    I think you might.

It's basically sacrifice 25 Jakes, Dwights, Megs and Claudettes for the masks.

as long as we are on the topic, the devs have been asked for like 6 months now in every QA about why the report form was taken down before another was put up, and how long it will take to make one. they dodge the question every single time, to the point where its become a joke around here, since apparently its easier to make dlc like maps, killers and survivors, than to make a basic web form.

the lack of a report and the ingame one being a joke (proof with video goes unchecked for months) has lead to an influx of speedhackers in the past few months, but bhvr wouldnt know that since they dont have a system to keep track of it.

i dont honestly expect answers, i just want you to know that this looks bad.

And I cannot give you any information in that regards. I've my limitations. I've to use the same report system as everyone else, but in the long run that's not the topic at hand

"because every action should have some sort of consequences"

Like getting hooked refills your exhaustion.

C'mon, folks, let's take a nice relaxing break on the hook.

    -Mashes Sprint while getting unhooked-

Camping has a very real consequence - It's a loss vs SWF / anyone that realized you're standing still.

Bloodlust would not be necessary if they:

    1) Balanced the maps
    2) Fixed the hitboxes to remove Nascar Racing Sim 2000

It depends with camping, because a lot of people will still rush in like beheaded chicken. So it can easily be beneficial for those who camp.

And it is way too punishing that exhaustion wouldn't go down when you're hooked. Now for clarification, I actually did not watch the Q&A (the irony as mod). Is it literally like it resets or that it still has the normal exhaustion effect? The latter is what I'm okay with, if it literally resets, no spank you.

BL is the same reasoning I gave earlier - balance maps and you added the hitbox issue.

I haven't seen anything on this thread answering the original question. Is there a reason why Behavior hasn't added an in-game chat function? Have they even discussed the subject before?

Yes, several times and usually their answer was basically for immersion reasons, if I remember correctly.

Really? I mean, I understand that they can't prevent other forms of communication outside of the game, but considering that people are "breaking immersion" anyway, one would think their reasoning would be more substantial than that. Especially when the pros outweigh the cons so heavily.

I believe it was that, because down the road they just kept saying no no no each time they were asked and stopped explaining why.

Bloodlust needs to go. It promotes bad killer plays and requires you to learn less. It's one of the reasons I stopped playing killers aside from killers FOV and flashlights white screen giving me migraines. I hated using BL and I would instantly lose it if I ever reached tier III, because it meant for that I did not play optimally.

Yes, maps need adjusting still and I can prolly live with BL staying until then, but once maps get balanced, it needs to go.

Also when you're hooked, you're not doing anything. It makes perfect sense exhaustion cooldown would go down when you're hooked.

This tells me you must not play at ranks where pallet looping happens, because pallet looping can only be countered by bloodlust (or nurse), else you can spend 5 minutes looping every pallet in the map.

The devs stated that they wanted survivors to not be feeling “safe” in front of killers, thats why they made bloodlust, yet after i loop a killer a few times for bloodlust to activate, all i have to do is make them break the pallet and they lose it, then on to the next one.

Its clear by these ridiculous changes that the review bomb actually worked, despite near universal praise from your vet players as a long awaited step in the right direction.

Its still abundantly clear that the devs do not consult their most experienced players when making decisions about a game they only play at non-competitive ranks.

I have played in these ranks. I was rank 2 max and that is enough to almost always meet rank 1 players. I just never was bothered by it that much and I was able to play around it enough when I was playing. Usually matches would end pretty quickly on my end as killer, but I had to stop playing mainly killer after the FOV change. I can only play a bit of killer otherwise it will cause migraine due to the FOV + flashlight white screen. I do know my killrate in percentage from the time I was playing and that only includes 4ks, it was decent enough that I can say I did not have that many issues in the old times and I mean really old issues. I started playing when Myers released.

Bloodlust was made as a bandaid until map would be balanced - that's how it was introduced and that it will go once maps are balanced. That is the point. Once maps get fixed in the best ways, it can go, because it's not needed anymore and for me to reac BL tier III is as if I'm being carried and I don't like that.

Theres my point. Youve once, in a couple years, got a killer to rank2... and i would go so far as to bet that youve made it further than most of the devs.

Like i said, they simply do not consult with their most experienced players, aka the people who know the actual gameplay better than them, about massive gameplay changes.

No offense, but your personal experiece from years ago for a couple weeks or so, is not an informed opinion for the current state of the game.

I can personally pallet loop a non-nurse killer for the entire map, with nearly zero fear or pressure until the pallets are all gone, and by that time the gens are done. Thats not balanced.

Its fine. The game will go on, but as the majority of your vets have said over and over, the game will never be balanced while the devs clearly continue to make decisions based on their rank20 gameplay.

It wasn't once though. It was every time until the huge chance in February-March to the FOV that kept getting worse. :P I said in my post I stopped playing killer mostly when the FOV changed, the biggest change was in February 2017.

Not disagreeing with the rest that much, so no real comment here on my end.

Well, what level of Kindred are we talking about here? T1 is pretty good. T2 is even better. T3 might be OP. If they are making Kindred default, then my biggest question is, what happens to Kindred? Will it be changed or removed?

Good question. I think that could be asked in the next Q&A. I will see if I can get a answer earlier though. I think T2 would be fair. I agree T3 would be too much.

Actually, did they answer that in the current Q&A?

I agree with this. Bloodlust is a bandaid for a much larger issue. I would take balanced maps over bloodlust any day. Hopefully before the end of 2018 every map is balanced so that there is no critical time wasters or safe spots and then BL rightfully gets the axe.

I hope so. With proper balance of maps and BL gone, I would have more reason to start playing the game again. > @WalterWh1te said:

100% agree. If you rely on current BL 3 to catch someone something is wrong.

Also the pallet interaction didn't feel intuitive in the PTB. Getting a hit on someone after the stun should have kicked in is no bueno.

Those changes are not a overnight reaction to some reviews. Its a general roadmap to make the game fun for both sides.

This includes more fluid animations and interactions.

But keep on going with the victim entertainment. Its pretty hilarious tbh.

Oh yeah, a hit after the stun sounds no bueno, even though it could be latency? Considering the amount of posts I saw about that, I doubt it is latency though. That doesn't sound too fancy to me. It might change with the animation change that McLean showed on Stream though, because it could explain some issues with the pallets on both sides.

While that may be true. They are first beginning with BL and not with the map balance. Killers are just getting nerfed again and it pisses me off. ''Hey! The survivor players gave us over 440 bad reviews in one day and over 650 in two days. Let's reward with buffs and killer nerfs, am I right?''

You can't possibly say that ######### is fair at all! They have to buff Brutal Strength then so we can still keep up with the survivors!

BS is fine where it is and anymore buffs would make it way too strong. There is a difference between balancing and just outstraight oping stuff. Numbers need to be treated carefully in DBD, because the multipliers are really weird, so buffing BS in numbers might just break the perk.

Balancing is nerfing and buffing on both sides. You cannot get anything right immediately. I've never seen that done in any game that XY patch was right away the perfect patch. I never said things are fair, because a lot of things are unfair in the game for both sides, but when I look at these changes I'm usually very cold towards them. They make sense to me on a rational basis.

They needed to lower BL so people can start to learn mindgames, because a lot of players are nowadays new players who never played the game with no BL, so they can get used to a different type of game and develop new strategies, because the end goal is to remove it once maps are balanced. I do believe lowering the numbers are needed before that can happen at all, even after map balance, because a ice cold removal of the feature would throw a lot of players out of the loop.

Like others points out, that change was mentioned several times in the past few weeks.

Balancing is nerfing and buffing, yes. But this game is branded as asymmetrical. It should be power vs numbers. It's power vs numbers with power right now.

A BS buff wouldn't make it OP. IT would make it how it used to be. Even if it's only up to 30%.

They should buff all killers a bit. Make MM like he used to be for example. Almost infinite stalking range and stacking EW succ speed

MM is in a good place right now. Infinite stalking range would literally break the game due to the render issues with some objects causing him to look through some objects. I think his stalking right now is bugged, at least the way he is collecting his stalk from survivors when a red survivors in the frame - it slows down, so it can hinder your process.

And no, currently how the game is any buff to BS would make it too strong. BS is in a really good place right now and it can cut off enough to catch up to someone and I think there will not be a buff in the near future for it considering the pallet changes.

Buff the killers generally, yes, but even if it's asymmetrical, you cannot buff something to hell and risk that a huge amount of players won't have fun. There is a difference between making a scary and thrilling experience and a unfair and unfun experience. Depending on the way you do it, it can shift to the unfair and unfun side really quickly and it's not even a matter of adapting. No amount of adapting can change the unfairness of some things and if they just get frustrating, it's not a good change.

Survivors are also getting MASSIVE buffs.

In-built kindred, invincibility frames while being unhooked (killer will act as though they hit a hooked survivor if the survivor has not regained control after unhooking), and HOOKING REMOVES EXHAUSTION.

Chase that guy for 2 minutes after a well-time Sprint Burst and hook them?
Oh no, they're getting unhooked! * watches them mash Sprint and escape during I-Frames *
Fair and balanced, fam, especially with the speed of BL3 being nerfed by 50%.

The in-built Kindred is fair, because every action should have some sort of consequences - also camping. Invincibility frames were very much needed after being unhooked. It caused too much frustration and it used to be in the game, but it was removed for animation reasons. It wasn't even a balance reason, but animations.

BL needs to go. It's one of the reasons I stopped playing killer and I always felt like it was carrying me when I reached tier III, so I would intentionally lose it. Maps need to be balanced before it can be removed, but then it should go 100% once maps are balanced enough for both sides to work out if you play optimally. Never forget both sides need to play optimally and everyone needs to analyze their mistakes.

Maps are never going to be balanced tho. Balance would mean a decrease of pallets. I'm not talking about only 1 or 2 pallets. I'm talking about 5 or something like that. And if even one more pallet gets removed per map, survivors are gonna review bomb the game again and then get a buff

The BL change had nothing to do with the review bombs or any of these changes. They were talked about before and it was always said they will monitor every change, because the exhaustion nerf hit perks that should not have been hit by it. Only Sprint Burst needed to be nerfed and I still think it needs to be nerfed. Reduce speed you run at with the exhaustion nerf.

I think long wall windows are something that are overlooked a lot of times. These need to go. Literally just go, because all of them are nuisance or remove the pallet that's usually right next to a long wall window, but most of them need to go, because they're a issue for both sides.

And if you chase the guy for 2 minutes with SB, it's still two minutes he couldn't use it compared to how it used to be, so the chase might have been longer than 2 minutes with the previous SB.

Shouldn't really disregard that, because this is lore. It is a confirmed lore piece by the devs. There are several realms and we are playing only in one, not all that exist.

  • The main reason might be the reason why Fallout removed the ability to kill kids: Controversy and potential bans in certain countries.

Try to justify yourself as a company that lets kid be playable as survivors and explain they get hooked on hooks and can be mori'd, which vary from cannibalism to slashing and chainsawing.

You have to consider, in the long run the devs are the entity.
