That can work... maybe it can replace Speed Limiter, since that one is basically useless.

It would work since the add on I'm suggesting changes the playstyle of Billy. Almost like playing a new killer.

  • @Talmeer said:

    -Pre patch Legion activating

-Buffing every killer so much, until the majority of their playerbase likes to play them in high ranks.

-Rework of survivors: Every survivor would be ending up as unique, how killers it are already today. Aka. Some of them would run faster, others would be better at repairing, others in killer spotting and so on. Of course also with drawbacks, so that they not ending up being op (example: that the runner classes are very bad at repairing and so on).

-New gamemods in parts. Escaping is a very great gamemode imo, but they could mix that gamemod a bit up with minor objectives in the maps and maybe also larger maps.

-After they would have that balanced out (something that would be a really big piece of work), maybe small event matches. Where the best killers hunt the best survivors with some unique outfits as price, or maybe also money (prices then only for the 3 best of each category).

    That would it for me.

So survivors become like the ones in Identity V.

  • I would say 2v8, but that idea has went down the drain.

Maybe like an april fools joke killer who is the most bland M1 killer in existence, and doesn't even have a power. He will be free because april fools.

Another fun thing would be that all of a suddent the role of killer and survivor switches for a day. Like Trapper, Nea and all of those killers are survivors for a day, and survivors like Dwight and Meg are killers for the day. Would just be a fun meme.

But I doubt the devs will go silly on us, even though it would be hilarious.

  • Ha ha ha. Well hopefully this can change.

well, i get that you dislike camping, i do too, but that doesnt justify throwing him out of his cathegory, just because he is a camper by design.

the "area" defenders defend has no rules to it - trapper and hag both have different areas to defend aswell, its just that bubba has the smallest one.

the wording might have not been the best in my previous post, but defenders are killers that defend something - that is an area with gens, pallets hooks, etc. in bubbas case it would literally just be the hook.

you cant deny that he is ment to be played on the defense, thats literally all his power can.

Maybe, but I'm just going to stick on him being a special potato. Since I'm not really going to give recognition to a killer who's soul purpose is to camp. Hate playing him, and against him.

Oh, I know, I mentioned that! I appreciate people who are trying to play their best, too.

I guess I just decided to go on an old man rant about the stupid way that people usually use that term. :D

    Nah, you're good fam.

  • @Hoodied said:

    You little shi- Oh thanks

    No problem.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

As long as people recognize that tryhard!=toxic, we good fam.

Playing optimally, efficiently, and with the meta is different than being a dick about it.

    I don't believe tryhard=toxic.

As tryhards are just people playing as intended at their maximum potential.

Toxic is just either bullying people to tilt them, or just bm people over and over.

  • @Rydog said:

"Tryhard" is in the same league as "git gud" in that it is a generic, empty insult that is used to patronize people of different skill levels. The two basically just sit at opposite ends of the spectrum.

I know this isn't a thread complaining at people for being "tryhards," but man, of course people are going to be putting significant effort into winning. That's the goal. I, too, am grateful to these people. I just call it "playing as intended."

I was just being a bit clickbaity. So I can bring those people in and thank them.

  • @xChrisx said:

    Balanced? Sure.

Nurse 5 blinks instasaw instadown tombstone infinite tier 3 morì instaheal and swf

Nurse is already getting checked, plus even before that I never found 5 blinks as a super problem as a survivor.

Instasaw, you just got to know how to dodge it. Learn how to.

Tombstone infinite, yes but I'm not really going to fight about that as devs will relook all maps and fix them. So I'm rooting on the devs.

Mories were in a way nerf thanks to rank system, plus even then, learn to take the L.

Instaheals are rather unfair, but they're part of the game. Just learn to play around it. I sure did.

SWF are a problem, but now in days I look at it as a challenge. You should to and just play the game.

    @Bravo0413 said:

The game is much better then before but as others have stated, we need a decent amount of work from the devs to complete the job in balancing...

And even after its finally balanced the game needs more....... I'd love to see more items for survivors, offerings, different game mechanics that and such and all of that will need to be balanced as well...

Same here. New items would make the survivor role much interesting and fun, but it better not be super overpowered as the role of power is still supposed to be on the Killer side. Overall the game is much better and I'm satisfied with the current area we're at.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I feel this game is very balanced in so much as a “everything’s fair in love and war” kind of way. I.e. there is nothing in this game that guarantees either side a win or a loss. Everything falls down to chance, luck, and who can outwit the other.

    Yeah, very much so.

  • @GrootDude said:

I feel like this game is actually really close to 100% balance, sure, some things annoy me but I just que up and play the next match or switch sides to calm down. <3

The Devs have done a pretty good job so far. :)

    Indeed they did.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

This game is nowhere near being balanced. It used to be a lot worse but we are far from where it should be.

I wouldn't say we're far. Both sides have an equal chance now. Depending on what they use.

  • @Mikeadatrix said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/619527#Comment_619527

This. I get the point of this post but we're at like 80% (if that) balanced. That last 20 percent is gonna take a couple years.

Balanced enough for me to enjoy the game.

  • @HazeHound said:

Super tryhards create nurse mains so yeah, good job indeed guys.

It creates any strong killer main that involves the three musketeers (Billy, Spirit, Nurse)

  • @darktrix said:

I'm not a baby I can guarantee you that.

  • @Mister_xD said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/619321#Comment_619321

well, looking at his power closer we would have a problem then:

he has no tracking tools, he is very bad at hunting and he has nothing to slow down the game with.

his one and only strength lies in , like @Ember_Hunter said, defending his hooks.

insidious camping is not necessary to use his power, yet its the most effective way.

his chainsaw is designed to be slow and hit multiple targets - where could you better use that then when someone is unhooking someone else? you can literally get 2 hooks out of one with him, no one else can do that as effectively as he can.

thats why i put him into the Defender category, as he is best suited to defend his prey and not let them go.

yeah, he is literally designed to be camping a hook. as much as it hurts to say this, thats sadly the truth. nothing is as scary as bubbas basement...

Then let's just agree Leatherface fits no category, because if we're going to go on an area. Let's just add the one rule where the area must contain gens.

  • I got clickbaited. Nice one.

  • Well I don't really know a good add on for the chainsaw brothers as their powers are instadown. Perhaps it can be like... the chainsaw no longer instantly puts survivors to the dying state, but when you charge the chainsaw you still move at 115% movement speed, and the charge and turning are moderately increased.

For Leatherface the add on would change in acceleration instead of turning.

Is almost like a mini rework, and is not super overpowered either.

Hate to break it to you, but we kinda already have ruined it with toxicity. This is the most toxic community I have ever seen in all my time playing games. We could always reverse the effect, but I'm afraid it would take a miracle to do that at this point.

Is never too late. For I used to be super toxic myself believe it or not.

  • @Crazewtboy said:

Someone should give this man a medal! This is one of the few threads where I don't see someone complaining about how survivors need something changed or are too toxic for the community. Glad that someone looks for a challenge in their matches but at the same time understands that this is just a game.

It is just a game, and games are made to have fun in. Let's not ruin it by intoxicating it with toxicity.

  • @GrootDude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/619377#Comment_619377

The only thing I get salty over is Lery’s or the cornfield as nurse, nothing else bothers me though. :)

The game is almost reaching 100% satisfaction as all things should be.

  • @Ember_Hunter said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/619337#Comment_619337

Yeah, camping sucks. :( Also tunneling.

Gen rushing sucks as killer too. If these three things could be fix, we could have a less salty community and every can be happier.

I'm currently satisfied with the current state of the game. Sure I wouldn't say is 100% perfect, but is enough for me to enjoy the game as killer and survivor. Now in days the only thing I'm ever salty about is me getting survivors who can't work threw ruin.

  • Well look who it is. Hey man. You might not remember me, but I remember you. Could we talk in private?

  • I would have to disagree with Billy being overpowered. While yes, he is very strong in many ways. Great map presence, an instadown and he destroys pallets with his chainsaw. Even if is not to instadown with billy you can always just use the chainsaw to catch up to a survivor and get a regular hit off. Billy is a nice relaxing killer which a high skill ceiling.

While I am myself a Billy main and I do say this from experience, but Billy still needs to deal with chases, pallet loops and window loops. Sure, certain Billy mains who transended Godhood can cut loops with chainsaws, something I can do myself, and even beyond God Billies can somehow go up haystacks in coldwind farm, something I haven't mastered yet.

However despite Hillbilly being always a consistently powerful killer. There is one example I would like to bring up when it comes to Billy. He does have a reliance for survivor mistakes. Most of the time I instadown survivors are due to them giving me the opportunity to and I take the open opportunity. Survivors who know how to properly loops a Hillbilly will never get hit by the chainsaw, and I know because I had matches when that happened, and I'm not a bad Billy main either, I'm really good at playing Hillbilly. Which is why I learn when and when not to use his chainsaw. Because sometimes you have an opening to instadown them and sometimes you don't.

Yes Hillbilly is probably the best killer when it comes down to hatch closing and end game activation. But really it depends on the map. Maps like Lerrys and The Entity forbid, The Game Map are probably Hillbilly's kryptonite. It limits his chainsaw. While Billys can still win in such maps, I'm sure I speak for all Billy mains that those two maps are the biggest pain to deal with.

Believe it or not, Hillbilly is actually one of the most balanced killers. He shines bright when he can punish survivor mistakes, but survivors with an equal amount of experience can make it really hard for Hillbilly players. Unlike Nurse and Spirit who really only loose by their mistakes, Billy looses if the survivors aren't super optimal. My favorite Twitch Streamer Tru3 proves this in a way on one of his games. While he doesn't deny Billy is strong. He's not Nurse or Spirit level where if you master them, you win every game.

Billy is close to that, but Billy really only wins by outplaying and capitalizing on mistakes. That's what he does best, and I know I'm darn good at punishing survivors for making mistakes like going out in the open, or going to a loop I can cut threw my chainsaw turn.

I can give more examples, but I think this will do. If you disagree that's perfectly fine. You're entitled to your opinion. I respect yours, and do hope you see things differently.

While solo I use spine chill, Iron Will, WGLF/Adrenaline and dead hard.

In swf I swap WGLF for BT.

    Sounds like a solid build.

  • Let's not go into insidious camping territory. Even I don't like doing that basement build and I play a lot of killer.

But then again is just me because I like getting momentum when I hook someone. Camping is just super boring and is certainly not fun for the survivor either.

All I want is the old fast vaults back, not have the stupid ones but the old animation if you know what I mean.

Basically the old fast vault animation but keeping with the requirements that we have now. I don't want those stupid fast vaults in enclosed spaces back.

Me. I'm satisfied with how the game is currently. Sure they are a few issues here and there for survivors and/or killers. Now in days I can live with it. Because I can finally say this from the bottom of my heart.

And I mean every single word.

I truly think the devs really did a pretty good job so far.

    Borrowed time Anti-camp perk :)

    Decisive strike Anti-tunnel perk :)

    Ha ha, nice

  • I'm very surprised how many of you don't run self care, but then again I tend to have distrust on other survivors except for those who I'm swf. So maybe is just the rank.

  • @Mister_xD said:

    honestly, id make it easier:

"Hunters" - killers whose strength lies at chasing survivors

    • Hillbilly
    • Nurse
    • Huntress
    • Shape
    • Nightmare
    • Clown
    • Spirit
    • Plague

"Trackers" - killers whose strength lies at tracking / finding survivors

    • Wraith
    • Shape (tier 1)
    • Doctor
    • Ghostface (uncertain about his placement, but his power seems to have more tracking tools that hunting tools, so...)

"Defenders" - killers whose strength lies at defending one area

    • Trapper
    • Hag
    • Cannibal

"Game Slowers" - killers whose strength lies at buying time and stalling the game

    • Pig
    • Legion

the significant part is, that Hunters are strong at hunting, but bad at tracking. Trackers are strong at tracking, but bad at hunting and Defenders are strong at hunting AND tracking in one area, but weak at both outside the area.

the "Game Slowers" are rather new, but they have bad hunting and tracking, therefore they get longer matches.

PS: "bad" in those cases means average. a hunter can still be good at tracking, its just that a tracker will have a much easier time.

A nice format. I like it, but I don't think Leatherdace would fit in defender.

  • @Glory said:

Mandatory: Leader (heal me faster, we have things to do!), brutal strength

Fun, but not always: spine chill, birbs! (Spies in the shadows)

Wish I used more: Tenacity (in the past week I've crawled to and escaped via 4 different hatches leveling ace, since it was his only tier 3 perk until the 30's lol), save the best for last (I wish I'd have played with the old, violently broken version D': )

Don't we all wish we could have played with the broken one. Ha ha ha.

Why thanks man, an actual good killer for once on the forums.

Killer mains reading this, be like this man 🙂

Well I'm not as angry at the game or devs as I used to. The game is now relatively balanced for both sides. So I'm no longer mad.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

Perk I cannot start a match without

Killer - can't really think of any. I tend to not build for the meta.

Survivor - I MUST HAVE at least one information perk, preferably Bond. But I will settle for Empathy, Premonition, or even Aftercare if I'm desperate.

One perk I like to use but don't need.

Killer - That would be Nurses Calling I guess. it the only one I use consistently.

Survivor - Tossup between Urban Evasion and Self Care

Perk I like but don't use often

Killer - I think Monitor and Abuse. I usually run it when I go Railgun Doc. I match the docs maddened giggles every time I goose somebody with shocks from outside my terror radius

Survivor - Detective's Hunch or Small Game

    Neat

With that being said, I'm guessing you don't dodge lobbies. That ish is annoying. I'm not even a tryhard(I don't use flashlights either, lol), but killers often tunnel those that know how to 360 juke them. I swear, respect the skill!

I really only dodge specific lobbies that make it ridiculously obvious that they're swf. Like 4 flashlights, they're swf. 4 medkits, probably instaheals. Now swf challenge is one thing, over abuse and toxicity is another, and I can speak for all killers that we can only tolerate so much.

One perk I can’t start a match without:

Killer: Surveillance - I know it’s not the best perk in the game but I have it in every build and it feels wrong when I don’t have it/haven’t unlocked yet.

Survivor: Lithe - gotta get those speedy vaults.

One perk I like to use but don’t need:

Killer: NOED - don’t always need if it doesn’t get to EGT, but when I do get to use it especially against a toxic SWF who mess around instead of leaving, it’s goooood

Survivor: WGLF - I want those sweet sweet BP for the not-so-sweet grind, but don’t need the perk as it literally helps nothing XD

One perk I like but don’t use much:

Killer: Thrilling Tremors - works very well in replacement of better perks that haven’t come in bloodweb yet for map surveillance, but always gets replaced.

Survivor: Unbreakable - satisfying for the few times it gets used, but rare. Never have it on when slugged, typical.

Nice, I don't always use NOED. I find using Bloodwarden (ON Billy) more satisfying when they don't leave. Is like the biggest middle finger on survivors. Is so big you can see it all the way across the map.

  • My personal thought for a buff for her is make her dash movement speed faster. So survivors have less time to react and gives more mindgame and chase potential to Pig.

  • I only ever bought Plague with shards. The others I just bought normally. Though originally I wanted to buy Legion with Shards, but I never did. Probably a good thing since Legion sucks now.
