  • Umm I dunno its hard to choose.

Alien probably is my fave. Alien 2 I enjoy slightly more but that's more of an action. Also watch the Director's cuts, they make them even better than their solid Theatrical releases. Especially Alien 2.

Why? Because Alien has amazing atmosphere, great acting and a stellar set design. There is nothing I can really think about it that I dislike.

    Also the following are great:

Black Christmas is amazing (the original, not the remake).
REC. This is a great found footage film. Much better than the american remake.
    Silence of the Lambs.
    Misery.
    Carrie.
Suspiria. The orignal. I need to rewatch the remake to 100% understand my feels on it.
    Friday the 13th part 1 or 2... or 6.
Nightmare on Elm Street part 2. So gay. I love it.
    Krampus.
    The Shining.
    The Thing.
    It Follows.
Cabin in the Woods was good too.
    Hereditary.
Scream is great, horror and comedy.
Sorority Row is cheesy as hell but its hilarious.
    The Descent is great.
    Night of the Living Dead.
Dawn of the Dead. Both the original and remake.
    The Witch.
    Rosemary's Baby.
The Wicker Man. Both. For different reasons.
    Get Out.
    Ginger Snaps.
    Ju-On: The Grudge.
    Audition.
    The Evil Dead. Hilarious.
    The Hills have Eyes. Both.

I found the Stangers to be terrible and cheap. I haven't seen the second one yet but from what I've seen I assume its worse. IT remake was fine... It had some good things but the jump scares were dumb and obscenely loud for no reason.

    :|

  • Is this referencing something?

I'm not sure what to make of this.

  • Self Care is fine. Actually it is used a lot and some players still consider it to be the best perk in the game. I dunno why but they do.

I don't run it personally but it isn't because its weak.

  • Iron Maiden is fine. 60 second Exposure is way too much time for little effort. Currently it is fine as it gives the Killer information, and then if they are near by they can attempt an insta-down.

It sucks on Legion though. That's for sure.

  • Hate it as a Killer. Can't see scratch marks or hear anything. lol

Love it as a Survivor though. ;)

  • You mention Friday the 13th but ignore the issues the Baseball bat and, to a lesser extent, other melee weapons actual cause in that game once the counsel's lose their fear and fight Jason. Hell, I mained No Fear Jenny and Jason had to deal with me dropping his ass and jump scaring him around corners instead of the other way around if I had a Baseball Bat.

It was gross. We don't need this kind of thing in DBD.

  • The Sound and Scratch mark changes are making the Spirit basically unplayable for me right now. Its depressing. :(

Also: ######### are with those overused arrows in the thumbnail for the video.

  • I agree.

Survivors have been really bad recently, where every other game for me has at least one DC. I usually try for some BP but I'm not going to try very hard to win since the DCs always happen when the match starts so we don't even get the one Gen lead.

  • @BDS22 said:
I play on PS4 and the killers I encounter majority will face camp or just go for the same survivor till they're dead then repeat.

I also play on PS4 and play both Survivor and Killer. As Survivor I rarely ever encounter face camping Killers and when ever I do I love it because they waste more than 2 minutes on a single Survivor while I do Gens. As Killer I never camp unless all of the other Survivors are bumrushing the Hooks literally every time I turn my head. They are coming to me, I'm not going to go looking and give them free unhooks.

Tunneling is a legit strategy since removing the first Survivor has the largest impact on the game. Sure its annoying but better Survivor play makes it harder to tunnel down one player and its really on the whole team to stop this from happening to the best of their ability.

  • Because being a 115% base move speed Killer would make Legion have even less counterplay and be even more unfun to play against?

  • @Vietfox said:
Yeah, that's exactly why. Best way to avoid this is by manually removing all the other @s when replying. Just as i did now.
BTW, if you ever reply from cellphones note that they DO NOT send the notification by default, so you need to purposely @people every time you reply.

Yea I usually do that, I just forget sometimes due to laziness. I hadn't realized it did this notification crap until recently. But thanks I'll make sure to remove them all the time as to avoid confusion in the future. lol

  • Sole Survivor is literal trash by itself, your allies need to be killed for it to get any use and the more Survivors killed the higher chance that you won't survive (unless you are only ever going for the Hatch which makes you a bad team player.) How is this NOT a weakness?

DS can only be used once. Is this also somehow, not, a weakness?

OOO reveals your aura to the Killer and only works when you are looking at them, making it possible for you to be seen, which usually happens if the Killer is looking around. SWF already has a bunch of advantages, saying this is too strong solely because of SWF, and thus has no weakness, is silly.

  • Some one already made a thread about, basically, the same concept in the Survivor Subforum.

This is a bad idea in my opinion and agree with @Vietfox .

Here is the other thread: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/35680/make-wglf-award-tokens-for-completing-generators

I'm not sure why I got tagged in the reply unless it was by accident.

I never said you need those 3 to win as killer and in fact said you don't need Ruin and you're wasting a perk slot if you do. You also don't have to have Sloppy either or BBQ.

I know you didn't lol. The system is acting weird. I'm getting tagged left and right because I am in quote trees. Its weird. I think that is what happened here. As an example, DexyIV quoted you in "A Quality of Life Change for Deliverance" thread. I also received a notification about this since he was quoting your post that was a response to my post, in which you quoted. :(

Anyway @DarkGGhost said you need them though, and I was saying you don't. So You and I agree. Sorry for any confusion. lol

  • This is a joke right?

How is any of this a balanced idea?

  • @DarkGGhost said:
@powerbats i don't know about tinker but yes the other perk is good BUT if you want to play to win a killer need 1) ruin 2) bbq 3) maybe sloppy and this is the meta right now you only have 1 perk at best free and besides if the nurse or bill is better than you, they will still win even without perks.

    @Aven_Fallen like?

You don't NEED those three to "win" as a Killer. But ok.

  • @Poweas said:
Ok to be honest I think Huntress should be in Hags spot and Hag should be in Huntresses spot. I don't think Leatherface is weaker then Freddy but apart from that it's a good tier list.

    I agree with you. lol

Oh also, OP, I think you put the Doctor way to high on this list. Definitely not better than the Clown at the very least.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    @akbays35 said:
Well depends, if console or pc. On pc nurse is 1, on console she's on par with Pig.
Billy is solid top on both. Spirit is below billy on pc, she's below Legion on Console. Myers is below spirit on PC above Legion on Console. Hag is above Legion on both and arguably below/equal Myers. Huntress and Legion are below Myers/Hag. Clown is below Huntress and Legion. Leatherface, Trapper, Wraith are below Clown. Freddy is on par with Legion on console but at the bottom on pc. Doc and Pig are at same level for both.

Spirit is top tier on console too. She's definitely not below Legion.

Nurse is also still top tier on console, it's just harder to use her than on PC so not many players ever bother to learn her. I spent the time learning her and I find her very VERY powerful. The catch is that sometimes a game can have bad frame rate (happens for every killer actually) which especially hurts Nurse. But if you know what you are doing and the game isn't borked you will still dominate like on PC.

You guys are confusing frequency with strength. The tier list is consistent across platforms, but because killers like Nurse/Huntress suffer more from frame rate and are harder to learn, there are less GOOD players for these killers. Therefore all the good players gravitate towards killers that are easier to use. Freddy, Wraith, Trapper, Billy. Spirit is hard to use but not in the same way as Nurse/Huntress. They are mechanically difficult, where Spirit is tactically difficult. If you know how to mind game and track survivors, Spirit is as easy as other easy killers.

Like I see a ton of Myers on Xbox. But it's not because he is really good, more than there are a lot of Halloween fans that play him. And he's fun to play. He's no more viable against top tier survivors than he is on PC. Trust, I'm one of those survivors and Myers isn't that great. It's way harder to beat a good Nurse/Spirit/Huntress/Billy than Myers, but hardly anyone good plays Nurse/Huntress.

While I mostly agree I do have to argue that due to frame issues and lower sensitivity it does indeed affect Huntress' placement on the Tier. She may be the same on paper, but in practice, she doesn't work as well on Console.

So SB increases your ms by 2% as i stated in my post somewhere :D

I would 100% run it if it did. 2% isn't much but I love moving faster.

  • I wouldn't say that Legion is "fine" if he is this annoying and unfun to play against.

Legion is, at its core, a weak Killer who power contradicts itself. However, even though he is weak and has difficulty securing Kills he is incredibly unfun to face as a Survivor since there is little you can do to ensure you win or break the chase. Sure he wastes precious time getting you downed, but that is time everyone would rather spend doing something else.

Legion is designed to spread out and look for other Survivors, but they are most effective when they keep the chase going until their target is downed (or partial chase, by moonwalking) making Deep Wounds a completely useless effect and a timewaster for everyone.

  • I've only been blinded by two in all the games I've played since the event started as Killer. Maybe they are placing them incorrectly, maybe you are immune while lunging, I dunno but I seem to be good at avoiding them as a Killer. Or something.

Though I've never missed blinding a Killer with one when I play Survivor. Hmm.

  • How often does anyone even wiggle out of the Killer's grasp? Oh that's right, next to never.

Why make it even harder for Survivors to get out of a grasp? Hell, this would mean no one would even attempt to help you until you are hooked, which is bad.

I thought hypothetically adding this element to Iron grasp could Help alleviate the problem, because it fits with the perk; making escape from killer grasp NEARLY impossible.

And why would no one run it if it was buffed this way?

  • I think you are mistaken about something, or are just parroting what you heard from the Devs.

No one (well not a lot) of people are asking for Killers to be Nurse or "Spirit" level, they are asking for one's to not be blatantly weak or unfun.

However, I agree Killers ask for too many buffs all the time.

  • As @Onionthing has stated, this would cause certain Survivors to be considered "optimal" and will create more problems then it will solve.

I have heard multiple people talk about Survivors needing a "passive" ability, or something, but they don't really stop and think about what this means in the long run or how this will affect who YOU personally play as, or who your teammates will WANT you to play as.

Not only that but there is only 1 Killer. If they were all the same what would even be the point? Every game would be the same for everyone.

I already posted but I'm going to post again.

I literally cannot play Survivor now without Balanced Landing (or Urban Evasion). Sure, a few maps make it useless but most of the time I get great use out of it. When I don't have it I just feel like something is... off.

Pointless addition: Without Urban Evasion I basically want to kill myself because of how slow the crouch speed is.

    Balanced I agree.

If you understand line of sight then Urban becomes a wasted slot. Learn to walk and use something else. The only time I'll ever sorta wish I had Urban is against Hag. It's honestly a crutch for some players, and they never learn how to actually avoid the killer.

    Lol. Rude much?

I know how to walk, and I do it quite often in game. However, I like Urban and if its a wasted slot then I honestly don't care. I like it, and it's my choice if I use it or not. :p

    I gave it a 6.
It is an online multiplayer game so it automatically is inherently infected with toxicity. I've played many other online multiplayer games and, to be honest, DBD has its massively toxic players but all-in-all it's by far one of the better in that regard.
Just as quick examples of other games:
I'd give League of Legends a 9, maybe a 10, as it is easily one of the most toxic communities ever. SMITE is also pretty bad.
WOW is a 5. The community is tight and many are friendly but when it comes to joining groups you better be built exactly how they want you to be or GTFO.
I'd give FFXIV a 2, maybe even a 1, as it is by and large the best online community I've ever been a part of. Most everyone is nice and willing to help each other out.

I agree as these were similar reasons of how I rated DbD. Especially LoL where you can be stuck in a 30-60 min. match and 2-3 people are arguing in chat. Feels like a waste of time especially when players don't want to leave b/c they don't want to get timed out or lose rank. Not sure if it's different with today's LoL, but that's what I remembered in the past playing mostly for rank.

I haven't played in nearly 2 years (since Camille came out) but I assume it is the same if the LoL Forums are any indication.

I disagree greatly with your Console placements for Myers, Legion, Hag, Spirit and Clown.

Could you elaborate, would you find them higher or lower? I just compare them to other killers in what I see for matches.

Sorry. lol Didn't realize you responded to me.

@Poweas has a tier list very similar to mine for Console.

I definitely would not say the Legion is better than the Spirit or that the Hag is below Myers. Also I think the Clown is better than Legion and Huntress on console. The Huntress is kind of a joke, I've only ever encountered one that was competent at all and I still had little issue.

This is all mainly due to Stick sensitivity and FPS Lag. These things greatly affect how the Nurse, The Huntress play. Also The Pig. Those Frame drops when you Dash is hell.

Also about The Spirit: Currently I would list her as nearly unplayable because of the sound issues and scratch marks but I'm mainly talking about when things are working correctly.

  • @The_Crusader said:
. Also doesn't help that disconnecters lose 2 pips so green ranks end up with all the worst offenders and every game you get there has 2 disconnections in it.

I have noticed an annoying number of Disconnects trying to get through the Green ranks as Survivor.

Like, hell, every other game someone disconnects just as the game is starting and then someone disconnects less than 5 minutes later. Or someone disconnects the first time they are downed.

Also, I agree about the sound changes. I already have a hard time following grunts and gasps of Survivors without it being so... weird after the recent patch. I basically can't even play The Spirit now so I've rarely played Killer since the Winter Solstice event started. :|

  • @SmokePotion said:
That all would be bad enough. But the current belief among the playerbase, is that Solo survivor is dead.

    Is this a thing?

Hmm. I haven't really seen it.

I play Solo Survivor a lot, especially recently, and things seem to be going fine.

And I find the game to be playable, just a lot of annoying little things that can happen. And I rarely encounter anything that makes the game unplayable.

An example of an annoying bug I encountered: I was facing against a Wraith (my least fave Killer to go up against because I SUCK at spotting him and escaping him) and for some reason after he hit someone for the first time, activating Sloppy Butcher, there would be like a constant fountain of blood spouting out of the Survivor for the rest of the match. It made hiding impossible because he could see the blood shooting up from behind rocks or in the Corn, and from behind trees or under windows. Blood everywhere coming from all of us.

So yeah, made a situation I dislike even worse. Playable but barely. And annoying. Only happened once though.

I don't think 10% increase would really affect The Huntress that much, if at all. Maybe it might affect Leatherface, but you are already basically screwed if they were vaulting while using your chainsaw so I don't see how this would make a difference.

Doing a lunge is the problem, as buffing arguably his worst weakness is going to affect him at least some. Honestly I don't know how much 10% would affect window vaults, although I don't want it affecting the slow vaults in a chase as the killer caught you off guard and deserves a hit (I'm talking about Lithe affecting mindgames where a survivor would mess up and try vaulting).

I agree that it shouldn't affect slow vaulting. I don't use Leatherface a lot but I do face him a fair amount and I 100% know what you mean, but Leatherface needs help in multiple areas so I don't think this would make him any worse. You know, since he's already not good.

  • @powerbats said:
Yes, I've always thought the longer you're crouched and especially not moving you should recover more quickly. You should also have super heavy breathing just after running but as you recover it goes down to very quiet if being super stealthy.

    I like all of this.

  • I was one of the one's saying that the BT change would make it stronger, however I never said that more people would run it since BT is one of those perks that are good, but they take up a slot when everyone would rather run something more selfish.

Hell, this would make Small Game a more worthwhile perk, for some playstyles, if totems weren't so easy to find/didn't spawn next to Survivors and Gens.

People would still know spawn places, if they play long enough. So Small Game would still be pretty useless

Yeah true. I didn't even think about that.

Nah do it for all times. Also how would it hurt 110% movement speed killers? They lunge at the same speed and distance as normal killers.

Specifically Huntress and Leatherface. Yes, I know Leatherface isn't 110% movement speed, the problem though is that his biggest weakness is windows and buffing them only makes Jungle Gyms harder. As for Huntress, Hatchets would be much harder to hit if people could just croutch next to the window with a fast vault.

I don't think 10% increase would really affect The Huntress that much, if at all. Maybe it might affect Leatherface, but you are already basically screwed if they were vaulting while using your chainsaw so I don't see how this would make a difference.

  • Kate.

Voted for Nea since she's #2 for me.

  • Gaining stacks through doing Gens would be a bit... much tbh. Like, sure, a lot of people take it already (I don't since I suck eggs when it comes to unhooking survivors or protecting them) but your proposed change would make it be taken 100% of the time on all Survivors, effectively reducing the number perk slots to 3 (or in my case 1).

BBQ is taken on most all Killers but it isn't as mandatory as this change would make WGLF.

I wouldn't say she is "arguably" the strongest Killer, she is undoubtedly the strongest. You right though.

Also @OP: I have my own issues with playing Killer even if I like the basic premise and how some of them play but I would not say it is unfun. Just stressful for me for reasons. Only focusing on 4ks every game would ruin the game for anyone since the game is a lot more enjoyable when you don't hard focus something that may not happen for a multitude of reasons.

Well you're an exception then at least but on average there's something about hex totems even when they've been up for several minutes and the killer has gotten either hooks or sacrifices makes them instantly rage quit.

I sometimes run a Full Hex build on the Hag and I have never DC'd due to someone breaking my totems, quickly or not. Because it is the (huge) risk you run when using Hex perks.

However, I have experienced, too many times Killers DCing just because they think they are entitled to their Totems not being cleansed... or something. Hell, experiencing it once is too many.
