I must say there are zero flaws for this killer.Long range,melee attack, reeling camera hijacking, 24 meter terror that doesn't play hes music loud enough.Hes the best killer in the whole game.
Seeing how i'm a complainer noob at this game.I need someones advice for this killer. i just can not tell where he is at all without using spine chill.
He's undoubtedly a lot of fun to play as, quick scoping Survivors is very satisfying and really gives you that FPS vibe, but if you really analyze his power searching for viability, you'll see that he's not close to Nurse for instance.
The Huntress can throw her Hatchets across the entire Map, the Deathslinger's spears' range is capped at 18 meters. He can't do much when being Pallet looped unless he's at a short loop. Even if he manages to spear the looping Survivor, they'll most likely breakout before he gets at Lunge Range. However, he's very good at Window vaults, I must give him that.

i'Ve been playing with spied form the shadow for like 10 games now and i swear i am lucky to have 3 notification per game out of chases, there are no crows for us to use this perk, i noticed in temple or purgation, i saw like 4 crows, give us more crows please
There are a handful of crows on the Map, but most of them spawn at the edge of the Map, hence why Spies from the Shadows is better against stealth Survivors who go there often and doesn't do a lot against more aggressive players.

I am not fully informed on this subject but I know we've finished year 4's roadmap so when can we expect to see the next road map to come out. Or is this also another 'secret' and you guys will just drop it on us suddenly?
The Devs will probably release it with their 4 Year Anniversary Livestream, just like they did last year.

Actually, they aren't general perks on Switch or the MS store. I unlocked Blood Warden on Switch through the shrine and even though I have all other perks on my Dwight, Quentin's perks don't appear.
Maybe they removed the option for them to spawn in the Bloodweb, I'm pretty sure they could spawn in it when the Switch version of the game launched.

Generally, selecting an indoor Map such as Léry's, The Game or Hawkins helps.
- The Gatekeeper Emblem is normally the hardest to get. Ruin, Surveillance and Pop can help.
- Getting the Devout Emblem is all about Hooking Survivors. Slugging doesn't help you get this Emblem. If you hook Survivors 9 times and get a 4k, you're good to go.
- The Malicious Emblem is about hitting and hooking Survivors. If you hit Survivors many times and hook them all three times, you'll get it, especially if they don't heal.
- The Chaser emblem is about hitting and downing Survivors quickly. Playing Killers that can end a Chase fast and have good map control, such as Spirit, Nurse, Freddy and Billy helps a lot. You can also equip Perks such as Enduring, Brutal Strength and Spirit Fury.

I do think they´re aware of the fact that many people think there have been decisions made that aren´t to some people´s liking, yes. Then again, they´re also aware that a lot of people do like them, and that the majority is pleased with the game. There is no point trying to present it as if the whole community (which this forum hardly represents, unfortunately) is hating on the game and that the developers would be too daft to comprehend the game´s issues. Because that´s not the reality of it.
Agreed. They balance the game around the majority of the Community, Survivor players, since it is quite a bit divided on core issues of the game.
That's why Killers get nerfed more often than Survivors. Ruin was nerfed because a lot of new players started playing after the release of the Stranger Things DLC. They were frustrated because of the Ruin Skill Checks and the Devs nerfed it to the ground.

Huh. That'd explain the weird feeling that I get when playing Nurse.
Yeah it's kinda weird to get used to.

@BeHasU said:
Hey, so i play a bit of nurse yesterday after a long time (last time was a few months ago) and when i was lunging for a hit after a blink i couldn't reach more than 1 meter in front of me, the survivor was right in front of me and the hit missed.
It depends on how early you lunge. If you lunge exactly after landing a blink, then the Lunge will be shorter. If you wait a bit before lunging, it will be longer.

The Devs make these changes for a reason. The nerf to Gearhead must have been done for a specific reason that we don't know of. My best guess would be that it was overperfomlng in some scenarios.
I don't agree with them on this nerf, but I don't think Gearhead would have been a meta perk anyway.
I think they do care, because it's much more time-consuming to nerf/buff something than to leave it as it is.

i have just installed the windows edition of the game and the nightmare?quinten dlc doesn't appear in game or in the Microsoft store
Unfortunately, the Nightmare on Elm Street DLC is not yet available in the Microsoft Store and Switch versions of the game due to licensing issues. However, Freddy's und Quentin's perks are still available as general perks (perks every Character can unlock).

Ghostface is a horror classic, even though DBD wasn't able to get the full license. It's very satisfying to have them oblivious survivors working on Gens and then you go and grab them.

You have to take a hit within 10 meters of an injured Survivor. For example, if the Killer is carrying a Survivor to the Hook and you take a hit, the hit will register as a protection hit. Bodyblocking for an injured Survivor also counts as a protection hit.
If a hit is registered as a protection hit, you get the Protection Score Event that's being talked about in the Perk's description.

I do play killer (Wraith and Legion main) and have used Gunslinger a little bit.. I know it doesn't need to be done in order to 4K with Deathslinger. I just had a string of 4 straight matches where every Deathslinger had to resort to proxy camping and running noed just to win.
As I said, it is a coincidence the majority of Killer players doesn't camp. While it is frustrating to have the Killer camp, they have some reasons to do it, such as the fact that Gens get popped very quickly and since the Deathslinger is a low-mobility Killer, he isn't able to apply much map pressure without downing and hooking Survivors. That's why Killers eventually slug and camp, at least on the paper. I do not encourage anyone to do it, but it's a kind of a part of the game.
-
@finitethrills said:
He has no mobility, and a reduced movement speed, so that already makes him prone to occasionally needing or using somewhat less fun tactics. Also, a lot of slinger are going back and trying to peg the unhooked, but it's kinda hard to hit the actual target when the two Survivors are right next to each other.
At 110, it takes him longer to even get away from the hook, and lowers his chances of finding someone else before you're unhooked. If a killer doesn't have someone in his sights when an unhook happens, there's zero reason for him not to go back to where he knows at least 2 Survivors are.
Agreed. Killers wanna try to win as well, and in case a Survivor is unhooked near you and you didn't even have time to go away, going back is the most logical choice even though it might not be fun for the other side.

Not face camping.. Proxy camping. 4 Matches in a row, they've literally just sat within hook radius hiding and waiting for someone to come up just to spear them before they have a chance to unhook. Even had one use noed and hide near the basement of Gideon's waiting for people to run down and make a save.
That is frustrating, but it's unfortunately a playstyle Killers can adopt. I'm pretty sure it's a coincidence though, not all Killer/Deathslinger players are like this, it's quite the opposite really. Camping is not that common.

I play on Xbox and have rarely gone up against a plague. She is probably the rarest killer to against on Xbox. Who is the rarest killer for you?
Legion. In the last 3 months, I feel like I've just played against one Legion.
-
It depends on a lot of factors, such as the Killer's playstyle, your rank, etc. . First of all, "camping" is a tad bit subjective. What do you mean by "camping", facecamping or the Killer being around the Hook?
And no, most Killers don't camp, and his ability isn't bad enough that he must camp in order to win. However, some things like the fast Gen speed do influence the Killer to camp, which I do not encourage in case you're talking about facecamping, since it isn't a fun experience to be facecamped.

It annoys me when I'm just trying to waddle down the stairs and then I "fall" like 2 inches, and my balanced landing procs.
Also annoying when I try to fall down a considerable height and my balanced landing doesn't proc.
BL is a bit buggy at the moment. Since there are quite a few collision issues in the game, such problems can happen quite often. Hopefully the Devs are working on a solution.

The key opened it (which they found in game mind you, how would you like it if you could find moris). Then I closed it. Then it opened again on its own. 2 free escapes.
Yeah, it is kinda frustrating, but the Hatch will always open on itself no matter what. The key is the main problem in this situation, and Keys are unfair in their own ways.

Okay . Then the max amount of bp if i use bbq?
64000 if you get all 4 stacks of BBQ. Each stack grants you one fourth of your total Bloodpoint gains in a given Trial.
There are still some ways to increase your gains even more, such as having multiple people burn the Bloody Party Streamers offering, equipping Add-ons such as Freddy's Kid Drawing, which increase BP gains etc.
-
@Reborn2020 said:
about 50 000?
Without burning any bloodpoint-increasing Offerings or using any Perk that increases Bloodpoint gains, 32000, just like Survivors.
This amount can be greatly increased by burning BP Offerings, using Perks such as BBQ and Chili and even some Power Add-ons.

And about the missing 11 map counts? There are only 89 in your graphs, and you mentioned 100. Were they offerings and therefore not included?
Are we actually sure about "randomness" of maps? When the doc updated all I saw without offerings was Lery's, that's why I'm asking, maybe they move specific maps every now and then to get us to play in them more?
Yeah, it is random. The chances of getting each Map are the same, however, the chances of getting each Realm are not since some Realms have more Maps than others.

I wonder what map is gonna get a rework next. I think a rework on Hawkins national laboratory is needed. What maps do you think need a rework next?
No further Map Reworks have been announced yet, but I'm sure they will be announced on DBD's 4 Year Anniversary when they release the Year 5 Roadmap.
I feel like Backwater Swamp could get reworked, it is overall not the best Realm to play on, unless you're a Blendette, lol.
The God Loop in Grim Pantry's main building is a huge downside for killers and the overall layout of both Maps makes them not that fun to play on for both sides.

Why do people hate Freddy so much? I've been in games as both survivor and killer where Freddy is included in the game, and survivors will either DC (not as common since the penalties but still happens regularly enough) or give up chase and commit hook suicide. According to the stats provided by the Devs (link down below), Freddy is the strongest killer overall, but among ALL ranks, he's not even highly picked. He's not even a hard killer to combat, he's just good at maintaining pressure due to his power. So what's the issue?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/106566/stats-november-2019
At higher ranks, some of his Add-ons probably. There are certain Add-ons that have a huge snowball effect and that are sort of unfun to play against. I guess Survivors don't like taking the risk of some of their Pallets being fake, lol. Anyway, Thanatophobia and his Gen speed Add-ons can create a snowball-effect that is hard to recover from as a Survivor. But they do exaggerate a bit in my opinion.

Oh! That's why! Thanks!
No worries. On the PTB, the new Map is prioritized, but on live servers, there doesn't seem to be a prioritization of the new Map over others. And yes, matches in which Map Offerings were burned were not counted.

I commented that the Red Forest Realm was missing because I didn't have enough space on the chart. I played on both Red Forest Maps combined 11 times.

Yeah I didnt mention them being higher because each of their maps was around 5, so it washed out for actual map appearance and not realm. Still odd that Lerys is that low.
Yeah, I might have gotten unlucky. Since it's random, it is technically possible to get Léry 100 times out of 100 matches. But the Realms with 5 Maps will normally finish in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
-
@Carlosylu said:
What happened to the missing 11 map counts? Interesting map stats btw, have they released probability per map? Do you know if they change it per season? Like, if the cowbow is released they up the prob to get the new map over others?
Thx. It's mostly completely random what Map you'll get unless someone burns a Map Offering. Since new Maps are released every once in a while, these stats might change a little. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to include the new Realm since I started analyzing this data prior to the launch of the new Chapter.
-
@Carpemortum said:
So Lerys, Hawkins, and Springwood are a little low, but the rest seem to be pretty evenly spread.
Yeah, I didn't get Léry's once in the 100 matches. The Realms with more Maps have more matches played in them, but the difference is not dramatic as you pointed out.
-
Also, the new Realm, Grave of Glenvale, was not included due to it having been just released and not being in the game since I started analyzing this data.
-

@Kyxlect said:
If a Survivor D/C's on death hook, do you get cheated out of BP as the Killer? Should you report them for that or do you even need to report for that anymore?
You should normally get the 625 BPs for them DCing through the Quitter Bonus score event. Additionally, if they DC on a Hook, you'll still get the Sacrifice points (500 BPs for hooking them, 200 BPs for them reaching the first hook stage). These should make up for the sacrifice you would have gotten if they didn't DC.
Since they will still get penalized for DCing, there is no need to report them.
-
Since the Ghostface Chapter didn't include a Survivor and a Map, it was kinda simple and seemed a bit incomplete. The fact that his power wasn't really the best on the PTB also didn't help. However, he was the first licensed killer to have skins, so that's nice.

Breakable Walls are different than Pallets. If they did count, it would be possible to eat a Pallet the first time you get looped in a Trial only by breaking the walls. There is also no room for counterplay for that mechanic since Survivors can't interact with breakable walls in any way.

What I can recommend to you from personal experience (I don't know if it'll work for you) is:
- Checking the integrity of your game files.
- Minimizing your graphic settings.
- Re-installing the game in case none of the latter works.
- Seeing if similar issues occur with other games.

That might be frustrating. I don't really know how you can fix it, it's very hard to know without details and without having knowledge of how the game is coded.
As I said, the best I can do for you is advise you to create a thread on the Technical Issues section of the Forums (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues.) There, people with knowledge of how the game is coded and people at BHVR can help you.
