The last man of color we got was Adam Francis 3 years ago the only men of color we have are black and asians, why no Indian ,native American ,japanese ,Korean, native islander ...male survivors

Jake is all of those things and more. Why isn’t he fulfilling all of your dreams?
I don't they should be designing characters with their ethnicity being their primary trait. IMO they should come up with interesting concepts for characters, not forcing in boring characters for diversity points.
Adam is a good character not because he is black, but because of his backstory. A selfless orphan who has a passion for teaching others and moved to a foreign land because he was infatuated with their culture.
and whatever Jake is
Korean American.
Yeah, there's a lot of Caucasian dudes, albiet of varying cultural backgrounds. It'd be nice to have some more variety in the boys as well 🙂
The decent human being in me says yes absolutely, the gamer in me says god please not blendette the sequel.
i understand but usually when they have a character with dark skin it looks like they brighten there outfits a little
They do generally now yeah. :P
Yeah wouldn’t hurt to have more representation in the men
I think the main reason for that is that the Devs wanted to catch up with female Survivors. There were quite a lot of female Survivors coming in 2020 (beginning in 2019 with Yui, followed by Zarina, Cheryl and Elodie at the end of the year), which took up spots for Survivors. Now it is equal in terms of male and female Survivors, so I can imagine that now there is a higher Chance of having a male Survivor of color sooner or later.
But yeah, probably the Devs wanted to have an equal distribution between male and female Survivors before going for more males. Would at least make sense IMO.
i thought that might be the reason, but i still thought i would make a post anyways to start a conversation
Detective Tapp meets about once every 50 games, Adam is a little more often and Jake is also a rather rare character. Introduce another similar character so that no one plays for him?
But of course I could be wrong, I am only describing the situation on the European server.
How will it improve overall gameplay?
You forgot about Jane and Nancy :(
“And whatever Jake is”
DO NOT disrespect my KPOP king like that.
5 out of 12 male characters are licensed, for the female characters only 3 out of 12 are licensed so I think the Devs had less creative freedom with the male characters.
why does it have to improve gameplay to have a character that look like yourself
i said that because i thought he was native or Asian didnt really know what one
true
I mainly went for 2020, because there were more female Characters than male Characters, even tho, this is the same for 2019. But 2020 felt like they really wanted to catch up on female Survivors.
A mod actually deleted the MLP guy someone posted haha.
i guess since it was kinda making fun of someone
Custom characters would be cool with a skin tone shade slider. But do we really want Blendette Kates, Megs, Dweights, Davids and Neas?
no i dont think there should be a costume character i love that each character has there lore and that they all look and act diffrent, no need for like character customization other than charms and cosmetics
It doesn’t.
not every discussion on the forums has to be about that.
How about we just quit promoting cultural Marxism? Be happy with what you have. You want equality, but you only want it when it's convenient for you.
Come again?
cultural Marxism isn't that the far-right anti-Semitic conspiracy theory? what does that have to do with this
Can we have a fat male survivor?
we got are beefy boi jeff
Hes not chunky enough
i don't think we could get any chunkier , otherwise idk if it would fit into dbd
We can easily get chunkier
Clown doesn't fit in dbd?
well clown is god so of course he can break the rules
how i this bait, i was generally wanting to have a conversation
Look it's a character is a game which people only play because of there perks and ability to camouflage. Let's stop bringing race into it because in reality it doesn't matter it's a video game not a political movement.
How do you avoid race when your characters are human beings? And why is a character being black or not "political"?
It’s just a joke, I know it’s not really bait. All the comments are like: Oh yeah! We need MORE MEN!!
it does matter tho, why wouldnt people want character that look like them, and no i don't think people play these characters just to camouflage
Hello? Are you ok? You're in 2021, I think you hit your head?!
i see this all the time! this post is not political i would just like more men that arent just white or black , especially since the last male poc we got was 3 years ago
I play Claudette because it's harder to see her, my friend plays Claudette for the same reason (except when he wears the most vibrant clothes taking the mick) I mean I wouldn't touch a survivor who had a rainbow coat on and glowing pants with a 50 foot stick. Honestly it's just a game and you can play survivors for whatever reason you want but obviously if your in it to win and your not good at looping killer then play a character that can camouflage well such as Claudette.
sorry i misspoke when i said that i meant that not the only reason play some characters because some do
I'm not making a thread about it, I don't care nearly enough and neither should you if you want to live with decent values
I don't care about it, no. I'm just saying that those people are always obsessing over identity politics.
Don't worry, nothing will ever come close the the majesty of Claudettes. We are the pinnacle of character design.
Because these days when people play games, watch TV and read comics they are always for some reason thinking about identity politics when we all know any form of media that gets woke goes broke. I mean Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, Marvel & DC are all examples of things that put identity politics before making their movies, shows or comics actually good. I suppose it's fear of being cancelled but let's be honest people that are a part of cancel culture on twitter are extremely sad, lonely & bored individuals who have nothing better to do other than attack people thinking they are doing a justice when they aren't. I mean in reality cancel culture does nothing but make people sit there and laugh at the people cancelling others. Rick And Morty, Chris Pratt, Dominos, Attack on Titan are all examples of things that were cancelled for no reason and afterwards after the sane individuals had sat and laughed everything went back to normal.
Claudette is my favorite character, im glad there making her a little less blendy with slightly brighter outfits
I mean, to be fair, half of them are licensed. Felix is literally the first OG male survivor since Jeff.
Mostly it's only new players that do that (Well and players that have loads of money to burn and buy all customisable options for their characters) I mean when I started I played Ace Visconti and his perks are terrible but I played him because he looked good.
yeah i know that a little bit of the reason, there probs also trying to even 50/50 Male/Female survivors but its just something i noticed
