Considering how this thread is going, I'm going to lock it down as there also have been some attacks and insults towards content creators. You are free to not feel comfortable with being on someone's stream/YouTube, but let's avoid attacking them for sharing their content online. Things can be discussed in a civil manner.
-
Apparently people can't seem to not break the game and forum rules. Due to the way this keeps escalating, I'm locking the thread.
-
I just want to remind everyone, why we allow people to discuss, we absolutely do not condone breaking the game rules and admission of such on the forums. Please avoid doing so, thank you.

I’ve talked about this before and i took a ticket out WEEKS ago and i’ve had literally no response, and yes i’ve checked multiple times.
But my adam and spirit have been deleted, well no. They’re just locked. I bought them when they first came out, and now it requires me to pay again.
Their cosmetics are still there, and so are their teachables, so the save of them is available it’s just i’d have to pay again.
And i’m not paying to get characters i’ve already got, and were basically stolen from me.
I haven’t seen anyone else talk about this at all. Is it just me? Like the chances of that happening are really low.
I don’t even play as then a lot, but the fact that it happened to me just makes me not wanna play the game.
So i just wanna ask, how did this happen.
How can i fix it.
Have an average day. :)
Hey, I will message you.

It relates to the law other countries have. In-game activity such as losing control of your character?
I'm on console, don't know if this effects me as much as it would PC players.
I'd say that's more or less a in-game bug or could be your controller
-
Any behavior that's unusual, e.g. not you essentially. General odd behavior, you notice weird activity, etc. That's what I would assume would classify as suspicious behavior in general, at least.
-
It has been made public in the in-game news.
Here is an explanation of what happened. Please read this for more information. Everything has been done to take immediate precautions.

I am getting into matches now. Was it timing or did something have to happen to allow my ID's to work? Just curious and thanks for getting me back in quickly.
You probably posted it the moment it was fixed kind of :P It was an issue on our end, but it is solved now.
-
It should be fixed now. Please restart the game and see if it works!

Is this related to match error preventing matches?
People right now are receiving a error message that says "Connection with host could not be established." It's in relation to that. This is being looked into right now.
-
Hey, there are issues with the MM, it's being looked at right now! I'm sorry for the inconvience.

It could possibly be an audio bug. Please take a look at this sub-forum and check first if it has been reported already: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

Yeah I gotcha. This isn't meant to be a knock towards the devs or anything, so I'm sorry if it came off that way. It was more meant to be a meme. That said, my matches with sbmm have all been with players still wet behind the ears. This is just my representation of that. I have confidence in the team to adjust the system eventually!
Ah, I didn't mean to imply you meant it as a knock to the devs :D Yea, it is generally monitored and right now a test to see how it affects our players.
-
Ranks themselves (the numbers) are not factored in your SBM - it is the SBM of each of your killer you play individually and the SBM of the survivors you face which would be similar to the killer you play. It is possible high "rank" may face low "rank" now, but the numbers per se are not what's important. Still, in regards of everything, it is being monitored overall how it affect the players
-
The system can't detect why you left, only that you did. A crash/lost connection can be caused intentional, hence why crashes/loss of internet also receive a penalty. If you want to appeal your DC ban, please go here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000836752
But also keep in mind your connection is your responsibility. Whether it's intentional or not, if you lose connection, you still are a player missing in the round of the round had to end, because you were the killer.
-
Even if it's slugging from the beginning and/or multiple survivors being slugged, it's not a bannable offense as the game eventually ends. If the killer were to hook everyone within, let's say 2 minutes and then those survivors keep struggling till the end, the survivors aren't also holding the game hostage by doing so.
A unfun experience does not equal rules being broken automatically. Many people don't enjoy being camped, but it's not breaking the rules, etc.
-
After going through the thread and having to remove some comments, the thread will be closed as it's just a back and forth of the same comments and it has escalated quite a few times. The Forum is fore the Core Dead by Daylight game. :) They are two separate teams.
-
Reporting them in the game is enough in this instance. There are some rule breaks with higher consequences which you can read here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
It will be reviewed and handled by the ACMs, what was said is definitely bannable and will be dealt with.

Generally for requests like this, support would be the outlet to contact (if you are the owner of said utensil), but I can answer this one. The forum has a security protection enabled that protects the forums and our users safety from potential ddos attacks. It is not possible for us to make an exception in this regard, as it is a concern for the safety of our users overall.

Alright thanks for the answers.
Did this shortly before EGC but was still chasing and downing them and after i downed 2 survivors i also hit the one i trapped there.
If you were actively still playing the game and did not keep them in there for a long amount of time, you should be fine if "shortly before EGC" does not mean like 5 minutes before EGC.
However, if you'd do this throughout the whole game and not give the survivor a chance to get away, thus blocking them in there for several minutes and preventing them from playing the game, this can be considered griefing and holding the survivor hostage.
-
The thread seems to be going back and forth and it has been answered already. If something is exploitable to give someone an advantage the other doesn't have, why would it not be bannable? Something that's harmless would most likely not result in a ban if it doesn't affect anyone, but if it's anything that gives one party an advantage, then it should be. When you play the game, there are a set of rules you agree to, the EULA of Dead by Daylight, the platform you're on and our game rules.

The music of the game is stellar! It's so good and how they also make the music fit a character so well. It's like magic... For me my favorite thing will always be the Huntress humming.
Music for me is a big important part in any kind of game!

Dies ist im Moment noch nicht möglich, aber sollte bald zur Verfügung stehen. Ich habe kein genaues Datum, wann.

Aight, I'm closing this thread as it keeps escalating and circling around the same points. It has become repetitive and extremely hostile.
I think open dialogue is important, educating people is important too. Sometimes having a direct dialogue with someone who has a certain experience can help - it's different than just reading about it online, but it is also understandable why a group of people might be tired, too.
But I also want to remind everyone, it is BHVRs plan to eventually include representation - they have commented on it multiple times after they've confirmed a few relationships even though their original statement was they want to leave it up to the fans and not ever touch this topic. This has changed and it is in their full plan to add someone from LGBTQIA+ one day.

Okay, let's again try to cool down and not attack each other. Take a breather everyone and step away for a bit. Both sides. This is becoming very heated and hostile. It's important that we still keep an open mind as much as possible, I feel like right now it might be a bit of a miscommunication on both sides.

Well that was why I made this post. I see people fighting eachother without understanding what the other part is saying. I think that I understand why there is hate on the LGBT topic, so I pointed out. That way, the next time someone is talking to a guy hating this representation, he will understand why does the other guy feels that guy. If you want to convince someone, first you need to understand what he is saying. Most people here think that every "I dont want a LGBT survivor" threat is because "they hate gay people". No they don't. They have other reasons to reject it, and because I think those reasons are wrong and are very easy to debate, then I just told everybody "ey, instead of calling them homofobic, try to explain them that they are not understanding this or that". But yea reading comprehension is not that high.
That is fair point in regards of attacking each other - I think a lot comes partially of people slowly being tired of being told XYZ should not be in XYZ, because of XYZ, but I think it's important to be open and try to have a debate on both sides. Just some comments are over the top and maybe they come from a place of prejudice, but it's important to listen then too!
I generally advise obviously, use the report button if someone says something breaking the rules!
-
Let's all try to calm down a bit. I know it's a heated and sensitive topic, but attacking each other is not the way to go. That goes for both sides, we need to be welcoming to each other. This helps much more making people understand instead of trying to attack and go after them, from either sides.
I would also try to make people understand that being LGBTQIA+ is not political. My existence is not political, me attempting to get more rights for myself and others... if you want to call that political, sure, then do so, but I don't think it is, because it's about human rights.
Here is a interesting thing I learnt about media and advertisement when I was studying media design in my apprenticeship. It's also why it is important that representation exists.
When you do advertisement, many times you assess the region and you will use what the region is familiar with. Why? Because it's their "normal." This can literally mean for white people in an area they won't see pamphlets, flyers, posters, etc. with people from different countries that aren't their group of people. Before anyone wants to throw pitchforks at me: This happened at my previous workplace where I did my apprenticeship. I added pictures of diverse people of different ages and backgrounds to their advertisement material, I was given creative freedom. This included people that weren't heterosexual. I had to remove all of it and just make it their "normal." I'm not throwing pitchforks here or whatsoever. But this is a genuine thing.
Whether you believe it or not, but media, advertisements, etc. presenting only one type of thing causes that this is the "normal." This includes orientation and even people from different countries and ethnic backgrounds. During my apprenticeship I had another workplace and that previous boss rooted for me whenever I made my advertisement diverse, with different people of different backgrounds. For this job I had to got another town that's diverse in a lot of aspects, including LGBT+ and different kind of ethnic backgrounds, but generally, he was awesome. My other boss was nice too, but some customers wouldn't want anything else on their advertisement material thye didn't consider "normal."
This is why representation matters. It is sad, but we essentially need to be normalized, because for a lot of years we have not been. We're here, we exist and we're just humans too who would love to see ourselves also presented like anyone else. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Let's just get one thing straight here: if there's an LGBT killer and they don't get a Legendary skin that turns their power into rainbows, I will contact the LGBT council and write a sternly worded letter to your headquarters! I know the president of LGBT, Lady Gaga, so don't make me call her!
Adiris getting a skin where she vomits rainbows instead of bile is also acceptable.
Oh? I heard Adiris and rainbows? Well... Whaddya know, we just have the emote for that on BTTV and the official Discord.

There are memes about everything, don't take them seriously. They're a propaganda tool at this point, TBH.
Putting that aside, this is actually a good point. Most characters (not just in DbD) who are from outside NA are almost always shown as immigrants to NA, or descendants of immigrants. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Adiris, Lisa (Sherwood), and Yui as exceptions, but I'm sure someone else can name more.
Felix is from Germany. "Felix Richter was born to Janos and Ursula Richter in Coburg, Germany, where the Richter family had deep connections and were among the most respected of its physicians."
I know he is Caucasian, but just to point out he's from Europe! As an additional detail.

Please wait until they get back to you, they will. Sometimes they are backed up. Also do not send new tickets, because it bumps your tickets back at the end of the queue!

I am nudging for a last reminder to stay on topic.
-
How about we stay on topic? This is not about cancel culture or any series or their statistics or content creators. Let's not trail off, thank you.
Also, the teams are separate. It's different teams working on different things. Bug fixes and balance does not suffer from the creation of characters. They are very different teams.
The team that creates characters works on their... surprise, stories! Who they are, etc. Representation is important to BHVR. It's a important topic and again, the forum and game has no place for racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia or any kind of lgbtphobia.
We're a diverse team and we welcome everyone. BHVR always strives for inclusivity and diversity.
