This would just make one survivor stronger than all the others and kill any items you have on other survivors. For example I have 30 event flashlights and 13 utility flashlights on my claudette but say her item is a medkit, what they'll just get pushed onto like Meg who's item would be a flashlight or would they be deleted anyway?
Also, I have David, Claudette, Kate, Feng, and Jane p3 50 all perks. What if out of all 5 of these I don't cover all 5 items--keys, toolboxes, flashlights, maps, and med kits? Am I expected to grind up characters I don't enjoy just so I can use the item I want?

Fire Up OP, pls nerf!
On a more serious note, I've played DBD roulette every now and then after I saw Otz use it on stream few days back. I recommend giving it a try.
?gg nerf fire up
But nah in all seriousness dbd roulette lost its charm a while back and at this point it's just like "oh okay guess I'm a killer main now" cause no matter what I do survivor is always unfun to play.
-
I'm the opposite, actually. I'll be playing killer having a blast then think "huh, haven't played survivor in a while. Maybe I should give it a go, see if a friend wants to join." at which point I'll be assaulted by 7 ebony moris in a row followed by an onslaught of stridor spirits who for some reason ONLY ever manage to see the P3 Claudette and not the Jeff with a crown standing right in front of them, all of whom naturally have noed, and I'm like,
But yeah for some reason killer is much more fun recently. Even playing with nothing but Fire Up is hilarious to me.

trust me im not the only one. Deal with it
Oh no you're not the only one, as the massive influx of posts suggests.
You wanna camp and tunnel? Go for it lol I mostly play killer so it doesn't affect me in the slightest. Just know you lose privileges to complain about anything "toxic" that may happen to you.
-
As a killer main (at this point) please ignore this one person, I promise the minority on the forums don't represent everyone and that there are still people out there who don't camp/tunnel and don't bring an ebony whenever someone just wants to play with their friends.
Oh and op, enjoy this being the last post you can make complaining about tbagging/clicking/anything else "toxic" - you ruin their experience so now they can ruin yours. Goes both ways.

i dont camp and tunel, i only saying killer kill and survivor gen rush, bcs gen rush its not like t bag, if u want win as survivor u need to gen rush, t bag is bad, but gen rush it is necessary in any match
> if you want to win as survivor you need to genrush
I've had 25 minute long games that ended in a 4 escape. We didn't gen rush, we played stealthily. Killer 2 hooked me, someone else, and 1 hooked the other 2. Was it fun for the killer? Not sure, had a pretty lengthy chase with me at the start and from what I guessed in endgame chat another 3 minute one at the end which let us do the final 2 gens.
Genrushing isn't required to win, like you don't have to tunnel/camp to win. Saying otherwise is just wrong.

killer kill survivors, and survivors gen rush. thats the game.
You camp and tunnel and ruin someone's experience you lose all privilege to complain about anything unfun the survivor's do.
If you 12 hook people as Legion without camping or tunneling I'll believe you when it comes to people being toxic more than someone who plays stridor spirit with Yakuyoke Amulet and Mother Daughter Ring each game and does the fabled PhaseCamp™ where they phase away, recharge slightly, then phase eight back

I wholeheartedly agree*; and, with that said, my point is further reinforced by your statement. You insist he must improve instead of acknowledging and accepting that his personal priority is having fun.
*He does not need to improve, however it may be best if he did.
Ah I see what you mean.
Then let me be clearer about what I mean; to have more fun playing this game, and to play in a way fun for the opposition as well, op must improve. If they find getting their singular kill fun the all power to them go right ahead, but by employing scummy tactics they lost all right to complain about other scummy tactics that could occur in game, and is also not exactly a good killer. I feel like op would have a better experience if they got better at the game, hence why I kept saying "need".
Like if a survivor died within the first 5 minute of a match because they can't hide or loop, instead of blaming the game or the killer they need to improve to have fun.

I got two builds on him, my Cage Build and my Regular Build. Been playing with him a lot recently too.
Build 1 (Regular)
Perks:
I'm All Ears
A Nurse's Calling
BBQ
Pop Goes The Weasel
Add-ons:
Valteil-Sect Photograph, Tablet of the Oppressor
I'm All Ears and Nurse's provide invaluable wallhacks, which should never be underestimated on a killer who can hit through walls. BBQ is still one of the best perks in the game, and Pop is the typical gen regression perk that's almost a requirement right now. The add-ons increase the time you can use your power, and increase the recharge time of said power. Alternate add-ons you can use are Spearhead and Forgotten Videotape, basically the weaker versions of those add-ons.
Build 2 (Cage)
Perks:
I'm All Ears
A Nurse's Calling
Monitor and Abuse
Infectious Fright
Add-ons:
Valteil-Sect Photograph, Tablet of the Oppressor
The purpose of this build is to utilise cages much more often. I'm All Ears and Nurse's continue to provide the wallhacks that are so good on Pyramid Head. Monitor both allows you to approach survivors easier, and combos well with Infectious Fright. Speaking of, Infectious allows you to know if someone is nearby. This lets you cage a survivor if someone is nearby and begin another chase very very soon, which applies a tremendous amount of pressure. If nobody's nearby, then just hook them and move on. Same alternate add-ons you can use too.
Alternatively if you're done with the alternate add-ons, double range add-ons (Burning Man Photo, Wax Doll) can be exceptional. Having an extra 1.5m on your Punishment shouldn't ever be underrated, particularly with Nurse's and I'm All Ears.
Also, as another tip: Only break god pallets. Your best bet of hitting Punishment of the Damned is when someone is stuck in an animation, vaulting windows/pallets or dropping them. Force people into a damned if you do damned if you don't scenario, since you can cancel your power almost instantly and get the hit, or get an easy m2. You can even deal with shack pallet being dropped like this, but it's still reccommended you break it.
-
10% increase on a great.
The current percent is 1.
No thanks.

Skin name: The Entity's Slave
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/444/XIYGHZGMPW67.jpg
Wraith wears a hoodie that's covered in dried-up blood.
The bones coming out of his head have grown more and through his hoodie, and they're shaped into a jagged version of devil horns.
The hoodie covers his face in blackness or black smoke, but his bright eyes still shine through.
Several Entity legs come out from within the hoodie, moving a little bit in a calm manner.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/788/KHFSWEH1BFYU.jpg
The cloak is completely shredded, and the remains are covered in dried-up blood.
Wraith's skin has become a dark-grey tint, and has a very dry look.
Skin starts peeling off by itself, with the thick black lines all over his body indicating parts that peel off.
Some protrusions similar to hydrothermal vents have grown out of him at some places on his body, which emit black smoke.
3 Entity legs have grown out of his torso, which surround a giant hole in his chest.
This hole is kept open by his rib bones, which the Entity has shaped into an octagon so the hole stays open.
In this hole, the Entity has placed a giant Auric Cell with some Auric veins connecting it to the torso, giving it full control over Philip.
The 3 Entity Legs move a bit in a calm manner, but they also sometimes jab the Auric Cell, which is practically stabbing Philip in the heart, making it very torturous.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/145/XVJZDOZMDN2V.jpg
The arms are just like the torso: Dried-up skin, skin rips itself off, some protrusions emitting black smoke.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/516/B5APQMRI4DVY.jpg
His weapon is a big Entity leg.
It either grows out of the upper part of his right wrist and he swings it without holding it, or he grows it out of the lower part of his right wrist, allowing him to grasp the leg at the base.
The Entity leg weapon is pretty much like a regular Entity leg, except the blade looks much sharper.
It also moves on its own a bit in a calm manner, like the ones coming out of his hoodie.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/932/X2D7SY2JH701.jpg
His legs are just like the torso & arms: Dried-up skin, skin rips itself off, some protrusions emitting black smoke.
The bandages are also covered in dried-up blood, some may be torn as well, and maybe some protrusions emitting black smoke grew through a few bandages.
Date it was posted: April 23rd, 2020.

In my opinion swap out Surveillance for I'm All Ears- teachable from level 30 from The Ghostface.
Also, another tip that hasn't been said yet: never break pallets. God pallets, yeah, break em, but the rest of the pallets you don't have to break at all and if a survivor tried to loop you then force them into a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.
Also, use your cages only if you know someone is very nearby and you can start a chase almost immidiately again. Otherwise you're better off saving the torment for Judgement and just hooking.

Teabagging, clicking, and emoting is for demoralizing the killer. Very effective strategy in the age of no DC penalty. Something something, good day.
Being camped and tunneled is demoralizing for the survivors.
And yet tbagging, clicking, and emoting doesn't affect your gameplay at all, like camping and tunneling are legitimate strategies. If you're fine with one, you should be fine with the other.
-

I think this discussion highlights a particularly insidious problem with the community's perception of the Killer role; generally players expect that a killer player's number one priority is improving their skill as opposed to having fun.
Oh no, it's more that you can have fun playing killer (I mean, I do quite frequently anyway) and not have to ruin 4 people's experience. Sure, you paid for the game, but so did they.
Chances are if you're getting 1 kill per game, every game, you need to improve.
-
To add to this,
Tbagging, clicking, and emoting have no impact on gameplay, nor on you.
Have a good day.

I cant exactly practice when my queue times are 15 minutes or longer. Plus, if the game is rewarding me for what I'm doing now then thats what I am going to keep doing.
You can? It's called playing the game to improve?
I have a friend who couldn't play Nurse- still can't tbh. 20 minute queues but he was determined and played nothing but nurse for almost 20 hours. Not including queue times, just recording his games. He's infinitely better now than he was at the start.
Play to learn and you'll improve. Play to remain the same and that's all that will happen.

Sure if you face survivors who genrush bad or don't genrush at all. A problem is m1 killers as well. Maybe if you are playing freddy or billy you have a chance, but what if you are playing doc or bubba? (Which is a m2 killer , but he's really uneffective right now due to his low chainsaw speed)
Sure go watch my Twitch VODs and judge the survivor's for yourself. Like I said tho @Respectfulnancymain has seen me play so feel free to ask them for their thoughts too. Same with Musicnerd.
-
Pop goes the Weasel- does it really need explaining? It's a beautiful perk that rewards you for playing well.
I'm all ears- incredibly underrated, would recommend, gives you wallhacks for easy mindgames.
Surge- also underrated, on M1 killers surge is a godsend and helps regress gens amazingly.
Save the best for last- also gorgeous on M1 killers, STBFL let's you get back into a chase quicker.
-
I'm all for it. It makes survivor a whole lot more fun and as killer I either get the satisfaction of beating them or I can tell myself "it's fine they were on comms shouldn't have expected to win". Helps my ego and let's me have fun; win win scenario.

If I dont camp I lose anyway. I used to be rank 20 and never camped and after like 100 games of never getting a single kill I have way more fun camping and guaranteeing a kill since it makes me feel better that i was actually a killer.
I went from rank 20 to rank 8 by camping with hillbilly (sad hes getting nerfed but I mean if he was able to carry someone as bad as me i guess he needed it) using a build with Hex: No One Escapes Death, Hex: Haunted Ground, Make Your Choice, and Iron Maiden.
Been thinking of changing MYC to Insidious though.
If after 100 games you weren't getting a single kill then seriously you need to get better.

but yeah sorry for coming off as a jerk?? I don't mean to.
Sorry I misunderstood then but glad we both agree.

once again, never said it wasn't realistic to be thing. saying a body type is the most normal/realistic isn't me saying other body types aren't realistic. I don't know where you're getting that from?
it's also wrong to say someones body type isn't realstic cause they aren't thin lol
I'm well aware it's wrong, I took issue with your wording "most realistic", particularly most. Used to show when something is better or more important than another.
In this context I took "most realistic" to mean Jane's body is more realistic than others.
-

no, I'm obviously referring to her statement that "Jane's butt isn't a human butt."
if you like feeling oppressed for being thin so much that you misinterpret my response in that way, that's a you problem
Bruh I'm overweight what do you mean
I'm referring to your statement Jane has the "most realistic" body in the game; saying that thinner people are less realistic than plus sized people is just wrong.
-
So thin people aren't realistic then?
Theres representation of a lot of people in dbd, calling one more "realistic" than the other is just wrong.

Tunneling is necessary SOMETIMES when you want to 4K, as proven by Fungoose. However it is pretty situational for me. The only time I tunnel, I don't even pick the survivor up, I slug and snowball map pressure.
But you agree going after the same person all game until they die is not necessary at all, correct?
-

He's good and sometimes he does
I'm more interested at having fun right now than improving, I'll focus on that when I can get games as fast as I can when I play survivor but with a 15 minute queue I have to make the games count.
I've tried not camping for almost 100 hours now and its just resulted in dissapointment. Camping has let me climb rank super fast and have fun.
I'd rather take the 1 kill I can guarantee than get 0 kills and wait another 15 minutes for a game
So you have fun standing in front a hook doing nothing?
To each their own I suppose.
-
@LinkOfSerevillon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1467282#Comment_1467282
Probably not but like I said I'm not going to get any better when I have 15 minute queues. If the queues for killer was shorter then maybe I wouldnt camp since I can play games back to back but as it stands, I'm not going to go 15 minutes and not have a kill.
I don't have a problem finding people I have a problem getting them down. I tried before having BBQ and Discordance and it was great until then i realized it didnt matter much since they get away while others do gens.
I've watched a lot of videos I especially like Otzdarva, but I'm just not as good as he is. Maybe that will change when I can get more killer games into a session.
Camping is what works for me and what enabled me to rank up. I was rank 20 for 3 months until I realized that I have to make killer games count.
And if you watch Otz does he camp?
You won't ever improve if you do so, it's as simple as that. You'll never improve at downing people if you don't chase many of them and you'll never improve at pressure if you just stay around the hook.
-
TUNNELING ISN'T NECESSARY AS I'VE PROVEN BY KILLING AT RED RANKS WITHOUT DOING SO.
FEEL FREE TO ASK @2ndBusiestmusicnerd OR @Respectfulnancymain BECAUSE THEY'VE BOTH SEEN ME PLAY.
WHY ARE WE YELLING??!
Edit: I stg I've tried to fix the same typo three times now.
-
It's great you had to rant but the harsh trust is you will never, never, get better as killer if you camp. The matchmaking is incredibly harsh right now but all that means is that you'll be getting better in chases against better players.
Also, no offence, but your ideal build isn't too good. Sure there's perks that can one shot but its no use being able to do so if you can't find survivors (information builds) and slow the game (gen perks). Particularly you said you preferred to play one shot killers? Then there's no point using one shot perks as it's part of the base kit; you enhance strength with perks (like Nurses or I'm All Ears on Pyramid Head) or help cover weaknesses (like PWYF on Bubba helping his rather bad chase potential).
Watch some videos on how to run tiles, watch people who play lots of killer (I suggest ZubatLEL and ScottJund for two very entertaining but also educational streamers. There's also Otzdava, NotOtzdava, and Fungoose.) and you'll learn and improve like that.
The best way to improve is through playing, but camping won't ever improve your skills.
Also as one last point; don't make the same mistake I did. Don't become reliant on NOED (No One Escapes Death) because when it doesn't activate you'll be ruined. You're much better off learning killer without it then putting it on, instead of learning with it then having to re-learn when you take it off.
-
Sure it's the most efficient but it's not satisfying, fun, and since I have a moral compass and play survivor I try my best to not do it. I'd much rather get 1k by playing as "fair" as possible than get a 4k by being a #########.
-
imo Whispers is better because of it's early and late game use. Discordance is only really used in the early and mid game, but if you've played your cards right you shouldn't need it mid-game.
Also, the constant discordance procs, regardless of tier, really get to me. It makes it harder for me to track surviviors, focus on the chase, and sends my stress levels through several different ceilings and into low-earth orbit. So that perks a definite no-no for me.
Personally I use neither, but if I had to then I'd say Whispers is the better choice.

I don't think adding pallets would make much sense considering that they are nerfing loops probably to give killers some time to do things.
If pre-throwing every pallet becomes the meta then good luck on Swamp with a total of 8.

Because they have improved speed when LF is using his chainsaw, but still a weak killer. Windows is still a problem for him and you still need to be very close to the survivor to use the chainsaw efficiently.
Actually with the increased speed and the 3 charges, leading to a 6 second long dash, he can be very lethal at some loops. It's like a Pig ambush but one-shot. This is without a doubt a buff.
Also OP, it's a buff because he got stronger. If that makes him a top tier killer or not doesn't matter; Bubba got stronger and so it's a buff.
-
Spirit is the second strongest (and arguably strongest depending on platform and map) killer in the game. She comes with two very strong perks- Spirit Fury and Hex: Haunted Grounds, and a power that people literally would rather take a 5 minute DC penalty than play against (yes ik dc penalties don't exist right now). She's relatively simple to pick up provided you have basic map/tile knowledge and a headset that costs more than £20.
She has some busted add-on combinations, and is overall definitely worth the money right now.
Also you get Deliverance and Autodidact too which is pretty nifty.
-
Never had it happen to me but I've used it on some poor souls.
Deliverenced at endgame, they couldn't touch me. Free escape for me and my team.
Absolutely ######### busted.

Not bad. Thank you. I hate running decisive strike, thought I admit it's a nice thing to have when you get tunneled!
Personally I'd use it.
You don't have to force a locker stun, damned if you do damned if you don't scenario. It's just there as a safety net and you can actually use it as an anti-tunnel perk.
Plus, it helps; hitting DS is some great practice for hitting great checks/overcharge checks.
