What they do not understand, they cave to a group of individuals who are bad thus it isn't fun. Those baddies will struggle against everything that isn't legion with 115% with no power at all.
So in the end they will make killers skins just as survivors are. Than it is balanced, such fun, 0 variety and no skill required whatsoever.
My fiance said basically the same thing to me. If Behaviour keeps going the way they went with Legion, every Killer is just going to be an M1 killer in the end. They need to stop and realize that sometimes, just sometimes, people find it unfun to lose. And losing is half the game.

Its a sad state of affairs I can see the game heading to loosing a lot of interest in playing killer if this is how it's going to be.. The amount of dcs I see as a pig main is mind blowing she's not even strong tbh but I guess if you can't bully dc right?!
This game is heading towards a dark place I wish it wasn't true tho. Just wish people would try to learn counters try different perks rather than expect the meta to just work.
I still have hopes this game doesn't kill its self on knee jerk reactions.
I pray they have learnt from Legion praying for you rin ?❤️?
I can't understand players who DC. I just can't.
Also the Pig is one of the last Killer's I would DC against. She's so much fun to play againt.

After Doc and Spirit.
Freddy, unless they announce the Hillbilly changes. Then everyone will be clamoring to support or protest the changes.
Oh I didn't even think about that.
Hillybilly changes would create waves. Massive, angry, flailing waves.

I don't see any other killer being deemed "un-fun" as much as Spirit. The only two things I can think of that people will complain about are "hostage docs" (3-gen strat doc that builds towards and only focuses on defending those 3 gens, not downing survivors) and "forever freddy" (freddy with maximum slowdown addons and perks). Those aren't entire killers though.
I can see some people getting annoyed at the other strong killers (like Hag, Huntress, Nurse, and Billy), but I doubt we would have a community-wide outcry about anyone else.
We all thought the same thing during the Legion fiasco. The Spirit wasn't complained about as being unfun until the Legion changes came through and the dust settled.
You never really know what the community is going to do.

Lmao. +1

I’d say nurse. I already see a lot of post about her being unfun to play as.
I've seen some, but those have been around forever, she's basically immune to player-wide hate because of how difficult she is to use. Or is conceived to be.
@sorrowen said:
I wouldn't be surprised about Huntress being next on the "unfun" list but catering to casuals who aren't retained players seldom works out.
Yea. I honestly think she is one of the most balanced Killers but I know that the player base is volatile and you never know.

I believe the rulebook states tunneling is the act of chasing a survivor longer than they feel warranted.
Killer encounters a survivor and chases them.
Survivor: Woah woah woah! You've been chasing for 5 whole seconds?! That's TuNnElLiNg!!
-
@johnmwarner "I think too many survivors have a way different definition of tunnel than I do. Like you said, focusing on one person and purposely ignoring others is tunneling. Just going after the first person you see if they’re the only person isn’t tunneling."
I have the same definition. I don't like people using the term as a loose definition to define, basically, any form of downing/chasing/hooking in any amount of time against one Survivor.

I usually only have these errors when I’m playing survivor and looking for a game and it will say connecting on the bottom right and instead of going into a lobby it gives me like 3 errors back to back
This.
But its rare for me. Only happens about once a night.

In my experience (I mostly play in green and purple ranks though), a lot of people still heal against Legion. I guess they just don't want to be a one hit or they want to counter thanatophobia, I'm really not sure. But in these ranks I already got a lot of use out of Nurse's, even against swf groups. It kinda surprised me, but it works for me to find people healing behind walls and downing them easily, or using frenzy on them to get information where the other survivors are and make them all mend again.
It could become useless in higher ranks though, when people tend not to heal anymore. If I ever make it to red ranks as killer, I'd probably use another perk instead.
Ah. That does make sense. I forgot that you mentioned you were running Thanata as well. lol
Thanks for the concise explanation.
-
It depends on how "hard" you tunnel.
If you ignore every other Survivor except for a specific one, even when they are in your face or farm hook in front of you that's pretty scummy and makes the game unfun for the Survivor.
However, if you run into the unhooked survivor while running back to hook and you down them this is not scummy, you should NOT, EVER, just ignore a Survivor and let them go just because it might be seen as "tunneling". They ran the wrong way and got caught again, too bad for them. You can be kind and let them go but don't expect it to be taken as a kind gesture.
Not only that but the massive swing toward the Killer's favour after the first Survivor is killed is crazy.
@altruistic I don't think this is 100% true. A really good Survivor can run a Killer around for a long time. If the Killer continues to tunnel then Gens are going to get completed, sometimes 3 before they get downed (sometimes more), and it won't even be worth the time spent tunneling them.

Just curious, why do you run Nurse's?

I'll bargain with you. Get rid of the auras at the exits and make bloodwarden a cooldown perk.
Oh. I wasn't saying I thought it was a bad idea, just that people would HATE it being a cooldown perk and it would get messy around here once Killers started using it decently. Which I love because I think Bloodwarden should activate more than once aswell.
-

Bloodwarden should work more than once but with a 50/40/30 second cooldown.
This would get messy real fast.

"So are we just going to ignore the fact that this game has become so survivor sided that killers now being matched up almost exclusively with rank 1 & 2 survivors starting at rank 12 because the few killers that haven’t already quit or switched sides are struggling to get wins?"

Though I will admit that I switched sides, to Survivor, but this was MONTHS ago due to weird stress I get when I play Killer.

Wraith is weak. He needs buffs lol
I know. But I refuse to say that. If he got buffed I'd see him more and I don't want that because I am terrible at playing against him.
So, he's fine. ? Okay?
-
Don't... most people ask for weak perks to be buffed?
I can't even remember the last time I saw complaints about Adrenaline or Dead Hard and asking for them to get nerfed.
-
I keep losing my offerings because of this. Its so annoying I just have to laugh.
---Warning! Pointless story complaining about something similar below!---
Not as bad as this one match I had against a Killer who had TERRIBLE connection (or he was messing with it intentional [PS4].) And the other three Survivors DC'd because we could barely move half the time. I hid in a locker as soon as possible (I tried opening a chest and it was literally impossible) and waited after I was the last one left until he looked in teh shack and then left to go off somewhere else. I decided, in all the jumpy glory, to run and try to find the hatch. I was lucky to find it in the corn, though it took a few attempts for it to register I was there/hitting R1, and I got out. HOWEVER even though I got out and I was literally registered as "escaped" I lost my Yellow Toolbox + Green Add-ons.
I was unimpressed and hurt immediately after being ecstatic I got out of that match.
😑

So what I hear you saying is Wraith is the new Freddy? Better NERF HIM NOW!!! Lol
Honestly, I disliking facing both these Killers (I loathe the Wraith with an explainable and confusing amount of ire) and wouldn't mind them being nerfed. But that is just me being selfish and know Wraith is actually fine.
Freddy on PS4 feels like ACTUAL bs half the time though.
-
I'm pretty sure this is a known issue. I saw a post about this yesterday.
I'm also pretty sure they are looking in to it. You may want to post in the Bugs sub-forum if no one else has (I'm sure some one has).
-
Hello? Yes this is an asymmetric game where things aren't always going to go your way, especially when your three teammates are no longer there to help and assist you.
Imagine my shock reading about yet another player being upset that the deck is stacked against them when they are the only survivor left playing against the Killer. 😮
-
I hate screaming all the damn time.
I run Calm Spirit like 50% of the time just in case I get the Doctor, or another Killer that causes me to scream all the time, because I hate it so much lmao. I also like that I don't disturb crows while I am running around.
-
I am a Survivor Main and this thread made me chuckle.
I stopped playing Killer because I got stressed a lot and had weird anxiety when I did poorly. Survivor is, mostly, relaxed and I 100% don't care about these "nerfs" you've listed.

The Nun was also in Conjuring 1&2 really good movies. The prequel with the nun title was the only bad movie with the character
"Really good" is a bit strong. And neither of them were good/decent because of the Nun.
Also did it even kill anyone on screen before the trainwreck that was The Nun? ?
-
Why play differently than you already were though? Playing rewards you with BP, profile XP and Rift XP. Why would you only focus on one of them?
I'm really confused. Honestly. Just because the rift is here now doesn't mean you still don't have other rewards for playing.
-
"... leave no way of tracking ... grass, corn etc."
You do know that you can see these things move while she is invisible right?
Also I can't believe that people are still complaining about Killer's that are good at their job. She at least has to follow collision rules unlike The Nurse.
Also also its just really funny seeing all this when, like, 8 months ago people were still arguing that she was bottom tier.

As a killer main, I believe keys are fine, but ok, to have everyone happy, how about "keys open the hatch for the user and then it closes again"?
There is a Trophy/Achievement that would become impossible to earn if this happened. I already feel like it is near impossible to earn as is but that's besides the point.
PS: I also think Keys are fine and have enough counters.

If I did a gen near her then I would’ve gotten caught.
LMAO.
Its hilarious how you are making this out to all be The Spirit's fault, that somehow they were playing unfairly or poorly because they decided to not close hatch and camp it instead. They killed 3 of your teammates and since you 3 genned yourself you had a tantrum about how she isn't giving you the hatch or just closing it and you REFUSE to accept that you have put yourself in a terrible situation so instead you waste both your time and the Spirits and, more than likely, caused them to become frustrated and annoyed causing them to make a mistake and you get out.
You got rewarded for your perseverance, and for the Spirit being stubborn, but this was a "standoff" created because you refused to do gens because you "might have gotten caught". The Killer refused to close the hatch, but that isn't what created this standoff. What did was you getting upset and thinking that dying/getting caught while doing a gen, or running to the hatch, is somehow worse than spending 30 minutes where both of you are basically doing nothing.
I would never sit on Hatch, if I played Killer, but I also wouldn't spend this amount of time complaining about the Killer not closing Hatch. Is getting hooked/killed really that bad for some of you?
The Spirit got nothing out of sitting on the Hatch but this didn't stop you from earning BP. BP is the only thing that actually matters in the end, living gives you some but many of you (the Spirit especially) are really bad at realizing that getting a match over with is better than being stubborn and spending too long on getting the outcome you want. Work a gen, get BP and end the damn match instead of ... this. You'll earn BP and get into the next match more quickly to earn more BP.
@SunderMun This was, about, 50% the Killer's "fault". More it was the way the OP decided to react to The Spirit's decision that is at fault here. ?
-
@rd_dex 100% agree.
Its boring and annoying when people post threads asking for nerfs without providing support for their position and not coming up with an idea of how to go about it.
-
Alert is my favourite Perk. The amount of information it gives me, as a solo player, is insane. Also Small Game...
But I know they are not for everyone. lol
@Michael_Myers Pharmacy is better than Self Care. Any healing perk is better than Self Care now, after the heal changes. Honestly I can't understand why anyone would even run Self Care these days.
-
Teammates who stand around and do little, and crouchwalk the whole map without Urban Evasion, and avoid doing really anything until after the first gen pops. They will Self Care if they are injured, while standing in a far corner, unhook only AFTER the first stage ends, and let themselves die on the hook if it is their second time and/or the killer is facecamping. Ugh.
-
I don't play killer anymore. When I did I mainly played normally but would adjust my style depending on who I faced.
-
There's a reason I main survivor now. Its basically stress free and easy mode compared to playing killer
The most stressful thing is bad teammates, that throw the match, and the demigorgon's screams and terror radius music. Stuff is creepy and unnerving.
-
Lmao this thread.
Also, I thought this was supposed to be "general discussion" not "I'm going to complain about x and if you don't agree with me get lost because I don't want to have a discussion".

Survivors can't sustain that. Not even killers can sustain using the best add-ons and offerings every match, and killers get a ton more bloodpoints per match than survivors do.
Survivors not only get less bloodpoints per match on average, they also need to buy the item, the add-ons, and the offering -- 4 things compared to the killer's 3.
Get real.
Killers don't get "a ton" more Bloodpoints than survivors since the bloodpoint changes.
But ok.
-
"NOED definitely should be changed imo it rewards you for failing, unlike adrenaline which rewards you for succeeding, and gives undeserved kills."
@Mtom912 This is silly. Survivors have a bunch of Perks that reward them for failing. Not even that, but the hatch opening when 3 Survivors get killed is also a reward for failing.
Some of the perks:
Unbreakable: Lost the chase, downed. If the Killer doesn't pick you up you can save yourself.
Decisive Strike: Picked up after being downed after getting off the Hook? No thanks.
Deliverance: Pull yourself off the hook after unhooking another survivor.
All of these perks, including NOED, and even the Hatch have ways to deal with them. So the major issue isn't that NOED rewards killers for failing, its that most Survivors are too lazy to do Totems and they get punished for it.
-
OP doesn't understand how connecting to people/servers who aren't, relatively, nearby works.

Considering The Entity feeds of hope it's quite possible that Kate is benefiting The Entity than harming her.
Not only is Kate herself a massive banquet that The Entity could feed on for a long time but her constantly giving hope to the other survivors and bolstering their confidence and happiness basically makes more consistent meals for The Entity.
Less survivors get dried up when it comes to Hope and tossed into the void because Kate keeps giving them a hope boost.
Right.
I love Kate, she's bae, but while she thinks she is helping the Survivors get through it and that they will get out one day she is in turn actually helping to strengthen the Entity. She keeps the other Survivors going but this also keeps the Entity going. Its a loop that will never end because Kate will never give up hope and will never give up on the other Survivors.
This is assuming, of course, that Kate is doing these things. And from her backstory I think we can assume that she is.
As for who I think the main character is? I don't know. Some of the Survivors and Killers seem more Lore important than others but none really stick out as main characters. So I guess I'll go with the Entity.
-
Camping and tunneling are completely different. Camping is something done by bad Killers and if you lose to it as the noncamped survivors you are bad survivors.
Tunneling, however, is an effective and time efficient way to secure hooks/kills and to swing the match in your favor as a Killer. Its not always the best thing to do, depending on different circumstances and where you are and what is happening but no Killer should have to avoid downing/hooking someone that was just unhooked if its the smartest thing for them to do.
Are we seriously asking Killers to go easy, and to stop killing survivors, if said survivors are bad and/or getting stomped? Am I going crazy?
"C) neglect the 3 other survivors."
This is camping, not tunneling. Please stop pushing this false narrative. Tunneling is chasing/downing someone who was just unhooked. It is NOT staying by the hook, or ignoring what other survivors are doing. A Killer who is choosing to ignore other Survivors, and chases one specific one all game until they go down, including refusing to hit other survivors is essentially camping them all game. When most decent Killers refer to "tunneling" they are not refering directly to this behaviour, and if your team is bad then you will lose to this just like you lose to a Killler camping hook.

That is an idea....a good one in general. But, then you won't have a defense against him, minus windows and bait switching. Or do you employ another method?
I was only giving a
jokereal strategy on how to deal with his pallets. You want to survive against him? Don't look at me I've died in every match I've had against New Freddy so far. Usually first. -
The Kate skin/outfit coming out in, like, a month is going to be my new favourite skin.
Currently? I like putting the climber jeans Kate has with her ugly sweater. Painter Jane is great too. Also Spring Festival Feng is 10/10.
I don't really play any other survivors so...
I feel bad if you main Meg if you are looking for a good skin/outfit tbh.
-
If you place them near windows I'm pretty sure when they run over them they will slow the survivor enough so they can't quick vault.
Other than that I'd say place them in looping spots and places Survivor travel though a lot.
-
Hag and Spirit.
I rarely play Killer though. Its too stressful and most of the time I find it unfun. lol

I wasn’t even a Freddy main,l but I wish they would have used these abilities on a new killer and left him alone.
There's like, what, 10 people who didn't want Freddy reworked while basically everyone else did? He was unfun to play against as a survivor and frustrating to play as for most killers.
-
Slam all the pallets you encounter while out of a chase and then ignore any you aren't sure are real when in a chase. This way his Dream Pallet add-on is useless. :^)
