I'm not the OP man.
The comment I quoted you on says:
then say it in the beginning game chat. that is all.
Consoles do not have a beginning game chat and subsquently I brought them into this. OP wants a deliverance QOL change to ensure his team knows about the perk. Your solution is to tell them before the game. Consoles exist.
See the issue here?
Edit: Also if you look at the timestamps I posted my comment a minute before OP edited the post sooooo...
-
IMO stick Wraith up to High, Deathslinger down to Meh, and James can be jumped to low as well. Nurse should also be highest.
Agree with it mostly though.
-
The issue with a shapeshifter is that anyone on comms invalidates the entire power.
"Whos over by shack I need a heal?"
"Not me" x3
"Ah ######### it's that killer" then he legs it
-
Freddy is still my favourite but I do like Pyramid Daddy right now too. And Wraith is pretty cute, I mean pretty fun to play as well

Threads like this make it obvious, hardly anyone ever talks before a match. At most you get a "glhf" or "I need exit gate for daily" but RARELY ever see "k guys Im running deliverance"
in fact, I have NEVER seen it.
Can I interest you in the existence of console/mobile players?

So no more resets on the 13th?
Killers will retain their MMR ranking every month and no rank to climb, correct?
As far as I know there may be decay if you don't play in a while but yes, the MMR and Rank system will be completely separate. Ranks will still reset however this won't correlate with the matchmaking.
-
@MusicNerd_TC said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1463647#Comment_1463647
How will they choose our MMR ratings?
Through you playing. As you play your MMR rating will update based upon performance. Say if you win seven matches in a row as Nurse then your nurse MMR Rating will have increased whilst your Trapper rating will not have changed at all.
Basically your 70 win streak with Forever Freddy + Ebony won't affect you trying to learn Pyramid Head now.
Ranks will be used for commemorative purposes until the devs add in Rank Rewards, which they stated interest in doing in the post.
-
Ranks aren't used for matchmaking.
Each killer has their own individual MMR rating. This will be hidden but used for matchmaking purposes.
Ranks for survivor and killers will remain the same.
-
@Maperson said:
Hey, does anyone know when MMR will come?
Being tested on Xbox 1. If all goes well it should go live in a couple weeks.
@NekoGamerX said:
is how the MMR work each killer got they own rank?
Yes. Each killer has a different MMR rating, which allows you to play, say, Pyramid Head without fear of your 70 Forever Freddy Winstreak interfering.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LFYVZLBFOZE7/matchmakingchangesstatusupdate.png
Today, we have enabled the first phase of our new Matchmaking System for all regions on Xbox One. Read on for more info on our next steps for rolling out the new system!
We have been running smaller tests of the system on select Xbox One regions for the past few weeks, and the results have been encouraging. The rollout on all Xbox One regions is the next step in testing the system on a wider audience. If all goes well, we are planning on rolling out this feature for all platforms in a couple of weeks.
The next phase that you will notice goes live with the upcoming mid-chapter update: We are no longer allowing Killers to switch their character while searching for a match, or once in a lobby (excluding Custom Matches). This will allow the new Matchmaking System to track player skill with each killer individually and match them against more appropriately skilled opponents based on their killer selection.
To put it simply: If you are great with The Oni but you struggle with The Nurse, you will now be playing against stronger survivors when you play The Oni than you do with The Nurse.
What does this mean?
The most obvious thing you will see when the new system is active is that there will be a greater variation of Ranks in a single match. Rank 1s playing Rank 20s? It’s possible, don’t panic when you see this, as Ranks are not a true indicator of a player’s skill and are no longer used for matchmaking.
Additionally, this system comes with a revamped algorithm for matchmaking as a whole. This should improve wait times for finding matches, and we will continue to tweak this part of the system to improve them further over the coming months.
Why replace Ranks?
Ranks are not a great way of figuring out how good a player is at the game, because it primarily focuses on "How often you play" and not on "How skilled you are when you play". Based on our matchmaking studies, there are a great deal of “low” ranked players (15-20) who can easily play just as well as “high” ranked players (1-5), but they simply don’t play enough games in a month to increase their rank before they reset on the 13th. And as an inverse, there are Rank 1 -5 players who perform at levels more typical of lower ranks but they play so many games that their rank is higher than expected. This results in unpredictable games: All five players may have the exact same rank but wildly different skill levels in practice, making matches unbalanced.
How are Ratings better?
The new Rating system is focused on measuring a player’s skill and predicting how they will perform against a given opponent. This way we can build matches that are more objectively fair for everyone in the game. We have analyzed over 3 million games (at last count) during our tests, and the matchmaking system is proving to be extremely accurate at predicting the outcomes of matches.
By using this new system, we will be able to place players into more balanced matches more often. When a match is unbalanced, the system will know exactly how unbalanced it is and adjust the player Ratings accordingly.
Why are there still Ranks?
Matchmaking has been and continues to be one of the hottest topics we hear about, and we have been listening! To get this implemented as quickly as possible, we have decided to roll it out independent of a rework of the Rank system. That doesn’t mean we don’t have plans for Ranks, however! We are exploring different ideas like turning them into a monthly activity tracker and reward system, when we are ready, we'll communicate more about that
I still have questions!
That’s great! We are planning on doing more posts explaining the system in detail, as well as Q&As with the developers who have been working on it. Keep your eyes on the forums and official Dead by Daylight social media channels to learn more.

Survivors would get toned-down version of DS and Kindred.
Killer's would get a toned-down version of PGTW.
New DS and PGTW would buff these to their current values.
Example DS stun is 3 seconds, +1/+1.5/+2 if you're using the perk, PGTW is 10% instant regression for 60 seconds, +5/+10/+15 when using the perk.

Yea...A different animation. Spirit, hag and myers are impossible to blind on pallets. Windows mean you dont have an angle. You can always blind them on Windows. If you start the blind before they start the break animation, you can blind them still. You should save your flashlight for saves though.
Myers can be blinded at pallets and windows.

I think so even if survivors are saying that "never has been this easy to play killer". I cameback to the game a month ago after 2 years being out, and I remember I used to 4k like 15 times in a row with Billy.
Now it feels like they have so many tools to just ######### you and one single chase that you make a mistake you lose all gens. So you can't full commit as a Killer, so eventually you get bored of the role because the more fun thing "chases" are worthless.
It's never been easier to play killer, coming from someone who's been playing more and more killer recently since survivor is nothing but frustrating.
Learn when to slug, who to chase and to where, get a 3 gen from the start. Play killers you're comfortable with using perks you're comfortable with.

Kindred doesn't prevent camping. Knowing where a survivor is doesn't prevent camping. Nothing can prevent camping, slugging, or tunnelling, but these 3 actions can be punished which Kindred cannot do.
BT doesn't prevent camping. Camping is literally trying to stop others from unhooking you. The killer chasing you after being unhooked is tunnelling and BT does help to an extent but compared to my perk, it doesn't get the killer off you. BT is only 100% useful if you are close to an open exit gate.
Forgot that about Soul Guard but it's still very situational like Unbreakable and No Mither which rarely happens and more than likely, killer will pick you up or immediately down you after recover.
I've played the game at least a year I'm pretty sure and I do prefer playing survivor. I'm not so good at killer rn.
I could tell you preferred survivor. Give killer a pretty big whirl, get good as both sides then reevaluate your points. It's not possible to play fair 100% of the time no matter how much I try to.
Your perks would break the game.
-
I agree we should delete OoO but taking out your anger with an ebony on another team with no connection to the other ain't the play chief.

@D_Orien said:

Not broken. They just punish toxic players. And those perks you think of are 9/10 useless.
@D_Orien said:
Slugging is a group thing and Unbreakable only helps yourself to which you can just be quickly downed again. Most times, it's useless and you will rarely get to use it, even if with a slugging killer as most times, survivors are all together. Unbreakable isn't really such a big anti to slugging. But my perk helps everybody and prevents the situation of there only being 1 survivor not downed.
No Mither is just as useless as Unbreakable, only slightly less. Same purpose, just eternally.
Soul Guard lets you take one more hit after recovering from the dying state but that happening is rare. Not a good counter.
Flip Flop and Buckle Up aren't amazing in any way and aren't game changers.
Kindred doesn't prevent slugging.
I'm sorry but I am serious. Tunnellers deserve to be stunned that long (10 seconds).
Unbreakable singlehandedly wins games and takes a 3/4k to a 0k with its strength. If you use it correctly you win. What do you mean
No Mither prevents a killer slugging and forces you to be hooked or ignored, leading to your team being able to reset in that time or you being able to reset your team.
Soul Guard also allows you to recover fully from the dying state infinitely when a Hex is in play.
Flip Flop when you've been fully recovered let's you easily escape and lead another chase.
Buckle Up let's you be the one left standing and easily recover from the situation with information, like the location of the killer and who is most recovered.
Kindred prevents hook camping, another thing you were against.
Borrowed helps prevent camping and let's your team form a shield around you in those 15 seconds, or allows you to reach a tile to continue looping.
If you tunnel sure. But ds is too inconsistent with actually preventing tunneling and the perk requires a full rework to stop being tunneled and not just let you be hyper-aggressive for 60 seconds. 5 seconds of stun is more than enough; again imagine being hit with a 59 second ds and enduring a 10 second stun. You lose the game and this would cause the 3rd Slugging Meta to begin.
Can I just ask; how long have you played the game and do you by any chance prefer playing survivor?
And no, your perk ideas are absolutely ######### broken.
-
Unbreakable.
Borrowed time.
Decisive strike.
No Mither.
Soul Guard.
Flip Flop.
Buckle Up.
Kindred.
Those perk ideas sound quite literally game breaking and would make Pyramid head meta just because of his ability to ignore them.
Edit: that ds buff? A 10 second long stun? Are you actually serious?
All I can really say is "no"; this would actually make killer impossible. Imagine being hit with a 59 second ds and then get a 10 second stun and blind for it.
No.
-
@luvcraft said:
oh! how did they break in 1.9.2?
They removed any form of timing. If you got a pallet save or a flashlight blind at any point during the animation, the entire animation would play in full (bearing in mind this was also before the pick up speed change, when it still took over 3 seconds to pick up) and then the survivor would be freed. It was hellish to play and made survivor so incredibly easy provided your team had brain cells. It lead to the second real slugging meta, even though it only lasted a few days (AFAIK the first one was back when old DS first released).
It took no skill and it broke the game.

farming doesn't count. 😜
I've gotten many, many, many saves using only a yellow flashlight in non-farming games, some of which have been the reason we've won matches.
You can blind killers with every type of flashlight, you just need to learn the timing and where to aim. They take skill to use, as they should; freely saving anyone you want would be absolutely busted as shown in patch 1.9.2.
It honestly does seem like you need more practice with them. "Git gud" if you will.
