The DC penalty starts small for those kind of reasons, so if anything is going on, you can try to figure out how to fix it, e.g. you can use this sub-forum to figure out any possible technical related issues: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues
The DC penalty cannot tell the difference between lost connection or someone intentionally pulling the plug - so a DC is treated like a DC, no matter the circumstances. This is most common with DC penalties, as you can easily fake a crash easily.

Hey, can you please post them here in the German section?: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/de/categories/fehlermeldungen
That way I can get around to it easier to look into it and forward it :)

Considering it already went into dangerous territory of breaking our rules with a few comments, I'm locking this down as the Forum is not the right place to discuss drama like this here. Please be mindful of our rules and be respectful towards content creators.

It's honestly just a pure and blatant exploit. It's very unsportsmanlike and to be body blocked by survivors is not even fair for the killer. The strategy for survivors is to NOT get caught and to figure out how to unhook and survive. But preventing the gameplay of the killer by exploiting the inability to move when someone is in front of you, even when you can't see them just puts the favor in the hands of the survivor and that's not acceptable. The survivor is struggling. It's not really a kneejerk reaction to stop and look all around for the crouching survivor that is blocking your path, not to mention every swing you take decreases the time the survivor needs to struggle. This seriously needs to be addressed.
Just to jump in here quickly: It is not an exploit and this kind of bodyblock is not bannable (it is listed as a non bannable offense). Bodyblocking the Killer on their way to the hook is a viable strategy. Just like camping is. The killer also can walk in front of a survivor in an attempt to block them from leaving the gate. You have the option to hit survivors or drop the one your shoulder to go after the others. It is not an exploit. There are also perks which work really well in situations like this, e.g. Starstruck.

You get verified after you get 100 posts, but until then, if you edit something, it basically goes into a spam filter. Let me take a peek and I will approve your post in question. It usually goes to the filter and it needs to be manually approved.
Edit: Found and approved it!

I got "D's" in basic English for this exact reason. You say one thing then demand another. Right there I agree you state not "BANNABLE OFFENCES" but then state "GRIEF" and describe bannable offences. How can you say not bannable then describe bannable and then dismiss it? Your logics is flawed.
I'm locking this as it keeps going back and forth, but MandyTalk has described it perfectly.
Tunneling is listed as a non bannable offense as it isn't one. If you tunnel people in one game, you most likely tunnel multiple people or maybe for this one game one person.
However, the griefing part refers to repeated and targeted harassment. Those are NOT just tunneling. This is the sentence in the rules:
- Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience
Two keywords: Targeting and repeatedly. It's when you intentionally ruin the experience for one user only and only them, repeatedly. Not just once. Not just twice, but multiple times.
It is very clear that tunneling itself is not bannable, but griefing someone and repeatedly targeting them to ruin their game experience each time you face them, that is clearly bannable.

Please know Farming is not something we wish to promote and there are a lot of survivors who don't want to farm. Many people queue up to play the game normally and there is always the silver lining that someone ends up being forced to farm throughout several means and it ruins their game experience. Please be very careful with this as it is a grey area and if someone doesn't want to farm, please play the game normally.

At the request of this not being discussed anymore, it's being locked.

The thread has been answered now a few times how it'd be pronounced correctly if you wish to do so. People provided videos how to say it too. This thread has derailed a bit and keeps going back and forth, so it's being locked.

Hey, please make a support ticket here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=191366
-
- There is already a system in place where you get timed out and it keeps stacking the more you DC.
- You can't get banned for those things you listed, as you can see here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
- I highly suggest you to maybe not use possible rule breaking words. If you are not, then you have nothing to worry about.
- Names relate to the platform you play on, so if you have a Steam rule breaking name and you get reported to Steam, Steam might take action, but it does not relate to us generally.
For the fifth point, I'm answering it like this. We don't know what the auto-ban system has in store yet, it has not been announced properly aside from the stream announcement - speculating on what it might or might not do; I can see why, but it can also mean a lot of possible stress for users for something that might be completely different than expected.
I can reassure you however though, you won't be banned for playing the games within the game rules, even with a auto-ban system in place. Just stick to the game rules and you'll be fine, there is nothing you have to be afraid of then. It doesn't matter which kind of system we might we have in the future, if you don't break game rules, you won't get banned. If you break the game rules, you will be banned.
Also to clear something up: Please don't report for disconnects. They get timed out. There is no need to report them.

Hypotaticly if there were only 5 people playing the game in the world and the guy who always plays killer would camp and tunnel everyone every game should he get banned for it because he is doing it to the same people? I guess you dont understand my point:
If I play the game I dont want to remember every survivor I played with for ever! when by chance I play 20 games and in those 20 I play against one guy 5 times and then by chance I would decide its the best tactic right now to tunnel one person to get a 1v3 I dont want to get banned because of it! As long as its ingame and with legal means a player should not be banned for playstyle period.
Everything that is ingame by design is allowed and should not be bannable. If someone says in post game chat that he done it on purpose to the same person then its a different case.
If you play within the game rules, you are safe. Please know those things are properly checked and it requires a bit more than just 5 matches. There have been and still are people who will go out of their way to only go after 1 person, because of one thing that happened. This can ruin the match for someone. The scenario you describe is more or less that you would end up tunneling everyone, not only this one person each time. It does not relate to a playstyle at all.
If in 20 rounds one player keeps meeting the same killer and the killer only ever tunnels them (and I mean it, only them, they never tunnel anyone else) to remove them out of the game immediately, ignoring everyone else trying to get their attention, ignoring gens being worked on, the intention is very clear if they don't do this with anyone else. Every time and it only happens to this one person, the other survivors are fine and don't get tunneled like this. What you are describing is different from this. This needs to be reported each time too and with concrete evidence.
This is why it's repeated and targeted harassment that is bannable. However, if you have feedback on in game rules, your place to give feedback about it would be support.
Since this is going back and forth and gone off topic a few times, I'm locking this. You won't be banned for simply playing the game, this includes tunneling someone. If you tunnel someone in one round for the sake of tunneling, that's fine, even if they have a certain charm on or play a certain character. However, if it's admitted in end-game chat it was due to specific reasons, such as the player wearing a pride charm or playing a certain character, than can possibly be bannable, depending on what is said. Please read the game rules: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Maybe:
but if you are REPEATEDLY targeting and harassing someone to ruin their game (over the course of several matches), that could possibly lead to punishment after being reviewed by the ACMs. This is how it has always been done, nothing has changed in the rules
is just a bad game design at your end (Devs end)?! I think that nothing exept of cheating or exploits/bug-using is a bannable offense. And if for some unfortunaty luck someone gets tunneld 5 times in 5 games by the same killer its just gameplay.
This has no relation to game design. If a killer goes out of their way to tunnel the same person each match they face them and only ruin the game for them, that's the choice of the person who plays killer. At some point it is clearly intentional when they decide to do it and play the game normally with the others. This always has been bannable as it is repeated harassment.

You can try to appeal your ban here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000836752
Otherwise, if your internet is not okay right now, I highly advise to wait until it's fixed.
-
There is no definitive answer except for use at your own risk - if EAC bans you for it, there is nothing we can do for you.
-
Just as a quick pop in, this is always appreciated, but let's not start a heated discussion here. You are free to feel however you want; if you got any critical feedback on the moderation team in general, more or less about we handle things overall, you are free to contact support about it: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

If you suspect a bug, please report it here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs Make sure to check first if it already has been reported and if yes, you can upvote the post.

Myers, he was also the first killer I ever played.
-
For Survivor Perks:
- Alert: I'm a very alert person and somewhat paranoid, so noises in the flat immediately put me on alert at certain times. Yes, I still manage to run against doors somehow...
- Empathy: I'm a highly emphatic person. I feel like, it also could fit Solidarity and Bond here.
- Bite the Bullet/Enduring: I tend to stay quiet and "sleep off" pain when I can or I just continue doing what I'm doing.
- Head on: I'm very stubborn.
For Killer perks:
- Shadowborn: Migraines.
- I'm All Ears: I'm a good listener.
- Hex: Huntress Lullaby: I like to listen to music when I fall asleep.
-
If they do this in the game, e.g. insult in the endgame chat, that is already bannable and always has been. If it's in-game that is. However, if you are talking about how they act on stream - that has no connection to us and we would be overstepping a line banning people for how they are on stream. If you feel like a streamer is breaking the rules on their platform they stream on, report them on it. We're not a magic higher power that can forbid people on stream to curse or do other things that are exclusive on their stream and it'd be overstepping a boundary - we only act within the game rules.
-
I'll message you.
-
Please keep threads on topic, thank you! I had to delete a lot of off topic comments.
-
Hey, please contact the platform you're playing on about this - there is nothing we can do as our support only handles things related to this game. As this happened on Playstation, please contact Sony's support for this.
-
Please be respectful and kind to each other. Attacking each other is not okay. Please keep in mind, we also do not permit any kind of discriminatory comments, at all. We welcome people for who they are with welcome arms.
-
This is another reminder to please discuss things respectfully. Please avoid attacking others. We also do not allow kind of discriminatory behavior here at all and we're welcome to everyone. Someone's identity is not political in any shape or form.

Have you considered making the anniversary streams subscriber only (or whatever it's called), similar to Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ)? The stream chat for those events was also absolutely awful until they made it subscriber only.
The stream chat is too fast to have any kind of discussion anyway so it might not be a huge loss if the number of people who use it is limited to subscribers only.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy the streams which would not be possible if it was subscriber only. The twitch channel also does not offer any kind of subscription at all.
-
Those that left unsavory comments that were rule breaking, they were taken care of. We do not tolerate any kind of behavior that's demeaning, insulting, etc. to people/a group of people. Obviously, it is hard and nearly impossible to stop people from saying those things, but if they decided to do so, they receive consequences for it. I'm sorry if this has ruined the experience for some of people attending though, the Stream was great and effort was put into it - we're all a big community, this includes many people from different walks of lives.
I know the stream might have not been for everyone the right thing, which is perfectly fine, if you didn't like it, you didn't like! However, it is important that it doesn't grant anyone the right to insult people on the screen, no matter for what. You're free to not be a fan of streams presented, just be respectful and civil about it! I hope for the future that people will be more respectful in this regard.
-
The limit is most likely there, due to the amount of reports and tickets people put in. Another option is to upload it on YouTube as unlisted. Keep in mind there are many people reporting always.
I can understand it can be annoying and lengthy having to provide the evidence, but right now there is no way to have a replay function, so it is needed users provide evidence when it's needed. Please know however, feedback is taken forwarded and I understand that it can be a lengthy process.
-
Let's keep it respectful and civil here or the thread will have to be closed. No need to throw insults and attack other people.
-
I recommend you making a ticket with the support to report this. That's your best waypoint to go to: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=191446
They'll take it from there.
-
Please report bugs and issues here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
Like Kanahaarksel says, a gamepad issue has been reported and acknowledged already. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/250787/mouse-and-gamepad-bugs-have-not-been-fixed If it fits what you are experiencing, upvote the post, if not, report it as a new thread.
-
Let's not wish for people to loose their jobs, just as a quick side remark - that's never okay to do! Keep it civil, but no need to do that.
-
I'm with you on those two, they're my faves, but I also really love the Doctors and Feng one.
Also Tricksters trailer.
-
I can definitely see the confusion this might have caused. Feedback about this has been passed onto the team after it was initially raised by some people that there was some confusion about the rifts skin.
-
If you in any shape or form believe at some point that someone has said anything that could be a bannable offense, you can still report them - if it makes sense in the context being used that it might be something rule breaking... You can still report them. The team still can see the words that were said.
Feedback about the chat filter is being heard and it does get regularly updated to be less strict about certain terms, also when it's context about the game. There can be some mishaps still, but it is being adjusted.

This is only available to people that are developers and moderators. It cannot be obtained under normal circumstances. On the back it says "Crew."

Okaaay, so after cleaning up a bit... I highly advise remaining respectful, that goes to everyone. People can think what they want, they are free to have different opinions. You don't have to agree, that is fine, but don't attack each other.
-
Hey, vielleicht einmal hier probieren, nur es müsste in Englisch sein: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues Da kann jemand eventuell weiter helfen.
-
This would be working with the killer, which is a bannable offense: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules You can read here for more.
Please report them in the game and send additional evidence to support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
-
Hey! For feedback on DBD Mobile, please go here, as this Forum is for the Core game: https://discord.gg/dbdmobile
-
If you believe you've encountered a bug, please report it in the appropriate sub-forum: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
-
I just want to drop in with a big reminder for everyone to be respectful after quite a few comments had to be deleted from all sides. You can discuss things respectfully without attacking and insulting anyone, thank you.
-
This is one is hard to tell, because if they were actively hooking people, even if it took some time, it would technically still be playing the game, even if it was extremely long - there are ways such as kicking or kidnapping Victor basically and she does lose her collision after a while. That would still be playing the game, even if extremely long. It's hard to tell, some information is a bit linking. I think the best advice I can give is to report it and if you have video evidence, which would be needed, please send it to support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
-
Please make sure first and foremost what you are reporting is also covered here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules There are certain things that get reported which aren't bannable in the first place. Secondly, check the offenses and see if they ask for video evidence - it is listed under there, as some require it.
Reports are looked at, please keep in mind there are a lot of people reporting daily, as there are many people playing the game. So please be patient if you report someone and like others have pointed out, if a temporary ban was given out, it does not show up on someone's profile. Only permanent bans do.
-
Anything like that is a use at your own risk. If EAC bans you for using a program, there is nothing we can do for you.
-
If you want to attempt to appeal your DC penalty, you are free to do so here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000836752
Please keep in mind though, connection and your specs are also your responsibility to take care of. The game has minimum specs for a reason, that goes for the internet too, in which they ask for a Broadband Internet connection.
-
This should be posted in bugs, as it sounds like a bug: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs Please check first with the search bar if it wasn't reported before, but otherwise, you are free to post one. Posting it there might help and not everything gets always reported, so if you encounter a bug, please go to the appropriate sub-forum for it.
-
-
If they are working with the killer to kill you, that is considered working with the opposite Team to gain an advantage which is against the rules.
It requires video evidence though, so if you encounter this, make sure to record it and send it to support.
