Brilliant, let me convert my cult of Dwight to the cult of No_Mither_No_Problem!

It's Vday! Anyone got any new spicy lines?

My favorite role to play in any game is support/healer/team player, so there's not much that can be changed about killers to make me play more. I get more enjoyment from helping than hunting, even if I still play a lot of killer
-
This idea seems ridiculous to me. There's no reason other than "I want that" and that's honestly not good enough for me.
-
There are honestly so many things that they have changed that I love! The shop was certainly a welcome improvement, as was the community manager position. Making hooks regen, unique events, adding in exhaustion, the upcoming dedicated servers, the roadmap etc. The list goes on, some are huge things and some are small details that improved the game drastically.

Anyone else? I'm down to see more views

1M bp gets me to 35 every time on survivor.
This game certainly does have quite a grind to it. Once I got all characters to level 50 it didn't feel like such a drag though, since I prestige one or two at a time. Sinking bp into P3 characters is more like an end game goal for me tbh, so I'm not too worried about it. Part of the fun for me is being forced to try new builds based on the limitations of what perks rng has bestowed on you.
That being said, it definately feels harsh for those that are more casual players and/or don't play as often. My friend for example plays maybe 8 hours every 1-2 weeks and tends to feel like the game has a grind that's too slow. For me, I'm just glad I still have things to unlock and work towards.
I do understand what you mean though, it costs a lot to fully max any character and unlocking all perks. Especially since they add two characters every three months. -
I wasn't including Huntress's since you find out if it's there at the same time as ruin. I wasn't including Thrill because I normally do a dull totem before hopping on a gen. You don't know about DH until it's too late normallyEntità said:@FoggyDownpour said:

Part of the fun is trying to figure out which hex was cleansed and generally guessing which other perks the killer has.Just as an example, I find it exciting and intimidating when I only knew ruin was there and a hex is cleansed, but then the hex symbol remains. I tend to try and figure out which hex it could have been, which would typically leave Devour Hope or the Third Seal. A DH build is usually far different than a TS build.
I know you're talking about the hex symbol stacking for multiple hexes being marked, but I feel like that's part of the fun. Guess and check if you will.As for the perk rarity, it drives me crazy that they still only have three. Iirc, they changed it to three due to the web being somewhat broken and being more likely to give rarer perks than lower tier ones. I really want the old colors back, I've always liked them better. It's a lot clearer, more organized, and more rewarding to have more than three tiers.
If there are Thrill of the Hunt, Huntress Lullaby and Ruin, you don't know what hex has been cleansed. Devour Hope gives you the skull for the Exposed status, at least. You receive a specific notice when a hex is triggered, so you should receive a specific notice when a hex is destroyed. I support the idea of a kind of hardcore mode, alternative to the classic one, with no HUD, no Aura, no scratch marks, no stain and no terror radius, but it's quite different from leaving a HUD with partial information.

Even if you don't spook the crows crouching up to the gen, you do spook them while repairing. Every 15 seconds I might add.
Most maps don't really have this problem, but others do. The Institute is especially bad with the crows overlapping the gens, and I think I've had it happen on Haddon and Prenn (original). -

That never stopped the devs from making a church/carnival crossover in Prenn Asylum, which is entirely unrelated to the Nurse or mental institutions. I don't see why they couldn't make a new map based on her lore, but the main problem I have with it is that almost every map had some kind of tragedy related to it, and the uni doesn't so much. That being said, Ormond doesn't have any tragedy related to it either, the Legion merely drove the janitors' body up there to bury it.@KillerRaccoon said:

I agree and I wish I knew the answer. The only thing I can guess is the fps issues, my ps4 account runs between 18-25fps normally and can dip lower than that depending on what's happening. I have the sensitivity cranked and it still feels very very slow.

I love the Sand Bag, Choking Corset, and Bloodied Bone Cutter for Nurse ^^

I think the divide in opinions is mostly your POV.@Mochan said:@ModernFable said:
The system is more an assessment of time played than skillful play. The system increases queue times significantly, and in some cases indefinitely. And in its attempt to find a “balanced” match, it diminishes the connection quality in the process.
This is nonsense. Dead by Daylight has the only community I know of that believes in the mass delusion that Rank does not measure skill. What garbage. This is the kind of mentality a person who thinks he's hot stuff, but actually can't get out of Rank 15, has.
Newsflash: rank measures your ability to consistently perform objectives. If you can't consistently perform objecives, you de-pip. And de-rank eventually.
It absolutely measures your skill. Only the best players who can consistently achieve objectives get to Rank 1.
Stop whining and pretending that Rank does't measure anything, just to keep your fragile ego that you are an actual skilled player, intact. If you are Rank 1 you're good at this game. If you are Rank 15, not so good.
And for the record, I am Rank 15. I accept this and realize I have a long way to go.
The bottom line is that:
Rank= consistency to contribute at least a bare amount to your team.
Rank does not equal pure skill, though skill will certainly help you contribute consistently.
People who are normally between R20-8 feel that there is a goal to achieve and an amount of skill to work towards. There's a goal other than blood points and leveling, something to look forward to in the mundane grind. Ranking up is a sign of consistently doing well enough, rather than occasionally being lucky or being in the right place at the right time.
People who regularly sit between R5-1 have reached the highest 'skill achievement' of the game. These ranks feel over crowded and stagnant, so naturally, people who sit here call for changes. In terms of ranking, a good rank 1 that pretty much carries their team looks no different than a rank 1 that barely does enough to stay pipped. They have achieved the highest goal and want to go further, but there's nothing to reach for other than prestiging characters and general achievements. They are at the same rank as people with far less skill than they have, which can be frustrating for those that are competitive.
For this next part: When I say 'being good at the game', I mean being able to fill any role proficiently. Need to complete gens with ruin active? Np. Need to run the killer for 3 1/2 gens? Sure thing. Need to be a sneaky altruistic medic? Can do. Things like that.
Something I've noticed is that the only thing that you actually need to be okay at to be in the high ranks is running or juking the killer. If you can learn to do that and do it well, you start climbing the ranks rather quickly. Being good at this game is not the same as being R1, R1 means that you do enough and can run the killer consistently enough to stay alive. -

You can still tag people, you just have to do it manually. If those people don't tag me, then they don't need a response. I sub to all the threads I'm interested in watching develope anyways, so I don't really have a problem with it.
-
Never. I really hate it when anyone DCs tbh
-
I love all of the maps tbh
-
The TVs and surveillance cameras on The Game all function, same with the TVs that play torture audio on the Institute. There's the car radio on Haddon as someone else pointed out
-
Most of the people I play with are like that. These friends are usually the ones that don't play killer all that much or they are the types that don't try to learn all sides of things.

Ahahaha so many times! Sometimes I deserve it more than others, but I always just sit back and watch the show

My first ever mori was Mikey, and I had no idea at the time that moris even existed, so it was quite the shock -

Just look up toxic dbd youtube or twitch and see how many results you get its disgraceful. You get it from both sides since very few want to stop propagating the cycle of being a jerk to the losing side. Best to pay em no heed close chat or try and alleviate it but being nice. Who knows you might just make someone's day.
I've seen so many people say ######### things in the end game chat, including people I'm playing with. Over voice they are laughing like it's no big deal, but to me... it's a huge deal. People should never talk like that, it goes beyond jokes and playful trash talking. Those people that do that immediately get the boot off my friends list or a stiff message from me telling them to quit. No one deserves that crap. Being nice makes a difference and I won't play with people that are toxic in the chat. If they don't have respect for the human on the other end, then they have no respect from me. -
You don't need a cheating program to do that, all you need is a rubber band around the trigger and enough attention to look at the screen once in a while to see when the match is over and you need to find a new lobby.

Empathy, Kindred, Calm Spirit, and Ace in the Hole are some of my favorite underrated perks ^^

I totally know what you mean. What about Minecraft or 7 days to die? You can play online with both and you can play on peaceful modes with both. I found it hard to find good servers for MC and I play 7DtD with no enemies usually. I really enjoy both of those when I need a calmer game or one that I can generally play by myself or with others.JammyJewels said:
I am a Console Pheasant, my dear. Tried Heroes of the Storm... and kept destroying teams with my friend. I played Warframe for a while until I got Trinity Prime and Oberon (healers, which is my go-to role in any game) and then... I knew no one else who played it, so I never had anyone who actually wanted me to play the game with them. Killing Floor was fun but it became too repetitive and WoW, I’ve never touched.
I would most definitely enjoy this game more with friends. But when all of your friends move on to Fortnite and Red Dead Redemption is unplayable because every 20 seconds you’re back at the deceased screen again... it is disheartening.
Perhaps I should play Civilisation like Matthieu once recommended. I just feel disheartened to a point where all games are unappealing, and where I’d rather slide into threads and just talk. Hell, if that VR chat was on PS4 I would make my avatar a tiny anime girl and yell like a drunk fully grown Scottish man for the laughs.

They said that they MIGHT make them available for shards in the distant future for a short time, but they will only be available for cells otherwise.

The only time you should ever DC is when you have something in real life going on or you are stuck and the killer/survivors can't help you.
End of story.
Rage quitting should never be something you do. Can't handle the game and the everything that comes with it? Don't play. I've never understood why people DC, just take it and move on to the next match.
Getting thrashed as killer? Getting tunneled as survivor? Getting camped? Flashlighted with every downed survivor? Just keep playing and move on, a DC won't do you or anyone else any good.
-
Me!! Though I'm dreading the whole 'work against the other side' thing, I'm worried about the toxicity rising
-
I've been having this issue, it's definately a bug. Premo only seems to work some of the time after the Legion update, and it seems spotty against all killers. I made a thread for it a while back in the bug report sub forum.
-
I play a mean trapper on the GameUnnamed_Freak said:I don't know how stupid a survivor must be to put A Meat Plant offering, I mean ain't all killers good on this map with the exception of the Trapper? Like even Freddy, LeatherFace and Legion are viable on this map.
Principally if the killer is using a Hex totem.
I get just as many snapple trappins on The Game as most other maps. You just gave to be creative and learn to use the lighting and natural textures to your advantage. I also love this map as survivor, it's still one of my favs
-
I have a friend that also has this problem. They can't play the game in it's current state, which is saddening

There's also premonition, but once it activates, it's in a cooldown and useless to you. I have to wear headphones with DbD since I have a hard time hearing some low pitches, so I use premo to help compensate for that. -
I also want the ability to do an offering search. Want to use a party streamer? Just select it and it will tell you who had one and how many they have. It would be much easier than going through every survivor one by one
-
From a survivor stand point:
I hated the 30 second hook timer. If you were on the other side of the map from where someone got hooked, you had to immediately start running in order to have a chance at getting to them before the next stage progressed. There wasn't any time to have a strategy, and the killer camped more often than not since it didn't take nearly as long for the survivor to die. That 15 extra seconds per stage made a world of difference and reckless altruism wasn't as rampant after it got added on.
From a killer standpoint:
The extra time makes the game a bit more drawn out and gives me more points in the end. Survivors aren't always the smartest and often need that extra time to go for the save. I would rather have more hooks and unhooks than a quick 4k that nets me almost nothing.
Overall pov:
Don't revert the hook timers -
@KingB
It helps you cut people off at certain places. Survivor going up a staircase? Blink to to the other side of the pallet that's usually set at the top. Survivor dropping to the bathroom? Blink down to block the door and make sure the can't escape. Hear a gen being boldly worked on on the floor above you? Surprise grab. That's mainly the kind of thing I'm talking about. -
It's because she can so easily do floor changes. She doesn't need to find holes in the floor or stair cases like other killers do
-
I need to play a few more matches to get a good feel for it, but I almost always preferred the upper hook to the basement one. There isn't much point to going down there for me, it wastes a lot of time and I don't run perks like Monstrous Shrine.
-
@Kaelum
Yes,but I didn't realize you were thinking for that long. Gen regression for 30-60 seconds feels far too long without another objective available
@Entità
I don't think it would be too cumbersome, what would you suggest?
(Also, why does the forum put quotes around your name?? I've never seen it do that before O.o) -
@Kaelum
This is actually an interesting idea. It reminds me a bit of ruin, you can still complete gens with it still up, but it takes longer/is harder to do.
It seems a bit difficult to get it running effectively though, as multiple gens can be completed at one time. You could just complete one ritual and then have everyone doing individual gens and gain the benefit for all of those instead of the intended '1 ritual = 1 gen'. Even with the suggested pause in all gen progress after gen completion, the benefits to doing several gens on 1 ritual would still be quite clear.
What if there was a bit of a detection system for the killer built in? Like if the ritual was cleansed then the gen with the furthest progression would have a highlighted aura color for the duration of the pause of gen progress. It's sort of like a selective Tinkerer and helps against rushing gens. I could see a lot of fun counter play with this and ways to fake out a killer. -
Yes please! I was just taking about this last night with my hubby, it's annoying not to be able to try things together
-
Yes please!! This has irritated me for years
what's the point of the chat box when you can't see it?
-
I'm honestly a bit torn on this. I agree that is easy to tunnel those survivors in T3 madness, but it's ultimately up to the player. It's at least a bit similar to saying 'LF's power encourages camping'. It's not necessarily a problem with the power, but more of an issue with how someone chooses to use it.
That being said, I do agree in general that there could be better ways to deal with it, but I also can't deny that Doc would be much weaker than he is now without it. It would need some readjusting and balancing as opposed to a flat out removal. I personally use T3 unhooks as a way to keep an eye on them and watch where they go on the map while I chase others. I hate tunneling when is done to me and I won't do it to others. -
BNP was only worth using previously, I'd really rather it be removed entirely.
-
I would love them to stick around, especially if they replaced flashlights partially
-
I think she looks amazing and she always has! My friend and I were doing a KYF cool down and she took a couple nice screen shots ^^

-
You must be new here. For a long time the hooks would stay sabotaged for the entire game, and there were tons of problems that happened because of it. If you sabo every hook, there's nowhere to hook you when you eventually go down. Even iron grasp can't get you to the basement from every corner of the map. A lot of matches used to end in 4 man slugging and no one wants to crawl around the map while waiting to bleed out.
They added in auto repair to help with the sabo squads that would take the game hostage. It got to the point where killers would dodge any lobby with a toolbox, regardless of the fact that most of those people were probably intending to use them for gen repair. Some of the anger and salt in the post game chat was... really really bad. Toolboxes and Jakes were not in a great spot. Use either one and you could nearly guarantee that you would be face camped, which actually did prevent you from getting saved at that time due to no hook turning for saves. If you didn't get face camped, it was likely you would get tunneled.
So, you can understand why a lot of people might not like this idea, it's got a lot of bad memories and feelings that come from experience. Nothing good came from it and no perk should be mandatory in order to win a game, so saying 'they can just use hangman's or IG' doesn't sit well with a lot of people. -
It's not good on the survivor end though. I liked it better when I had a hard time seeing in the dream realm, it made being in there feel more disorienting and dangerous. Now I feel like I can see with almost no issues, which helps me find my way around the map and plan out the places I'm running to during a chase.
