Vigil is one of my favorite perks but i only it with an exhaustion perk and, i rarely use any exhaustion perk. Vigil issue is that the number is a bit weak and there's also the fact that most status effect are permanent until an action is complete (third seal , sloppy butcher).

Killers never use status effect add-ons that's why this perk isn't used a lot and considered being useless, being able to recover the exposed effect faster isn't that bad of a idea. If that can change the meta a bit i'm all for it.

Yeah, but I think it should affect exposed, but only inflicted by perks/or a lower percentage for exposed inflicted by powers.

If you use Vigil now, you only have 4 seconds of reduced cool down. If you're doing a Generator, this doesn't make practically any difference.

I also think it could apply a time for infinite status effects to recover, for example mangled and hemorrhage caused by Sloppy Butcher would now recover 60 seconds after you got hit.

But think about that. If all 4 people take vigil and it applied globally, and decreased the duration of exhaustion by 80%, that's 80% of 40. That's 32 seconds of exhaustion shaved off so Surviviors only get an 8 second exhaustion duration. All they have to do is win 2 pallets and then they get their exhaustion perk back. Meaning if a Survivior wins 2 loops, they pretty much can run the killer all game without even getting hit.

If all the maps were reworked like Badham so there were more pallets, but less safe pallets, then I'd be on board with a change like yours. But as it stands I'd rather Surviviors get to recover from exhaustion while running if they use Vigil than to have it on 8 seconds which means they get SB back for winning at 2 God pallets.

Yeah, thinking that way, exhaustion for 8 seconds is pretty OP. You could recover from exhaustion by only camping a window/pallet. I really don't know what the best option would be.

  • it does.

I can think of a lot of situations where even having a 4 second less cooldown on my exhaustion perk would have saved my life. More so if I didn't even need to run the perk but someone else was running it and I still got the benefit.

And like I said, if it's still underwhelming, there's still more that could be added to it. I'm not against a full rework either, but last thing I want is another MoM situation, unless you want 10 minute queues as survivor again because a single perk was so strong, that nobody wanted to play the opposing side, and that's what will happen if things like exhaustion is reduced while sprinting again. It was removed, because using an exhaustion perk more than once in a chase was unbalanced. Making a perk do that means it will be unbalanced.

I agree that it's unbalanced and shouldn't be implemented again. I just think it should get a new feature rather than just a percentage buff. If multiple people were to use Vigil, your idea would be pretty good.

I think the usage of Vigil should be extended, it is just useful on very specific scenarios in its current state. A new feature added to it would be a nice way of doing it.

The perk working on all status effects except exposed would be also an interesting buff.

  • It's about your overall satisfaction with the game/trial. It won't affect your future matches.

I at least think so, am not sure about the first part.

That isnt the problem though. Range isnt the reason why Vigil is weak. The real problem is how its effect, when it does trigger, is useless. How many times have you seen in the past year a situation in which you wished Clown's/Wraith's blindness add-ons lasted slightly less, or Huntress'/Chainsaws' mangled add-ons lasted a few seconds less?

    Vigil needs something else entirely.

    Also think so.

  • I think Pharmacy is ok, but I think Wake Up! and Vigil need some kind of update, buff or rework. No one uses them.

    @Angelicus23 said:

    In my opinion, they're ok

  • Yeah, they can only stack together if other people have it. It's very unlikely that all four Survivors have Vigil on, unless you've got a 4-man SWF.

It could be pretty OP if they did, but it's unlikely to happen. Having an 80% faster time recovering from exhaustion sounds very OP, but it doesn't help mid-chase. As for other status effects, it could be absolutely massive.

Id like if vigil shortened status effect time (idk by how much tbh) and also make permanent status effects go away in a certain amount of time (like having Sloppy butcher give you mangled, itll go away in x amount of seconds)

Yeah, would be good as well.

  • I think it would still be underwhelming as not many people use/have Vigil. You would also need to be nearby for the perk to stack. The exhaustion recovery speed could be decreased further, it could get a buff at its percentage, it could apply to all status effects, or even be reworked fully (different functions).

  • It currently doesn't. Luck only affects unhooking yourself and freeing yourself from a Bear Trap.

Here is the Luck article on DBD Wiki:

  • Approximately 35000k - 40000k BP if you buy the cheapest things. (Survivor)

  • I don't know if Vigil should apply to Exposed, as it would be pretty OP. The only way this could be implemented is so that it only works on Exposed inflicted by perks.

  • Textures depend more on your resolution. If you set your resolution at 100%, then the textures will look nice.

The graphic settings are responsible for animations, environmental effects etc. If you set it at Ultra, then the animations will look nice and realistic, as well as the effects.

If you want a good texture quality, then set your resolution at 100%.

If you want beautiful and realistic environmental effects and animations, then set your graphic settings at Ultra (I don't recommend doing so if you don't have a good PC cuz it will most likely be laggy). That's why I suggest playing on high if you don't have a good PC.

  • I don't think so. It could be implemented so that you recover from exhaustion at 50% or 60% of the base exhaustion recovery speed while running. This means it would take approximately 80 seconds to recover from exhaustion while running. Pretty much what it was before but now it take a perk slot.

To be fair, Wake Up was meta for a while.

Being serious though, they're on the list. When we get a chance, we'd love to take a look at them.

    Was it?

    Oh, ok. That sounds nice.

  • I don't really have any ideas for Wake Up!

  • It could also be a bit different for exhaustion (e. g. you recover at 50% of the normal exhaustion recovery speed). This would apply only if you are running

  • Yeah, but it's still better to have a new meta perk than another bad perk.

  • I guess Vigil could just get a buff in its percentage and work on all status effects. A new feature such as recovering from exhaustion while running would be nice.

  • Idk, 32m is what was said. However, 32m is also further than it appears to be as you can see on the screenshot.

  • Yeah, if you could recover from Exhaustion while running if you have Vigil on, it'd be a nice feature.

  • I feel like 20% doesn't make a big difference. Maybe 50% on Tier III.

Status Effects are not a default feature of any match, so the perk remains a bit situational.

If it applied to exposed, then it would be a bit OP, but...

  • Lol, no. It's just not a major rework.

  • You pretty much need to know if the killer respects Pallets or not. If they don't, then you should drop the Pallet once they are at lunge range.

If they do, then you can run around one more time once they are at lunge range and you've reached the Pallet. This is commonly referred to as "Fake Dropping the Pallet".

It's not recommended to use all Pallets in one area. This will create a dead-end for you and your team. What should be done, is leaving 1 or 2 Pallets behind and looping the third Pallet you find.

The Shack Pallet is very important as well. It should NEVER be dropped before at least 3 Gens have been completed. The only exceptions to this are if you are gonna get downed and it's your last hook. (If you know the killer is facecamping, then you can also drop the Pallet). If the Basement is in the Shack, this Pallet becomes even more important. You can perform a potential Pallet save using it.

  • It's just his hitbox. He can possibly be using some add-ons as well. Remember the center of your screen must be focused on him for 1.5 seconds without any interruption, e. g. you're looping a pallet near a car and the car is between you and GF for 1 second. It resets the whole action. This is why it's sometimes harder to reveal GF while looping.

In the latter situation, you're not letting something interrupt your sight (as he's 30 ft away) and you are trying to reveal him. He's also trying to stalk you instead of hiding, so you'll reveal him.

  • If a Survivor stays on a snare after being triggered, they’ll be slowed for 5 seconds.

They’ll be slowed for 2 seconds after leaving the snare.

This is the conclusion I came to after testing it.

  • You can reveal GF if you are within a 32m radius of him by default.

You need to look directly at him for 1.5 seconds for him to be revealed. If this direct eye contact is stopped for too long, it resets the reveal action. That is why some players can reveal GF more easily than others.

What matters is where your camera is looking. If you have clear sight of Ghostface, you’ll start revealing him.

It’s also harder to reveal GF is he’s crouching or leaning.

The detection range is more focused on the center of your screen. If you have sight of GF on the center of your screen for 1.5 seconds, you’ll certainly reveal him.

  • You cannot change these controls. You can wiggle the fastest by pressing the buttons at a constant medium speed. If you do it too fast or too slow, you’ll actually stop wiggling.

  • As I searched, all these words urú, uri have a meaning. Urú means support but I'm not sure it is actually meant to be so.

  • I think so too. Thanks for the help!

  • She makes different sounds, urú, uruuuuu, urí, I don't know. But apparently they don't have any meaning. They might be only random sounds she makes.

  • What do you transcribe from her speech? I personally hear "Adda ni ka dingir asar ku me", but it's very important to have different opinions to find out what is the correct transcription.

  • It might be sumerian or akkadian, the both languages spoken in Babylon. I also found a good dictionary extracted from a book. The Plague also speaks that when you have the corrupt purge on. It's one of those quiet things she says. I also read there are some parts of the babylonian Epic of Creation which are similar to what she speaks. If the "asar ku me" I heard is correct, we could say the Plague believes in Osiris, the God of the agriculture in Egypt cuz "Asar" is how the Babylonians called Osiris. Therefore, asar could be "where" too. So, looking for the best meaning is required. This is the link of the dictionary I used. If you type "Sumerian Dictionary" on Google, you can also find more ones.

  • Translating that is being too hard because the slight difference between asar and a sa can be decisive. Anyway, I'm looking forward to translating it so that it makes sense. Thanks for helping me.
