If someone plays that much usualy he gets some realy bad killers that cant make a single hook or realy good survivors that can loop for minutes, 3friends on survs that carry the entire game. I bet you make all mistakes imaginable. Killers became way stronger that is true, but 1 win on 28 games? How is that possible? I cant belive you might be that lucky facing such strong opponents all the time. Half of time i get complete noobs
If you had read the post, you would noticed that I said I was getting many killers that I could run from for 2+ minutes (which is nonsense). They are definetely not experienced.

This patch was a step into the right direction. Survivors feel finally how killers have been feeling for years and they don´t like it. Throwing a fit about it and sabotaging the game for everyone else by suiciding/disconnecting won´t change the devs mind. Because they´ve learned from the past, how our community reacted to unpopular changes.
Now survivors can´t have a chill match, where they hear music or chat with others. They have to focus on the match. That isn´t a bad thing.
Wow! Survivors had chill matches? I missed that completely. I have music on constanly, but turn it off only for Spirit (for obvious reasons) and survivor. As I mentioned before, I got past first 100 sacrifices and didn't know about lunge attack yet. But for survivor I had watch tons of tutorials, train jukes, loops, remember all map layouts. When I went for rank 1 for 6 months, I had really prepare myself (sleep well, be fresh, warmed up, etc), it was battle to death with shaking hands, even before patch. I don't remember getting 0K more than 10 times in my whole time (before patch). And I don't remember a single match that caused frustration. For survivor it's like 30% of matches where you want smack you monitor.
I think more accurate would be that killers now can have lots of chill matches like they are on a brand new account.
I'm starting to believe I'm the only one who didn't suffer from prepatch DH (Iron Will and Spine Chill were problem to me), and never used DH myself...
Screenshot from my first gameplay as Bubba few years back. Now it feels the same.
NB! IT WAS NOT CAMPING :) They were noobs like me, but overaltruistic.
-
On my level, lots of Bubbas, Nemesis', Legions and Nurses (why so many nurses on low MMR i can't understand).
Quite a few Dredges.
All other evenly rare.
Almost never seen Twins and Hag.
-
I double the Camping solution with both hands. Some people tried to convince me that is doesn't work (BHVR did it before) and survivors abuse it, but I still cannot see how it would affect me. Maybe add a little changes to it: don't show to killer hook progress + resume timer when survivor nearby.
Don't know what will help against tunneling (except making DS back to 5 and basekit), but maybe with camping elimination tunneling will wither as well, because it would be detrimental to loiter around the hook.

I'm escaping at a slightly lower rate (like 40%-ish), but the games aren't much less competitive than they were before but I have also seen an uptick in DCs and throwing. I suspect the two are related.
I haven't personally seen any evidence of killers just running roughshod over helpless surv teams in my games (save for your usual occasional nurse rinsing), and I haven't seen it on the streams I watch, either.
To hear some tell it, it's solo queue-mageddon out there, but I just don't see it. Like at all. And I have been playing more surv (all solo) than ever.
Massive overreaction going on, like mass hysteria over the game being changed.
I can't say it's armageddon, but skill-floor raised a lot. And I'm not talking about DH (almost never used it), I'm talking about gen speed and recovery time. Gen takes forever (not because of +10 seconds, but because in addition it's always Thana, CoB, Eruption and other neat things; it's gone to the point when I started to bring Repressed Alliance). And it's almost palpable feeling how you cannot gain distance now after the hit (god save your soul if you are against tunneler...)
I have fresh experience to compare, because I fought for rank 1 just before patch (and thanks heavens I did it before patch).
Before it was that average player (that knows maps, pallet tactic and very effecient of course) could escape, now it's raised to pro level.
Funny thing: seen latest steamers survivor videos and they really die a lot. Of course they often goofing around, but they did it before too.

@serpentk1ng said:
It really isn't that hard to escape if you just do the objective. I'm primarily a killer player, but I've been playing more survivor this patch due to the queue times. I've had about 50/50 escapes and deaths in my solo q games since this patch released, and most of the losses were because somebody either DC'ed or killed themselves on hook.
I agree that Solo Queue needs buffs, but a lot of players are making things seem way worse than they are. Just do the gens, have a little situational awareness, and you'll get out.
"Just do the gens, have a little situational awareness, and you'll get out" Bro, you better than Tony Robbins 😀
As I was explained above, it seems I'll understand what that means in a few thousand hours more. Now it's super hard yet. It was super hard before (when I couldn't get rank 1 and people said "just play normally and you'll get it, it's very easy"), now I didn't see someone around me escape at all. In last 50 matches escaped 3 times, once on the shoulders of very experienced team, once with gatetech, and once by finding key and reopening the hatch (so out of 3 only one fair and square)

It’s not challenging—it’s painful. There’s a huge difference.
Playing survivor is painful. About book, one can skip it.
-
Why don't you go play survivor, then? ;-)
-
True! I even have some suggestions:
- Remove all pallets and windows, they are OP
- Running more than 10 seconds cause exhaust status effect and survivor cannot run anymore
- Increase gen repair time to 2 hours
- Disable survivor ability to crouch, or some could t-bag and that's hurt killer's fragile ego
- Add some means to humiliate survivors, so they won't forget who is power role here, slapping on hook and nodding not enough.
- If survivors are not unhooking camped survivor, automatically teleport them to hook
- Remove survivor's endgame chat input textbox, they only have to pick premade phrases like "yes", "yes master" and "you were so skilled, master"
-
Make stunning videos with a single click. Cut, trim, crop, add subtitles and more. Online, no account needed. Try it now, free. VEED
Stop it. Survivor is fun.

If MMR is working properly, they should be. Isn't that the whole point?
True. But shouldn't be there low MMR killers too? Or is it that lowers MMR killers still can get 4K and hundreds of bad survivors, including me, have zero chance in this game, no matter how many thousand hours are spent? Then it's very interesting and very strange why so high skill floor applied only to one side. Otherwise all those bad people would have to drop the game, because loosing so many times is not the thing you want to do deliberately in your free time.

Survivor before: Overcome, WoO, Kindred, CoH
Survivor now: Lithe, WoO, Kindred, CoH
Sadako before:
- 1) Bamboozle, Pain Resonance, DMS, BBQ

Sadako now:
- 1) Bamboozle, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Jolt
- 2) Bamboozle, Sloppy/Plaything, Jolt, STBFL

You're WAY WAY off base here. No matter what, you get a team. Terrible, Bad, Good, Amazing. Doesn't matter, you still get a team. Just because your team is bad, doesn't mean you get anything special. Also, I do just fine as solo queue Survivor. The game was always built for solo Queue, SWF was added after the fact, and is the most game breaking powerhouse because of it.
Also, your Hunt : Showdown reference makes zero sense. Solo in Hunt is made for streamers, tryhards, and challengers. Hunt was always meant to be duos, but they adding in trio's later. Solo in Hunt, you don't get a team at all. DBD you do, good or bad. So you take what you get in DBD. It was built around solo queue, Hunt was not.
Also, before you say I have no idea what I'm talking about, here is my Steam Profile -> https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198405376589/
Near 4,000 hours in Hunt, 3,000+ of that is as solo. I played Beta and onward, and have been a large presence on the forums and Twitch. I've played with Ic3man2k and such and given much feedback, gun suggestions, ect. To the point they gave me Cain, The Legendary Hunter Skin.
Cannot agree with that.
True, Hunt was always meant to be duos. But you're saying that DbD is based around solos, and at first it seems that way (kindred, bond, etc). But my point is for some reason it is balancing around SWF today. Maybe it was before, but it seems these days are long gone. That's what my point was when I said about "disorienting".
P.S.
I definetely don't want and need to question your Hunt experience, everything you say about Hunt is true. Except as Solo you can get a random. It is weaker than premade, no doubt, but at least there was voice chat and they added ping system.
I'm was in Hunt since prerelease 0.4 (when only 1 map was and no Immolators), got only 1400 hours, stopped playing about half a year ago because couldnt develop my skill so I could compete with current hunters, lacking of reaction and accuracy. Why am I saying that, its because (unlike many DbD killers) I don't cry for Cyrtek to add autoaim for me so I could kill pros like yourself.

Saw some guy on social media saying he's new, with not even 100 hours in the game, and is 4k'ing every time. Someone else said they've never played nurse before yet got her adept immediately. Personally? My games in solo queue have been okay - I'm not seeing all these DCs and survivors throwing games like lots are claiming - but I am getting hatch way more than I used to because gens arent getting done.
As a matter of fact, I could believe those two guys. On low level matchmaking you get (in my experience) so many fresh survivors, so it's just slaughterhouse every time. I remember I got my first 100 sacrifices in my days before even know about lunge attack. Later, when I started to match against strong teams I started to suspect that something is wrong and started learning.
Same for nurse adept. On the bottom you can miss 20 attacks and get 1, but gens wont be touched, survivors crouching behind trees, easy peasy.
Thing is that many killers stop developing at this point (why would they, its 4K every match), and than they are thrown in the middle of MMR lake, and that's when fun begins. Killer either start learning, or start crying about how unfair. I can identify latter one just by playstyle.
I wonder what those guys will say after they continuosly play their killers a little more.

Team 1 is easiest (of all), team 4 is the hardest (turkey just carry you out without open locker and granny won't even bother and draw a triangle nearby).

This! It's called MMR hell and you are basically on your own. Your other survivor mates will hide all game in a locker orca bush and even when you run Kindred with Open Handed and the killer is clearly on the other side of the map chasing someone, 9/10 no one will be brave enough to unhook you.
The dreaded realm of the MMR-Hell is lorded over by dismal creatures of little skill and even less self-esteem. They are the so-called NOED-Wraith, hateful rulers of their dingy little fiefdoms were they sow terror and despair and their subjects hide in lockers or bushes and those few brave souls get struck by foul witchcraft. No one escapes Death, it seems. Occasionally the NOED-Wraith has to leave their fiefdom and travel outside to do battle, but they inevitably get utterly destroyed, because they lack any true skill and when they return home, their rekindled hatred makes them hit you on the hook time and time again.
Yes, the MMR-Hells are a forlorn and foreboding place, and while escape isn't impossible, its a might deed! One has to pull themselves up from the ground, somehow rouse the broken spirit of their comrades in arms and successfully verse the NOED-Wraith and escape.... About 5 times in a row. At times it might seem impossible, nut please don't lose heart, for when you somehow manage it, the reward is great indeed.
When you step foot into the DBD Heartland proper other survivor will greet you warmly and accept you in their mids like a long long brother or sister. They will show you true honor, true skill... and true valor. They will take hits and ravage their own flesh, just to get you out of death's very own clutches, and before long you will witness the greatest display of humanity and altruism of them all: the discarding of their own flesh and very life, just so that you can traverse the Doors of the Exit. Nothing is gained for them, all seems lost, and yet they die with a smile on their face and hope on their hearts.
I thought about that, but I don't think I can complain about teammates in that sorry 28 games run. There was some green survivors, but not very often.
Of course I didn't have hardcore teammates that move only with moonwalks and can loop killer with 360 around single tree for a 10 minutes, but very few "assassin Claudettes" that not seen neither by killer, nor by teammates. Everyone pretty decent, do gens, trying to run killer (not for long), unhooking, healing, pretty much always useful. Yes, few times I saw chest lockpicking, but hey, not a big crime I think. My circle of hell in top levels, closer to the ground.
P.S. Your Prophecy is quite something to read, good sir! 👍️

Also yes, some of his killers have low MMR : watch his nurse matches, he was playing against survivors with YELLOW universal perks. It was disgusting.
Sorry, how can you have low MMR if you win 50 times in a row? (and as I recall, he didn't do it first try). And what about "base MMR" among killers that devs just mentioned recently?

My question (not complain, don't put words for me) was A) why bad killers are induljed to compete with good survivors, and B) why not to come clean that SoloQ is not supposed to be played by average players with less than 5K hours?
I have zero need for any sympathy, I'm not an Insidous Bubba player.

All I see here is that it took you 28 games of losing for your MMR to drop to the level that is actually appropriate for your skill level, since relying on the former meta perks boosted you to levels you didn't belong to.
Again, for someone that doesn't like to read: my MMR supposedly was low as much as possible even before patch. I die 5-10 times more than escape. I'm ok with level I'm belong to, but what about killer players? Why they can't accept level they belong to? Tournament was won, challenges like 50 kill streak or others were done, why bad killers are given boost? If they couldn't win, they shoud be on level with crouching Claudettes, right?

True. But I didn't see when killers lost so much and never experienced either. I only saw when Otz tried to do 50 win with Sadako and dropped it because OMG it was only 10 and it's a trash killer (which she is in comparison)
So many people trying to tell me that i'm bad. I KNOW THAT! I'm BAD!
but just answer me 1 question I was asking even before the patch and now, and still no one answer: WHAT WITH OTHER PEOPLE? WHY ALL OF THEM BAD TOO? Is it some bad server or my luck to get few bad players 1000 times before and after patch? Why statistically I'm matched with great teams so rarely?

If you were at that sort of MMR, I'd be surprised if you never encountered the House of Pain on Haddonfield, the Poglog on Swamp, the House of Pain on Badham (still exists), the office infinite on RPD, the unhookable spot on Eyrie and RPD, and that's before we get into stuff like the instant flashlight blinds, prenerf sabo, post-buff Boil Over, prenerf DS, prenerf OoO, prenerf MoM, prenerf BT or the fact that, for years, almost every map had at least 2 or 3 spots where killers couldn't pick you up from.
Survivor was absolutely the power role for most of DbD's existence.
Great! Can I try for once? Or it's available only to 10% of players, that can loop killer in open field?

Today everyone is on edge it seems :)

He is joking. But in every joke is a lump of truth. Killer "do gens" pretty seriously. In one match, that lasted more than 30 minutes, killer repeatedly kicked last gens with CoB, Eruption and Overcharge and withered us in the end. War of Attrition tactic.

Okay, your issue is playing solo q before anything settled down, if you don't want to play in messy MMR and messy teammates, don't play soloq until a month or two.
There is actually too many survivors who relied heavily on all the meta perks, they don't really know what to do and trying things now, I'm not even sure how much people are seriously trying to win.
Btw I do still escape in like 5 or 4 matches, and 2 or 3 of those will finish all the gens, and I'm not even best survivor player, probably it heavily relies on region.
Probably you right. I wouldn't play survivor on my own free will, but Rift won't wait and book challenges must be completed. Killer ones I did long time ago.

@ThiccBudhha said:
It is not that killer is obligated to win so much as you are not gifted a free escape merely because you brought the perk. Free escapes is NOT how they should be balancing the game and the fact that you even suggest that invalidates the point you are trying to make to begin with.
I don't like the phrase "free escape". Why it is free? I saved DS for the end, I played with my team and helped did 5 gens, so endgame happened. It is not free, it's well earned. That logic make Bloodwarden free kill.

Survivors will surely need some compensation buffs. Camping and tunneling are now just too effective, seeing as how killers got nice buffs that make their fair skillful gameplay more viable.
But 28 games in a row kind of seems like you seriously got screwed over by matchmaking. Or you still have a lot to improve.
I do think that survivor right now can be problematic. But I definitely still have escaped some of my matches. Never even had nearly as much of a losing streak as that. And I am no survivor pro or anything like that.
I don't know about my MMR, but I 90% sure it's in the very bottom. I'm matched with people roughly the same playtime (1500-500), and they die very fast too.
My point was that if I, after 1200h, have to git gut (I'm ok with that), that means all those I'm matched with also have to git gut. And if so many people have to git gut to play one role, I don't know, man.... Why other role shouldn't git gut? I really learned how to play killer and use many tricks. Again, killers I'm matched with, are obviously not experienced, otherwise I couldn't run from them that long. Yet still, 4K.

Is using a perk considered a cheat or exploit?
Imbalanced perk can be rendered as exploit if majority of people agree about that. Same as level design or AI flaws in some games. It's there and it can be abused, making it unfun for others (and the last one is the most important thing when we are not talking about singleplayer game).
If I come to the pool, let's say for TikTok content, and piss in the water, everyone will curse me, because I spoil the fun for everyone. Is it OK behavior or not? Nothing prohibits me from doing that. I would have to leave the pool at the worst.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3086195#Comment_3086195
Who here is deciding what someone deserves or doesn't? That's such an arrogant mindset. Even if the majority thinks that still who cares? Opinions aren't facts.
If it's an issue of something actually being imbalanced then it's on the game, not the person using the tools they got.
It's called "Common sense", you should try it sometimes.
When I start playing some game, I cannot beat the endgame boss right of the bat (unless I'm super skilled and/or beatend this game numerous times). Using cheat or exploits would be crutch.
I cannot compete against world class MMA fighter, unless I'm myself. But bringing shank or gun to a fight would be a crutch.
I cannot enter the university if I'm not educated enough or not educated enought yet. But my big-pockets daddy could grease some hands and I'm in - that's a crutch.
The problem is that crutches are allowed in some areas, intentionally or not. So yes, crutch is a crutch. And I can decide what crutch is, just as a member of society and human being. Who are you to prohibit me of speaking my mind? People can agree or not, but that's my point, you can argue, but definetely not point me where is my place. Ain't that arrogant? Definetely not your place to do that.
-
Sadako went great. Only lost once when was doing book challenges.
As for survivor.... Still cannot get out of Ash Rank.
-
A crutch (in games) is something that allows you to do things you don't deserve. Cheesy tactics, some exploits, abusing some imbalances, etc.
