    Heck yes.

Sure, against highly skilled survivors Wraith has doodoo chase mechanics and weak power, but against most people, he’s solid.

Take those same skilled survivors against Plague and she also has doodoo M1 mechanics plus NO power because good survivors don’t cleanse.

Maybe in your universe yes, but in this one. Not in a million Years. He's dog poop.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

@DoomOrb I didn't say that Wraith didn't "suck". All the killers except for the Top 4 do when you are facing good teams. However, he is better than the majority of the other M1 killers. Increased mobility is an important part of what makes a killer decent.

Not enough to make him higher

  • @TeaLeaf said:

Really his speed just needs tweaking, the chain saws 1 hit is a very powerful tool but the resource cost to use it is just too high atm.

    I didn't beat any horse.

SWF isn't Trapper's only weakness, I already told you why he is so bad, so I am not gonna start again.

But that's only what Clown does, he shortens loops and nothing else. No map pressure, no mobility, no stall, no stealth, literally nothing, just a weak chase power that makes survivors drop pallets slightly quicker. Any other killer has a power that helps him in other aspects than chases, Clown simply doesn't have. And again, Clown's chase power even isn't too good. He is incredibly laughable, especially without add-ons, without add-ons his gas is worthless.

Shortening loops is generally a good thing, the shorter the loop the more likely you can get a hit. But clearly you don't see that. Neither do you see Trapper's potential. If I had any common sense I would put Trapper Higher, but I didn't because I also viewed his weaknesses.

We're done with this conversation. Any more discussions made by you will be ignored.

  • @Steve0333 said:

Does this list include no add ons? Clown is a very weak killer but if you have the add on that causes the exposed status effect he can down people fast. Myers is also weak but with the infinite tier 3 addon he becomes a lot stronger, way stronger than ghost face imo. A nurse with no addons isn't as strong as spirit without addons imo. It's not that hard to juke a nurse with only one or two blinks. But a five blink nurse... yeah good luck with that.

Also, do you really want to talk about Nurse vs Spirit? Because you're about to enter a discussion against literally the Best killer in DBD since released.

Nurse's power purely breaks the game. There are no safe havens against Nurse, as windows and pallets don't even exist to her. She is just this momentum killer that downs survivors left and right.

Spirit has a lot of mindgame (which is why I'm trying to master her personally) and her phase walk can be a surprise, and while there are counter measures, there is also counter measures in those counter measures. Spirit is like this killer you can infinetly get good at the more you play. However compared to Nurse, Nurse just ends the chase a lot faster.

If we assume that the Spirit and the Nurse are in an equal level of skill. Nurse would still be faster in the chase and better than the Spirit.

  • @Might_Oakk said:

Also breaking a pallet with his saw shouldn't stop him. shOUld just keep goin

Yeah, Umbra which is like the best Huntress player - has said that Hag is better than Huntress. She can cope with maps better, smaller height allows for more mind games, has better map prescence, can snowball harder, etc.

They changed places already. Leave the chapel horse alone as is in danger of dying.

    @Marcus said:

    Ok, so here we go.

Trapper has the most amount of counter play in the game, he is the most add-on reliant killer and probably the weakest killer against a SWF team. He wastes around 1-3 gens to set traps that most likely won't do anything, which can be easily disarmed and they are also countered by Toolboxes, Dead Hard and walking around ( his trap hitboxes are ######### sometimes ) and on top of that, his traps are still RNG, you are not a guarantee down with them unless you are already on top of the survivor.

Clown is a M1 killer with a weak chase power and without mobility, map pressure, stall or stealth, he is very add-on reliant ( Flask of Bleach should be in his base kit ), his power has a very easy counter ( drop pallets earlier ) and he is very buggy ( bottles exploding in his hands, slow down ater throwing his bottles ).

Trapper is a strategy killer. His potential can be strong if The Trapper plays like a mastermind. Sue he is beaten by swf but the same can be said to a lot of the killers, especially Hag and Hag is 4th ranking on this list.

Does it make them less viable? In a way but it never stops their potential. Trapper does have potential if you play him well enough. Trapper can be strong if you use him the right way.

As for clown, the buggs are more of the devs fault so I won't even consider this as a valid argument to drop Clown off the tier, and as for his power, his power is to make sure loops are lessened. He forces people to shorten loops getting pallets down early and window loops are lessened greatly because of him, he usually gets a hit off from Window loops. He's overall a decent killer in the chase.

I still see no reason why you keep beating up a dead horse.

    @NoShinyPony said:

Wraith belongs in the middle. His increased speed while being cloaked gives him some map control and makes him better than other M1 killers like Doc, Trapper or Pig. Also (like Pig) he has a built-in Borrowed Time counter.

A bit of map presence doesn't make a killer good. What he does have is a bit more mindgame, but that's about it. Maybe bodyblocking with add ons, but add ons aren't considered in this discussion. Wraith sucks and that isn't going to change until they give him some love.

  • @Well_Placed_HexTotem said:

    You mean Leatherface or Legion?

  • @Decarcassor said:

Also, Amanda is very underrated. She has so much in her kit. On demand stealth with no cooldown, a dash attack that can make some short loops unsafe, and a whole mini game to waste the survivors time.

The effectiveness of the RBT is random, but as long as survivors don't find the key in the first box, you can feel the difference they make. And once in a while you'll get a head pop, wich ironicaly can be bad for your score, since it can make you miss some hooks.

Amanda mostly suffer from very underwhelming, to useless add-ons, but as far as base M1 killers go, she probably is the best of them.

She's not good enough for me to put her higher than what she is now.

I play rank 1 hag every reset and can see your point but im assuming you dont play her constantly like i got her to p3 all perks and ran out of green addons with 40 yellow remaining. when you know what your doing swf's constant trap activation hurts them when you start letting them do there thing and go after the people who are hurt and healing. i use NC and M&A so i often end up killing a survivor early when i face a team like this when usually id just ignore the unhooked but try hards are met with try hard gameplay.

edit: also teams like this are rare so its not to much of a problem when you just need to change your gameplay.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

Id say hag is better than huntress simply because her traps are good even on bad maps for her like farm. huntress when faced with a difficult map for her will struggle unlike hag who can just place traps at pallets if there is no better areas and call it a day. hag also has better map pressure due to being able to tp from afar and sneak up to survivors with her small terror radius if you use M&A which you should. also that whole thing about hag being able to have her traps dealt with by teams is a not a problem due to her setting speed and the survivors wasting their time and possibly getting hit if they get greedy. huntress is simply a good chase killer but thats kinda it and hag can do way better in terms of chases and map pressure.

Hag is stronger than Huntress, but the 1 reason why I put her lower than Huntress is because of 1 simple thing. swf. Back when I was a rank 4 Hag swf woulD deactivate my traps and go to loops that were no traps and yes I was setting traps but someone always had to deactivate them. I felt so powerless . huntress is hurt by maps and you can learn to deal with them and even keep your threat in the chase. hag- as much as I used to love her, swf don't even give her a chase to down anyone, at least Huntress can down swf

  • @Neonova said:

Rank 1 LF main here. He does not need a buff. He is great at locating, and downing. The only buffs I would do are. Chil/AWC Increase movement speed by 5% decrease Chainsaw charge slow by 25/50% and than reduce his bump penalty from 5 seconds to the amount of time left in the charge. As you swing for I believe 5 seconds meaning hitting right away will cause you to suffer the full 5

Your thoughtful buffs has been valued greatly. Thank yoU foR your time.

  • @Decarcassor said:

I really can't understand why some players have such a high opinion of Ghostface. His power is so easily broken off that he spend most of the games as a basic M1 killer than can shut down his TR from time to time.

Assuming survivor don't see you coming from miles away because they have the better camera or are using any detection perk, his normal stalking speed is atrocious. He need to lean to stalk anything, but the leaning mechanic is very clunky and don't seem to work on some objects. And your target can just be in some dead angle that make it impossibe to stalk. If you try to move around you will likely been seen/heard or waste too much time.

The most reliable way to use Ghostface seems to be as a worse version of Myers, micro stalking what you can on an individual survivor basis before they break your shroud.

This end my Ghostface rant. Thank you.

I'll be honest, never played Ghostface. His rank is purely OUt of what I've seen and faced against.

    @DoomOrb

You've got clown ahead of Myers.. Am I missing something? Myers is a walking 4k

Clown is more consistant than Myers. Better chase and his add ons make him stronger applying hinder, exhausted and even expose. Myers has limited expose effect that can run out and sure he can have longer or faster tier 3. Against good survivors iS almost like facing plague without cleansing. Sure he vaults faster and has a bigger lunge attack, it really doesn't matter by all that much. Just Image everyone injured as tier 2 Myers you won't know the difference . Sure There is more to Myers than his tier 2-3 but his tier 1 with scratch mirror is only good in 2 maps at best. Myers Is just too situational while Clown is more consistant .

  • @Mtom912 said:

I’d put wraith higher, although not a lot he can have map pressure with his cloak to patrol gens, and get a easier first hit, also if you have the right add ons and do it right you can bodyblock inifinites and end chases quicker, although he does rely on his perks

While Wraith has more map presence , Legion (who's above him on my list) Legion has a more guaranteed 1st hit while slowing the game down and has a decent map presence and tracking. Wraith has Mindgame on certain loops and with certain add ons bodyblock, but that's it. SURe other add ons give him tracking but is not great except for the red one.

  • @derperson said:

I think that due to him being a licensed killer, he has to resemble the killer from the movie... aaand if you've seen the movie, you know that his current design in game matches his character in the movie.

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲ ▼

His first few kills playout just like insidious basement camping; later he kills franklin by jumping out from nowhere, then he chases sally forever, trailing off as she dives into a convenience store. I think the devs capitalized on that, but ultimately, I think leatherface was leading her there. Anyways, she's chased by him again later, and he bumps into something and instead of running around what's in his way, he just attacks what he bumped into, it's kinda funny - the movie illustrates weird behavior really well. But, sally ends up getting away by jumping into the back of a car, and leatherface shamelessly, knowing he won't catch her, chases the car swinging his chainsaw.

Speeding him up during chainsaw sweeps works, but to add some map pressure, maybe they could make his chainsaw sweep last longer. Either base it off of a power bar like the legion has, or make it so he stays in his sweeping animation until it's cancelled, or bumps into something. It can be balanced by increasing/decreasing sensitivity of turns the longer he spends in his sweeping animation. When his power ends, depending on how long he was in his sweep, he has a cooldown period where he can't use his chainsaw, or has a long tantrum

Make his perks increase the acceleration of the sweep, or modify what the chainsaw can go through - it's a heavy chainsaw so maybe a pink addon could allow him to destroy pallets without being interrupted. The increased or decreased turning sensitivity will ultimately force him to stop so he can't abuse it too much.

They could also give his chainsaw latent effects like, when a survivor is being chased by bubba and he's revving his chainsaw, they randomly receive skill checks, and if they're missed the survivor is hindered briefly, or they're forced into first person view.

Yeah no kidding. Freddy's rework took a very long time

  • @se05239 said:

Are you sure about that? Last time the developers shared data on killer lethality. The Clown and Legion (before his rework) was the least lethal killers.

There is a link up there to send you to my tier list discussion. Go there if you want to talk aBOUT who is weaker.

  • @Bravo0413 said:

Imo a decent way to buff/rework him is to give him the option to 1 or 2 hand his chainsaw.... 1 handed does 1 quick slash that takes slightly less time to charge then 2 handed but has a longer miss cooldown....and 2 handed does the charge we know today.... numbers need tweaking ofcourse

Not a bad idea. WoulD make pallet eater more threathening

  • @GrootDude said:

Or you ignore them, and risk being NoED'd.

It's not unfair, broken, or OP. This is literally WHY totems spawn even if the Killer does not run ANY Hex perks; So you always wonder if he has a late-game hex/a hex not readily apparent (like Huntress Lullaby).

8-10 minutes enough for experienced killer to win. i already said if killer don't know what he doing it easy to cleanse 5 totems, in your example killer tunnel vision on your friend, who good at looping, but good killer just will not take such an obvious bait, he just rotate for somebody else, he disrespect pallets so at 5 minutes there no many pallets left and survivors screwed cuz you waste time on totems. your excuses, examples how you easy cleanse all totems contains one big problem - you playing vs boostedlord killer, but you always assume that survivors are optimal genrushers(5 minutes games), this is no good for compare

You know what I'm reading from you? Excuses, excuses and excuses.

Little man may I remind you that NOED is more commonly seen in the Low Mid-High Mid. Because I don't often see NOED in the low ranks, because don't get me wrong I play survivor too, and while I haven't reached High ranks (mainly because wait times are bad as survivor and I'm not patient enough to wait just to have like a 5 minute game on a 20 minute wait time.)

But even then in those ranks, especially high mid (purple) I never find any sort of problem against NOED. Other people at that rank cleanse dulls just like me, and the game still ends almost exactly the same as any normal gen rush game.

Everyone does their part to stop NOED in the case that there is NOED. So do your part or stay like you are. Because the way your complaining is one of a baby would do. With all do respect that's what you are right now. A full grown adult baby.

We're done here. After this, your comments will not be even valued but toss away like trash. Because that's what your excuses are worth here.

Sure that’s fun, but I feel like this is one of the more balanced changes, there could even be a sort of tinkerer side to it, where it would curse the survivors when a gen hits 75%, so they’ll still have a bit of a surprise

    I actually wouldn't mind this

  • @Frozen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/639418#Comment_639418

cleanse take 15 seconds not 5, so only cleansing takes 75 seconds, to find it all usually takes 2 minutes on most easy small maps and 4 on hard maps(the game, swamp for example), so this actions give killers 3-5 additional minutes - for experienced killer it's HUGE difference, and guarantied loss for survivors. it's only easy if killer don't understand how to play and tunnel vision on good runner who have strong map set up. So - NOED don't have any counter play, no matter what survivors do it always give huge advantage to killer - decent additional time or instadown and speed boost, and all this for free nothing you can do about it

May I also remind you that they are 3 other survivors in the game ? you're putting it like if you were the only survivor, but they are at least 2 survivors doing gens at the minimum and 1 survivor looping the daylights out of the killer. Going back to what you said, 15 min per totem, while 2 are doing gens and let's go to a maximum 30 secs to find each totem. Game would really only last for 2-3 minutes longer than the usual 5 minutes.

So at best we're looking at an 8 miminute game and with that being said 8 minutes games aren't as bad as you claim they are. I usually go in a 2 man swf for the purpose to have my friend do all the looping while I focus on gens and totems I find along the way. don't bother giving me the solo survivor excuse because others here who do solo survivor in this comment section don't find a problem either. I might not be a rank 1 survivor but I'm also not stupid.

    'Unbalanced in the Killer's favor'

*Can be denied from ever activating if Survivors look around*

Boy, you don't know what unbalanced is. You're whining because you're too lazy to do Bones. You want your 3 minute genrushes and get all pouty if NoED stops that GGEZ twerking in the exit gate.

You can literally turn NoED off before it ever becomes a threat, and you call it unbalanced? Really?

    People don't understand honestly

  • @EnviouSLAY said:

"just cleanse totems" is easier said then done and an over used argument. Killers shouldn't need NOED since it really is a training wheels perk. If the killers are becoming more and more balanced it is not needed past rank 15. Rank 15-20 sure; you are getting a grasp of the game and might need the crutch to learn the ropes. As you put time into the game you can unlock the MANY other perks that help every other killer in the game. The old argument used to be "Nerf NOED then you have to nerd Self-Care"..well Self Care got balanced (which now has it not being used as much anymore to deal with that issue) but NOED has only been buffed to having the same affect at all tiers. I think it is a perk that should be rank locked; or at the very least only available on killers who do not have an insta down in their kit already. Having two insta down abilities is more than broken.

Yet we haven't arrived in ballanced land. Return to This poSt when the 3 musketeers (Hillbilly, Spirit and Nurse ) aren't as needed in the high ranks, then we'll talk.

  • @Mindcraft57 said:

What if NOED cursed survivors at one gen left? That way, survivors won’t get ridiculously blindsided, while killers can use it to stop them from popping the last gen.

  • @ninjamediness64 said:

I think the issue with NOED is that on one hand, it feels like a cheap way to down/kill survivors if the killer is bad, and on the other hand it‘s overkill when the killer is good.

That isn’t to say anything about playing solo and trying to do totems. I feel like I have to run a perk specifically for totems to counter NOED because I don’t know whether my teammates did any or not.

Just run a perk or map. I do it when I'm on totems duty.

  • @Frozen said:

another "just cleanse totems" braindead thread. please just count how much time it cost you, you most likely lose because of such a time waste, it even worse than selfcare trough sloppy butcher, just please its not really "counter" if it takes tooooo much time.

Totems in general take about 5 seconds to cleanse . This isn't counting thrill of the huntas it add an extra 1 second per totem perk on the map. Assume it takes at most 30 seconds to find a totem plus the 5 seconds to cleanse dull totem. This at the very max takes 1 survivor 175 seconds to cleanse all dull totem. About 3 minutes and 15 seconds. Remember this is just 1 survivor as if others cleanse dull totem too reduce that time, plus perks like small game , detective huntch and maps reduce the total tracking totems to 5-15 seconds. At the very least this cleansing totems takes about 1 minute and 40 seconds at the very most if everyone does their part or if 1 person brings one of the 3 things said above. sO no don't give me the excuse that it takes so long as it really only adds 2 minutes in the game . Most likely less iF swf or using certain perks or items. IT Doesn't takes much time, you are just lazy. with ALl do respect you're just lazy.

  • @Boss said:

  • @My_Farewell said:

    he's weak

I don't really think he's weak. I find Wraith to be one of the most underrated killers actually.

In a previous post me ranking each killer, I determined Wraith to be at best the 2nt worst killer in the game. I really doubt what you got could change my mind about Wraith.

  • @WeaponXMetsu said:

Well, I'm going to say this much. A lot of people talk about NOED being an unskilled perk and maybe it is, but look at it this way. It's to make the killer more dangerous. How well it does that depends on if you can find all totems or if you find it while lit. In most cases I use it because of my playstyle. I more often then not don't camp or tunnel so by the endgame there is always a big possibility that all survivors will be alive. Especially if I don't use Ruin.

So does this make me a bad killer because I didn't kill all survivors even if I hooked everyone 2 times by the end of the game and have NOED? Do I truly need to hook a person 3 times to deserve the kill? On the other hand. With perks that survivors have that make the killer hit them more (borrowed time, mettle of man, adrenaline) not to mention instant heals. Do survivors deserve to survive after being hit much more beyond the number of times they have been hit?

I think these are questions everyone needs to answer themselves. I personally don't think a good survivor needs adrenaline or mettle of man. Borrowed Time I understand. DS I understand. Instant Heals I don't. Especially since most of the time survivors are cocky because of such perks or items.

So that goes back to NOED. If survivors have an instant heal is it ok to one shot them? If they use adrenaline what is wrong with a one hit down?

Yeah plus NOED is like the killer's adrenaline.

  • @prayer_survivor said:

We can get another perk for survivors: NOWD No one will die. An object is hidden around the map. If the killer don't find it when gens are done or at EGC the survivors automatically escape. Looks balanced too.

That wouldn't make sense for the survivors tbh. Plus your idea is flawed, considering that they are 4 survivors and only 1 killer. The killer already does enough work getting to gens, downing people, hooking, regressing generators and guarding doors.

Survivors, all they need to do are 3 things, repair generators, cleanse totems, and avoid/loop the killer.

As it stands now, NOED is entirely unbalanced in the Killer's favor. They get a movement speed boost and permanent Insta-down attacks if the totem is never found. NOED has recently been popping up in every survivor match I play, along with an ebony mori. This combination makes it impossible for survivors to escape if they find themselves in a chase unless they're one sneaky Nea or Claudette, or if they happen across the hatch. The perk is even appearing in high rank games I'm in such as a Freddy I went against yesterday with top tier NOED and an Ivory Mori. He was rank 7. Games like this show that certain perks are completely unbalanced and that killers don't want to have a fun time playing and learn how to mindgame survivors. Instead they want the game to be on a sort of easy mode. I personally see this as a pathetic attempt at a win.

As it stands right now, NOED doesn't need a buff or nerf; it needs a complete rework.

The problem there was more the Eboni Mori and not so much NOED.

now people complain about noed next up they complain about billy and leatherface being able to instadown you

    lololololol

You brought up NOED, then ask for comments to be civil and kind. You're like playing with fire, dontcha?

So far people were kind enough to be civil, so I see this as an absolute win.

  • Well let's see I'm switching my main to Spirit so if they rework Spirit I would see how good it is and if it's bad I'll go back to good old reliable Billy.

Insta heals...don't know how that got through when in development of the time

Noed...don't know how that came into their mind at all

DS (First version) really don't know how that passed through

hex perks..because you know "Risk vs reward" when really its Risk vs Risk

MoM (First version)....my god I don't even wanna know how they came up with that and how that even passed their team in the first place

NOED came to existence in the time when survivors basically flew threw generators. They were dark times for killers. There was pallets next to pallets, windows would never get blocked no matter how much survivors abused it. They were so bad that even the most powerful killer at that time (Hillbilly) Needed NOED. NOED at those times wasn't a hex perk, it was infinite and it gave the killer 8% more movement speed. Yes Camping was also a big thing back then too.

NOED came to many changes. From lasting only 120 seconds to nerfing the speed to 4%. Then it became a Hex perk and fastfoward now and it was given a buff to add all expose effect on all levels. Plus some minor changes to NOED i won't talk about.

NOED now is ballanced and is still used for the same purpose. To indirectly counter genrush. So if NOED is up now, is the survivors fault.

So there you have it. NOED cAMe to existence because killers needed a way to stop genrush and be strong. We can all agree NOED is a very powerful perk.
