As someone that really wants the X-files to join dbd, I have a feeling that Supernatural would end up chosen before x-files lol. X-files was prettymuch the original before supernatural and was quite well known back then in the 90s, but the show ended long ago and was replaced by supernatural being a more modern show. And unless someone is like 25-30+ years old they won't even remember what X-files is mostly. Comparing the shows they do have very similar styles like "Iconic duo investigates unexplainable murders/problems". Fox Mulder and Dana Skully are FBI agents so when they get to a scene they are supposed to be there and can flash a legit badge to get info, and are funded by their jobs. Meanwhile Sam and Dean Winchester live off credit card scams and have to make fake id's and aliases everytime they want to get info/sneak in somewhere lol.
But yea, supernatural is probably more wanted these days as i'm sure the population of dbd has a majority of younger players who grew up with supernatural rather than x-files.
Ive heard so many good things about the X-Files, in fact one of my good friends that plays dbd is a fan of it and also really wants Mulder and Scully in dbd. X-Files is actually on my watch list, and im genuinely excited to watch it. Because once Sam and Dean (hopefully) get added, im gonna need a new survivor license to want in dbd. Dbd isnt ending anytime soon, and as far as Im concerned theyre gonna keep on adding licenses to bring in content, players and money
X-Files would certainly fit, and I wouldn't even be upset if they got added first. It would just prompt me to watch the show sooner

Yes please. I know the actress for Sam died and its horrible. While I would have loved her, I think Mike would be a great survivor to have with maybe the other characters as legendaries

This is why I cannot wait for killer bots. Once they get those in the game, the DC penalty should just be eradicated. I think you should still lose all the bloodpoints and get your rank downgraded, but aside from that there shouldnt be a ban on matchmaking. I think it would ultimately be healthy for a game, so if you ever get toxic teammates or your game crashes, you dont have to worry about getting banned from matchmaking

I think more tutorials would be super beneficial to new players, especially if they offer bloodpoints.
Also in my opinion, custom matches should give half of blood points and ban bloodpoint offerings. That way people can practice and still earn some bloodpoints while they do so, to give them a chance to upgrade their characters

I completely agree! And honestly, the fact that Jensen and Jared did both of the Hillywood musical parodies makes me think that they would be open to voice sam and dean in the game. Also since they are in NO other games at all

Honestly I have been asking for some non human humanoid characters. It would make sense that the entity takes anybody, and if done right I think TMNT could fit in DBD

Im not kidding, I have had this EXACT conversation with people before. It would be really cool to see a survivor have different blood, and his bloody prestige would possibly cover him in blue blood rather than red blood. I think he and anyone else from Detroit become human would make a great addition to dbd

Someone mentioned supernatural competing with X-Files, and i do think both will be added eventually. However I may be biased, i do believe supernatural may come sooner rather than later. It has been exploding in popularity recently in the dbd community, and is in the top 3 licenses for a survivor only chapter. The actors for Sam and Dean are very involved with them, and I think they'll be added eventually

Any and all content based on Lovecraft's work is a welcoming addition. Personally, i'd go for a full chapter in of itself.
Containing the pantheon from the lovecraft mythos inside the fog is not an issue for The Entity, as canonically speaking, it is both omnipresent & omnipotent without exception inside its own domain. It doesn't matter who or what is inside its domain or how powerful they normally are, because being inside its domain in the first place, means it has already won by default. It's moreso outside the fog that The Entity while still powerful, is not as strong as within its domain. And the actual question would how The Entity would go about bringing them in, if it's even strong enough or not to forcefully do so.
Of course, if someone like Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep or any of the other elder or outer gods from the lovecraftian pantheon were to appear in some map based on lovecraft's work, i think chances are that the reasoning behind their appearance, would instead be that they would just be another case of The Entity taking the memories people have of something and recreating it in the fog. Such as people's memories of the lovecraftian gods or locations tied to them.
Regarding your point about bringing them in, perhaps it would make a deal as it did with pyramidhead or vecna? And then we both know that once whatever is in the realm, deal or not, the entity has full control now.
Honestly the addition of cthulu only being a memory would make much more sense than the entity taking them or any of the other ones similar to cthulus power. The entity hasnt shown itself to be that powerful, and it would be unfortunate for fans of lovecraft to see magnificent entities lose to a rather new creation in recent years.
Hell, even as a memory i think itll work perfectly, itll be scary nonetheless

I don't know about no horror or fantasy, as other big name authors have contributed to both genres long before Lovecraft's time.
However, Lovecraft is most definitely the godfather of cosmic horror/Lovecraftian horror, and we most likely wouldn't have had that specific horror subgenre be what it is today without him.
What if there was a Lovecraftian map? Where an entity like cthulu is just lurking in the distance, beyond the border of the map. I honestly think that would be really cool (if the entity is strong enough to contain cthulu of course)

I think once they add killer bots, the dc penalty should no longer exist (except for loss of bloodpoints ofc). Cause the games where the killer hard tunnels a survivor out just makes the game not fun anymore, and it would be nice to have an option to at least leave the match.

I completely agree, and I think Sam and Deans best chance is being the anniversary mid chapter survivors either in 2027 or 2028, or any year beyond that. However I really hope theyre coming soonish😭

I would love Gabriel as a legendary skin but I dont know if they would add a biblical angel to the game. HOWEVER, theres always Bobby, Castiel, Rowena, Charlie, Crowley, Mary, John. If they ever get added my love would be complete

Ive been begging for supernatural in dbd for so long. And if it were to be a map, I actually think that the bunker would be an amazing choice too. And best part about it, the bunker has a garage where you could leave. The garage itself could be an exit gate, and you get alot more bloodpoints if you take the impala with you!
As for skins, theres so many good ones I can think of. Early season skins, FBI Sam and Dean, Lucifer white suit sam, Michael Dean, Deans leather jacket, sams hoodie, mark of cain dean (or demon dean). And maybe for Sams prestige head piece, hid mouth is covered in blood (from drinking demon blood).
As for Legendaries theres so many good options. Castiel, Crowley, Bobby Singer, Rowena, John, Mary, Charlie. GOSH I hope behavior adds the chapter one day

I only started playing DBD because they added TWD and I’m currently on a journey to get Rick / Michonne to P100. I guess I’m technically a Michonne main, as I alternate between Rick, Daryl, Maggie and Michonne. Soon I’ll be adding Glenn to that mix.
Although I wish Andrew and Norman had also provided the grunts of pain / hook screams like Lauren did, I don’t think they’re as bad as people make out and I do think they sound quite similar to the actual actors, especially Daryl. At times it sounds like Norman to me.

I actually get quite a lot of survivors switching to TWD survivors when I enter the lobby, so there’s definitely still a strong fandom for them within the DBD community.
Right?? This is how I feel about it too! Honestly Im so glad that Lauren Cohan did the screams, maybe she needed the cash or shes just super passionate about nobody else playing Maggie. Regarding Glenn, we actually know what hes gonna sound like! The same actor who voiced Glenn in TWD Destinies is voicing him in dbd. You can search up the "Twd Destinies Glenn Trailer" to see what he'll sound like

I've seen some of the rare people push through and main them either way (haven't seen a michonne main though) But i've seen allot more say they were pushed away from playing them because of how they feel like the quality of the characters is much lower due to the sounds.
I don't doubt even the diehard fans would love to have the screams sounding closer to the actors if it was possible.
Oh I agree myself, my brother and most others would prefer they have better screams. Im just saying in this case and possibly others its possible to get used to (for me at least. I know its harder for others)

It depends what you count as a win. Personally, I count it as a win for the killer if they get at least 2 kills. In my time playing dbd, I die way more as survivor than survive the match

I mean i guess its different for everyone? My brother is the most die hard twd fan. He was a little weirded out by their screams initially, but quickly got used to it and now has Rick at p100. Once you play Rick and Daryl enough you get used to their screams pretty quickly

Aside from that they mentioned a new livestream to go over changes to the game that havent been talked about yet like quality of life n stuff, no date just "during the summer" or something. Maybe more reveals then. And a new interview revealed they are working on more prestige rewards.
Cote also in an interview recently stated how there are still more surprises to come, im thinking they wanted to save some announcements so that the rest of the year didnt feel bland

Sam and Dean Winchester are a matter of when than if in my opinion. They are owned by Warner brothers, and we know that behavior has worked with WB since scooby doo is now getting added in December. Sam and Dean fit the game very well and I do think alot of people would come to the game just to play as them

I completely agree! Ive been asking for years, and recently ive noticed alot more people requesting it than ever before! Im sure the devs have noticed! Also, scooby doo is a warner brothers property. This means that supernatural is definitely an option now cause theyre both owned by Warner brothers!

You can check my posts, I have been BEGGING for a supernatural collab in dbd. The reason I believe it would really work is because Sam and Dean arent in any game whatsoever. So if they were to come to dbd, alot of people would start playing dbd just to have a chance at playing as Sam and Dean! I feel like theyre the most fitting survivors for the game, and in recent years I have seen a TON of people request them in the game

I would love that, the creepy vibe alone from seeing a seemingly friendly mom emerge from the killer shack to chase you. And even as a survivor, it would be really cool to have another morally grey or 'evil' survivor!

It is very likely that Jason will release without any survivors, just like Soringtrap last year.
It is possible there will be licensed survs from another franchise, but just very unlikely, the perks would be untested/without PTB and it would be two licenses releasing at the same time which could be seen as competing for sales.
As for the question, imo Until Dawn needs to come with a killer/The Wendigo, otherwise Sam would be my top pick here
Last year springtrap came out as the anniversary and TWD came out in the mid chapter, so it's entirely possible we could get a licensed survivor in July!

That said, I actually haven't seen that many Kates, Sables or Fengs in my recent Killer games. From my last 20 Killer games, Lara is the most popular individual Survivor (7 Laras Vs 4 Sables). I almost always see at least one Resident Evil character in my lobbies, too (partly why I don't want to see another chapter. I'm kinda tired of seeing these guys). I wonder if I see so more Laras because I'm on the UK/Ireland servers…
For the lack of cosmetics that Meg gets, you'd never know she was the fourth most popular original Survivor overall, at least according to these figures (I suspect they are similar to BHVR's own numbers). Perhaps Meg mains don't spend a lot on skins. But then all we seem to get from BHVR are sports related cosmetics or scraps from the table like the recolours that really should have been on the free track of the current rift. What have the devs got against us megheads?
So I think it possibly relates to my region? Also a good chunk of these numbers comes from 2v8, where people didnt have to use bloodpoints to unlock a good load out. Im not sure how much that effects it, but either way people just have different experiences i guess. I personally love resident evil but I get what youre saying, I think they should just stick to more legendary skins if they want to add more characters
