Ugh I dislike all these try hards in this thread defining interesting or fun perks as "useless" because they aren't better than the meta perks they use.
-
Meh.
If I get hit by dstrike I don't really care. And if I think some one has it I go after someone else. But it's not like I need to go searching for to long since there is usually the unhooker nearby.
I don't find it to be that good honestly, I just think people over think dstrike and just really hate being stunned.
-
Let's be honest, opening up more near infinite loops was pretty op on some maps.
Also, I enjoy solo survivor. I ran spine chill + alert and any two other pets I want and I do fine.

it's gonna get nerfed, They won't push old Legion live again, I assume they will change it week 2 of the PTB.
Why do so many of you keep saying things like "make old Legion live". Nemesis doesn't work this way and, honestly, if you get destroyed by a Nemesis Legion its your own fault.
-
Don't stun Legion and you won't have to worry about it. Drop pallets early.

Not a exploit, but Nemesis pretty much brings back old Legion and after how much hate old Legion received, I doubt that devs will let this synergy work as it does now.
No. Its barely even similar. Its heavily reliant on Survivor interaction and doesn't have you moonwalking through the map and is not "on" 100% of the time. Hell it'll barely be 25%, probably, once people figure it out.
-
"but why can't they all be active at once?"
You mean what we currently have, so people can just work ALL of them during every match? You realize that it would be way less time consuming and easier to complete then right? People would just complain its too fast/easy.
If they did have us work all challenges at the same time they would probably make them WAY harder and/or have WAY more numbers. Like, instead of 6 first aid kits it would probably be like 12.
@FixThisGamePLS said:
We should at least be able to have two or three active at once... as it is now it takes SO long to finish them especially as a casual player. Some people have work and can’t play the game enough to finish them fast.
I work and I finished all of Tome 2 earlier this week. Its not THAT bad. The next one might be though.
Also, the tomes don't have a time limit.
-
Any change that removes or reduces playstyles/choices is bad in my opinion.
Shifting strength out of Legion's power, that is already weak and more harmful than helpful in some situations, and into add-ons is a bad move.
-
"Any Means Necessary" just sounds unfun and toxic tbh.
-
So they can hide how bad some of these add-ons/perks actually are.
For example: Legion's Cold Dirt "Considerably" reduces the cooldown time of Feral Frenzy. This reduces the cooldown by 0.6 seconds, from 4 seconds to 3.4 seconds.
-
Oh.
I did it on my first try and I was on all 5 gens when they got completed.
-
@chase131119 said:
Then you'd be pissy that they were in the store and that BHVR is trying to just make more money and scam their players.
Exactly.
Hell, I feel there would have been MORE pushback and complaints about selling them than the "all free" approach they decided on.
-
They already made their decision.
Not sure how "I had to play extra sweaty to earn these cosmetics" would change their mind anyways. Especially when its not even true.

Legacy is literally the same thing , those exclusives weren't coming back.
The promised Legacy would never be re-released.
They did not promise that for the other cosmetics.

At least we have earned those cosmetics by versing and winning against high skilled players, not have them given to us for free like all the casual players.
You realize that you are in the minority right? That most of the players who have the cosmetics aren't players who played in, and won, 3rd party tournaments or beat "high skilled" players?
Are you saying the "casuals" who got the code originally also don't deserve the cosmetics? Are you really so self-centered that you think your definition of "casuals" defines who and who is not worthy of getting something?
The cosmetics are the property of BHVR. You do not own them and BHVR can do what they want with them. Sorry you feel the need to have a tantrum over losing your "exclusivity".

WLADO93's 2nd DBD Tournament, Jurinko's 4v1 Tournament, The Entity's Curse, many Rite of Ignitions, worked so hard for them and now everybody is gonna have them :)
Why do people keep thinking BHVR is somehow responsible for, and should honor, players who got their cosmetic through a 3rd party? While its cool you won a tournament, literally no one cares that you won cosmetic codes from it when it wasn't an official BHVR-run tournament, especially since you think that winning said 3rd party tournament, that most players haven't even heard of by the way, earns you some entitlement to said cosmetics.

Quentin. But he is suppose to be getting a visual update which means the next worst, Meg, would be. And she's barely better than him currently. Her scarecrow-sweaty-ass is just... off putting.

Its nothing to do with other people. As a business, their decision has an impact on myself and everyone else involved. If I want to voice how I feel about their decision, I will. If a company created a loyalty scheme which was exclusive for those who had put the time and effort into their business, would it then be fair that after years, this was simply handed freely to everyone?
- "This has nothing to do with other people. Its about the fact that BHVR is giving the cosmetics to other people." lmao
- This kind of thing happens all the time.

They weren't free.
Yes. They were.
You spent time unlocking them? You've had hundreds of times the amount of time with the item than they took too unlock. At this point they actually costed you next to nothing, if we are converting time into money.
Also, its not like you really did anything other than play the game to unlock them.
-
No.
-
"You work your butt off to get a reward from company.
A joined the company one minute early before the reward and did nothing.
U and A get the same salary and reward bonus.
are you ok? are you happy?"
This is one of the worst "examples" of why you people are upset that I've seen so far. lmao
-
The DBD community never ceases to amaze. I wonder how long you people are going to complain about this for?
Maybe those if us who don't care/think you all late being ridiculous should stop giving you attention... Hmm. That's what you are suppose to do when people have tantrums right? Ignore them as to not validate their unwarranted outage. 🤔

I think they're referring to making a new version of Legacy for the characters
That's still confusing since "legacy" is always something, from every game I've played, given to or a label for items or characters that are provided to players who played early versions of the game. Almost always Beta. Or, in the case of Final Fantasy 14, servers and characters are labeled legacy for players who played during 1.0. They gained access to legacy servers and the opening of the game was slightly different for their legacy character.
Creating new "legacy" cosmetics would be weird at this point.
-
"new characters legacy"
What does this even mean?

@Shaddai said:
So many people are complaining about "gen grabbing" survivors for the challenge. You can complete this challenge by grabbing them from a window during a chase, or as they are entering/leaving a locker also. The only requirement is to "interrupt a survivor by grabbing them". Don't overthink it.
Edit - also pallet grabs and hook grabs. There's actually quite a few different ways to complete that one.
My fiance selected this challenge and was like "watch how easy this is going to be." Went into a match as The Pig and pulled the first survivor he found off the Gen. I was like "@.@ ######### how even did they let that happen."
He did it again to the same survivor later on as well, and pulled someone off a pallet. Needless to say it's def doable.

I'm still having a lot of issues navigating this map. I keep running into dead ends or back tracking without realizing it. Lol

Oh wow. I should have been using this all along.

I agree with the guy , it's either give all your exclusive time limited skin event for free to everyone or none at all...
- Legacy were promised to never be released again.
- A few that weren't listed are, I believe, unable to be released for free because of the rights tied to them or something. I'm not 100% certain on this, but I'm sure I read that it was either that or they were actually sold by BHVR for real money.
-
@HellCatJane said:
I thought they were free? I'm confused?
People were/are selling codes for the cosmetics and people buy them. And then these same people, and their friends I guess, are using the fact that these people spent money to buy the code from a scalper as a reason to not make them available to everyone.
Also some were only available by going to an irl event, but they were bonuses for going, the events themselves were more than just the cosmetic.
"On the other hand they lose their rarity. I personally have never bought cosmetics (outside of the dbd shop), but I know a few lads that did. Especially the golden feng is extremely expensive. I don't know if it's right to just give all these things away to everybody now. "
But WHY?

Siriously...are you know how much time i have investigate to get all the exclusives ect It is the same stuff and believe me, it doesn´t matter if you invest time to grind a bloodweb, or if you invest alot of time to playing all the Events and so on. With the upcomming changes for the exclusives skins, it would be super awesome for most of the player on PC, Consoleplayers. No more discuss about Legacy and BHVR can make alot of money.
They promised to never release Legacy after they were given out. What about this do people not understand?

Yeah why should he. In fact we should make every character P3. How about we slap legacy on everyone too. Also, how about instead of entering trials, survivors and the killers just play a poker game for 10 minutes and then the words "escape" or "merciless killer" appear on screen after. Let's just get rid of blood points altogether. You can use whatever items and perks you want. Not that it would matter because it's just a poker game.
Someone needs a nap.
-
Why should they get anything extra?
-
Let me translate:
"I didn't read the reasons why they are going to be free AND I think I am entitled to them being exclusive forever."
Sad really.

Or are you picking a choosing from my comment to pull of an unwarranted response.
Which parts exactly? The part where you state how you spent £600 on a cosmetic code or the part where you said that you spent money on the game?
Specifically: "I spent money on the game because I love the game and they are isolating everyone who did."
So, to elaborate on my point, you stated that you spent money on an exclusive cosmetic in your first post and stated how you are now upset that BHVR is giving said cosmetics away for free. Correct? Ok.
However, you spent £600 on the code, by paying another player not BHVR. Yes? Alright.
Then, in your second post, you state that you, and everyone else, who spent money on the game are being isolated. I assume you meant, specifically, spent money on exclusives right?
But, and this is a big but, the only evidence you have given about the exclusive cosmetic, the thing this thread is about, that you have stated you have paid for, and are upset about shows that you did not, in fact, spend money on the game for it.
Also, you stated that what they are doing is "immoral" and yet you try to pull the "you're immature" card on other posters. Ok.
-
I dislike entitled people so much.
Why is this upsetting? You've had the cosmetics for a while what is so bad about other players, who have no way of accessing it, getting it now?
Oh. Wait. Is that why? Because you can't show off and exclude people?
-
@Squoose said:

I tried to write my pov in the best way possible for everyone to understand and immature members like you just can't reply without insulting can ya. I spent money on the game because I love the game and they are isolating everyone who did. If you cannot accept this then piss off and don't waste my or anyone else's time by commenting stupid replies.
Hold up.
You didnt spend that £600 on the game, you spent it on a cosmetic code for the game. Please stop acting like they are the same thing. That £600 did not go towards supporting DBD it went towards supporting the person who sold the code.

There is a huge difference between rising to a challenge and roadblocking your progress. People do not mind a challenge - that’s why Bloodborne and Dark Souls is so popular. What people DON’T like is when something is so difficult, it either requires the blessing of RNGesus or so much time, stress, and energy that it literally sucks the fun right out of it. This is why people HATE the Wolfenstein Mein Leben trophy.
These so called challenges after the first level are categorically part of the latter. It’s a blatant swipe at your wallet.
Which of the challenges in the current Tome fall into this description though? They are all doable and none of them actually rely on rng to get completed as far as I can tell.

@ThatOneGuy said:
It’s not all bad it’s just extremely frustrating having run the killer around or get some gens done etc basically make good progress only to be facecamped or tunneled right off hook. “I don’t know why so many survivors DC” maybe because you literally hold us hostage and can’t do anything about it. If ur going to be petty I’m not giving you the kill or the pip plain and simple. “So you did all that work for nothing and throw your progress away” yup sure did no point in staying to not get points and giving a skill less killer who can only camp and tunnel to kill. Sorry about it. Obviously not every killer is like this, but my gah rank reset literally brings out the most pettiest of killers.
any arguments can be between yourself and yourself alone but not me :) have fun ^_^
DCing is almost never an acceptable action. Do you care so little for your own time and work that you can just throw it away because another player is making things difficult for you or trying to ruin your game? You aren't getting anything out of it, you are showing you don't care about your teammates AND you are giving the style of play you hate a complete and total win.
Please stop DCing, you are really only hurting yourself when you do it.
