Probably the same way I got that timestamp (from the live servers)
If they did, then this timestamp was updated or something.

May be. Idk. I won’t ask them either cuz I don’t wanna get in trouble with them.

I’d say the Devs, when they release a cool licensed DLC but instead of fixing bugs, infinite’s and broken Perks, they release more.
But in-game, the Huntress’ Hatchets. When I’m playing Huntress, the broken hitboxes are lovely, but whenever I am playing against her, it’s nightmarish; I literally get hit by every single hatchet thrown, even though it wasn’t even near me.
Reavealing Ghostface as well: whenever I play Survivor I can never reveal the Ghostface, and as a Killer I never get revealed.
Hitboxes... Lol

That's from me, I just queried the live servers manually, this information is sent to the game client on startup
Idk how you did that but the devs almost confirmed that these aren’t the dates at which the Bloodhunt would happen. Anyway, I don’t know exactly how the person got these dates, talk to them personally if you wanna know that cuz I don’t wanna get in trouble with them.
-
In terms of wasting time, running the Killer around for 5 Gens would be much more effective. It find it extremely unlikely that the Killer will be looking for you for 5 Gens. And it’s true: You will waste time healing, looking for another Gen etc.
-
I recommend running Perks like Quick & Quiet, Dance With Me and Iron Will.
You can perform various Locker jukes using it.
Locker jukes are basically performed by fast vaulting a Locker (which won’t make any noise) after dropping a Pallet or making a turn. They work particularly well if they are performed after looping a structure.
Iron Will helps you perform corner jukes and hide mid-chase while injured.
Dance With Me can really confuse the Killer if they don’t have a clear vision of you after vaulting the Window.

True but if you lose the killer... killer wastes time attempting to find you again or find someone else.
I recommend running Perks like Quick & Quiet, Iron Will and Dance With Me for that.
Ex: You looped a Jungle Gym for a while, dropped the Pallet, and there is a Locker in front of you. You fast vault the Locker, which won’t make any noise (thanks to Quick & Quiet). The Killer will most likely think you kept looping as your Scratch Marks didn’t disappear yet. After the Killer passes by, you leave the Locker and hide behind a rock or something like that. By then, the Killer will probably have lost you.
Iron Will allows you to perform corner jukes and hide mid-chase much better while injured.
Dance With Me can really confuse the Killer.

I think we are losing track of the true meaning of this discussion. I'll just link it again.

Hello guys. You probably heard about the mess involving someone's speculation on the dates the Bloodhunt would happen. I already shared my feelings and apologized on some discussion, but I'll do it again.
I've only been an Admin on DBD Wiki for 2 months. The person who speculated these dates is the most experienced Admin of the Wiki, they've been an admin since 2017. They are also the only one to have contact with the devs. I thought I could trust them regarding these dates. I have been told some horrible things as well, but this isn't strictly related to this theme. Now the community is very upset and disappointed with the Wiki. I feel really awful right now. Even though I'm not responsible for the dates, I'd just like to apologize: I'm sorry.
This person also apologized, but they can't speak for themselves cuz they've been previously banned.
Please forgive me, the wiki, and the person who made this speculation. They didn't have bad intentions.
Hope you guys understand the situation,
have a nice day.

Could somone tell me how I can prove lagswitching as it happened to me this week when the killer who was a wraith was being outplayed then once the endgame was triggered the game totally lagged out and everyone had the same problem and I was streaming at the time as well.
As you were streaming, you can prove that your ping was good before the match started and that you weren't laggy until this very last moment. If you could prove that the other Survivors also experienced that, it would be almost 100% confirmed that they were actually lagswitching.
Try to submit a ticket to the DBD support, linking your stream. Also try to report them in-game.

If The Game is bad for both sides, then wouldnt that make it good for both sides?
Idk. Maybe. I think The Game is bad for Survivors cuz they'll normally have a hard time finding Generators.
I think it's bad for Killers cuz the Pallet spawns on The Game are pretty much memorizable, Pallets seem to spawn in the same places. There are also some broken loops on the map and this map is a BL heaven as well.

@Sackboy123 said:
It's not the Insta Heal that actually stacks, it's the charge reduction that it causes which stacks with other charge addons
Yeah
-
Yeah. DBD's matchmaking is weird. If you are at high ranks, you'll be most likely playing with low ranks against a high rank killer. It generally works that way. You'll basically always carry the team. Lol
-
I think Haddonfield and The Game should be reworked first.
If you are playing Killer on Haddonfield and all four Survivors have Balanced Landing, you are gonna have an extremely hard time hooking them.
The Game is kind of bad for both sides.
-
They don't stack practically. If you have both Instaheal add-ons equipped, the rarer one will be always used. It's basically a waste to equip both instaheal add-ons on a Med-Kit.
-
I was playing Wraith without Ruin and Add-ons
Me: gg
Survivor: camper tunneler trash killer im reporting you
Me: I know that if I'm still in the map once I hook someone, I'm CAMPING.
Survivor: But you camped
Me: I know, I didn't leave the map or went to a corner.
Survivor: get reported tunneler
Me: I also know I can't chase a Survivor after hooking them.
Survivor: Baby killer, can't even get a 4k without using OP killers OP Add-ons OP Perks
Me: Dead Survivor, can't even survive a 'baby killer'
Survivor: *gives up and quits*
-
DBD's matchmaking system is weird. Sometimes it works, but it mostly doesn't perform quite well, especially at red ranks.
-
I also do. In my opinion, Haddonfield, Red Forest and Autohaven looked much better when they were darker.

Yeah. Some articles are BHVR edit only, like the new chapter’s characters pages.
No, BHVR doesn't run the wiki. Admins can edit those, e. g. I can edit them. It's safe to assume they will be much more accurate since contributors with bad intentions can't edit them.

You can rely on it, since it does keep track of patch notes. It also gives some fun trivia on the characters, which I like.
And to be fair, most -pedia sources should be taken with a grain of salt regardless.
I think you can rely on most official informations featured there.
-
My comment is a bit bugged so I'll comment it again.
1) Ex: You are salty at a killer who camped you. You wanna take revenge on them. You, because they camped you, sandbag them every time you find them on a survivor lobby.
2) Generally, as a Killer, trapping players in a corner and going AFK. This pretty much forces the Survivor to DC, or the game will last forever.
3) Using macros or bots to get competitive advantage.
4) Lag switching is basically simulating lag using programs: Once it's activated, all survivors will lag out, as if your lobby were laggy, and only you'll be fine.
Note these things are all banable.

Hello everyone! Recently, I got back to the game and checked out the game rules. Would you kindly to explain me the following rules:
- 1)"Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience" - To me, as a killer main, it sounds like a prohibition of "tunneling".
- 2)Holding the game hostage - I have some guesses about that, but, first, I want to know your opinion.
- 3)Botting - is it using AI instead of direct playing?
- 4)Lag switching - once, someone imputed me that thing, but I don't have a clue about what this could mean.

I'm an admin of DBD Wiki and I'll just say: most official infos there are accurate, but it's a community project: anyone can change it.
I've only been an Admin for two months, it feels really awful to hear that such issues existed. I don't have contact with the devs, neither do the other admins, except for the person who wrote the speculated dates on the main page. I thought I could trust them regarding these dates. I already removed the dates from the main page and talked to that person. I feel really bad that the wiki spread such misinformation.
But, it could be literally anyone. I just thought they were right because of their contact with the devs and their experience. The community is very disappointed because of that, and, even though I and the other admins are not responsible for it, I think the least I can do is to apologize to the community: I’m sorry.
-
And, the Wiki is official, but not run by the devs. Spread of misinformation can always happen. The person who wrote the dates on the main page is an Admin since 2017, they are basically the most experienced Admin. I’ve been an Admin for 2 months, I’m very unexperienced in comparison to them.
To confirm this fact, you can go to DBD’s twitch channel and you’ll see there is a link to the Wiki, with the title “Gamepedia”.
-
Alright then. Thanks. Talk to the person yourselves if you want to know about their intentions, I don't wanna have trouble with them.
I can state all the things written by myself on the wiki are proven and confirmed, either by testing or by the devs. The person has contact with the devs, I don't. I have to wait way longer to get an answer, but...
Idk, I seriously don't know how this person came to the conclusion that these dates were legit.

Yes. Like I said, I never thought anybody was lying or maliciously trying to misdirect. But they don’t always specify that things are subject to change, and then if something doesn’t happen, everyone blames the devs. The contributor I was talking about never accepted responsibility for it either, he just kind of jumped on the “blame the devs” bandwagon and got angry at anyone who said he was wrong.
He has a radar for these things, too. I’m waiting for him to come yell at me again. I honestly am not trying to be rude. I know they work very hard to keep that page current. Just stating facts and sharing my experience with issues in the past.
I'm an Admin there and I'll just say: Official infos are stated there correctly, unless some contributor changes them. I also think this speculation isn't really needed, but there are people who like to share speculations. I already removed the speculated dates from the main page.
I've been an Admin for 2 months now and I never stumbled across such things, but I think others might have.
The Wiki is official, but it's a community project and isn't run by the devs. It feels awful to know that such things happened in the past, but I didn't get to experience this yet. We are aware. That wiki is not run by the dev team. I wouldn't rely on any information that has not been officially confirmed.
Should I remove this, then? That was not added by me either, but I know how the person came to this conclusion. I don't know if this should be on the main page if it's not officially confirmed.
Idk if there will be another dev stream before the PTB is released, but it would be quite nice
Just knowing when the PTB is out would be enough for me, I'm checking twitter and the forums every 1 hour.

IW and NM do stack, it's the only way to completely counter Stridor. I tried them a few times and actually got a Spirit with Stridor one game. I literally just followed her all game she had no idea I was there.

Yea iron will does reduce the volume by 100%
But if the character is by default louder than 100% then Iron will cant make you silent. Try no mither on ace and iron will on jane.
Ace is 100% silent with the 50% from no mither and jane even cries with iron will 3. did you never noticed that jane is suuuuper loud? It's so awful and..weird..she doesnt sound like having bad pain xD
You guys should test things more :D also be carefully with the game wiki. Some things are missing or just wrong
No Character is louder than 100%. If you have Iron Will III, you won't emit grunts of pain, regardless of your character. 100% means all possible grunts won't be emitted.
When I play Jane, I always use Iron Will (Tier III) and she doesn't emit any grunts of pain. You can watch the video sent by @thesuicidefox yourself.
If you heard her grunting nonetheless, the killer was using Stridor.
I don't even know if the noise reductions by No Mither and Iron Will stack.
-
If you equip Iron Will, any Character won't emit grunts of pain, regardless of how loud they are without any Perk.
If the Killer runs Stridor, then you would need to run both Perks for Jane not to emit any grunts of pain.
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Iron_WillHere is the DBD Wiki's article for Iron Will. You can find more information there.
-
@Peanits said:
It does not affect chests at the moment, no.
Ok. Already changed the wiki article, then.

Basically use only tracking Perks and game slowdown perks; chase perks don't have a big effect on her.
An example of build is: BBQ and Chili, Hex: Ruin, Discordance and Stridor
Another example: BBQ and Chili, Hex: Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Whispers
You can also use Predator if you're having a hard time tracking Survivor in Yamaoka's Haunting.
If you're using the "Father's Glasses" add-on, which allows you to see blood in Yamaoka's Haunting, I recommend using the following: Hex: Ruin, BBQ and Chili, Bloodhound, Sloppy Butcher.

Then the wiki is wrong
"Luck affects a Survivor's chances of unhooking themselves from a Hook and freeing themselves from a Bear Trap. It does affect the Rarity of an Item found in a Chest "
Idk. Other users said it only affects unhooking yourself and freeing yourself from a Bear Trap. I just wrote it based on what they've written.
I don't think the Wiki is wrong. If it isn't, then I'm sorry.
-
It depends on the BP offering you are using, your final score and the amount of stacks you've gotten.
If your final score was 15.000, then you'll get 30k BP if you got 4 stacks of WGLF. If you combine it with a Gruesome Gateau, you'll get 45k. (it's 103% of your base score).
-
I think Wake Up! should get a new feature as well, to make it less situational. You only open gates 3 seconds faster with it, which could sometimes on a very specific scenario save your life. Seeing Exit Gates can help you as well, but it's not a big deal in most situations as you'll see the locations of the exit gates (bubbles popping) when the last Gen is powered. Others seeing you can be useful if they are in a chase and didn't pay attention to the locations (bubbles popping).
It's not really a horrible perk but it needed a new feature so that it's worth a perk slot. Not many people use it.
