Yes and the teams are still separate. One team doing their work does not influence what the others does in that regard, especially for lore and story.

The balance team is not just one person. There are multiple people on the balance team.

After a tiny clean up and some confusion, I want to clarify one thing in regards of relationships that seems to cause confusion: BHVR has confirmed some of the characters they mentioned were heterosexual in preference. They reference to it in this statement: https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1271526607828779009/photo/1 "We did set our character's preferences in the past, notably in heterosexual relationships." I think this might help with some discussions a bit more.
They also fully intent on adding an LGBTQIA+ character, as states here, but they want to do it right. They don't want the character to be a token character, but to feel natural. Just like we are, human too.

I just wanted to pop in to remind you all again to always remain respectful and civil, both sides. Attacking each other does not help in this matter, as it can manifest the views people already have on the different kind of groups of people, this is not what should happen. Treat people with respect, no matter what.
Just as much as it's great to have creative freedom, to some of us representation of any kind matters too.
Please treat this carefully.

After going through the thread a bit, I want to make something very clear. BHVR has in the past commented on wanting add a LGBTQIA+ character in the future (it's not stated when) and they also said they want to make sure it's not a token character. They want players to be able to feel the character is natural and not just "Hey, I'M LGBTQIA+!" Here's a clip where they talk about it:

It's great if you don't feel the need to have representation, but some people do care about it and it makes them feel good. I'm one of those people that'd love representation for myself. I know that not everyone goes through the same things in life and we all feel and are different, but this is something I feel like is important. Not just in here, but a very important overall topic.
One big thing I think is also forgotten - many people are already represented sort of automatically, so it might be confusing, but please try to listen to people who try to explain why it's so important. We exist and we're here to stay and not to go anywhere. It's not new, we've always been here. We're normal, just like anyone else, we're humans.
It just needs to be done right, that's what I think and BHVR wants to do it right - they want to make sure it's not a token character.
I will also very firmly say this: We do not tolerate any form and kind of homophobia, transphobia, lgbtphobia of any kind, xenophobia and racism on the forums or in the game. Comments of this nature will be removed with direct consequences from now on.

I want to add something, because it doesn't seem quite clear: Dead by Daylight as a game has different departments working on the game. Those who create characters, e.g. the lore and story, they don't work on bug fixes or game balance. They are completely different teams.

Probably because submitting a new ticket puts you back in the queue. Plus this many amount of tickets aren't necessary...! That's more spam. I understand it's frustrating, but patience is virtue and spamming any support doesn't help.

If game rules are broken, including abuse in end-game chat, action will be taken. It's not all insults or personal attacks - a simple "######### you" wouldn't get anyone in trouble really, but if it's a slur or much heavier insults, threats, etc., action is taken.

Well the survivors objective is to do gens, they aren’t attempting so this.
The killers objective is to kill, they aren’t attempting to do this either.
It doesn't change if the survivors are not doing the objective - even if the killer is not looking for them, they then have much more of a chance to finish gens.
The screenshot with Peas explanation describes it as what it is - holding the game hostage.

Okay, so here is the deal for being AFK and OP, I advise you take this to heart and not take this personally, but this behavior, depending on how many times it happens, can be considered breaking the rules for not playing the game.
While there are no consequences for let's say, being afk twice or something like that, especially if it's over a long period of time, emergencies happen (your cat might have decided to throw your glass of water to the ground, work obligations suddenly come up or your dog has thrown up), but it becomes an issue if it's a habet that occurs a lot. This means, in itself being AFK is not bannable, things can happen. We all love real life obligations.
If this is a very common occurrence for someone to do though, yes, this can be considered ruining the game for others as they are not playing the game and can result in a temporary ban. Some people don't want to run in front of the killer to get their points to get something out of it at least, a lot of people simply just want to play the game. It requires several reports that this happens with the same person over and over again.

There is a big difference between giving feedback in a constructive manner versus bashing people, including the devs, when you give feedback. If you throw insults of any kind or restort to dev bashing instead of providing constructive criticism, you actually get verbaled/reminded to stop this and provide constructive criticism.
It only becomes a consequence (e.g. a warn) if you continue to do so and ignore the crew team several times - only then, unless you use heavy insults, slurs or direct them at people. People can also have different opinion other than yours, so the moment you start attacking others for thinking differently than you, that can result in a consequence, but generally we follow a system in which we remind either specific users or the whole chatroom to remain civil and respectful and if they still refuse to do so after we did so a few times, it'll result in a consequence.
Bans are only handed out if it's escalation or if you've broken specific rules of the Discord Guidelines/TOS and our rules, such as posting NSFW, Gore, animal abuse, etc. content. If you wish anyone to die or threaten anyone, that will also result in a ban.
So in short, no, we don't ban for the tiniest criticism. We have a escalation system, unless you break specific rules and guidelines/TOS from Discord.

Discord bans can only be appealed with the person that has banned you. You can add them by checking your DMs with Elemental. If you don't share a server with Elemental and you closed the DM, you can join Elementals server to dm the bot: https://discord.gg/jRaQfcX

Ansonsten hättest du dir die Regeln durchlesen sollen, weil da nämlich alles ganz klar steht! Es gibt auch Discord Regeln, denen wir folgen müssen, vor allem als offizieller und Partner Server. Da sind die Regeln strenger und noch mal etwas anders, da ist es egal, ob das Spiel ab 18 ist oder nicht.

You can attempt to refund the DLC on the platform you've bought it from. They are the ones responsible for refunds.
