If the devs wanted to fix it, they'd institute a zero tolerance policy for toxic behavior (and no, tunneling/camping/insta-heals/whatever aren't toxic; they're part of the game) and ban them. Even if they were just temporary bans, they'd soon get the message and either leave the game (if they were just playing to be #########) or stop being #########. It's the only way those people will learn.

It really is stupid that they require such discipline in order to learn not to be toxic. Did school not teach them? O.o

Toxic people do it precisely because they know that real people are behind the other screens.

Bad people making bad decisions. I hope they will not cause the fall of Dead by Daylight, since most of the Steam reviews I have seen are angered by the toxicity in the game.

  • If toxic survivors actually do learn that real people are on the other screens, will they still play disgustingly?

  • And you left them to gen rush you if you camp. Of course you are going to get survivor's counter attack for torturing them for no apparent reason.

  • You camp? You do know that you are ruining other people's game experiences camping, as they can't do anything else if they are trapped being camped? They don't get points, and you rightfully don't get even close to the number of points you can get. Camping is disgusting, the survivors were right to gen rush you. No ones likes camping, try to actually play and practice the game, and maybe you will get rank and points :D

But seriously, that person didn't do anything to you, so you are just torturing them for no reason.

  • If only we had more people like you and confirming they realize their mistakes ^^

  • Wraith! You Fool! With my Stand, [Balanced Landing], I will be able to loop you all over Haddonfield and Coal Tower infinitely as you get gen rushed!!!

DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC! DC! DC!!!!!!

  • Glad you are attempting to change Legion, but some of this sounds like old Legion.

And I want my blood pools back >:(

And most of these sounds like nerfs.

  • @ASAPTurtle said:

No. Not every killer needs to be Hillbilly tier. And these changes sound absurd. I find getting a 4K with a low tier killer satisfying and that's how I want it to be.

Not only that but killer would boring if they were strong like that.

? Killers would be more fun if all of them are equal to Spirit and Hillybilly level, because they are boring in high ranks as they can be gen rushed and be done with it.

  • How is this argumental thread still going?!

  • @TRB124 said:

Kindred: When a survivor is on the hook all other survivors auras are revealed to you. If the killer is within 8/12/16m of hook their aura is revealed to you.

Reason: You don’t benefit much from Kindred, only your team mates tend to benefit from it. This change allows you to take advantage of Kindred without having to be hooked. When you are hooked the standard effect applies.

Dying Light: You become obsessed with one survivor.

Your obsession’s altruistic action speed is increased by 38/44/50%

When the obsession is injured all other survivors gets a penalty of 5/7/9% to repair, healing and sabotage speed.

When the obsession is in the dying state all other survivors gets a penalty of 9/12/15% to repair, healing and sabotage speed.

When the obsession is hooked all other survivors gets a penalty of 15/22/29% to repair, healing and sabotage speed for 40/50/60 seconds.

When the obsession is sacrificed or killed then all other survivors get a penalty of 15/22/29% to repair, healing and sabotage speed for 40/50/60 seconds.

Reason: This change discourages the killer from tunnelling the obsession to death. The killer would need to play smart in order to get full use out of the perk. Killing the obsession off early would leave the killer with 3 perk slots, assuming survivors aren’t using DS.

This change also allows Dying light to be combined with Furtive chase to become extremely effective.

Hope: As soon as the exit gates are powered, you gain a 5/6/7% haste effect for the rest of the trial.

Reason: Now that the EGC has been implemented there is no reason to have the 120s timer on Hope. If survivors abuse the haste effect then the killer can just open the doors to force them to exit within 2 minutes.

We’re gonna live forever: You gain a token for healing others to the equivalent of one health state. (As well as protection hits and safe unhooks)

Reason: Makes gaining stacks a lot easier. The perk offers no other benefit other than extra BP so it makes sense to make stacks easier to gain. Most games you’ll find that getting 4 stacks will pretty much get you killed.

Wait, does Kindred still show the killer's aura to other survivors?

  • Okay, but we still need corn.

Just use Predator, Bloodhound, and Sloppy Butcher to track down corn people :D

After that I rarely get problems in the corn.

  • I only get salty over when I am left to die on first hook (even with kindred) or killer spares the last survivor who literally did nothing the whole match.

Let's not go into insidious camping territory. Even I don't like doing that basement build and I play a lot of killer.

But then again is just me because I like getting momentum when I hook someone. Camping is just super boring and is certainly not fun for the survivor either.

Yeah, camping sucks. :( Also tunneling.

Gen rushing sucks as killer too. If these three things could be fix, we could have a less salty community and every can be happier.

  • Hold up, I just realized this was a necroed thread. Yikes.

  • I am scared, why does the first post have so much upvotes? Do people really want such a good killer to be nerfed? I find Billy tenseful, but he is very balanced. Loopable, chainsaws can be dodged, and his power is simple and powerful.

Like I said in every thread demanding to unnecessarily nerf killers, the game will become boring with weaker killers.

I wasn't sure exactly how to balance the offerings to be worthwhile for both sides, so I threw something out there that wasn't all that great. I've amended what I would like to see the offerings modify and have included them below (along with the mist offerings).

To your point about stacking, Moonlight offerings and Dark Mist offerings stack only in certain ways. Even now, if 4 survivors bring in a Murky Reagent, it will only be as thick as 1 Murky Reagent. The same was true if 4 Survivors Brought in New Moon Bouquets; the result would be the darkness of 1 New Moon Bouquet regardless of whatever other moonlight offerings were burned.

The power granted by the offerings can only be as strong as the most powerful of the offerings and no more.

    Suggested Modified Offerings:

    Crescent

    -         Slightly Darker Scratch Marks and shorter duration

    -         Slightly Less Visible Blood

    -         Aura reading range decreased by 15%

    -         Survivor FOV is decreased by 5 degrees

    Quarter

    -         Slightly Brighter Scratch Marks and longer duration

    -         Slightly Brighter Blood

    -         Aura reading range increased by 15%

    -         Survivor FOV is increased by 5 degrees

    Full

    -         Moderately Brighter Scratch Marks and longer duration

    -          Moderately Brighter Blood

    -         Aura reading range increased by 30%

    -         Survivor FOV is increased by 10 degrees

    New

    -         Considerably Darker Scratch Marks and shorter duration

    -         Slightly Less Visible Blood

    -         Aura reading range decreased by 45%

    -         Survivor FOV is decreased by 15 degrees

    Clear Reagent

    -         Slightly lessens the dark mist

    -         Slightly increases the volume and range at which all sounds can be heard

    Faint Reagent

    -         Slightly thickens the dark mist

    -         Slightly decreases the volume and range at which all sounds can be heard

    Hazy Reagent

    -         Moderately thickens the dark mist

    -         Moderately decreases the volume and range at which all sounds can be heard

    Murky Reagent

    -         Considerably thickens the dark mist

    -         Considerably decreases the volume and range at which all sounds can be heard

    I stand by this! :D

He smiles even when hurt or hooked. His smugness scares me actually. What's he got up his sleeve? Is he even wearing sleeves? Hmmmm...I don't trust him.

He is a positive guy, so he is a cool guy. What is wrong with that? It's not like he can do much in the Entity's realm anyway.

  • @May_Be_AFK said:

This is the type of stuff that makes people hate Jake. He can't even sabo properly anymore. Or the reason Dwight can't go near a locker without being made fun of.

Or why Baby Tums can't stand still for two seconds without being called an insidious camper.

    #AllSurvivorsMatter2019

    Except Ace, that smug bastard.

? Aces are usually chill, and we don't make fun of Dwights, we adore them. And Jake's are usually great players in high ranks.

  • @GrootDude said:

    No

You don't want to face Spirits with this, right?

  • Yes I would, but atm, I run Haunted grounds, Thrill of the hunt, Discordance, and Sloppy Butcher. Decent build, I prefer spirit fury and enduring. Also, I really want stridor.

  • Though Samination for some reason likes new Legion. I still hate almost all of the changes to Legion >:(

    Strawberry.

Chocolate isn't a good ice cream flavor, and vanilla is to bland and boring. Strawberry is perfect.

Strawberry will always be the best *-*

  • I even called myself "Not a Toxic Nea" as my steam name, and still get t-bagged by Ghostface and called "Like flies flying on poop." (He was mad at us flashlight saving and body blocking, I died though)

All I have is Urban Evasion, Balanced Landing, Spine chill, and Kindred, definitely a toxic build.

  • It is so useful, I now play most survivor games without it. Counters basically any killer but Myers, and helps both stealth and runner players equally. It helps counter Nurses and spirits, helps you know when the killer is trying to mindgame, and also gives you a boost in action speed, allowing you to crutch finish generator repairs and even opening exit gates. It also let's you know if killer spawns next to you (like I have alot) and know who the killer is going for. Also helps you know when killer gives up on you to get to objectives faster.

  • So which characters are the least toxic? I find Kate to be the rarest at Toxicity.

But for most of my games, every character is chill, Dwights and Jeff's always seem to he the most pros. And Jakes.

  • @GrootDude said:

I suddenly feel like I’m the only not immersed Claudette out there.

Hey, we can be twins and prove not all Claudettes mains are bad! :D

    (I play healer Claudette)

  • Camping killers really have no heart. They only care for having fun for themselves and not others. There is no way to get a safe pip being camped, and face it, even with gen rushing, the hooked survivor will get the consequences thanks to the camper.

  • @ArrowTheGreat11 said:

It’s crazy how people can tell how certain players will play based on the characters they run.

it seems like all Claudettes just play immersive and don’t contribute whatsoever

    Nea are completely toxic

Feng Mins are the best players in the game

Dwights are always running around clueless

Davids are the hero we all need

Depends on ranks tbh. What I see in my eyes:

    Dwight-

Baby Dwights, hide in lockers, barely does anything but cute.

Decent Dwights(me)- usually runs his 3 teachables, decent in chases.

Evolved Dwights, actually good at chases, has helpful perks like Prove Thyself, Borrowed Time, etc (E.g. Puppers)

    Meg-

Baby Meg- The second they hear a terror radius they yeet out from the generator and throw down every pallet they see immediately.

Meghead(me)- runs full on running perks but can actually be efficient sometimes

Toxic Megs- Flashlights, t-bags, generally the quickest to DC. Will body block

    Claudette-

Baby Claudette: usually nice and actually efficient and lucky, survives long.

Efficient Claudettes: when Claudettes are using strategic builds or meta builds but are actually good players (e.g. Painreliever) can be stealth based

Healer Claudettes(me)- straights up have healing perks only and very useful, generally more stealth based.

Toxic P3 Claudettes- what literally no one likes. Tbags, flashlights, farming, urban evasion, you name it. (E.g. when Ochido was at max toxicity before he calmed down) spams self care also. Will body block.

    Jake-

Baby Jakes- cute, often times can be seen sabotaging a hook, you will end up slugging them a lot.

Normal Jake(me)- all of them are actually decent and usually chill meme people and smart

Legacy Jake- the ultimate Jakes, they can fill any role and play all types of builds and still get good games. (E.g. Monto)

    Nea-

Baby Nea- usually decent for a new player, spams Urban Evasion.

Solo Nea(me)- usually plays solo and runs helpful perks. Still has urban evasion and focuses on rescues and gens equally. Decent in chases.

Toxic Nea- usually spams flashlights and self care. (Used to be No0b3)

Ultimate Nea- efficient in flashlight saves and chases, can play really well and get epic plays. Sucks at gens though (No0b3 now)

    Laurie-

Normal Laurie- will have DS, usually are good players

Toxic Laurie- has Object of Obession and DS, will tbag and body block.

(You are either one of these two, Laurie mains)

    Bill-

Chill Bill- will have borrowed time, efficient and good, more likely to attract full team Bills.

Weird Bills- they are either trolls or something, they will do stupid or annoying stuff. They can be toxic cocky players but can be destroyed.

    Epic Bills. They are epic.

    Ace-

Normal Ace(me soon)- very lucky, likely to accidently find glitches.

Efficient Ace- like normal Ace but has meta perks

Salty Ace- any Ace with special cosmetics and soaps post game chat salt.

    Feng Min-

Normal Feng(me)- actually decent in everything.

Unusual Feng Min. They will have special cosmetics that makes them look toxic, but they are actually not.

    David-

Baby David- usually okay players, can be killed easily. Will have dead Hard.

Normal David- efficient in everything, will have dead hard. They have a higher chance of being spicy though.

Toxic David- cocky and will have flashlights and shirtless on. They can be destroyed though.

    Quentin-

Boring Quentin- they are rare, but they are usually chill players

Stupid Quentin- they think they can he toxic then get destroyed.

    Tapp-

Just Tapp. They are very rare. They usually come from the shadows and are actually good players

    Kate-

Normal Kate- very nice and will save you, decent chases.

Good Kate- great at chases and will have unusual builds. (E.g. Trut3lent) Will prioritize smart desicions best.

Toxic Kates- rare but can be destroyed.

    Adam-

-normal Adam, will save you just for Autodidact and deliverance. They can rarely be decent

-not normal Adam. Good at chases. Above applies.

    Jeff-

Normal Jeff- good people, more altruistic. Very loud though. Will have aftercare.

Emo Jeff(or cool Jeffs)- either will be toxic or actually one of the best teammates you can get. Will bodyblock to save you and sacrifice himself for you.

    Jane-

Big Booty Jane- very good postures, actually can be decent. Will have Head on. Will also heal you a lot.

    Ash-

Normal Ash- decent teammate, can be good chasers and savers

Cocky Ash- more active play, but they can be destroyed by mistakes they make. But are good players.

  • @not_Queen said:

Pallet reversal. Gimmie back pls. 😔

    The pallet vacuum? O.o

  • Could he preparing for resources of the next killer update.

  • And with ace in a hole, prepare for Instaheals! This is a high impact perk tbh.

  • So many people with self care =.=

Survivor: Alert, so underrated mid game life saver.

Spine Chill: so underrated, it helps both stealth and runner players equally. Too many uses for me to describe.

Adrenaline: has helped me escape endgames quickly whenever killer closes hatch and I crawled to an exit gate.

Prove thyself: i just find it satisfying to actually do the objective so quickly.

    Killer:

Discordance, perfect for me as I can stomp out gen rushers.

Nurse's calling, helps me snipe survivors with Wraith, Nurse, etc. (I don't have it on Wraith yet though)

All of Wraith perks. Counters corn and Claudettes.

Not too big of killer yet, so I dont have too many perks yet :/

  • So am I hated for playing as an actual Healer Claudette? (We'll Make It, Botany Knowledge, Empathy, Spine Chill)

In its current state, its one of the very few incentives to cleanse. So, if they were to change that now, no.

Wish I had more teammates whenever I solo survive that knew to not cleanse though =.=

  • Any cooldown on chainsaw bros would be stupid and unnecessary tbh. They have all the time to prepare before trial lorewise, so yeah. Huntress has limited Hatchets because you can't carry so many.

Want to able to kill survivors quickly? Well, you are lucky, we just released a new item called memento moris that can kill survivors after being hooked once, only for $30!

But really, we better stop before either one of the mods jail us for derailing the thread too much.

    True :P

But is it really that easy to fix a code and break 10 with it? Since I have been encountering the exit gate bug far too often now?
