Apparently they haven't been released yet. Last I heard, they were due to go out December 5 but have been delayed due to bug fixes.
I guess I missed that part in the patchnotes.
Big oof on my part, thank you for the clarification.
@SteelDragon Nevermind about that part Steel, it isn't released YET! But the rest of the stuff I said still stands...

Yeah, I've seen two other reworks that do something like that well.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/110567/legion-power-rework-idea#latest
I mean it would be interesting to use the other members of the legion gang in-game!
But it seems too ambitious or gimmicky when not adding in a sort of boost... if it has no benefit in-game than it's just a wardrobe change if anything...
They'd also have to change Joeys posture, since he's basically Frank in-game except for the cosmetics that're exclusive to him. It would be cool if Joey had the same posture that 5th member of the Legion does... I mean GhostFace!
(That last part was clearly a joke...)

Feral Frenzy:
130% speed And vaults pallets and windows at 0.9s
When activating FF you can still see scratch marks and blood pools.
Using a basic attack does NOT drain the power gauge.
After missing a swing will cause a 3s stun.
Manually ending FF will give a 2.75s stun
No longer applies Deep Wound.
Applies Blindness and hemorrhage for 80s
Secondary Power:
Holding the secondary power button will reveal the aura of lockers within 32m. Releasing the button will cause The legion to disappear in a cloud of black smoke which takes 2s to complete, and cannot be canceled. The selected locker will also emit small amounts of black smoke for 2s. After the animation is complete, a different and random member of the legion will sprint out of the locker. They have undetectable for 6s. The legion can attack immediately after the locker sprint animation has ended, which takes 0.5s
If this power is used in Feral Frenzy, the new legion member is also in the FF state, and the timer is refreshed. In addition, all survivors within 32 meters is revealed via killer instinct for 5s.
This ability has a cooldown of 30s.
You've done this 8911 times before?
Also, I don't agree with the scratch marks part... and the blindness and hemorrhaging side effect is kind of... niche... I wouldn't use that in a Killers primary power, it's more so an add-on thing.
I'm indifferent about the rest of the post except for the secondary power effect... that seems gimmicky/ambitious... I'd add a sort of boost or something to it, not a massive one though.
I like the concept of bringing in the other members of the legion though, that sounds cool.

The thing is I can wait. I don't mind. I'd like to start playing right away just because new computer, but if I have to wait it won't bother me. I'm not a huge PC gamer, I'm mainly getting a new PC for video processing (because my current setup is having heating/processor issues and I can't edit videos without crashing anymore). I doubt I will entirely convert to playing on PC. Maybe some games I'll pick up on Steam, but for the most part I will remain an Xbox gamer for a while.
If that's the case than I wouldn't worry about it...
Like I said, it most likely will just choose between the accounts and NOT merge them... since I've never seen any other Cross-Platform games do that...
If you can wait and they add Cross-Platform to console (which they seem to be on route to but it isn't a 100% confirmation) than i'd just wait until it happens...
-
I'm gonna just steal this entire comment @Fibijean made and just say I made it (Obviously joking).
Here's fibijeans quote on this exact answer
Currently, if a player disconnects from a certain proportion of the matches they play (I'm not sure of the exact number but I think it's something pretty high, like 75%), they receive an escalating ban penalty. This is the case for all platforms. The penalty starts at a one week ban, and will escalate to two weeks, then 4 weeks, then permanent, with repeat offences.
However, this system is about to be overthrown in favour of a new system. The new system is PC-only, as it is reliant on the dedicated servers to work. As far as I'm aware, we haven't been given any specific numbers for the DC penalties under the new system. This is all the information we've really been given officially (from the June/July Dev Update):
"This new system will feature a growing “lock-out” timer for each time a player disconnects from a match, preventing them from re-queuing until their timer expires. Survive With Friends groups including a player who is currently locked-out will be unable to queue until the lock-out timers for all Survivors in the lobby have expired. The length of the timer gradually decreases so long as the player does not disconnect from additional matches."
Source: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/73858/
The system is planned to go live later today, so hopefully we will receive more information about exactly how it works when that happens.
anyways...
@Fibijean Made this, not me. 100% of the credit goes to her, It's just easier if I use this to answer your question... since it's already written up and I would just be saying the same things but a bit different.
As for "how long is each DC PENALTY"
I can't give you a 100% accurate depiction of how much time is added to each DC... unless I were to test it myself and... I'm not gonna do that lmao.
Unless someone from BHVR gives an exact amount on each new DC... than we don't know. They most likely won't do that so people will not abuse how long they can DC for and see what's "acceptable" to get away with or something.

@thesuicidefox said:
@FireHazard Well what concerns me is that any cross platform progress might be limited to NEW accounts. In other words if I have an active account on Xbox and an active account on Steam, they wouldn't be able to combine them, so instead of having a single DBD account I'm stuck with 2 accounts on 2 platforms.
I hope that whatever system they come up with allows for you to combine accounts, so that progress on both counts all together. If one overwrites the other that would be acceptable too, but in that case I'd be scared of getting reset basically.
I just want to know if this is something they are considering as they move forward with any cross platform anything. Because if necessary I will wait to buy the game on Steam.
I think it most likely can go back and forth from each one, but to combine them both... I've never seen that done before tbh.
As a matter of fact, I don't think any Cross-Platform games have done this before... or if they even can for that matter.
If it does happen, they would most likely have you confirm a whole bunch to just be 100% sure you're converting to the right save file for both platforms... OR you can just choose between the two since BHVRs systems count them as two separate accounts, it wouldn't erase the other.
That's most likely what they'll do, it'll allow you to choose between the two accounts but not actually merge them... since again, I've never see that happen on any cross-platform game.
-
What secret Identity?
-
-
Unless an official statement is made, than that's unknown.
If it does happen, than you can 100% do this without fear of your progression being a "waste of time" or something along those lines.
If they're doing cross-platform with Windows and Steam, than I have no doubt that Cross-Progression will be also added in as well... since if it wasn't than that wouldn't really make it "Cross-Platform" except for like... play with other player from different versions.
I can @Peanits to see if he'll give you some information on this, but otherwise I don't know. I can't give you a 100% confirmation on if Cross-Platform and Cross-Progression will come to console and PC.
The signs are there of course, but that doesn't mean it's a 100% fact.

Sorry, was a bit busy.
Here's the final product of a KYFs match. Every "kick" that Killers do to damage generators and break pallets is the same by the way... so it isn't any faster with Brutal Strength on say... The Wraith or something.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKYjkHKnn6cYour answer is...
Brutal Strength seems to be a bit faster when it comes to the cool-down... I'd say like 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 seconds faster than Shred?
that's about it...
So Brutal Strength beats Shred! But it's only by like almost half a second or a bit more... They could also be the same tbh, but it seems from basic counting that Brutal Strength beats it by like... barely half a second.

No, unless you destroy the pallets yourself than it doesn't count.
The same goes for if Surge counts as damaging generators to that challenge... it doesn't count since the perk itself isn't assigned as "damaging generators" like it is with the Killers normal means of breaking said pallets and generators.
what I mean is
No, it doesn't count. Same with Surge, surge doesn't add to the challenge either.
-
@Peanits might know, but tbh the Killer creation process is devised by the team itself and not just one person.
They usually think of Powers, Add-ons, and perks that go with the Killers theme... So, Killers like the Spirit have a power that correlates to the theme of being a Ghost that can go between each astral plane.
They work off that and give them their powers, add-ons, and perks through testing and several design and gameplay tests in-game.

Im talking about making thisperk a universal perk, not implementing it into base kit. I just forgot the right vocabulary !
Oh, well idk. It would be a nice universal perk, I don't see any issues with that.
-
Nobody ever needed it before... so that's kind of why it wasn't thought about as a base-kit effect. Idk if having Zanshin Tactics in base-kit would be a bit too much...
I can't say that for sure, it would make Spirit very scary if she can have 3 perks with Zanshin Tactics as her base-kit...
-
If you mean a type of "ignore list" that prevents you from being paired with players you don't like... than no... that'll never happen.

generally was not an easy killer to play, but even getting the gist of her playstyle you could get away with more hits than now. Basically its as rewarding as before but to land hits is much more difficult
I like that concept about post-nerf Nurse, but I can see the other issues it brings to beginners or others that're trying to pick her up again or for the first time.
Before it wasn't easy to master her, but now it isn't easier... if that makes sense.

While I agree there is no need to be rude the OP has sort of contradicted themselves. The op itself doesn't say much apart from they want the event skins. They then stated they had earned the event skins and lost them which they were told they will get back by the dev. Then they argue why can't they have them? After being told it numerous time which makes you wonder if the statement about having earned them was true.
I am one who thinks they could just make a way for them to be available on the store so people can purchase them to make all event skins past, present and future consistent. It's not my decision though and I will respect what the devs decide as it up to them at the end of the day.
They give out 14 free skins which they didn't have too and could have profited from but it's still not enough for some and quite frankly I feel its very rude for the player to demand more as to me that shows an ungrateful nature as they don't see what they get just what they don't.
It just sounds like they didn't know the skins were being returned to the original owners... than when they found this out IN THIS THREAD they back tracked to try and get them for everyone or something.
Idk, this entire thread has gone nowhere anyways, it's just asking for skins that are not going to be released now... we were given literally what? 14 free skins? I guess that isn't enough for people... either way, I really don't care if I get those skins or not personally, it isn't gonna turn me into a master at the game or something ha ha.
Skins are just for bragging rights now or fashion, but it seems to have mostly devolved into bragging rights at this point... at least with EVERY game you play that has any exclusive limited time items/skins. To me, limited time items are cool, since I can own a little piece of that games history or something... but others like to turn it into... something less pleasing to hear...

Yes my bad, I'm talking about the Howling Grounds event. Are you SURE they're not connected? If lost Howling Ground cosmetics could be identified and because I lost legacy at the same time I lost the event cosmetics, I feel like lost legacy cosmetics should be able to be identified in this time period too.
I would really appreciate an official response if possible.
They're not, if they were than Peanits would've mentioned it and Legacy would most likely be in the works for a mass return as well.
But they're not, the Howling Grounds Event came out much later than the Legacy time frame "event." The Legacy deadline was November 24th 2016, in 2016 a lot of things were quite buggy and glitchy... so it's not a surprise that the save data for those skins are quite hard to find in the code.
Or something like that, basically what i'm saying is no, they're not linked in any way... exclusive skins from 2016 wouldn't be linked with skins from 2018...

Soon...
T R A D E M A R K !
But seriously who knows, maybe you'll get lucky!
-
It really doesn't matter if you have Legacy skins, Lunar Event skins, Summer BBQ skins, or etc...
They're just skins and that's it, in the past I was the same way about them but now I could careless... It's nice to have something exclusive in a game you love yes, it keeps a sort of "time capsule" or history of the game in your inventory that only you and some others have grinded for... You can't go back in time and go get them, so we should just all accept that they're not obtainable anymore... right?
Ultimately, it really doesn't matter. A skin isn't going to improve your gameplay, a skin isn't going to increase your stats, a skin isn't going to prove you're better than others, a skin is just a skin.
Maybe they'll release more exclusive skins in the future despite that being very unlikely... but right now, it doesn't honestly matter.

Please note that the "fire animation" that the Hex totems give off are bugged at the moment... so unless they're glowing orange than it's just a regular unlit totem.
Otherwise, if it's glowing orange or the fire effect actually works in-game than that is a Hex Totem!
-
When they're not moving in the basement, running it walls, not leaving the basement, etc.
That's the only way, there isn't a visual notification or anything like that to tip you off... if their camera is stuck in the void than that's only shown to them and not you or the other Survivors...
Sometimes, the other Survivors can see their aura drop into the bottom of the map, so that sometimes tips the Survivors off that the Survivor that was hooked in the basement is now bugged.
But, sometimes that actually isn't a 100% confirmation either... I've had that happen to me in-game where I saw a Survivor get hooked into the basement and shoot straight under the map (Their aura), but than they just walked out of the basement and they were fine...
Basically your answer is...
Besides them not leaving the basement, running into walls, not moving to proc crows, or DCing right after... than no, there isn't a 100% confirmation on if they were bugged by being hooked in the basement.
So no to a solid confirmation, and maybe to subtle hints...
-
No, not at all.
Skill checks are removed from the equation and are only used to just continue healing... anything like "Great Skill Checks" were removed to not make healing go any faster. That, and the obvious... which is to collect tokens for it.
Otherwise, that's all Skill checks are used for on Autodidact.
Unless...
If you're talking about Self Care than that combo would be extremely strong with self healing builds... that's why it doesn't work with Self Care and ONLY healing others. Same with med-kits, it doesn't work with them to not make the perk extremely OP.
Autodidact only works by itself and that's it, it's just a alternative to healing others without a med-kit... and can be very strong with full stacks.
That's what I mean by "No, not at all" it doesn't have great skill checks and it doesn't work with med-kits and Self Care to keep it from being insanely OP in-game.

I'd say either before the summer of this year or before I haven't played to long. The only reason I really Hopped onto dead by daylight is cause my cousin showed me it and I came across it on the store and I was like ou I'll give this a go I kinda know what I'm doing but yeah, around June or July I started dead by daylight
Cool, I joined through just general awareness of the beta and such back than.
Sadly, I didn't play until much later since I didn't have a PC to play on, just a laptop... and I was mostly a console user at that time still until a few days after 2017 rolled around.
If I did, than I might of played during the beta and 2016! But I guess I forgot about it when I started playing on steam in VERY early 2017. That, and the game wasn't that popular yet... so I guess I didn't hear anything about it again afterwards until some time later.

What Fibijean said, the bug happens a lot less often than people think... and in a lot of games you won't be hooked in the basement that much UNLESS it's a basement specific challenge they're doing for example.
You'll be fine, but if you notice your camera going into the skybox because you were hooked in the basement, than that's why. The issue should be resolved soon since a lot of people have made BHVR aware of it, so don't worry about it too much.
however
If the bug happens to you in-game than there isn't anything you can do about it i'm afraid... you'll eventually get found in there if you just stand still (because of the crows that proc), so... yeah...
Like I said though, its fairly rare, mostly because Killers won't hook people in the basement UNLESS they're literally next to it OR they're doing a challenge for basement hooks.
-
@Endstille said:

Yeah sure i understand but people know, people might not know so due to the challenges people are more likely to go for hooks in the basement arent they? I mean we are on the forums but the majority is not.
If that's the case than they're more inclined to fix the issue...
Either way, there is nothing we can do about the issue honestly... since like you said, the majority doesn't stick around the forums or twitter. Some just play the game and read the news section for info, some might even venture to find an answer to the issue on the forums or twitter.
The bug seems to happen very rarely in some cases, for some people they said it only happened twice or once in like 50 games or something...
So idk, stuff just happens.

@thesuicidefox said:
It is almost completely random. However the web will favor lower rarity perks over higher rarity, and it seems like it will try to give you the same perk until you get all tiers (not 100% sure on this one).
So if a tier 1 perk is yellow rarity, and another tier 1 perk is green rarity, you will more likely see the yellow one. But if it's tier 2 is green, you will more likely see that over the tier 1 green perk.
It gives you that same perk until you either complete it OR the perk just stops showing up all together for a bit or awhile.
It's more likely to show up when you start tier up that specific perk... but sometimes it'll not show up at all for awhile or a bit later.
In the end, the P0 to P3 rarity scale really just depends on better RNG odds @Frank_Sriracha
While one tier is superior to another when it comes to the RNG rates, the change is quite small for some reason, but the rarity of higher tier perks do show up slightly more than others. Either way, RNG honestly dictates what your spawns will be, since a perk like Ruin could show up in the first 3 blood-webs at P3 or it will not show up until about the end of P3-50.
basically what this means is
The odds get better at higher prestige levels, but the change is quite small... and RNG can honestly negate all of that in some cases.
The only difference that seems to show up when you level up from P0 to P3, is that the RNG gets slightly better with each new Prestige and that's it. That doesn't mean a bad RNG streak won't happen, I've had this happen a few times when P3-50ing my 11 Killers that I have now. The only change is that this seems to happen less over each Prestige level (But it can still happen.)

The reapperance thing is sufficent for a counter. The basekit stuff made the "just run in a straight line" believable, no?
The overall power just negated every loop in the game... that's pretty much why a blink cooldown was added.
You'd go around a loop, possible survive... than she'd instantly blink once or twice and you're hit/downed.
I'm not saying the nerf was a perfect fix... but it did eliminate that issue. But yes... it did also make her a lot harder to use.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
Nurse is obviously weaker than before.
- Forced cooldown/ inmobility lowered her base power potential
- Changed blink reappearance timing makes it easier to react to her.
- Her maximum power potential was lowered by the addon changes
- "Creative but bad" addons
- 2 "speed limiter" addons
I dont remember there being a buff in her rework.
Of course there are still people able to do well with this broken bird. And there will always be potatoes as easy kills.
Its just an artificially added difficulty. Remember that she still needs her blinks to normally move. Its not like trapper who has to be strategic about placement, nurse needs her blinks to WALK around the map.
(Try crouching for 1 second for every 3 seconds of running as survivor)
The counter was needed... greatly, but it's definitely not a "noob friendly" change for anyone who wants to try her out.

It's all over the forums, whenever someone makes a topic about it. I assume the confusion happens because people don't know what the word "tome" actually means, similarly to how people mispronounce "colrouphobia" because they don't know the word so to them it's just sounds.
It could also be because nobody says it correctly... so everyone just says it like that.
That, or nobody wants to bother looking up the proper pronounceation, either one...
-

-
If you can get past the nerfs skill gap, than you'll have no issues with Nurse.
Her nerfed version has counter-play UNLIKE the older version. While yes you could argue she had "some counter play" you'd need a lot of experience facing her to know what counters her...
And she didn't appear a lot in Red Ranks anyways, not anymore at least.
BUT! For casuals she's pretty bad... considering the skill gap with her nerf now, but if you can get past it than you're golden.
basically...
In the hands of a novice or decent Nurse from Pre-Nerf... she's really hard to use. In the hands of a pro or someone who got to learn her post-past version... she's still fairly strong.
That's basically what I have to say to that. Casuals, no... experienced users yes.
