I don't think they can change him without upsetting one side. Both sides will never be happy with anything. The way these devs operate, I'll guarantee they are going to please the majority.
-
Despite what the devs believe. A CD to every killer is not the solution.

On some stream they said when they do have the time. So I guess never, the game could be so much better but it seems that bug fixing is just not a high priority. No answer to operation health or anything in that regard. Maybe somebody will again post a list of fixed bugs but what does it matter that a bug of x got fixed? I mean nurse players want to play nurse and it has been a very long time since the "rework" but it is probably partly because not enough people care. go be a pinball instead
The way I view this game. It's like a patient(the game) in a hospital who lost a leg. The patient is losing a lot of blood(players). Rather than close the wound(balance) the doctors(devs) keep pumping in more blood(chapters) to keep the patient alive. It would be wiser to stop the blood flow(balance) rather than constantly pumping in more blood(dlc).
The devs get a lot of licensed killers to get new people to the game and to get old players to come back but once they see how it works, most play something else.
-
I didn't see anything in the patch notes so I assume it's yet another bug. As if those 2 seconds really make that much of a difference. If you DS'ed the killer they might tunnel you anyway just to get rid of you.
-
If undying allowed dh to keep it's 3 stacks every killer would run it. The moment you get 3 it'll stay up until they get all dull totems or they find undying.
-
She'll get fixed when covid goes away. Which will probably be never.
-
-
It works just as well against the nurse.

It was not a bug that was intended and instant blind was a thing they change it when a dev play a game vs a swf and he could not get a single hook or down that why they should play their game a bit more XD
The fact the people who made this game were the ones who thought that patch was a QoL change is just scary.
-
I use an exhaustion perk every build because I am not great at looping. When I try to cut corners I keep getting stuck on something. Also I have a terrible habit of running to areas where there is nothing or someone else already used what was there. I don't consider exhaustion perks to be 2nd chance perks like ds, unbreakable, adren. I remember the days when you recovered SB while running. Glad those days are over.

That's inaccurate. It's 100% on BHVR and their lack of proper testing.
I play Overwatch, which is on PC, PS4, Xbox, and Switch, and when they patch, even when they release a new hero, there are not as many serious bugs as we get here.
Yes, there are bugs. Every online game will have them, but it's clear they test their patches over there. Whereas it is very questionable whether BHVR does the same.
Multiple platforms is not the issue, unless the bugs were only on the Sony or Microsoft platforms. The issue is BHVR.
Then I take it back. BHVR just sucks at programming.

Play him with addons. Makes a world of difference.
That's the problem. Killers should not be designed to require add ons. An example is playing trapper without trapper bags makes for a bad experience.
-
I think someone explained this to me once before. The way steam/sony/microsoft works is the devs can't exactly test these updates until they go live. There's the PTB but that's to try out new things and to tweak numbers. I don't think they can foresee what bugs will show up until the update gets downloaded and mixed in with the existing code.
But yeah, each update introduces bugs.

to be fair.... aside from DS, pallet loop and gen rush are literally the only thing a survivor CAN do. the devs dont give us many options. What do you want us to do? run around looking for a chest aside from doing gens?
Cleanse da bones? :P
Seriously they need to give you guys something else to do. I really enjoyed the hallowed blight event because gens were popping left and right.
-
"Blight players are evolving"
Is it just me or does it feel like Killers are the ones more likely to adapt? Survivors pretty much do the same 3 things. Pallet loop, DS, Gen rush.
-
That and unless the killer is running rancor, there is hardly any negative to being the obsession. Hell it can be a positive sometimes. If the killer is using Dying Light or STBFL they are more likely to leave the obsession alone. Unless they have an alt attack that doesn't cause you to lose stacks like Demo's shread or Pig's dash.

@EvilJoshy Nevermind, just noticed it wasnt fully upgraded 😂 RIP

-
It sounds like the problem was with your team not cleansing totems. Not a lack of information from the game.
-
It looks like Blight is harder than Nurse and less rewarding. Nurse can go through walls, floors, objects. Blight has to bounce around them.
-
The point of blight is to get people to give BHVR more money.
-
It's not the first time DS was bugged. It'll be fixed in less than a week.

You have to admit though that recently killers have been getting pretty decent buffs and perks the new chapter for example the killer perks are actually really strong but the survivor perks are a little boring and underwhelming
It has gotten better since the game released. I remember the days of sc meta, recover sb while running, insta flashlights, bnp, patch 1.9.2, MoM. However for every 1 thing the devs do right, they do 2 things wrong and they tend to cater to solo rank 20 survivors.
-
@Gravewalker200 said:
I agree that the devs tend to listen to the wrong people but it is both sides so I would reword your title
It is both sides but since there tends to be 4 survivors for every 1 killer. It's still survivor sided.
-
Sounds like Nurse's add on that shows you where her blink will land. Only stronger. I imagine once people catch on they will demand nerfs and the devs will cater to them.
-
Not to brag but after you play killer for awhile, you'll start to understand why so many threads on these forums are begging the devs to stop nerfing killer.
-
Strike them down with all your hate and your journey to the killer side will be complete!
-
Anytime a new chapter releases the veterans come back in the hopes that things were fixed. They get together with their friends because we all know solo sucks. Then they crush whoever they come across. Give it a week and they will probably go back to civ 6.

yeah...it's disheartening and demotivates me to actually give feedback when none of it is taken since the devs have already made up their minds. There have been hundreds of examples throughout the years of just bad design and lack of listening, and I'm not getting the impressions that's changing any time soon.

I think the worst change the devs ever did was patch 1.9.2 I believe. The one that made it extremely easy to pallet stun or flashlight blind a killer during a pick up animation. I'm so glad they undid that one but the fact they even put it in the game tells you a lot about them. What's scary is the devs. The people who made this game. Were the ones who thought that was a good idea. Anyone with a decent amount of playtime could have told them that was a terrible idea. The one thing the devs have convinced me over the 4 years is they don't know their own game.

Its not just like that. Your Body is basically blocking the aim. So you dont know exactly where you aim unless you start using it but then u have to readjust. Also sometimes it doesnt work at all.
Furthermore, why changing something when everyone was happy how it was? Its so annoying
Why change something when people were happy with the way it was?
Why give nurse a cd to her blinks? Why give billys chainsaw an overheat mechanic? Why adjust auras for the color blind? I stopped asking why the devs do what they do and instead I ask "When" will they fix it?
-
Every update something breaks. Which is why I don't play till after a week it released.
-
I feel his power is dumb. Like Legion with an extra step. I haven't judged him yet. Just looking at his power I feel he would be low tier but that's just my opinion and that is subject to change. I'll wait till several people play him to see where he stands. I remember when Freddy first got here survivors said he was OP and killers said he was weak. Anyone who was around at that time knows how that turned out -.-
As of now I'm not purchasing blight. He looks frustrating to play as and I'm seeing posts claiming his perks aren't working.
-
You would think they'd learn by now. Last graphic update they screwed up auras so bad they had to revert it. Why did they even make it in the first place? Was there a crowd of color blind people outside their HQ with signs protesting about graphics?

"I didnt start this" is basically the same a 5 year old says when they punched their 6 year old sibling and their mom gets angry at them.
My sibling is 6 years older than me. Punching him first or last was never a fair fight :P
My point still stands. Treat the disease(SWF). Not the symptoms(Reaction).

So you completely justify ruining the experience of another Survivor-Team because a Survivor Team you had before were acting like dicks?
You can also vent by NOT going into the next game when teabagging or flashlight-clicking makes you that upset.
Yes I do. The difference is I didn't start this and I will stop after 1 match. Meanwhile that toxic swf will continue to be toxic for as long as they play. Instead of telling me what to do you should find that swf that was toxic in the first place and lecture them.
-
It kinda works both ways. I've had trouble getting him out of stealth and I've had survivors break me out while I was behind a tree.

"The problem is a killer gets bullyed by toxic swf and they can only take it out on the people they come across in the next match. Those people didn't have anything to do with it."
Yeah, but why even take it out on them in the first place? Like, I also dont grab my Skeleton Key after I got morid by an Iri Head Huntress or a Stridor Spirit just to get a Hatch escape against that poor Wraith in the next game I play.
I am not saying that this behavior is any good and players should not act like that, but in the end, you are all getting offended by players teabagging (and flashlight-clicking) in a videogame.
"Why take it out on them in the first place"
Why was the swf toxic in the first place? Besides venting is good. Letting all that angry bottle up until it explodes leads to something worse.
-
This kind of behavior is what ruins the game. People acting like this are no fun to play with and causes other people to be try hards. The problem is a killer gets bullyed by toxic swf and they can only take it out on the people they come across in the next match. Those people didn't have anything to do with it.
-
My argument with DS is when people deliberately get your attention because they have DS. Ive said this in numerous threads and I'll say it again.
I chase+down+hook survivor A
I leave.
Chase survivor B
Someone saves survivor A.
Down+hook survivor B.
Before I even get to leave, Survivor A rescues B right in my face.
I assume Survivor B has BT+DS so I go after A.
Survivor A jumps into a locker -.-
I wasn't tunneling and I still got punished for it. There should be a rule where if the killer hooks someone else your DS shuts off. Or make it so locker grabs don't trigger it. For this reason I do not run DS on any of my survivors. I feel if I needed it to escape I shouldn't have escaped. If the killer face camps me, I know to stay on the hook so everyone else can finish gens.

It's funny because my wife plays on xbox and over the course had only 1 disconnect and that was as a killer and was instant. It seems the people who dc are high ranks rage quitters or people in the bayous with satellite internet on a rainy day.
Unfortunately you'll have those people who find any reason to blame anything but their lack of skill because "he's on PC" is a common one or "laggy console"
Regardless of what platform you use. There are tons of people who rage quit for pathetic reasons or no reason at all.
Personally I think consoles frustration stems from the fact that this game was made for pc and console was an after thought. Hence why the console version has issues the PC side does not. Also because this game came out on PC first we have already gone through boot camp so to speak. If this was the military, console is the army and PC is the seals. Now that cross play is a thing the army is going through Hell Week.

I'm not saying SWF's don't have great advantages, but I'd encourage a lot of new players to play a fair bit of solo, for the same reason you try not to use perks- so you build/learn fundamental skills instead of using them as a crutch.
I will duo SWF sometimes and I can honestly say I usually perform worse, and I believe it's because I rely too much on communication and teammate than my own skills. Sometimes SWF mind games itself without any help from the Killer.
One night I was in a 4 man swf and discord was acting up. We actually played the game as intended. It was more enjoyable.
-
NOED doesn't work on a pigs dash or demos shred. I can see why hatchets don't one shot people when they are under exposure. I don't like it but I can understand it.
-
I make it a policy to never skip a lobby. If it's a bad match I'll stick around till the end. The only time I will leave is if someone is certainly cheating/hacking. I've had some stuff happen that was suspicious but not convicting. Then I've had a survivor who was SBing everywhere. That was certain. I suppose if I was at the lobby screen and there was someone infamous who is a convicted cheater I probably would back out.

We could really use it. I can't explain to people why games failed if I can't talk to them. And no, it's not even a being toxic type deal, I just want to tell survivors that do absolutely nothing but generators that you lose games that way if more than one person does it, and even then it's super sketch.
Majority of people I defeat don't want to hear what they can do better. They just want to cry for nerfs. I actually enjoy the fact console players can't send me hate messages.
-
IT is NOT tunneling if I am running MYC and I come after you because you are exposed
IT is NOT tunneling if I come back to the hook, all I see is a blood trail and the rescuer is no where to be found. Seriously if I have nothing else to go on then I'm following the blood trail. Blame your teammate for not grabbing my attention.

When it comes to maps, I would say most of the autohaven maps are fine, otherwise I agree, also when it comes to perks I'd also suggest just looking at the strength of the best perks for both sides, sure some you have to wait to be in shrine or pay for, but the highest potential should be looked at.
The only autohaven map I hate is the one where the shack is in the absolute middle of the map. If the killer has agitation your almost always going to the basement.

Bad survivors.
The game is killer sided only if the survivors are total potatoes, otherwise it's the killer that has to tryhard as ######### to do anything.

I wish I could give you a gold star.
⭐
There we go.
Well to elaborate, swf plus headsets. Headsets give you so many perks for free. People know where the killer is, what he is doing, who he is chasing. The entire team knows when it's safe to work on gens, when it's safe to save someone, to take a hit with BT, to waste the killers time with DS, when to pop adren to screw the killer out of another down.
Also maps like Lerys, the game and Hawkins are not trapper friendly. Id say they are the worst for him because there is almost zero tall grass. Traps are pretty obvious. Indoor maps are just as bad for nurse. She can surprise you but that's only if she can see you. A lot of los blockers on those maps.
