Yes, they will implement you throw a hatchet and have to wait for a charge bar to fill up until you can lift your arm again. If you hold a hatchet for too long your arm starts to get tired and you suffer a overheat mechanic, I mean tiredness mechanic, and have to wait for a period until your arm is better and can throw hatchets again. After Billys "rework"(read butchering) I would not be surprised to see cool downs on every killer which nobody wanted. Of course it will be the end of Huntress just like Nurse and Billy.
Or your given 5 hatchets that are scattered across the map and you have to pick them up like trapper. Throwing them uses one and you have to run to where you think it landed to retrieve it.
-
I agree on both.
Id play Nurse more if BHVR ever fixed her damn bugs introduced in her rework a year ago.
-
Cause the devs don't play their own game.
-
IMO any game that has a multiplayer aspect gets more intense after dinner time leading into midnight. That's usually when school/work is over, people have had their food and they are killing time till they go to bed.
-
I dunno. Blizzard seems to be in the lead for that title.

She had fathers glasses which was obvious from my first hit I knew she wasn't gonna see my scratches. She also had stridor and me no iron will. I don't see you going against a spirit who knows their audio a good one has no counter thats the problem. All you can do is look and judge put yourself in the situation I was in. Also I was planning on killing myself on hook If its gonna be a boring game I mean re queue and go to the next.
and your the reason why there should be punishments for hook suicides. Those 4 other people paid for this game the same as you and you ruined thier match because you weren't having fun.
-
You do know when you run you leave tracks right? Cause she can see those while phasing. You didn't even attempt to stealth or mind game her. You just kept running hoping her duration would run out before she found you. This video only proves you don't know how to counter a spirit. If you don't like facing spirits then maybe you and the rest of the survivor community should stop begging for nerfs.
-
I rarely play anymore but I P3ed PH just for that reason. When I get people tormented I leave it on them until I suspect they have DS.
-
I think if this were to happen EVERYONE would pick Claudette and Spirit.........in fact this did happen once before. In a tournament they set the rules to no perks, items, offerings, add ons. Every survivor picked Claudette because of stealth and every killer picked Nurse. This was pre rework.

Ds is fine as long as you are changing targets quickly (I'd reccomend bbq and chili for this) you can easily avoid ds. I usually don't get hit with it at all. It's just when you get hit ya kinda get #########
No its not fine. Too often I down 1, hook and leave. Then when I down a second survivor the very first one comes to me to make the save because they have DS. At that point BOTH targets could have DS. 1 could have DS+BT so either decision hurts me and leaving them both alone isn't an option either. Best part is I wasn't tunneling yet I still get punished by an anti tunnel perk.
-
Cool idea but most survivors dont use lockers so his power wouldnt catch many people. It would be great for map pressure though. Offensive however, once people know who the killer is they will stay away from lockers. Its better to go hunting rather then hoping they come to you.

@Slashstreetboy said:
Disclaimer: Although frequently labeled and used as such, DS isn´t just an anti tunnel perk. I think it´s fine as is btw, with two exceptions: Paired with UB to form the uncounterable combo and in Endgame where getting unhooked within 150 yards of the gates means you escaped no matter what.
Gen speed can and can´t be fine at the same time imo. It depends on the Killer chosen, the tiles that spawned as well as the map, and the willingness of the survivors to hold m1.
Personally I think we should have some sort of AI overlord watching the progress of the game. If gens are progressing too fast it slows them down. If the killer is on a roll or people have died/quit it speeds them up.
-
I thought the devs said they don't want to add more survivor objectives for balancing issues? Not that I wouldn't mind more objectives. The hallowed blight event was neat from a killer perspective because killers without map pressure weren't being gen rushed as much.

There's also TheEntityLeftHand and Humerogamers on twitch. They are pretty good trapper mains.

MMR isn't affecting matchmaking, but I am absolutely willing to bet that it is still gathering data in the background for its rerelease.
It was suppose to be gathering data in the background 1 month "before" the MMR was turned on. We all know how well that went. It probably needs more data to place people in their respective ranks so I do believe it is still running.

Wasn't F13's interactions just DbD Skill Checks, just multiple on the same circle? And it was easier/harder depending on the characters skills? Been too long since I played that game
I only played it like 3 times so I don't even remember. Every time I was Jason people quit and when I was a counselor. If I died early I had to sit there and watch everyone else place until it ended if I wanted my exp. If I want to watch people play a game I'll go to youtube or twitch.

Do you really think BHVR could pull off something like this?
Try falling off an hills recently?
They could pull it off. But it won't run smoothly until a year after it's introduced.
I only played it for a few hours but FT13th had some mini game for pouring gas into the boat or the car. More interesting than hold M1

If we were to take out deep wounds, BT would basically be removed. I'm a killer main and I have zero issue with BT. Id rather have that in the game so people have a "chance" against face campers.

I dont think ive had that happen before.

Nothing switches on my sweat glands faster than seeing map offerings and keys before the match even begins.
You bring me streamers? You get the hatch. You click your flashlight at me? You get the hook.
You bring a key. You get a mori >.>

We were never born killers. We were made into killers by countless tea bagging, flash lights and DS stab wounds :P
We are products of our environment and this environment is extremely salty.
-
I think survivors make mistakes ALL the time. The issue is every time the survivor screws up, instead of admitting it they scream "so and so is OP. Plz Nerf!"
Not just survivors. There's plenty of killers who do this too. Seeing as how there's usually 4 survivors for every killer it just feels like there's more survivors doing it.
-
I think Nurse's green and above add ons suck since her rework. Don't get me wrong, the add ons that gave 4X needed to go but most of her add ons now are useless. The only good ones are things that reduce cd, increase distance, reduce fatigue duration. The rest I just flat out would not use.
"More blinks but can't go through walls" Whats the point then?
"Disables blinks but increases movement speed after hitting a survivor" Why turn yourself into an M1 killer?
"Only 1 blink but movement speed is increased" Again, why turn yourself into an M1 killer? Why even introduce add ons that remove your power in the first place?

What does that have to do with an unnecessary cooldown?
BHVR "We need to think of a new perk? How about combining a Hex perk and a CD?"
"How original" -.-
It's pretty obvious the people making these decisions don't actually play their own game. Otherwise they would know something would never be used or something would be broken. Old MoM for example.
-
I think BHVR is out of ideas.
-
NC for finding injured people
Whispers. When I patrol a gen and Whispers goes off I know someone is nearby. That's when I pop my power and check the gen.
Corrupt/Pop/Ruin for gen regression. If Ruin I will combine it with Surveillance.
If I have a spare slot it's usually one of these. Discordance or Thrilling Tremors for more tracking. BBQ for farming. Franklins for keys. STBFL because it's great on M1 killers. Sloppy for slow downs.
-
PH counters it. If you can get them under the effect of torment. Just hook them every time and send them to a cage if they were saved recently.
-
They nerfed ruin because the devs cater to new players. Instead of telling them to learn how to hit great skill checks, they lowered the bar. Then the gen rush got worse after they nerfed ruin. Literally a week after they nerfed ruin they nerfed tool boxes. That screams damage control. They forgot(or never realized) why ruin was used in 95% of matches. It's because survivors actually control the flow of the match. When they nerfed it and saw how fast gens were flying they nerfed tool boxes in a desperate attempt to keep the killers from "playing something else". The logic they gave to nerf ruin was also ridiculous. If we follow that same logic DS should have been reworked, but since survivors are the majority they won't ever hit them with the nerf hammer like they do to killers.
-
I p3 only people I like because of the grind. I could lvl them to 50 and just continue to pour BP into them. I don't do that because I'm worried one day I might say decide to prestige that person. Then all those BP i poured into them just dug myself a deeper hole. It's a really bad system if you ask me but it keeps us here longer. So BHVR won't change it.

That idea would be very interesting and unique, A SCP chapter would be nice (I was quite a fan of the game back in the day lol)
People suggest putting SCP into DBD but what about putting dbd into scp? The Entity would make an excellent SCP. A creature that traps people in it's reality. Tortures people endlessly until they do it's bidding. Encourages victims to escape while snatching it away at the last moment to feed off their hope. It doesn't release them even after death. Good luck trying to contain that. Best they can do it quarantine the areas where it can grab people.

Benedict was an investigator looking into missing persons cases who accidentally got pulled into the entity. He used to write a lot of the lore entries, they were canonically part of his journal, but he hasn't been used in a long time.
The Observer is from a magically enlightened world, and was part of an organization researching beings like the entity. He has a tool from his world that allows him to manipulate the entity and view the memories of others within it. He is still trapped within it, but has his own pocket that he controls which is the Archive.
Vigo is a mystery, but it's known that he learned to manipulate the entity, devised the original blight formula, and found a way to escape for good, possibly using the blight serum. It's also theorized that he created the hatch, and possibly the generators and gate. He has/had a tool similar to the Observer's, how he got it is unknown.
The Alchemist was pulled into the entity from an opium den, he found Vigo's old laboratory and notes and attempted to follow in his footsteps, experimenting on killers and survivors to perfect the formula. But he became addicted to the serum and surrendered to the entity. Now he has devolved into the Blight, and presumably he runs wild harvesting blight from survivors to feed his addiction.
Is the Blight the person in the cut scenes of the hallowed blight event? The one experimenting on killers with the formula and at the end he says "The entity has found me".

Funny, that's what I say when I bully killers. My job is to survive, not be a kill some think they're entitled to just cause they pick killer.
So long as you remember that cuts both ways, were good. Survivors aren't entitled to escape and killers aren't entitled to a kill. They each have to work for it.

When the gates are open, if I have someone on a hook and I have no means of one shoting another survivor, I ain't going anywhere. Survivors have too many tools to save that person. BT, DS, Body Blocking. If I can down another survivor before they get to the gates I will attempt but if I can't then I will secure my kill.
-
The Thing is perhaps my favorite sci-fi horror movie of all time. Right up there with Event Horizon. However this killer would literally be destroyed by the most powerful tool in a survivors arsenal. Headsets. This would become another killer who may crush randoms but gets crushed by SWF.
I like the idea of Who Goes There. It would be amazing on the Plague
-
Contrary to popular belief you don't need DS to play survivor. Your side controls the flow of the match. Gen slow down perks however are damn near mandatory on most killers who lack map pressure.
-
Hey is this still a thing? Like a month after GF came out a killer did this to me. It was one of Macmillian maps. The one with the shack on one end and the structure to enter the mine on the other end. I was being chased by a GF. I was looping him around a pallet when somehow he walked over top of the 8ft high rock and smacked me. Completely bypassing the loop as if he was a nurse. He hooked me and teabagged till I died on hook. Then he defends his actions by saying "It's in the game so it's not illegal" Just because they haven't patched something doesn't mean it's allowed. I haven't seen it since then but has that been fixed?

I would love more if they buffed Myers, Pig, Clown and Legion tbh..
I would like them to take a break from new content and focus on balancing whats already here. However from a business perspective, they make more money selling us a new killer. They don't make money for patches because we don't have to pay for those.

You'd think most of their money comes from cosmetics and rift stuff considering that the non-licensed killers can be bought with iridescent shards for free but I guess you're right. There's no money in rebalances and reworks.
Chapters tend to bring back old players, thus increasing the sales of cosmetics. Also licensed killers attract newer players. Fresh meat for the grinder.

I think Cleanse da bones will just turn into Cleanse ALL da bones
I thought this perk would be super fun but broken with Devour Hope but then I read stacks don't carry over. There would be no reason to run this with DH or Lullaby.

Thats the only counter to moris though. In event of a mori, thats completely fair. Any other time tho, that is a problem.
DS gets used more than moris if you ask me. The only time I bring a mori is if I have a daily. If Im using Devour Hope and I get 5 stacks I feel I earned that because they knew I was running it by the 3rd stack.
-
I don't think ive seen someone claim she was OP. Ive no doubt somewhere on here somebody has made a thread stating that. Truth is she is near bottom tier. She could use some buffs. Especially after the EGC nerfed her end game power without compensation.
-
Bad advice I see a lot. Survivors telling people to always bring DS. If you need DS to escape then maybe you shouldn't have escaped. I know someone is going to say "Killers tunnel me to death" Either learn to be better at chases, learn to hide or play with swf so they can finish gens while your being tunneled.

Two things. One, noed is fair, and so is ds. And two, not saying everyone does this, but a lot, if not most, killer players will tunnel if theres no obsession, making it essential in high ranks, where killers know no obsession=no ds. The only problem with ds is comboing it with unbreakable.
My only issue with DS is lockers and when people deliberately go towards the killer BECAUSE they have ds. Often I hook survivor A, I leave. Find survivor B, someone saves A, I hook survivor B and before I can even walk away Survivor A makes a save right in front of me. I assume B has BT+DS so I go after A. Survivor A has DS or unbreakable. In that situation I am forced to eat a DS. There is no right answer on who to chase. Both will waste my time and I don't have as much as the survivors.
-
Give up DS and you can gladly take away NOED. Most killers don't even use it at high ranks. Almost all survivors use DS at high rank.

Yeah, uh, had one last night. Playing with a mate who basically never plays so I was using an alternate account.
Still ran them really well and literally only got hit ONCE.
Not to say you didn't lead a good chase but if you only got hit once then it wasn't a good nurse.
-
Wait till you face a PC Nurse who knows how to blink.
-
I only play the game with friends these days. I was a killer main but I got fed up with the survivor's rule book for killers.
-
I haven't seen any since his rework but then again I rarely play anymore. I played for like 5 hours with some friends and we saw several killers. None were billy. We even saw a Nurse. Then the MMR system came out and we just haven't played since.
-
After all the talk about the last chapter, I'm going to wait until I actually see who the new killer is. Last chapter I thought for sure it was Candy Man. I wasn't disappointed it was PH but the way the devs hyped up the reveal, they made it sound like they got the rights to Jason.
