I say one survivor have the power to keep one killer for 5 gens and i make this post because pacth after pacth the gameplay of the killer don't changes for the better.

2 things are needed in order to loop a killer for 5 gens:
    A good survivor
    A brainless potato killer

    or lucky map RNG

Lucky Map RNG doesn't stop you from dropping the chase and looking for someone else/Gens to interrupt.

  • Kate.

I mean, they are supposed to be ugly sweaters and it is easily her best-looking top, it looks great and no where near what I would call an "ugly sweater". I looks great with the head and jeans from her recent "winter" outfit.

  • @SirMurphAlot said:
@GodDamn_Angela then dont complain about the offerings i referenced, no they arent you can still kill a survivor. Ok heres how the killer is more versatile 1: he is faster 2: has perks that can negate a survivors best defenses or offences 3: there powers can easily change the game if used right 4: add ons increase the effectiveness of there powers case and point michael myers spoons that allow him to see survivor auras while stalking. 5: Falls dont slow them down. Just to name a few

You have no idea what "Versatile" means do you?

  • @DarkGGhost said:
Even if that has true the killer perk and bloodlust are way to week and the counder of them are too strong make so a single survivor keep a killer for up to 5 gens.

    Tip: Break the chase.

    Right.

So the minority controls the majority? That is what you're saying.

Just because a few people can't adapt quickly doesn't meant he killer is trash. Id on't even use ruin dude...

    save it.

I feel like something just doesn't make sense here.

    One sec.

    The majority: Legion is weak

    The minority: Legion is fine/strong

    Hmm...

    You: Legion is fine/strong

Also You: " So the minority controls the majority? That is what you're saying."

    ???

Alright, I'm officially lost. Can someone help me here.

  • Yeah, it's dumb and incredibly difficult.

Could have made it "down survivors afflicted with Deep Wounds" but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo let's make it convoluted and much, MUCH more difficult by including the "be in Killer Instinct" clause. Not "in Frenzy" in, god damn, Killer Instinct.

  • @Arroz said:
It does not make sense to recover from exhaustion while you are standing, because equally you recover, you know what? better instead of arguing because they do not give ideas ?? that was my idea now gives yours ..? you are one of those killers who likes to buff their killer perk but not the survivor one

    hahahaha

I agree Quentin perks could use a buff since I think they, as a whole, suck the most out of any Survivor's, I just do not agree with the vigil buff.

    But thanks for the generalization.

  • This really depends.

I mean, nothing is telling you you have to save anyone but if you are doing nothing to further the game and are just letting your team die then... well I won't get into what I think of you.

However, if you are one of two survivors left, with one gen left to do and your teammate is hooked then you do NOT have to save them. It all depends on the situation and what kind of condition you are in. If you feel that you would die, or you would both die, if you attempted it, or if the Killer is camping then you shouldn't (in my opinion) go for the save.

It really comes down to what you decide to do, but, again, so long as you helped get the gens done then I see no issue in waiting for the hatch if you feel it is the best option.

This is my opinion though and I am super hyper-focused on my own survival a lot of the time, especially near the end of a match.

The Doctor is really rewarding at a higher level, although early level is freaking difficult and takes a lot of patience and timing to perform his Shock Therapy. Also, I do not want madness to be nerfed ,since it is not easy to play as "The Doctor" at a early start.

Oh, I bet. Its not like I think the Doc is hard to face against, I just find him incredibly annoying.

@GodDamn_Angela what offerings would you pick

    I wouldn't.

You won't be using "top-end" offerings every game. And other than that and BP offerings you are basically wasting your Offering whenever you use one as a Killer because they are 1:1 comparable to Survivors'. Which there are 4 of, mind you.

Other Mori Offerings are trash btw.

I would still like to know how a Killer is more versatile than a Survivor though.

  • @SirMurphAlot said:
Comparing there perks, powers and addons the killer is more versatile then a survivor.

    ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    Wat.

Also wow the bias. Let's compare the strongest Killer Offering (that completely changes the game dynamics) to a couple of the weakest survivor offerings.

    ...

  • Are you the player who went down almost immediately in the last game I played against the Legion?

Literally was confused about how it happened, and this was before I knew I was against the Legion. So, just imagine when I found out.

  • Please no. He could use buffs but please not Shock Therapy or anything to do with Madness.

Doctor is annoying enough as is if he had his Shock Therapy's base range increased I would rage every time I faced him.

  • If they are in a position to get the hatch to open then you should be slugging the second last survivor so you can get the last one, instead of killing the second to last and then having to do a hatch showdown.

  • I like this idea.

And they could just change Thrill of the Hunt to: You lose 1 token everytime a survivor cleanses a totem. This way you wouldn't lose one when you "destroy" one to have it respawn somewhere else.

    Ah. Yes.

    1. The Hag
    2. The Spirit
    3. The Clown

    Survivors:

    1. Kate

    3. Ace (I guess?)

  • Yeah, I mainly use the Hag and the Spirit when I play Killer, but when I decide to use the Clown (my other go-to) I still have to take a little time adjusting because I feel like I'm flying compared to the other two's normal movement.

  • Spirit Fury needs buffs?

    No. It doesn't.

  • @alivebydeadight said:
ahm, exactly what I told orion, "okay, legion is a killer that is strong against big groups of survivors, ruin is a powerful perk on legion so that will help, when you land a hit with legion and no other survivor is nearby, try to hit them again or go in front of them to block off there path to take them down, with legions ability to vault pallets you can apply great pressure inside of the chase, blood hound is another powerful perk with legion with the inability to see scratch marks when inside off feral frenzy, allowing you to track survivors inside of the feral frenzy easily, STBFL is amazing on them due to multi hit capability, 4 perk can be anything but bbq due to poor movement speed"

Alright let's just break this down just a little.

    1. Ruin is strong on every killer. So this is a moot point.
    2. Bodyblocking any half decent Survivor with Legion is next to impossible. No one is going to let you run past them, then stun in front of them, and then let you hit them. This is absurd.
    3. STBFL on Legion might be a good idea, mainly because they can't kill anyone so the Obsession will always be alive.
    4. More than 75% of the perks are basically useless on Legion, including any "exposed" perks. But yeah, sure, the 4th perk can be anything since nothing available will really help them out.
    5. BBQ could be taken for BP farm, but Legion rarely gets hooks so I agree it shouldn't be taken.

Even though they're a bad killer, the playstyle they have is kind of weird in that if you try and focus one person with frenzy you kind of [BAD WORD] yourself over. Tag as many people as possible with Frenzy while breaking chase. This lets the deep wounds bar go down so when you find them again it'll be easier

    Ehhhh... Not really.

When you break chase to go off after someone else your DW going down means nothing because it will, 95% of the time, be mended within 15 seconds. If you want to kill as Legion you need to Moonwalk tunnel someone with DW.

  • If the Killer is camping, do generators. Don;t try to save your teammate. This will ensure that the Killer is wasting their time. And if you are the one being camped and, especially if they are face camping, hold out as long as possible. Waste their time so your team can get things done.

Now, this doesn't always work, as their are Hook Vultures who will dive the hook for those sweet Altruism points and then just leave you to get tunneled down. Or they might sit around waiting for the killer to leave, wasting everyone's time because nothing is happening except everyone watching you die.

    Survivors this patch....

Don;t you mean killers this patch or just you and the vocal minority where everything is a killer nerf even if it isn't.

If you were depending on Nurses on Doc and Freddy you're playing them wrong horribly since there's way better perks.

No one worth their salt would heal effect within Doctors or Freddys Terror radius and if they did they were baiting or just bad.

Always funny when you say theres been a better way to play anyway. You cant twist it, it is a nerf to an already weak killer. There is no other way to put it.
oh and btw, I consider nurses calling on doc quite good

Always funny when you consider a killer weak just because you can't play them at Nurse level, you can't twist it that it's a nerf. When most ppl are snapping out of outside your terror radius because you know they know it's a healing effect.

Which means your NC is worthless or they know your back is turned to them while you chase someone else which again means your NC is worthless. Most doctors at high ranks never used it because they knew how easy it was to counter.

So because you consider it quite good that means it is, wasn't it you that said to someone else that they considered x perk quite good and you told them that was just their opinion.

Doc is kind of one of the weaker killers though.

Not only that but even if NC isn't good on Doc (I don't use him so I'm not sure) removing the interaction it had with Snap out of it is still a nerf to the Doctor. Not a huge one, but it is still a nerf.

  • A few times I have hidden behind a worked on Gen, had a Killer walk by, turn around, break it then walk off while I was right behind the Gen. Then I just go back to working on it when they leave.

He doesn't half the amount of hits to down someone, but double. XD

Actually, we see him more as a delayed insta down killer.

Survivors being able to stop the timer, and the timer not decreasing while in a chase kind of counters the idea of a "delated inst down Killer" so no one with any skill is going to be downed by DW.

Camping is already heavily discouraged by in-game mechanics and losing Chaser score. The only time Camping is a "legit strategy" is when the Killer KNOWS a survivor, or three, are nearby waiting to unhook. Otherwise they are just wasting time and giving the Survivors free rein to do Gens without any worries.

Also who are the Gens revealed to, the hooked player? Your perk idea is a little confusing and I feel it would be too annoying and unfair to implement something this extreme as a base mechanic.

I still get camped even with the change

I wasn't saying there are no campers. There will always be Campers.

I was only stating it is already discouraged and, in my opinion, we don't really need anything to discourage it further. Or, at least, not something this potent and unfair toward Killers trying to keep Hook Vultures at bay.

  • Camping is already heavily discouraged by in-game mechanics and losing Chaser score. • You'll see, eventually, that the Pig basically just stomps new players and is otherwise a below-average to weak Killer.

  • In your example you stayed longer than I would have. I would have dashed once I saw two go down because I would much rather head into another game instead of waiting around and MAYBE getting a save, or healing someone for a few more BP.

Also, it was obviously a trap and if they expected you to go in when they were stupid and got downed in the first place after the gates were opened then they really need to relax and check themselves.

  • @The_Crusader said:

Ok so I gave survivor one more try today to see if it was just a bad weekend. Tried to do your strat...

    • Start on autohaven, gas heaven.

    • Start near gen in shop so I work on it.

    • Kate runs in shortly after with Myers following her, he hears gen so comes after me

    • I decide to take one for the team and give the killer a tour of pallet town as you suggested

    • Do that for a little while successfully - 1 gen pops

    • Accidentally come across 2 Dwights on a gen

    • Myers pops tier 3 and somehow downs them both because even though one of them could have easily made it to killer shack in time it seems he didn't bother to run very far at all.

    • Kate disconnects

    • Unhook both Dwights but Myers is barely giving them a chance to get away before downing them again

    • Next few minutes is me cycling between trying to get another gen done to spawn the hatch and rescuing both Dwights

    • One Dwight dies. A second gen pops. Myers finds the other Dwight and slugs him.

    • That's right despite absolutely dominating the game, despite the fact that these Dwights are obviously novices, despite the fact that someone disconnected with only 1 gen done this sweaty piece of garbage decides he wants the 4k.

    • Hide from him while he lurks about. He eventually goes around a stack of cars so I go to pick Dwight up but myers sees me and chases me off. Dwight is in the middle of the map so Myers is trying to look around but also keep an eye on Dwight at the same time.

    • So I have to hide for 2 mins or however long it is until Dwight bleeds out and the hatch spawns. It takes all the willpower I have to not just disconnect and go play something more fun than the videogame equivalent of watching paint dry.

    • Dwight bleeds out. Myers stands around camping the hatch but eventually I manage to sneak to it and escape.

The state of solo survivor in 2018.

I hope the devs are reading this because that right there is a typical game for me. Not exagerrating that is genuinely how most games go. Survivors who go down two at once, survivors who disconnect, killers who get an easy game with disconnects yet slug to drag the game on longer anyway, sneaking around for the hatch while the killer camps it.

Yeah I'm done it's not for me. If anyone here enjoys this then more power to them I'm not trying to take away from that but it's really not for me anymore. I find no fun in it. I'm just going to stick to killer from now on unless things radically change or maybe I'll do survivor if friends are playing.

    Weird.

When I play Survivor I go Solo and things have been going pretty well for me.

Hell I was only sacrificed twice in my last ten games.

I'm a Rank 8 survivor and I only started playing like 2 months ago yet I can get through most of my games. And I spend my time splitting my games between Killer and Survivor so I don't really "main" either.

Sure some games you get really good Killers or you get really bad teammates but I haven't found it to be oppressive, at all, in anyway like you make it out to be. In all seriousness I find it WAY more stressful to be a Killer, especially if I go against a SWF team which is... often.

  • @The_Crusader said:

After reading through this thread I am still confused about something.

How, in anyway, are Survivors punished and hurt for not immediately unhooking?

If you are going for the unhook you better know what you are doing. Not only that, if you are all the way across the map DON'T go for the unhook.

You have time to finish a generator and then unhook someone. Not doing gens is your fault and is WORSE for you and your team then not camping the killer and hook. If the Killer is camping and/or tunneling that gives you, and the other survivors, way more leeway and freedom to rush Gens.

Also, if the Killer knows a survivor (or in your case ALL of them) are coming to unhook and are waiting for the Killer to leave then they are going to camp the hook because they aren't just going to GIVE you it.

tl;dr: If you are losing to Killers who are hard camping, you're bad.

Tl:dr please don't respond to the thread if you aren't going to read a single thing I wrote.

NOTHING you said applies here. I've alteady explained that all of those excuses you just typed clearly aren't the case here. You come across as just another camping killer running in to give your "git gud" excuse. It's really pathetic.

I don't camp because camping loses games.

I read everything in this thread. However you say nothing of substance. Why would I literally state that camping Killers are easy and give Survivors a ton of leeway and freedom if I did that?

The only one looking like they aren't reading anything here is you.

I suggest you calm down and actual look at things objectively instead of assuming everything you say is correct and everyone else is wrong or "x"(in this case a camper) so what they say doesn't matter.

i have to see it to determine if its op or not i still dont fully understand

BT will now apply Deep Wounds.

The mechanics of Deep Wounds are as follows (currently):

    1. When the Deep Wounds bar depletes you are knocked down.
    2. The Deep Wounds bar does not deplete while in a chase.
    3. Deep Wounds can be removed by "mending". This is not a heal action, can be performed on yourself, and it takes about 10 seconds to complete.
    4. The Deep Wounds bar does not deplete while Mending yourself or another Survivor.
    5. The mend progress bar is not lost if you cancel the action.

So, comparatively it is WAY better now for Survivors.
