i play killer 95% of time. I dont have problems with SWF. I did not have probmels with deadhard as well. tbaging is case of losing is what drives me mad. Even if there are 4 players SWF and the match is tough there is always a weak link in chain. They are rarely all top tier players.
-
i was banned once. I played mostly myers back then.
i took a break from a game for like several months. then i decided to play again (at that moment i got a realy bad graphic card. lowest tier. i had 15-20 fps in game) i played 2-3 rounds and then i was banned. if survivork made 360 around me i had to turn my camera and fps dropped even lower. The only strange thing i noticed is that once or twice when they finished a gen it was not considered as completed. It popped but number remained the same. Idk whether it was related to a bad graphic card.
i was banned forever. I thought this was it. I sent a report and then i was unbanned . i have no idea how it works. Idk why i was banned and why was unbanned. May be i was banned because of tinkerer. Sometimes foolish surviviors cry about lack of terror radius
-
i play huntress and people often call me cheater. Once i played against a streamer. I decided to watch replay and his friend was crying the entire round that i was cheating. People all the time whine in chat and say that they reported me. I wonder if i will be affected if many people report me.
(mostly they think that i have wallhack and some sort aim, actualy they just run near lockers and i see them because of dredge`s perk and they run in a straight line so i snipeshot them all the time)
-
i never understand thit HORROR OF 4 MINUTES ON THE GROUND. Survs always speak of it as of some sort of unhuman torture. I remember before the edgame survs oftet did not leave the match literaly for like 15-20 minutes. They were just running around map and tbaging.

Twins says hi. Also the only good Sadako build relies on slugging. Honestly, Twins is dead now. If a survivor has unbreakable then you are not going to pick them up now. By the time you move Charlotte over to the downed survivor, they'll have picked themselves up. IMO this necessitates an entire redo of twins from the ground up, Freddy style.
i guess i said something wrong, i meant that good nurse can destroy the entire team the first 3-4 min. She seems too overpowered if she is slugging. She can playing without hooking at all just each game hold all on the ground. Myers/oni have to earn their power.
-
the only killer that gets a lot from hard slugging is nurse. But i think she i harmed the least.
I wonder about oni/myers. I played them a lot like for several hundret hours. The point is that you suffer and then you get your 1 minute to chase and kill all around the map. Regaining all what you lost. Now it seems kind of pointless going for more than 2 players. It was risky before, but now it seems just stupid.
-

> then you won't notice much or have to worry because good killers more often then not don't need to slug. If you do for some reason have to slug, it shouldn't take you more than 45 seconds to resolve your issues.
One gen is left. 90%. 3 ppl are reparing him. how do i solve it in 45 seconds? I ofter read people thoughts i belive that they are simply bad palyers. They belive in some evil overpowered killer and surviviors that are afraid for their life. This is not how the game works. Average survivor do not afraid of killer he can repair gen right under his nose.
>Slugging is a playstyle that no one likes. If you're not slugging then you'll never notice it. If you are though, it's your fault for the letting survivors
you simply dont understand the game. All tensions, fun, risk comes from "slugging". Without "slugging" this game is mecanichal process of chasing 1 player. After killer picks up a survivor all tension is lost. Instead of choosing risk and chase you choose make a hook.
>good killersworry because good killers more often then not don't need to slug.
you dont understand the game. good killers slug, bad killers camp. Slugging is risky, You need to put down several people. because of it low ranks/new palyers always camp. You have to find, chase, put down a surv. .Punishing slugging means promoting boring gameplay
>If you're playing the game the way it is intended too,
explain how it should work

The problem was there were a lot of killer mains who did it just to be toxic. Downing a survivor before this would give the killer too much advantage if they left that survivor on the ground. Now killers are encouraged to not over extend their slug plays. If a killer slugged 2 survivors they gain a big control advantage over the match because it forces excessive altruism. Now they have to play around the limited time instead of gaining a long term advantage. This is a much needed balance change.
now killers are encoraged to pick up any surv because if they leave him he rises up. Now they wont go for chases and will play defensive and just try hook as fast as possible. While you have to promote risky play, mobility they promote safe play. They promote boring play.

@Aurelle said:
This is a very good thing. Both sides get good things. But I have a feeling that the killers will complain about it just as they complained about PTB Reassurance. Slugging has always been a cheap tactic, so it's good that there is a solution to it now. If it actually makes it into the game, that is.
what is good about deleting tensions and risk from the game? I dont want to play like a bot. I want fun game process with risk and fun. Now i will have to pick up every survivior and hook him instead of going for risk.
what was the pont of crying about camping, tunneling for years and in the end crippling if AN ENTEIRE DIFFERENT SIDE of the game? Slugging and tunneling/camping are on different side of a coin.
tunneling/camping is a safe strategy. You dont go for a team, you kill one and get advantage. You do not risk. You do not leave hook. You do not follow others. You focus one player.
Now you boosted camping/tunneling and safe/boring strategies.

This is really good news. It lets me know they are listening to players. I felt the same way when they made the mori change awhile back. I have long said that if a survivor is left on the ground for a certain amount of time then they should be able to pick themselves up. It just feels like it should be a natural part of the game. It'll encourage killer players to play the game as intended and focus more on objectives rather than trolling.

I think is natural part of game for survivors to pick up their comrade rather than doing idk what. Killer does not hold surv on the ground with pistol. Usualy he chases other survivolrs. Where is is trolling ?

when you pick a surv TENSION IS LOST. The most fun part of the game is when 1 is in dying state, gen is almost done, 2-3 survs trying to repair gen and heal a surv.
Or one is in dying state, you follow another. Stakes are high, You can get 2 hooks or you can lost both of them.
with this dumb chage tension will be deleted from the game. stakes will be deleted from the game. This will be a boring mechanical process of following one surv and hooking him.
and i repeart AFTER PICKING UP SURV TENSION IS LOST

SurvivorsKillers are just angry because they got a false sense of how good they are by constantlyrunning Dead HardSlugging and Camping, which carried them now they have to learn how to actually play the game.i dont even understand why slugging is bad. You find 2 survs around gen, you put one in dying state and follow another.
Sometimes there are 2-4 reparing one gen. I honestly dont understand what a fun playing without changing your target. When you pick up surv and carry him to a hook usualy "fun" is lost, others just run away and hide.
-
@Gamall said:
45 seconds is enough time to press the space bar to pick up the survivor and bring him to a hook, don't you think?
you know game is not that simple right? Like 2-3 survs running around 95% of gen?
-
what a garbage, it completely drains away mobility from the game.
you have to stick to one survivior like a bot without ways of applying pressure. I dont care about balance winning/losing but i think it drains away fun. It bonds you to one surv.
also surviviors dont even need to move to pick up a surv, they can stick to gens.
if they have such problembs with dying state they have to delete nurse from the game. other killers cant apply this amount of pressure. if they are able to hold 4 survs on the ground this is a survivior`s mistake
-
i also liked it as a killer. It is always a small and tense mindgame. Outplaying it felt great. DH added to game a significant and interesting mechanics in addition to pallets and windows.
-
timer might go a little slower like on 30-40% if killer is within 10-15 meters

I'm speaking about "Strength in numbers" challenge, where you have to have at least one survivor escape while you still in match.
Trivia (can skip to the next part)
Another SoloQ example. I'm 1.2K hours (so no comments like "you just have to play more"). I almost never used DH before, so nothing new for me perkwise, using same familliar loadout.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2P8VZPLY5EIC/image.png
Only once I escaped through hatch as last survivor.
Only 3 games were not 4K.
I have starting to get lots of gold and iri "Evader" emblems and be in chases longer than 2 minutes (exept nurse, ofc), which means killers I'm matched with are completely unskilled. Yet almost everytime is 4K
Tunneling is off the charts!
Finally got that book challenge because was matched with 3 SWF bully squad and killer was fresh.
What i wanted to say
SoloQ is literally unplayable, unless you're some pro tournament streamer. Devs should get up the nerve and make a statement: survivor gameplay is supposed for friend play. SoloQ is not meant to be and it's at your own risk. No problem with that, many quesions will be ceased immediately.
System requirements: internet connection, PC/Xbox/PS, 3 friends
Let me give an example: Hunt Showdown. You play 3 vs 3, or 2 vs 2. You can go solo agains duos and gain "underdog" bonus, or agains trios and get super "underdog" bonus. So solo is officially left for streamers, tryhards and challengers. Everyone fine with that. Why just simply acknowledge the same thing in DbD?
That awkward "you kinda can play Solo, but kinda can't" is really disorienting.
Another thing that stumbles me
Why many perks switches off at the EGC? It's like "You lose, but you can play well and go to the end, and then lose anyway". Why? Why killer is obliged to have win? There's some quota?
If someone plays that much usualy he gets some realy bad killers that cant make a single hook or realy good survivors that can loop for minutes, 3friends on survs that carry the entire game. I bet you make all mistakes imaginable. Killers became way stronger that is true, but 1 win on 28 games? How is that possible? I cant belive you might be that lucky facing such strong opponents all the time. Half of time i get complete noobs
-
i win 7 our of 10 my games as solo surv. Mb you are just bad. I see absolutly no difficulty in anything expect repairing gens became boring long process after patch.
Dummy teammates is thing that brings most games to a fast end. All what you have to do is sustain chase while team reapair gens. Or repair gens while someone is in chace. Dumb survs cant sustain it for more than 20 secs and dont repair gens because they use self care somewhere in the angle vs legion .
facecamping is not gigantic problem. It mostly makes game boring but not difficult . If you are dumb and rush to save despite seing killer camping this is your fault. You had to repair gens.
also should not it be killer sided? This is suppose to be 1vs4 survivial game where some of survs escape, some die, this is not suppose to be an amusement park where survs outrun killer at any case
-
explain me what is wrong with solo q? I have been playing this month on surv and i dont see anything diffulutl. The only thing is that after patch it takes way more time to repair gens.
Dumb teammates is the thing that ruins me most of my games they cant stay in chace for 15 sec and hide instead of reparing gens
i dont see how devs can improve that.
-
so basicly he chose 3 gen strat and did not let you win? Good Lord thats awful.
So you just decide to stay in locker not leaving it? I dont get it how is this plagues fault or something like that? Is not your job to finish gens? guess you value your life (survivor`s life ) too high refucing to accept defeat.
"refused to chase anyone out of their 3-gen and refused to let the game end"
i translate this. We want to lure him out of gens and easly win the game, but he refused to follow us. We could not do anything and we did not want to risk our lifes repairing gens, so we decided to hide in the lockers, then he killed us and now we are here on forum whinng and complaing
this is next level i guess. Now you complain not about camping but about defending gens.
-
i cant see anything on Autoheaven, when it was released i was thinking about quitting the game, it had nothing to do with personal choice but i thought i would not be able to play. Eyes are hurt and i cant see anything. Still cant get used to that. Autoheaven was by far my favourite realm after rework it became worse than haddonfield. I still cant belive how that was approved.
-
"however you can die on hook by trying to escape and then not hitting the struggle skill check"
yes, and this is what some surviviors do right on the start of the match because they failed chase or something like that.
"If all of the survivors are put into the dying state/on hook/dead then the option should be given to simply die".
i bet the most easiest way of killer to win would be just to put everyone on the ground and some whiny surv will immideatly suicide. But usualy somebody has unbreakable, sometimes hook is too far and sometimes people get lucky with unook.
also this is not so easy fo find all 4 surviviors on the ground espesialy because they crawl away and dont want to be spotted
-
impossible? i have been playing surv for entire week. 9 out of 10 killers are complete potatoes. Idk may be i play in some sort of very low MMR but i never see any decent killers. After this expireence i cant take seriously any surv`s compains. Potato follows potato. They use bad perks, cant make a single hook, facecamping.
where and how can i get decent killers ? How many games must i win?
-
i remember everyone were hyped before realease of garbage killer trickster. He was boring, weak, uniteresting to play. I watched ptb and could not understand what people found in him everyone were hyped. Then he was released and he appeared to be boring weak garbage as just on PTB but everyone acter surprise. So i wound not rely on opinion of the community.

i don't understand how the devs could think the changes were good? they must be in their own little echo chamber bubble, we've been screaming for years about soloQ, camping and tunnelling and they don't do anything about it, it's almost like solo players don't exist to them, it's absymal playin this game alone, do the devs actually think it's fun!??
because what you call camping and tunneling is a part of gameplay. It is even unclear what you mean by that. You whine about camping even when gates are open, everyone expect one is at full health, you gather round hooked person and demand to leave and if killer does not you whine in chat after.
im pretty sure by camping you mean smart defeding when killer is able to patrol nearby gens and hooked person.

OP, if you were to receive the notification that you speak of, what are the benefits? How would that information affect your gameplay?
1) morale boost because i earned it
2) expectation of a tough and interesting match versus decent enemies
3) less frustration in case of lose because i faced a decent enemies
btw would not it be great having button something like hardcore mode? Like if you turn on button hardcore more chances that hame sends you to SWF tryhards or sweaty killer. Sometimes you want a sweaty game , you wont be upset as people oftet upset because of SWF or nurse etc. I personaly not a single time complained about SWF. On the contrary for me is way more interesting facing them. Those are team, they play for win, you have to expect gens to pop fast etc.
This is kind of strange that people compalin about SWF but ingone fact that we have a strange mmr system. People might be upset because they play vs SWF 4 players just a bunch of friends chilling around, but ok if they have against them 5k hours solo pro loopers?
Also people compalined about NURSE/spirit while it mostly depends on skill, if they knew they faced 10k hourse killer they would not be crying that much about specific killer

OP.
What?
You are not supposed to win 100% of the games. The game is not designed that way. Neither is real life lol. If you play long enough you will lose. Sometimes you will lose badly, to the point that you are not that competitive. It's experience, just learn from it. Why would the game inform you that you will face more difficult opponents?
All of the complaints about this game revolve around people not wanting to work for anything. Always looking for handouts. Just take your L and keep it moving.
@jesterkind said:
Isn't this how most games work? If you consistently win, you get tougher opponents until you don't consistently win anymore?
i do not say you are supposed to win, but i think it would be nice to have notification that you play in some sort of VERY HARD brasket. Its not that you are bad or unlucky but you have a very decent players against you. What is wrong with that? They say already that they have MMR in the game.
"why would game infortm you that you will face more difficult opponents?" because they say game have some kind of system (mmr etc). It is already impied. Would not it be nice to know that game started giving you some sort of 10k hours proplayers with 50 winsteak? You wont be so desperate after losing.
@Nos37 said:
What pisses me off to no end is that the opposite is not true.
I could lose 20 solo matches as survivor in a row, and still lose the next 30 after that. They don't get any easier.
In fact, they only get harder because I'm matched with players new to the game; new players struggle with survivor role and steamroll with killer role.
----
It gets to the point where we're lucky to get 1 or 2 gens done before everyone's dead.
I know about things like BBQ and use lockers to hide my aura while my team does not. They all keep giving the killer free momentum.
The hatch is the best I can hope for, and maybe exit gates after that, yet I keep getting comments about how I don't deserve a free easy escape every time I bring up changes to hatch and exit gates.
SWF will over-altruistically throw themselves at you when the game falls apart, not wait for a hatch play (now that DC penalties hamper the DC for hatch strat). Let the steamrolled solos have something!
i mostly speak about killer`s expirience. i have no idea how survivior`s system is supposed to work and what system is based on.

idk why ppl says here about MMR. i like to watch streams and almost never see nurse. I see some pros such as JRM facing diffirent killers but mostly Huntreses, nemesis, legion.
and btw the more game developls the less problems with imbalance killers you have because pool of killers. People like to play fun killers rather than strong.

i watch streams a lot. I almost never see them.

for years i cant understand those complains about camping. i belive you call camping when there are 1 gen left with 90% and surv is hooked nearby. So strategic and logical desicions are considered by you as camping. You just want walk for free and unhook.
i remember people when people compalined about camping when exit gates are open and one of surviviors is on hook. Like you have to walk away or go for a bait.

but sometimes i played billy. One succsesful charge at very beggining of match and surv DC. It happed often. Seems like they feel some sort a blow to morale. May be thinking that this round they are going to win and suddenly they are down in the first 10-15 sec.

I'm just curious.
i dont chek other platforms thats true. But 90% of pc players have their profiles open.
but it only makes my topic more reasonalbe, half of time you still can study your opponent and half you cant
-
how does this even works? i never spent any blood points on prestige. I just see no reason. It had no impact on game as far as i know.
-
they may show not exact number but only by marking certain points such as above average and very high.
this is actually frustrating not seeing anything including ranks. At the beggining of season especialy on the first days after reset you at least could understand why you lost so badly if you see 1-3 rank. You understand those are good players. Now you can only guess.
idk not showing even ranks drained from game sort of satisfaction. it is always interesting to know who your opponents are. I still chek hours after each game anyway. So DBD system that based on hide is kind of lame because you might chek player`s hours anyway
-
"experience was great, escape rate was around 50% if not higher,"
4 players each has chances of espace more than 50%?
should not there be about 20-30% chances of espape per surv which means about half of them can espape every game? It means 2 are dead and 2 survive.
Even if you play solo your team has 4 players you cant be strong as killer because he plays 1vs4. In adition to that game is supposed to be about survivial not about demolishing 1vs1 an enemy you are supposed to fear

The first two punish survivors for...surviving/playing well...and Starstruck literally punishes people running off meta builds that don't even work the majority of the time anyway...and is broken on a killer like Nurse.
Self-care is a pretty ridiculous killer perk, too. ;)
I'd also add that in the reverse, I hate Dead Hard for the same reason I hate NOED and Crowd Control; it erases mistakes and removes a need for outplay the majority of the time, especially if the survivor is laggy.

Honestly. Sadly NoED. It's the only perk that really is a hindrance. Especially when playing solo. In a game all about getting the hell out as fast as you can before the killer can kill everyone, side objectives can really be bad. Time it takes to hunt for totems and still spend the 15 - 20 seconds cleansing them as well - usually can take 2 - 5 minutes of hunting totems if you're going out of your way to try and find the last one. And that time could be spent trying to escape. When i play killer, doesn't matter who I have it on, I refuse to use the perk myself because i just feel it creates those toxic scenarios where survivors will then just flat out be toxic in endgame chat.
