It depends really what you mean. Do we condone farming? No, but there are generally no bans issued as long as no one is griefed, because there is a possibility it can turn into griefing. E.g. one survivor is forced to do generator on their own while the rest is farming with the killer. Killer and survivor working together to grief one survivor to then farm, etc. etc. There are multiple scenarios in which it can be a bannable offense.
We encourage you to play the game properly. It is okay to have fun, but it can be frustrating to people if they want to play a match and they face someone who is not doing anything as and just following them. In your case, I highly advise you to play the game normally and if you want to play nice with people, please make sure no one gets griefed in the process.

I just want to drop a reminder for everyone to please be respectful to each other. This can be discussed in a respectful manner, in addition to that, BHVR has stated before in the past there will be additions. Just also keep in mind, chapters are planned a lot of months ahead before release.

If they were not doing anything at all and just hiding mainly, it can be considered taking the game hostage. Video evidence is required though alongside with the in-game report. Send the video evidence to support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com You can read here for more: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

As it sounds like a bug more than anything, please report it here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

They're a use at your own risk. We do not recommend tampering with files.

Thank you for the Feedback, it's really appreciated Ryan. If you do have any questions, you can also always ask. I'm sorry there was confusion earlier and I'm glad I was able to clear it up!
_______
To clear this up, as it's taken out of context, the thing you quote was an answer about Feedback for ONE specific moderator (aka for ONE person) and not the whole moderation team! There is a difference between giving Feedback for one singular moderator of the team versus saying the whole moderation team is doing well.

This is a Forum about the game, to discuss the game content, but not to criticize content creators really, mostly as this can easily escalate into bashing and insults - then suddenly this content creator gets mentioned and insulted, etc.
It's not the right place. If it's to have a proper game-discussion (e.g. someone found a new way to play the game you wanna discuss, etc.), that is fine, but if you want to discuss what the content creator is doing and how they are presenting their content, then please use the channels related to them, e.g. YouTube, Twitch, etc. The Forum is not the right place for this. We've permitted threads in which it was about the game itself, but not when it's about the content of a content creator.
The Forum is not here to critique a video someone made or in essence, to critique their content. Use their channels for it.
-
The forum is not really the right place to discuss kind of thing or rather Feedback - it'd be more advised to see if there is any way to do it directly with the Streamers realm, but not here. Locking it to avoid any possible bashing.
-
Please report them in the game as this is clearly a bannable offense. Send additional evidence to support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues I recommend posting here for technical issues like that, someone might be able to help what causes the issues as it's more of a technical issue than a bug.
-
You are free to post constructive feedback and criticism about the forum here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/forum-feedback
Threads are also moved to the correct space if they're posted in the wrong sub-forum. But in the sub-forum I linked you, you can suggest changed and alterations and maybe even suggest how it could be changed! But blatantly asking to break the forum-rules is a no go. I highly advise everyone to read them too! https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/137-forum-rules

It's known and being investigated. For the future, please report bugs and issues here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

For bugs in general, please report them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
Reading that though... I hope it was still somewhat fun! :D

With the fact how the thread starts already in a negative way, I'm locking this before it can get out of hand. Please keep the name and shame rules in mind.

If you have reported them in the game, you can send additional evidence to support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com You can read here for more: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Here is an explanation.
To add further to that, if EGC is going on as an example (e.g. survivors hiding during EGC/killer blocking a survivor in the corner), then it wouldn't apply as the game will eventually end. But if it's happening before EGC and none of the survivors are doing anything, it can be considered holding the game hostage, which is a reportable instance. If you got evidence of this happening, after filing a in-game report (if you did), send your additional evidence to support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com

We do not recommend altering the game files - it's against the rules. If EAC bans you, there is nothing we can do for you.
-
It's a use at your own risk. We do not condone the usage of it. If EAC bans you, there is nothing we can do for you.
-
In regards of my comment I made on another thread, it was in reference to the current situation, which is what I mentioned. Of course, it does not mean that the experience you are making is not being ruined which I am very sorry for, but as of now, it is not reportable.
We do hear you though and we acknowledge how you feel. Feedback will be forwarded to the appropriate parties, so please know that it is not ignored.

They were using a fake username. I don’t see how simply reporting them without their Steam ID would help? For example, if they were called ‘Big Booty Jane’ and I reported that username but after my match they changed to ‘I Hate Crossplay’ - how would my report do anything? This is what’s annoying about going against PC players as it’s just so easy for them to keep changing their username.
So as it currently stands, I just have to let the hackers keep on hacking. 🤦🏼♂️
You can still report their username - because what matters the most is you've made a in-game report as it ties directly to that match, so whether or not you can put down their Steam ID is not that necessary.
It's enough if you put down the name in the support ticket and mention in the ticket itself that you reported them and that they might have used a fake name. In-Game reports are mandatory.

This is a forum, so people have the right to complain about something they enjoy, even if you think they don't. Let's not try to police which kind of threads people are allowed to make if they would like to talk about something you might think differently about. You are also free to think differently. This is a discussion board.

Breakdown is not bannable - people who do not frequent the forums or social media might take it for a sabo build without any knowledge of it being broken, plus you can still end a game. That's also why the pallet stun situation isn't bannable either, which has been also requested to be bannable.
Please don't report people for it.

There seems to be a bit of confusion.
There is bodyblocking where you run in front of a killer to attempt to stop a hook or protect a survivor, which is not bannable.
Before I explain the part which can be bannable, to clarify this: If you block a survivor in a corner for only a few seconds or a minute, that's not bannable. I will explain down below what is bannable
However, what can be bannable, if a killer or survivor decides to lock another survivor in a corner and they can't leave for several minutes. This is considered griefing as it doesn't let the player play the game. Blocking players from the game is what makes it a bannable offense if it lasts long enough. Running in front of a killer to protect another survivor is not bannable. Camping isn't bannable either.
On the other hand, if it was just before EGC started (this requires EGC to start shortly after), then it's not bannable anymore, as it was shortly before EGC and EGC will make the game end.
Example 1: There was this jolly happy Kate walking around, she sees a totem, she's full of joy, yay, she thinks! Time to cleanse a totem. She couldn't have anticipated that the Killer would appear and stand behind her. Now Kate is stuck, the game just started. She waits and waits, but the Killer doesn't move. For the whole game. EGC finally kicks in, but it took long enough.
Can Kate report this incident as it took place throughout the whole game and for several minutes? Yes, Kate can report this scenario.
Example 2: However, if Kate were to cleanse the NOED totem at the end when EGC started and the Killer would lock her in again... No, Kate wouldn't be able to report it, because the game was done already.

It depends now if it was only for 3 minutes or if you're saying they have ended up hiding for 20 minutes - if it's the latter, that can be possibly bannable for holding the game hostage. If you were chasing some of them during that time though, that would be probably be a different topic. As context seems to be a bit lacking of how long they hid, but I'm assuming it was for longer than 3 minutes, than yes, that could be considered holding the game hostage.
If it was 3 minutes, then no. For more information read the game rules: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

They definitely know on PC, you're right about Console though.
Hey @Gay Myers (Luzi) is farming with the Killer bannable, since it's Survivors working with the Killer?
Good morning. Farming is a grey area and we do not encourage it directly as we want people to playthe game, but it is not outright bannable. It becomes bannable when someone is being forced to farm (it'd be griefing them) and not allowing them to play the game normally if they want to play it in a normal fashion. One example would be: One player doesn't want to farm, so the other three survivors refuse to do the gens and they have to do five gens on their own.
But in general, the OP seems to be referring to something completely different - working with the killer to kill other survivors - which on the other hand is considered griefing and a bannable offense.
If this was the case, please report them in the game each time and send additional evidence to support. You can read here for more: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Report the profile on Steam and play the game according to rules. You can also leave a lobby if you don't want to play with someone.
-
I think this thread has discussed itself out a while ago - it's a complex topic and streamers also themselves have been asking for a streamer mode, so there is interest to have a mode like that, too.
Whatever you want to do with that though, in regards of your name being there, that is something for you to decide. As of now this is just a big back and forth right here with the same arguments being used by both sides.
-
As it has been answered already multiple times, I'm locking this. No, you can't be banned for being in a SWF, even if someone reports you. It's not a bannable offense.
You can read here more for bannable offenses: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

As you said yourself, you already have a thread like this. Let's avoid creating double threads and to everyone overall, always remain civil and respectful, thank you. People will have different opinions and you can discuss these without getting disrespectful. Locking this now, as there is one that already exists.

This already has been reported and the team is aware, but for the future please report bugs here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

If they just left you to die, that's not against the rules - that's not griefing. Griefing would be if they worked with the killer to kill you.

We generally do not condone farming, but in this case I'd say it's not bannable, because in the long run, it is the killers job to kill in the long run and it was this way the killer chose to end it - it sounds like you all were participating until then too. If this is not the case and it felt like you were forced into farming, then yes, it can be problematic and possibly considered griefing.

Considering how the thread has started and how it's going, I'm locking this. No one should be shamed for which platform they play on - whether it be reasons for money or any other reason. That's not for anyone to judge. In regards of the whole situation, please watch this:
